Nigeria have named fit-again Chelsea midfielder Mikel John Obi in their final 23-man squad for the World Cup, while they will not take a chance on Real Zaragoza striker Ikechukwu Uche.

Nice defender Onyekachi Apam, who has been nursing a knee problem, was also axed from the party.

Top team official, Emmanuel Attah, confirmed the final squad for the World Cup.

Mikel is recuperating from a knee surgery and only joined up with the rest of the squad Friday morning after he was certified fit by doctors of his London club.

Ikechukwu Uche was joint top scorer in the qualifiers with four goals but has been out of action for seven months following a major knee injury.

The other dropped players are Peter Utaka, Victor Anichebe, Bassey Akpan, Terna Suswan and Brown Ideye.

Argentina defend very deep, the full backs dnt overlap at all, infact they are given strict instructions not to across the middle line.

@Iyineda, Lagerback usually starts with 4-4-2, but toward the end of the match it changes to sumtin lyk 4-3-3.
Am suspecting that he is not going to use 4-4-2 against argentina.

I was surprised when i saw Kaita attacking the right flank, I was thinking that with the 3DMs,   kaita will be covering for odiah while the full back is overlapping.

Haruna should cool his temper, he gets angry easily.  Tawio was playing with caution, Is he scared that he will be leftout.

I have this theory that the aim of this match for lagerback was possesion football and organisation. The guys were just happy passing the ball around.

The key to this game is the midfield. and i guess lagerback is working on it.

Messi needs to be marked, that why he is in the middle of three players(Adeyele, tawio, and etuhu)
etuhu and mikel will also watch veron.

Midfield is the key, etuhu job is to assist the defend in handling messi. physical presence is needed in the midfield to fustrate veron and "masherano" That is why etuhu and mikel will start.

their defence (otamendi, samuel, demichelis, henizie) is too slow. They are given strict instructions not to cross the middle line, so our main goal should be to get the ball behind the defence with pace.
