^^^,
They have more experience in this kind of issue. Through the bomb signature, they can know its origin.

if they discover the origin and submits the report to Federal Government, the question is 'what happens?'
FG was alerted of explosives that landed in Nigeria, nothing was done abt it, the custom seized the containers and today, the owners have claimed the content and those xplosives ended up to their destinations in this country.

Where do these bombs come into Nigeria? through our borders right? we have Immigration, Customs, police, NDLEA and all what nots, what are they doing? collecting bribe, my brother solving our security problem is much more than bringing FBI agents.

Now someone is sentenced to death for N51,000? because he is a poor man?
Politics / Re: To All GEJ Supporters - Do You Regret Your Vote? by SUV(f): 11:35am On Jun 21, 2011
True, I was condering regretting it but could not do so because the alternatives would have been worse off. He might not have been the best Nigerian fit for the Presidency but he was certainly better than the front-runners with whom he ran for the presidency: till now he is still better.

Buhari would have probably handed us all to his brothers, the Boko Haram; Shekarau was said to have led the 'Akaluka Riot' of 2002 in Kano; Ribadu would have been an alternative but even he (Ribadu) realised late that Tinubu was only playing politics with his (Ribadu's) candidature. ACN was not ready to vie for the presidency, the party was simply just looking for more states and more legislative seats and then be poised for a 'snatch' in 2015. Ribadu ought to have been smart enough to know that, but ambition blinds reasons.

you just said what was on my mind

at least the man is Fake!
what about those that are not fake that give wrong medications & treatments for wrong illnesses?

I am afraid of going to hospital these days, i've lost 2 people cos they were giving wrong medications by the professional and non-fake doctors!

The rate at which we have lost expertise in medical practice is alarming. there is no check on who is qualified as long as u hv certificate, u can practice. they experiment wit pple's lives.

God save us from the hands of quack professionals that are everywhere.

Fake and quack what is the difference?
Politics / Re: Gen Buhari Deserve A Post In Jonathan's Govt by SUV(f): 3:50pm On Jun 20, 2011
Though he has been a nuisance of late trying to defend his candidature and wrongly influencing the aboki`s in the north to spring up violence. However, on a neutral ground i think he deserves a post in Jonathan's Govt. I have lived in the north for 25years though i am not a Muslim and i have been privileged to know Buhari as a person rather than the fanatic people take him to be. He his a man that fights for what he believes in and why i feel he deserves a seat in the present administration is that he is not a corrupt individual. Though most Nigerians might think otherwise but i would give an instance. when he was the head of Ptf under the Abacha's regime, he had all the opportunity in life to enrich himself but he choose to use that money to give the north good roads. He might not be an angle or the saviour we are looking for but i am sure that he is far better off than most of the politicians we have today;to buttress more on this just take a trip to Daura in katsina state and see for yourself where hé is living, you will understand that this man thinks more of the betterment of the country than enriching himself.

at least u acknowledged his mischief, that was just a piece of dividend of democracy for his supporters during the election.
He used the money from PTF to build road for 'NORTHERNERS' BUHAR is very tribalistic, so the rest of non-northerners can go to blazes abi?
Where he lives has nothing to do with Corruption, he is simply too backward in thinking.

NO! NO!! and NO!!!.

I would rather have lili-livered jonathan without violence and endure till 2015 when Fashola will become president. Our future hope and messiah!

I am more concerned if it is free or another business venture. I have lost respect for a lot of these MOGs, it will take a while for me to go to church again cos it seems "men of God" these days are as vane as the people they preach to. Everything to them these days is business, charity is usually pittance but the ones that will involve large chunk of cash is no charity, so much talk about giving your widow's might.
Until I confirm that whatever it is they do there is free of Charge, I will just siddon dey look them as dem dey decieve their very dumb congregations.

Abi oh!

let's wait for all of them to come back to this forum for the part 2 of discussion with the topic:  PAstor Adeboye milking patients dry with high cost at the hospital. you will see another angle to the story.

I think the response of mr president really beat my imagination.

i was xpecting  We'd get a a long boring speech of how "some bad elements" who "being controlled by demon" will stop at nothing to see Nigeria break apart.  And how me,, Goodluck Ebele Azikwe Babangida junior, have directed the National Security adviser to set up a joint task force consisting of men of the Nigerian navy, aifroce and Army, to fish out these "bad elements" and make them face justice.

"You can be rest assured that i feel every pain you are going through . . .when i was in school, i carried my books on my head and I trekked everyday barefooted from home to school.

His speech is improving!

Only in The Synagogue Church of All Nations that has given back to the society. He has given millions scholarships to none members of the church and even tell them to go back to their respective churches to worship. He has given all his most valuable gifts to humanity. The handicapped Nigerians who went to the Olympics in India were all rewarded and given cars and 1 million naira with bags of rice to go and live a normal life. The Federal government or other churches has not emulated this man of God to render love to mankind. He has exhibited true LOVE Jesus Christ preached and also what God Almighty created this world for. To love our friends and even our enemies as ourselves. I do not worship there. I have seen the Muslims, rejected persons and beggars, given money and food to establish and stop begging and also preach and instruct them to go back and worship in their mosques. The widows has been given hope and life and all widows that comes from anywhere will be rehabilitated and all their children given scholarships from the nursery to the University and also do tell them to go back to where they worship and worship there. I saw a guy who came to the church from Christ Embassy to seek for financial assistance to go to school. He gave him scholarship to the University and also instructed him to worship in Christ Embassy where he worships. He did not ask him why? Other people like that. I saw a widow with 7 children; he gave them all scholarship through from nursery to the University level. I further saw a white woman who is a widow, he gave her money, thousands of dollars. He is e genuine man of God. One thing is that we do not appreciate what we are blessed with, until this man T. B. Joshua departs from us when his time comes. Just like what happened when Jesus Christ came and His people rejected him and it was after He left, that they realized who He was.

I have been trying to picture who this man is and I have come to the conclusion that truly he was sent by God.

Well said. i agree with you.

let Adeboye, Bakare, Oyakilome, Ashimolowe, Lazarus Muoka Adeyemi and Oyedepo (and the upcoming rich pastors) compete on giving back to society rather than how many private jets they have, how many business empire they control, my house is bigger than yours,  and endless vain competition

Milking the gullible desperate congregation dry and hypnotize them with fighting witches and wizards on their behalf.

Chei, Nigerians can believe anything and anybody in the name of church. Poverty is not good!

Politics / Re: Pdp Strived To Field Fashola For The April Polls --kwankwaso by SUV(f): 10:41am On Jun 16, 2011
We shouldnt get ahead of ourselves Ok?

Lagos used to be the former state capital.

Fashola has more money than they, the rest, will have have access to?

Lagos is the Commercial nerve center of Lagos, not because of Fashola's policy.  Fashola has had no ground-breaking economic policy effect whatsoever on Lagos. He is building roads, No. repairing, yes.  Is he attracting more jobs to Lagos? As in Big companies? Not sure, but havent heard any?  Employment rate in Lagos is still the highest in the country. Are jobs moving away from Lagos? Well, Federal Government parastatals are moving away to Abuja, gradually, but surely. Good thing? Yes and NO? Not sure how many of them, federal employees, pay state tax.

And Glo's HQ is in IB, not Lag? A big loss to Lagos, but quite a good thing for the rest of the country as a whole.

Education? How many schools has he built? How many new teachers has he employed? Any new policy to improve WAEC/JAMB results of Lagos State students? Nada, All these 'bojuboju' thing WRT paying for their exam fees isnt gonna change anything in the long run. We dont even know how much of that amount is actually used to pay for the exam fees and what percentage finds its way to Omo Alhaja's Swiss account.

Health? Not sure whaat he is doing? Gbagada general, from what my friends tell me, is still as decrepit as ever. Lagos State doctors/nurses just came back from strike, init? and LASU professors too, No?

I can go on, but I have other stuff to do.

Anyway, my point is, it is still the usual inept administration we are used to in Lagos, and indeed in Nigeria, besides repairing roads, beautifying streets, employing Tinubu's touts/thugs ( for reasons that are well obvious to us all), his never ending rigmarole with his "mentor," and his, manipulative, penchant to inundate us with seemingly new (already thought off, but discarded by previous administrations),  impractical, 'un-implementable,' yet photo-op-able projects. I really dont get the hullabaloo

Any monkey could have done what he is doing. With money, anyone would have achieved what he has achieved, if not more.

Shows how myopic u are.

How much allocation from federal govt goes  to Lagos state? compare that with Rivers, Bayelsa, and the rest of the states and match it with the state population of each state, before you come here to expose your ignorance.

pls pple like u are permanently blind cos u cannot differentiate light from darkness.

Unless there is something I am missing in elementary voltage calculations, is it not possible to connect an infinite number of batteries to the inverter to generate more power in the energy bank? I am assuming that this works as sort of a repository of the energy.

So more power in repository = more available power to use up. Which means I can if want to - use an AC, electric iron, PC, Fridge - add an infinite number of batteries (assuming I can) and use up as much power as available in the repository.

If this is true, then I think it is slightly wrong to advice not to use a high-power consuming device with an inverter without suggesting first that the client adds more batteries.

Has this advice been given on the premise of cost saving?

Only of course if my assertion is skewed and I need a total overhaul of my understanding of it all.

Nobody in this forum has advised people not to use high-power consuming appliances.

what we are saying is that u have to do some calculations before you add load to your inverter. the capacity of inverter and battery must complement the load for maximum output, durability and efficiency. Also the cost differs depending on the need.
what u said is very correct.
we are just advising pple, that since one cannot use an i better pass generator to power A/C same applies to inverter.

suv welldone even as a female you know what it entail but i guess you ar a technical person

Well, I read physics in university, but that’s besides the point. When it stopped the first time, I went back to the dealer and paid N1,500 and I saw it was just the fuse they changed, so I decided to do it myself the next time.
The only reason why it will stop is when u mistakenly leave the freezer, A/c or any higher appliance on before switching the inverter on, the inverter will trip off and the fuse will go bad to protect the equipment. Generally, I think inverter is easy to maintain.
Whenever u hv problem wit ur inverter, post it on nairaland, just be sure of what exactly happened, am sure u will get a helpful answer.

@SUV: Any dealer address/contact for the Genus Inverter. Am in Lagso state. Many thanks!

Gaoxinqui is the company name, it is located at end of Opebi road towards Maryland side, I will check the receipt for the full contact details and get back to u.
I met them during an event where they had exhibition. They also sell PAXB phones, UPS and other accessories.

House i've got additional info here:

some pple are asking for the good brand: i am not sure if mine is the best but i use Genus.
(over 2yrs now)

It is very easy to maintain, if it stops working make sure u can tell the last thing u did b4 it stopped. simply bring out the fuse (the type used for stablizers) it is sold for N20, and replace it, it will continue to work.

It takes 5hrs for my 1.5KVA and 150amps battery (one battery) to be fully charged (it shows green light when fully charged) and i use it for 8hrs on the load equivalent to what ( I better pass) gen can carry.

so if you charge for 2hrs, u can use it for up to 4hrs, but if u reduce the load, u can use it for longer time.

Usage period depends on the load added. it doesn't spoil easily like i've read on this thread.

In my area, we dont ever have light, so i use 2.5KVA gen to charge it. when u r connecting i think it is better to put ur inverter on neutral, when u switch off from NEPA and GEN then the neutral point will be for inverter (in-case u have other pple in the house that will operate the inverter).

but we bought from Gaoxinqui (end of Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos). its a 1.5KVA and the battery (sorry i need to confirm the rand name as well. i will give u the full details tomorrow.

if u use it well, u will enjoy it.

I forgot to add that fully charged 1 battery with minimum load can last up to 8hrs.

we charge the inverter from 6.pm with Gen to 11.p.m., then use it from 11.pm to 7.00 a.m the next morning (3 fans and 1 bulb).

thank God for the inverter, my children cannot sleep without light, instead of using gen overnight, we use inverter overnight. saves me fuel cost for 8hrs (abt 6litrs of fuel =N600 using jerrycan)

first: for 1.5KVA inverter = u need at least 2.5KVA gen to charge it. that's what i have currently.

the first response is 100% correct.

Do not allow it to go off by itself cos it weakens the battery.

Equivalent load on inverter to Gen should be: i better pass = 1.5KVA inverter + 1 battery.

so do the maths in adding load to ur inverter.

its good, efficient, no-noise, cheaper (on the long run), but you must have a generator before u can get an inverter cos u cannot rely on NEPA to charge ur inverter even though NEPA charges it faster.

Cost: 1.5KVA (N25,000) + 1 battery (30,000) + installation (7,500) = N62,500.

then 2.5KVA gen (standby) **wink**

Good luck.

Why are people blaming Buhari for this ? Some irate youths are going on rampage and people are screaming Buhari? Why is there no crises in his home state of Kastina.

The youths should calm down and not turn this int o a tribal thing. If they must fight let them fight their leaders who sold out.

u r lucky that the post below answred u better than i would hv done.

All it takes for the violence to stop is for the leader of these guys,(Buhari) to come out and call for an end to the violence!! He started the call for violence by asking the illiterates to lynch election riggers without explaining to them what election rigging means. If he is a good leader and loves all Nigerians irrespective of your tribe or religion, he would call out on these people to stop the killing and violence. But as usual the General never condemns violence! He would probably not say a word!

Why does it surprise you that youths are rioting?

How this these resultes reconcile with all on-line polls that have Buhari far far ahead of GEJ?

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-585935.0.html

U r so dumb! During the US election of Algore vrs Bush (second term)., the online polls pointed to Algore winning with wide margin, all the research said the same thing, but what happened, Bush won the election convincingly.

I don’t think u r in UK, may be in one bush village, cos ur thinking does not reflect ur exposure at all.

How can u tell us that voted here in Nigeria that elections were rigged? I suspect u r the ones supplying them, the arms they are using to fight, cos u prepared for violence by giving ur master(BUHARI) hopes that he will win.
