Politics / Re: One Of The Appeal Court Judges On Kano Case Is CJN’s Nephew - Chidi Odinkalu by sweetgala(m): 9:24am On Nov 24, 2023 |
Ttalk: It's very common for families to have multiple judges in a family because careers like accounting, law, aviation can be very strong in some families. I know of a family where most of the children are lawyers , and also know a family of accountants |
Politics / Re: One Of The Appeal Court Judges On Kano Case Is CJN’s Nephew - Chidi Odinkalu by sweetgala(m): 9:22am On Nov 24, 2023 |
Politicstoday: Are you suggesting that the nephew has no right to pursue a career as a judge because his uncle is a judge. And you do realise a judge of the court if appeals can't just jump from being a lawyer to that bench without a stipulated number of years served at the lower court. You can only argue that his promotion to the court of appeals was influenced by his uncle who is the president of the NJC, that doesn't exclude the competence of the judge. 1 Like |

yinkus6750: The failure of the NNPP is a schoolboy error which any serious politician should never make, that same argument has been seriously canvassed against Gbadebo Rhode Vivour in the Lagos State elections at the tribunal and appeal. It's a very important "constitutional" provision which supersedes the electoral act/law 2022, which raises it beyond a pre-election matter and also eliminates the issue of infra-party affair, any citizen can challenge a contestant's eligibility with this clause. The party membership register is to be submitted to INEC a certain number of weeks before elections failure to so so invalidates the contestant it's as thou the party never presented a candidate to INEC |

dapsoneh: Once EFCC open a case they can easily get her in America and make a request for extradition. Only problem is America don't extradite it's citizens but she'll not be able to get away with the money. 1 Like |
Religion / Re: 'Vanity Upon Vanity' - Pastor Tobi Shows Off Fleet Of Cars On His Birthday by sweetgala(m): 11:28pm On Nov 14, 2023 |
All these young idiots paying 1500 pounds in lease monthly so they can flex with Pastor Tobi and be accepted in the team. The fact is a lot of young second/third generation Nigerians in UK are doing well they have university degree, maybe a Masters they work in finance or tech and are doing anything from 60-150k pounds in earnings and are getting nice 20k bonuses on top, with no obligations these kind of realities are not far fetched. You'll see a lot of these folks still live with their parents, can't count how many times I've seen a Ferrari etc parked in front of a 3/4 bed semi-D in a normal neighbourhood it's pathetic. Why would anyone not just plain silly pay 2000k in lease monthly. 2 Likes |

Crime / Re: Toluige Olokoobi Babalola's Husband Was Met On Top Of Her Body by sweetgala(m): 6:54am On Nov 12, 2023 |
nanauju: Depending on the twill and material type of rope there may be no markings on the neck. The time elapsed may also be important as I don't think the wife's body was there long before being discovered, would seem she waited for the husband to go to the market and used that window. |
Crime / Re: Toluige Olokoobi Babalola's Husband Was Met On Top Of Her Body by sweetgala(m): 6:47am On Nov 12, 2023 |
illicit: The neighbours are definitely stupid, the fact he was away at the market should be easy to confirm using telecoms signal. If a man comes home to find his wife in such a state and he struggles to get a full grown human over 70kgs off a rope he may topple untop of the body. 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Niger State Demands 13% Derivation From Oil Revenue; Threatens To Shut Kanji Dam by sweetgala(m): 3:28am On Nov 08, 2023 |
Guyman01: I think what he is demanding is nothing less than what they deserve. It's an oil producing state so it now enjoys the expected 13% other oil producing states get. How argument that they suffer from the reality of hosting a major hydropower dam is also realistic, the floods last year really hurt those areas and the looming issue of a dam break and water release is ever present for the farmers and residents of that state. |
Politics / Re: Datti Ahmed: Tinubu, Shettima Should Resign So Akpabio Can Conduct Elections by sweetgala(m): 1:18pm On Nov 07, 2023 |
Racoon: Please do tell me what constitutional arrangements or electoral law Akpabio or anyone in the line of leadership would use to call for an impromptu general election ahead of the 2027 schedule without upsetting and first setting aside the constitution. This man is effectively calling for a coup, this is treasonous dog whistle |

His only real chance of ever being a president came and went in the last election just concluded and was concluded with the supreme court judgement. How does he intend to defeat a Tinubu who would consolidate his influence and grip on power between now and 2027 if God spares his life |

benuejosh: Someone brought a plea before the EFCC, you do know if you fall victim of major fraud you can write to EFCC to help secure your interest. This is what happened here and that is why the EFCC lawyer spoke of the failure of the parties to resolve this out of court Ibeto has a lawyer why he failed to appear in court without any prayers is ridiculous and just damn irresponsible 4 Likes |

Alphafarms: For government to approve air peace as a national carrier it would need to buy a stake in the company at least 25%. I doubt Allen Onyema and his partners want that. You are rather ignorant of the ownership structure of air peace because Allen Onyema is only a managing partner, his case in America exposed that, his other major financier is from NC The GEJ angle is new to me, I only ever heard of the Kogi fellow who Deziani laundered money through 2 Likes |

Bennycollins: All you've done is repeat the obvious, Tinubu was the leader of APC, APC has failed , PDP has failed , leadership has failed ; for show long would you lot keep wailing and complaining. WHAT HAEV YOU DONE TO BETTER THE LOT OF YOUR OWN IMMEDIATE COMMUNITY! You can't even help yourself, you've continued to make a political statement about agriculture, the farmer on the field only cares about the economics of his input, managing his crop with respect to nature's will, and the current insecurity that plagues the farming belts they don't care which entity is in Abuja. Keep banging your head on the wall because you're upset Tinubu is president let's see if that'll put food on the table |
