Ttalk:

If the status of Odinkalu can this petty I wonder the kind of education those people get.

No surprise as many of them got admitted with a pass in English and Maths including Saint Peter Obi

It's very common for families to have multiple judges in a family because careers like accounting, law, aviation can be very strong in some families.

I know of a family where most of the children are lawyers , and also know a family of accountants

Politicstoday:
Imagine, our judiciary is been heavily compromised. So so unfortunate seriously.

Are you suggesting that the nephew has no right to pursue a career as a judge because his uncle is a judge.
And you do realise a judge of the court if appeals can't just jump from being a lawyer to that bench without a stipulated number of years served at the lower court.

You can only argue that his promotion to the court of appeals was influenced by his uncle who is the president of the NJC, that doesn't exclude the competence of the judge.

Technicalities, always looking for irrelevant areas to defeat opponents.
It was obvious people voted for them.
Sad they didn't do their homework very well.

The failure of the NNPP is a schoolboy error which any serious politician should never make, that same argument has been seriously canvassed against Gbadebo Rhode Vivour in the Lagos State elections at the tribunal and appeal.

It's a very important "constitutional" provision which supersedes the electoral act/law 2022, which raises it beyond a pre-election matter and also eliminates the issue of infra-party affair, any citizen can challenge a contestant's eligibility with this clause.

The party membership register is to be submitted to INEC a certain number of weeks before elections failure to so so invalidates the contestant it's as thou the party never presented a candidate to INEC

Crafty but not smart to know US is not a safe haven

She's a US citizen it's the perfect safe haven. America don't extradite their citizens, but she'll not be able to keep the money she may be convicted in Nigeria in exchange for serving the prison sentence in America

Correction - it's the daifhythat is a citizen if so she's not safe

On a serious note, she will be fished out, it takes informing the US embassywhich will work with EFCC AND ICPC, she will be fished out in no time excpet she does t travel with that details as mentioned above. Just a matter of time

Once EFCC open a case they can easily get her in America and make a request for extradition. Only problem is America don't extradite it's citizens but she'll not be able to get away with the money.

All these young idiots paying 1500 pounds in lease monthly so they can flex with Pastor Tobi and be accepted in the team.

The fact is a lot of young second/third generation Nigerians in UK are doing well they have university degree, maybe a Masters they work in finance or tech and are doing anything from 60-150k pounds in earnings and are getting nice 20k bonuses on top, with no obligations these kind of realities are not far fetched.

You'll see a lot of these folks still live with their parents, can't count how many times I've seen a Ferrari etc parked in front of a 3/4 bed semi-D in a normal neighbourhood it's pathetic.

Why would anyone not just plain silly pay 2000k in lease monthly.

But, there was no mark of the said rope on her nake, as stated herein by the police. Having said that, the husband has answers forthwith to exonorate himself. Too bad. Rip

If he had chocked her as some are suggesting implicitly here, there would be marks of force around her neck finger prints would be very visible and trauma would be evident.

Was tilting towards your angle of analysis until I read the last paragraph of the article. Maybe you should read it again

No mark according to the police in the suggested case of suicide was found around the neck

Depending on the twill and material type of rope there may be no markings on the neck.
The time elapsed may also be important as I don't think the wife's body was there long before being discovered, would seem she waited for the husband to go to the market and used that window.

Confusing

The neighbours are definitely stupid, the fact he was away at the market should be easy to confirm using telecoms signal.

If a man comes home to find his wife in such a state and he struggles to get a full grown human over 70kgs off a rope he may topple untop of the body.

Politics / Re: Niger State Demands 13% Derivation From Oil Revenue; Threatens To Shut Kanji Dam by sweetgala(m): 3:28am On Nov 08, 2023
Guyman01:
Niger State is more than Netherlands and Belgium combined in land size but cannot feed itself, (this is for those who always say that South East has a small landmass,) most of the milk used by Mai Shayi to make tea in Nigeria comes from cows in small Netherlands while Fulani herdsmen slaughters the population to use their farm crops to feed their Kwashiokod cows.

I expected the hardworking Governor of Niger State to ask Peter Obi how he planned to transform the state into a productive state during the campaigns with all those huge expanse of fertile lands wasting away but instead he is looking at more money from Niger Delta oil which NNPCL is already telling us is not available for Dangote refinery.

Meanwhile 70% of Nigeria power generation comes from Niger Delta gas while 27% is from hydro, so if he shuts down the dams the country won't be in total darkness and he lacks the capacity to do it because it will cause massive flooding if you don't release the water

I think what he is demanding is nothing less than what they deserve. It's an oil producing state so it now enjoys the expected 13% other oil producing states get.

How argument that they suffer from the reality of hosting a major hydropower dam is also realistic, the floods last year really hurt those areas and the looming issue of a dam break and water release is ever present for the farmers and residents of that state.

Hehehe! In so much that everything was wrong with this 2023 election, Datti's suggestion of Akpabio conducting another election is highly laughable and pitiable as both Akpabio, Tinubu and Kashim Shettima belong to the same operators of the structure of corruption and criminality.

Please do tell me what constitutional arrangements or electoral law Akpabio or anyone in the line of leadership would use to call for an impromptu general election ahead of the 2027 schedule without upsetting and first setting aside the constitution.

This man is effectively calling for a coup, this is treasonous dog whistle

It doesn't matter who's fault it was but the electoral laws make it very clear the requirements if one is injured by an action/inaction of INEC then one can seek redress, it's left for the supreme court to make a final judgement

For government to approve air peace as a national carrier it would need to buy a stake in the company at least 25%. I doubt Allen Onyema and his partners want that.

You are rather ignorant of the ownership structure of air peace because Allen Onyema is only a managing partner, his case in America exposed that, his other major financier is from NC

The GEJ angle is new to me, I only ever heard of the Kogi fellow who Deziani laundered money through

There’s one letter and one deposition under oath. As a judge, Principle of Orality’ in Litigation must be appreciated.

A deposition under oath is not a letter, infact it gives clearer view to anyone's sworn statement, which the Judge is trying to create technicality for.

If your written statement is yes and during cross examination your yes turns no, then you're not saying the truth.

When you remember this is Nigeria and not Netflix then you will understand this statement from a judge.

We know justice okoro's antecedents, he should go on to approve certificate forgery. Nigerians will remember him for that.

Have you read the deposition because if you have you wouldn't be saying this nonsense.

Most of you are smart by halves. Or should I say you are still an upstart?
Now let me school you a little, learn but you can continue your hatchet job of promoting and defending plutocrats.
Do you know that Tinubu was the national leader of the APC for 8yrs before he took over power himself. Obviously you don't know what it means for anyone other than the sitting president to be so designated in a ruling party. With so much influence, why did he wait for 8yrs for things to go so bad, knowing he had the magic wand to change the economy. Could he not advice the govt on policy to adopt? Or he did and was ignored? If he waited to take over before changing the country, then he is truly the crook the whole world says he is.

All you've done is repeat the obvious, Tinubu was the leader of APC, APC has failed , PDP has failed , leadership has failed ; for show long would you lot keep wailing and complaining.

WHAT HAEV YOU DONE TO BETTER THE LOT OF YOUR OWN IMMEDIATE COMMUNITY!

You can't even help yourself, you've continued to make a political statement about agriculture, the farmer on the field only cares about the economics of his input, managing his crop with respect to nature's will, and the current insecurity that plagues the farming belts they don't care which entity is in Abuja.

Keep banging your head on the wall because you're upset Tinubu is president let's see if that'll put food on the table

Typing long epistle doesn't mean you are intelligent. The points you raised in a bid to defend your slave-masrer shows how daft you truly are. I urge you to check and compare the inflation rate within the last three months of Buhari and the first 3 months of Tinubu.

Economics is a social science not propaganda

If you think the cost of food is simply because of inflation rate as your other deluded fools do then you'll be chasing a shadow. Best of luck !
