PoliticsRe: Gender Equality And The Misconceptions Of Nigerian Men by sweetilicious(op): 10:30am On Mar 21, 2016
23Tunde45:
I used to be a Male feminist before until I realized what is happening in the West. Feminism does not bring equality, it only makes women the most privileged in the society. Some white guys who once supported feminism are now always wailing on social Media, especially on feminist videos. I think men including me, have been too emotional to say the truth which is that a man is not equal to a woman just as an orange is not equal to an apple or x is not equal to y (mathematical). You can not add them together, you can only multiply or divide them.

Now, I'm not interested in emphasizing on who among the two is naturally superior but I expect that both men and women should accept their roles in the society. Women already have equal rights especially in developed countries. They have the right to vote and be voted for, the right to education, the right to pursue any legal occupation etc. But they ask for more. In the West, only women have organizations that cater specifically for women. Every where in the world, when a tragedy occurs, people only specifically asked about women and children victims. When a man and woman divorce, the woman always has a higher chance of getting child custody and receiving a particular percentage of the man's income. A woman is always seen as a likely victim of rape even when she falsely accuses a man.

Feminist want to keep all this special privileges that they have gained from victimizing themselves while asking for more rights. Men in the West are becoming effeminate which most straight females consider distasteful when it comes to dating, yet the society keep raising effeminate men. It's not a coincidence that in most ancient societies, a man was usually the head. Even in the animal kingdom, lions live in packs consisting of many females and children but only one adult male. We should not use our human intelligence to entirely destroy our natural human instinct. In this modern Millennium men and women should only be equal before the law in terms of human rights and basic human opportunities. Nigerian law recognizes this, it's just that it's not enforced and many Nigerians do not know their rights. Women in Southern Nigeria are free and should be grateful that they are not like their counterparts in the North.
Don't get me wrong. I just want laws to be made to avert all these customary inceptions against women. We cannot have it all but we need the law to be there. Someone i spoke to told me women are already protected, who would want to hurt them? I thought about it but another question that came to my mind was why laws were made? Life is precious, everyone wants to live, why would one kill someone else? But laws were made to punish those that does so;it acts as deterrent to those who would want to do so because of the punishment it attracts. For me, the gender equality bill should be looked into, accept those points listed that affects women. There are exceptions in law nah!. It should be debated. Life is an equal opportunity just as hope. #Protect women.

Yeah sugar intake should be minimize. It does more harm to the body than good. Health is wealth. Drink more water and eat fruits. Eat balanced diet. Although Nigerian economy doesn't favour students but we gonna try our best to eat well.

PoliticsRe: APC Desperation For Oil State; State Of Emergency To Be Declared In Rivers State by sweetilicious(f): 7:07pm On Mar 20, 2016
kettykin:
I don't really pray for the state of emergency for some reasons .

state of emergency would really backfire in a very big way, this looks like the government shooting it's self on both legs.

A declaration of state of emergency will mean an end to Africa’s soviet union, don't expect militants ,political interest groups ,armed groups to fold their hands and allow soldiers have a field day, first the little exchange of fireworks might degenerate to full scale combat leading to ambushes, casualties and further deployment of troops, those that have been watching from the sidelines in the old east and niger delta states would be emboldened to pick up arms and the ambush and killings will continue, remember that the oil industry is already comatose, the remaining infrastructure will just be destroyed by mad unexplained militancy.

Free flow of arms, oil bunkering and the groups like ipob which by the way seems confused in terms of strategy picking arms would definitely seriously widen the conflict until either 2 things happen. The intervention of world powers with a UN intervention force or a military intervention into government with its wide implications or a restoration of the elected governor and removal of emergency rule.

Anyone thinking
Knowing that the type of government at the centre is a defiant government, the only option seems the first 2 .

by the way, this is just an analysis and nothing more than that
This is true. I don't want war.
PoliticsGender Equality And The Misconceptions Of Nigerian Men by sweetilicious(op): 6:30pm On Mar 20, 2016
Women were not created equal to men. Sometimes i try to refute this argument. Maybe we weren't because a man's stamina cannot be compared to that of a woman. I have not been able to find out things that were included in the gender equality bills but as i listened to a senator say women should not be given the kind of hand they want, then i tend to ask, WHY?. I have this friend of mine whose father was late. His father left them with a lucrative business. His father's business was taken by his uncle who custom gave the power to do so.The uncle only pays their school fees and doesn't care to know if they had anything to eat nor wear. His mother has no say because of society. Some customs might demand that she should marry her late husband's brother for her to survive. My girlfriend got married to a guy, unknown to her after her traditional marriage, she was supposed to take an oath in the husband's compound of which she would have to swear that she wouldn't cheat on the husband. She declined because she was made to understand that its only meant for women excluding the men. In some parts of the country, if a woman's husband dies, she would have to drink the water used to clean the dead body of her late husband. If she suffers and dies from the dirty water she is then guilty of his death;if God helps her to survive, she is deemed innocent. WHY ? I see cases whereby a man gets married to a woman and after some years of living with her, he would cook up one story and ask the court to divorce them and send her out of their house so that he could bring in another woman he wants.Where do you expect her to go to? We need a law to protect women fully. Some say their religion does not accept women to own anything nor have a say. Religion nor custom should not maltreat humans. Before, custom condemns twins. They were abomination but not anymore because they have a right to life. In some other parts of the world where everything works, they make laws to protect women because they know their value. This laws were made to protect good women and not bad women. We know that their are bad women but their are still good women. Their is discrimination against women in politics, jobs, etc. In conclusion, the statement noted: ”The Gender Equality Bill is not a battle of
the sexes;it is not a bill that removes the submissiveness of women to their
husbands neither is it a bill that seeks to erode the responsibility of the
woman in her home. “It only seeks to give the woman more opportunity to
assist herself and the man in the home. It is a bill that benefits the man even
more than the woman.”

Look, small dick is not a problem. Atleast not for me. My boyfriend has a small dick but i don't care. Loved him purely for whom he was. But it was so unfortunate the relationship ended. You have to concentrate on your exams and come out with a good result. Get a job and take care of your loved ones. Pray also for God to give you a good woman and peace. Do not commit suicide pls. Its not your fault. Make an impact on someone's life. You will be happy to have lived.

Our senators are dumb. They won't understand what he is saying. They will throw it away just like they do to bills that doesn't favour their course. So, he just wants to make common sense to we the gullible Nigerians that are suffering.

Better. Because watching all those against the bill, it didn't even get to second reading. It was disregarded. A senator said muslims won't be happy with the bill. Is this a muslim country? They didn't even think of southerners who might accept the bill. Makes me to believe what the aboki that repaired my shoe who said that southerners are second class citizens in Nigeria. They shout change but don't want women to be defended. But they wish to have daughters they would protect with stolen money. This is why i support this country to be divided. We don't reason the same way with this people. Pls bring back the bill and pass it. Protect our women because they might be your daughters, sisters, aunts, friends. This is all i have to say. Kpom.

Op listen carefully. If you want to get back your lost love, accept the fact that you really hurt somebody who happened to be your partner. To me, you don't seem to be freely aware of how you messed up her trust. She is dying psychologically but you don't want to accept it. You think it is easy to build back trust? You are inconsiderate. Try as much as you can to fix that trust. Considering divorce on what level? Don't you know what you want? Do everything within your power to get her to forgive you totally. Leave that your nonsense ego and pride that you are the head of the family. Fix your marriage. If you do otherwise, you will regret it not now but in years to come after you must have married another woman to raise another family. As for me, you still feel a man has the right to cheat. She was a good woman. You can still bring her back to her vows. This is my advice. Don't listen to people telling you to chase her away that you are the man. It will really clear her doubts that you never wanted her. And she will move on perfectly well.

This is the best way for Igbos. No one should come here and tell Igbos to hold their governors responsible because North east revitalisation commission is not to be developed by their governors but Nigerian money. If Nigeria can't grant this, give them their freedom to source for their development.

RomanceRe: She's Stingy, Should I Dump Her? by sweetilicious(f):
Do not dump her op. What you should try to find out first is if she is like that always. It could be that the money isn't hers. She knows its absurd for her to ask for the 1k after you spent those amount on her. Even though she tells you it belongs to someone, you wouldn't believe her. But my sincere advice to you op is to check her out well. Does she spend on you. I had a boyfriend, he does everything for me, gives me money but not always, but anytime he is to spend his time with me, i make sure the kind of food he will eat, he will spend 20k for a plate outside. He will keep asking me where i get money to cook assorted yummy delicious food. I use to buy everything that will make him comfortable with his money. Not only food o, i do buy anything i felt he might like. If the relationship is lopsided, then discontinue my dear. I think she is becoming selfish. Just check her out and find out. It won't be long cos some ladies have this notion that cos they are girls, they should always be spent on. Balderdash!

I don't blame her at all. She has been there. She knows its not always easy to build something you want. Relationships with the wrong people can change your bubbly life. Even the way you see life at times. Let her take her time and find someone worthy even if she does at the age of 40

Okay...

So the Nigerian Army killed 1,000 ppl and buried all of dem at once at a particular place, right?

Good!

So nobody saw when the army was lifting or carrying the over 1,000 dead bodies abi?

How did they transport the 1,000+ dead bodies to the burial ground?

To bury 1,000+ ppl at once, you would need a work force of at least 100 to 200 labourers to dig the graves, transport the corpses to site and bury them.

Did day hire labourers or na only army ppl bury dem?

How come nobody saw all of dis?

It was done at night at about 2am when everybody was asleep.

Okay so they left the dead bodies on road till about 2am, and den came back by 2am to pick dem all up for mass speedy burial? Or after the massacre they picked all the 1,000+ dead bodies and saved dem somewia first before going to bury dem at night, abi?

Ehmmm.... I day come...:/
They could have used Caterpillar to dig it up. 20 soldiers are capable. What if they were all packed like sardines? undecided
