Mercedes-Benz rolled into CES with its “F 015 Luxury in Motion” concept, a bold, completely bonkers vision of a future in which we become entirely optional behind the wheel.
The car peers way down the road at an autonomous future in which, it seems, cars look like bars of soap on the outside and sleek, vaguely European conference rooms inside. But let’s make two things clear right away. First, this concept car is so far from production as to be little more than a flight of fancy. Given the current state of autonomous tech, we’d guess its probably 20 years from reality. Robo-cars are coming, but there are piles of problems to solve, from the technical—actually building cars that drive themselves—to sorting out the myriad safety and regulatory questions. There’s also the not insignificant challenge of getting consumers to relinquish control of the wheel. Each of these things will take years to accomplish, in no small part because the feds and the auto industry aren’t known for moving quickly.
Second, this car is ugly, which is a surprise, given the generally excellent design Mercedes is known for. It’s hard to believe this sliver of soap came from the same company that gave us the 300 SL Gullwing or even the SL 500.
Still, the car is remarkable because it shows Mercedes is thinking ahead and peering far into the future to a time when autonomous cars will fundamentally change how we design our vehicles. Once computers are inarguably better drivers than we are and regulations reflect that, longstanding norms like forward-facing seats, mirrors, and pedals are no longer necessary. It will be a seismic shift, and automakers will be free to pursue exciting, even revolutionary, ideas. Google embraced this with the forward-thinking (though somewhat goofy) autonomous prototypewe saw in May, and tuning house Rinspeed explored it last month with its Budii robotic EV concept.
Mercedes understands that, and runs with it. The interior of the F 015, with front seats that rotate to face the rear, creates a communal space. It’s something very new, but also very old, in that it recalls the days of horse-drawn carriages, a point Daimler boss Dr. Dieter Zetsche noted in his presentation Monday night. The vehicle is controlled through hand gestures, eye-tracking, and touchscreens. Everything has LEDs. When the car senses a pedestrian ahead, it can project a crosswalk onto the ground. “The car is growing beyond its role as a mere means of transport and will ultimately become a mobile living space,” Zetsche says.
So yes, it will be many years before Mercedes makes a car that looks anything like the F 015. But the German automaker is well on its way toward that day, developing a highway pilot system for its trucksand plans for some level of autonomous tech in its sedans by 2020. Those are the kinds of projects that will advance this technology, and let us daydream about spending our retirement being whisked around in a sleek sedan with spinning seats and hardwood floors.

The truth is; being that size poses a lot of obstacles to a footballer's ability. Unlike the American football & Rugby, soccer is not a brute sport where you can literally muscle you way around, it requires complex reasoning, agility & flexibility which becomes a tall order when you're that size.

Say whatever you want, except he's on some performance enhancing drugs, effectively hauling a 102kg mass around the pitch for 90 mins is near-impossible, he will gas out before other leaner players.

Muscle requires huge amounts of energy to fuel them, the bigger you are the more energy you're going to need and the more likely you are to run out of energy.

This guy may be a good attacker, but I can't truely assess him as he isn't playing top flight football where the competition is much stronger. January is named after Janus, the
Roman god of doors and

In 46BC Julius Caesar chose
January 1 as the first day of the
New Year as Janus symbolically
represented the door to the New
Year . Wild parties and orgies

New Year ’s Day as a re-enactment

whose organization was set by the
gods. Furthermore, by that time,

celebrations of the New Year on
January 1 and New Year’s Eve,
the night before, are a part and
parcel of pagan religious rituals

forbidden) for Muslims to
participate in or adopt any of its
related rituals, customs and
symbols.
If a non-Muslim greets a
Muslim, “Happy New Year”,

Instead, in order not to offend
or hurt the feelings of non-
Muslim friends or
acquaintances, one may say
instead, “Happy holiday.”
As for celebrating the New Year
according to the Islamic calendar
which begins with the month of
Muharram, this is also not
permissible from a number of
perspectives. First and foremost,
if one does so believing that it is
pleasing to Allah to do so, thereby
transforming it into an act of
worship, it becomes a Bid‘ah or
cursed innovation in the religion
about which the Prophet (pbuh)
said, “Every innovation in
religion is misguidance and all
misguidance leads to the Hellfire.”
If one does so merely as a custom,
it is still impermissible as it falls
under the prohibition of imitation
of pagan customs about which the
Prophet (pbuh) said, “Whoever
imitates a people becomes one of
them.”

modern calendar, the Gregorian
calendar, also officially fixed the
first day of the year for Christian
Europe as January 1 in 1582.

We Christians dont see big deal in these so called paganism you ascribed to Christianity. We believe the living God is the owner of everyday and as such we call on His Holy name instead of the rituals embedded in paganism. We dont even care whether its January etc...God has made everyday holy by His grace so far we call on His name instead.
