There is nothing misleading in truth. To attract attention may be correct, even truth attracts attention.

aku626: contrary to what your posting says the passage you quoted does not truly go along. Every sinner would go to 'HELL FIRE'
Who is a sinner? That's the question. One who commits sin? I doubt, some will have commited sin in life and will still be saved as indicated below.

1 cor 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is
3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.[/quote]

FXKing2012: All Unrighteousness is sin but not every sin leads to hell:

1 John 5:16-18
King James Version (KJV)
16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

Question is how do u know what sin leads to hell? That is where this scripture comes in:

1 Thes. 5:22
"Abstain from all appearance of evil."
For all those castigating the Op for quoting scriptures, I wonder if you didn't read the line in bold.
Christianity EtcRe: Not Every Sin Leads To Hell by Syncan(m): 2:29pm On Feb 22, 2013
Mintayo: You don't read the Bible and interprete it with reasoning;i believe the purpose of this post is to cause confusion but our God is not a God of confusion!

Death here refer to SPIRITUAL DEATH!
I beg to dis agree with you, the Op made no interpretation on the post, he simply quoted scriptures, more so his last quote in that piece makes his view very clear, I really see no problem with the post.

FamilyRe: Being A Nigerian Housewife by Syncan(m): 9:14am On Jan 29, 2013
dayokanu: The bold are Gospel truth. Being a housewife is pure laziness. What would one be doing at home from 7am till 4pm washing plates for how many people? Is it a restaurant? Sweeping for 8 hours? or what

Its pure laziness for anyone to do that.

And those kind of women would now claim they should have equal stake in the marriage when they were no better than the furniture just sitting down doing nothing
Frankly speaking, I'll beg to differ in this your generalization. In the context of a Nigerian Housewife, quite a lot of them are not lazy, apart from the obvious daily laundry (which by the way is manual...courtesy of NEPA), school runs and its accompanying children after school care also come in here. You also have to put into consideration the age of the kids. Most Nigerian ladies are housewives only in the early age of their marriage.
For those who worry about income,Its all about discussions,I do not subscribe to being a housewife without your consent, so if the man is buoyant enough to agree on your staying at home as a job, he should be able to agree on an allowance. Some women work hard enough and still do not have much to save as they contribute almost all for the upkeep of their homes.
Moreso, I've seen a few women who fought at the time to keep their career against the desire of their men, they won, kept the career, and now would have wished they did not. Some made the money but lost their kids to social vices, some to abuse by house helps (very common),it is a fact that such would have been avoided or detected early enough with the woman more at home.
The challenges for a working Nigerian wife/mother is much and should not be trivialized at all by calling those who do not wish to try it lazy. The man calling her lazy actually expects her to work outside, do the domestic works, take care of her physique, and still learn to balance income with expenditure with regards to home needs. That's quite a lot, as most jobs do not consider the woman's domestic responsibility in the scheme of things. It will be better if the woman could balance the two really, but I will not call every Nigerian housewife lazy.
Christianity EtcRe: Will Having Tattoos Send Me To Hell? by Syncan(m): 2:25pm On Jan 27, 2013
We may continue to argue if it is a vice or not but no one has said it is a virtue either, it is only in matters of spirituality and morals that we go for the "base edition" trying to play on the border line of is it a sin or not. When do we go to the "Limited edition" of is it virtuous or not.Having said this, It baffles me how Christians pass judgement on their own these days, while we still preach that "even if your sin are as scarlet, they shall be white as snow...". I Hope we really believe this. The question is will this permanent tattoo on his body take him to hell? You can also ask " Will someone who has killed go to hell? The answer to the above questions cannot be a Yes or NO without a condition attached. The condition will be on: if the person dies in such a state without availing his/her self of the redemptive merit of Christ's death through repentance and asking for pardon from God. Yes, if he does and No, if he does not.

Vikin: Even with the change of school, if they want to locate her they will still do that except she will be out of the country for a whole lot of time.

Some time in the university, two cultist renounced their membership in an all night service, the first one still went ahead with trendy stuff and girls too, the second one totally turned to the bible. Could you believe their cult members came for the first one, he got killed In school while the second one was always seen around fellowship and organizing church services.

He however graduated and doing well in life.

Hope you're aware that your handle has some familiarity with the issue at hand...I suppose that makes you an expert in it...just joking o!
In as much as i agree that visible change/repentance and active romance with religion could help, I still assure you that it is a gamble to remain in that school. Change of school could go with what you've suggested and that keeps her safer. No they will not come for her, if there is no personal vendetta yet.

It's not a question of affordability,it's an oil and gas facility with just accommodation for the workers, these are normally rooms occupied by two people on opposing shift duty.

greatgod2012: I, personally respect agreement so much, since you said you have already agreed on "no long distance marriage " between you, why dont you keep to your agreement, or betterstill, move together to Oman with your family, if its possible.

If you talk to her and she refused vehemently......why dont you diversify d money you are earning currently and make more money thru it. I always believe a bible passage that says "all things work together for good for those who love God.."...........part of loving God is to respect agreement. Who knows, your wife's refusal might be a blessing in disguise.
Respect your agreement and you shall be rewarded.
Its better to stay now and continue to enjoy your family than getting more money and not enjoying your marriage, because it may lead to your wife changing if you didnt respect your agreement, so that you dont come back to NL here and be complaining of how your wife changed thereafter.
May God help us all.
Amen oooooo!

You could have other income streams that would give you more thAn the Oman job only if you focus a good investment plan.

On the flip side, (God forbid) what if you board a flight to Oman and the plane gets hijacked or crashes?
That's the more reason why you should be content and Make her happy.

I'll like to get your views on this fellow NLs " I'm a young man, three years in marriage, with one child...well one is on the way. I could be said to be happy in marriage since I am very comfortable with my wife. However, something is bothering me at the present. The issue is that I work in the Oil and Gas industry and recently got a job to work in Oman. This job has a rotation of 3 months/3weeks,it means that I'll be in Oman for three months and have an off period of three weeks including travel days. The problem is that my wife has refused every entreaty to allow me go for this job, her reason is that; she cannot stay without me for that long. To be fair to her,she made it clear before marriage that she neither loved long distance relationships nor marriage;and I had no problem with that at the time since we lived close enough during our dating time and i wasn't working far from home. I've tried to convince her that we need this job for the sake of the future of the family but she wouldn't budge. She said we're doing fine now and that she's contented as it is, moreso that there is room for growth in the company. Well I'm presently earning a wage of 3.6M in naira that's about $23,000 per annum after tax but this new job will give me $51,000,that is more than double the present. My company is an Indigenous private company with little or no job security, though i still have a few positions above me with prospects of promotions but I'm constantly tormented with the fact that there is no job security unlike the civil service. My wife is normally a very rational person and dialogue well with me on issues, but she is really opposed to this one and it makes me...not so happy. The job offer is open for the next 13 days and i strongly need your opinion on this issue - should i go or not". Thank you for your contributions.
