The state recognized Chief Imam of Ilorin is one Muhammad Bashir Soliu. You asked for JUST "one cleric that has said something to oppose these guys? TripleOh7: You don't seem to understand the effect a rabble-rouser can have on his minions.
Kanu is quite vocal and his followers worship him. That's very dangerous.
Someone who has the ears of a sizable number who would do anything he says is no longer someone you cut any slack when for instance, he announced on his radio station that his followers should get prepared and begin to attack and kill any Hausa and Yoruba they see.
I have also seen videos of him in the US soliciting for funds specifically for the purchase of arms and ammunition in a bid to, according to his words, "burn down the zoo".
So now, the southeast part of the "zoo" is burning down, who should we blame?
The hate speeches he's made are so toxic that, if the Yorubas are naturally predisposed to violence they would have unleashed terror on the Igbos living in their midst and that would have been a terrible genocide indeed.
To know how effective his speeches are, you hear his minions on Nairaland, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram mouthing the same hate-filled rhetorics with relish, complete with rude name-calling.
His words are his own undoing. Of couse, am aware of the dangers inherent in MNK's rhetorics but remember our yoruba people say " emi pelu araile mi, an kin ja............nitiro pe ati mo iwa ara wa ni.
These people are lousy and talk before engaging their brains. This was the same way Ojukwu bragged that he has the strongest army in black africa when in actual fact, ALL he had were some few world war 1 dane guns and remnants of the crimson war. This culminated in the loss of millions of innocent lives on both divides before he eventually stole away in the middle of the night with his bloody tails between his jam-tuber legs.
when i asked to cut MNK some slack, what I actually meant was that, pay not much heed to what he says.................his lousy talks is now bearing fruits on his people i.e obigbo, orlu etc whilst he's in jail awaiting trail for his daft utterances. Meanwhile those that have really turned the country into a mini-somalia are walking tall and healthy.
who then is the greater losser? |
Politics › Re: All These Threads Advising Igbos To Stop "Destroying" Their Region Are Sickening by T9ksy(m): 7:53pm On Oct 15, 2021 |
TripleOh7: I'm nowhere near eastern Nigeria so I only know what has been reported in the news.
And since I rely a lot on my powers of deduction, I can always put two and two together.
1. Nnamdi Kanu encouraged violence and they worship him.
2. Nnamdi Kanu applauded this group when they began killing policemen and burning down police stations.
3. The killing of uninformed officers by these people started long before Nnamdi Kanu was apprehended.
4. IPOB has never come out to denounce and condemn the killings going on. The most they've done is to say they had no hand in some of the killings. But who would believe them?
We have a saying in Yorubaland. "The witch flew over the house at midnight, a child sleeping in that house dies in the morning, who doesn't know that it was the witch that killed the child?". My brother, am nowhere near the east or the blasted country however, thanks to SM, am kept abreast of what's actually going on in Nigeria inspite of FGN -Fulani govt. Of Nigeria's futile attempt to muzzle the press and thereafter spoonfeed us their own pedestrianic narratives.
1. Abeg, cut Nnamdi Kanu some slack o jare. The guy is too garrulous for his own good with no ounce of diplomacy in his being. Not everything Kanu says should be taken on its face value. Remember the endsars protest last year when kanu was praising his mumu followers for destroying properties in lagos , even when we 've all seen videos of Lagos state govt's van been used to transport Tinubu's urchins to ikeja to disrupt the ongoing protest. The govt later came to tag these urchins as "pro-sars" protesters.
2. Like I said above, kanu is too reckless with his mouth. For instance, take the Federal prison-break, in owerri. This attack started at 12:30am till 5:30am, a total of 5hrs, none of the Prison guards was shot at or killed but the gunmen purportedly released all the prisoners. However, there's a police post that's just about 5mins walk from the federal prison. The govt office where "Hopeless" Uzodima lives with all his security details is about the same distance from the crime scene, as the police post. Moreover, the military base in Imo state is just about 20mins drive from outside owerri to the aforementioned federal prison Yet these gunmen were able to operate unhindered whilst governor was snoring his head off, 5mins walk away.
A few hours later, the IGP in Abuja told us that the prison in owerri was attacked by Ipob! There's no UGM rather these are govt. sponsored thugs at play. Talk about giving a dog a bad name just to justify, killing him.
See what the fgn did in orlu where Nigeria soldiers went into town, killing anyone they see and tagging them Ipob members. |
