Kanu is quite vocal and his followers worship him. That's very dangerous.


Someone who has the ears of a sizable number who would do anything he says is no longer someone you cut any slack when for instance, he announced on his radio station that his followers should get prepared and begin to attack and kill any Hausa and Yoruba they see.


I have also seen videos of him in the US soliciting for funds specifically for the purchase of arms and ammunition in a bid to, according to his words, "burn down the zoo".


So now, the southeast part of the "zoo" is burning down, who should we blame?


The hate speeches he's made are so toxic that, if the Yorubas are naturally predisposed to violence they would have unleashed terror on the Igbos living in their midst and that would have been a terrible genocide indeed.


To know how effective his speeches are, you hear his minions on Nairaland, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram mouthing the same hate-filled rhetorics with relish, complete with rude name-calling.


His words are his own undoing.

And since I rely a lot on my powers of deduction, I can always put two and two together.

1. Nnamdi Kanu encouraged violence and they worship him.

2. Nnamdi Kanu applauded this group when they began killing policemen and burning down police stations.

3. The killing of uninformed officers by these people started long before Nnamdi Kanu was apprehended.

4. IPOB has never come out to denounce and condemn the killings going on. The most they've done is to say they had no hand in some of the killings. But who would believe them?

We have a saying in Yorubaland. "The witch flew over the house at midnight, a child sleeping in that house dies in the morning, who doesn't know that it was the witch that killed the child?".

He does not seem to be aware that seun has created Nairaland where we congregate - to argue and insult each other and bet9ja and bigbrother now, but who in the future would organise and evolve into the powerful force that will shape Nigeria into the great nation and people we are destined to become.
