He and his Aso rock cabal are also eating blood food.
Who fault is it if a country cannot protect her territorial mineral resources from bunkers and illegal minners(tani o ma ri ese were ti ko ni bu?). Talking as if Nigeria won't also hop at the opportunity if it comes her way.
Instead of blaming them, why can't he find a logical way to curb the bunkery. Nonsense.
My frnd Shut it, will you. There is a Demand side and a Supply side to every issue, and one wud hv to tackle an issue from both sides if there is any hope the issue can be effectively tackled substainably... The President is already dealing with d Supply side here at home by using d Navy and JTF to curb activities of vandals, and results from virtuali all sources indicate clearly dat Oil theft is significantly decreasing as Oil Production increases. Hundreds of illegal 'Oil Refineries', barges and tanks hv bn destroyd, and sm of the thieves arrestd. Howeva, d the theft wud continue and wud neva be completely eliminatd as long as d Demand side (Foreign Refineries that buy these Stolen Oil) is also tackled along with whateva is going on at home. That is how a Problem is solvd any where in d world, and dat is what GEJ is advocating: a two-plunge approach. Get Sense abeg...

seanet01: Another reason why you are nothing but a senseless and a myopic simpleton.
Did Buhari need to Build new refineries before he improved the Refined Crude Oil capacity of Nigeria?
Fact was when he took over as Head of State, he met refineries in a complete state of Comatose riddled by many years of stark corruption by previous governments.
But being a man after the welfare of Nigerians, he found a way to put the Oil refineries in total shape and thereafter they were producing at 100%, i repeat 100% capacity utilization thereby allowing Nigeria to have enough refined Petroleum products for Local consumption and EXPORT.
I know your brain is too shallow to process this.
But you can afford to keep shut if you have nothing to say than this crap.
Two Refineries, Warri and Kaduna (part), were planned and constructd bw 1976 and 1982 unda OBJ and Shagari; they were NEW plants. They were not comatose nor where the stiffled by corruption.... seanet01: You see why i normally referred to you as a VILLAGE MONKEY?
Where in this thread have you seen somebody mentioned GEJ?
There is no reason for that, once we fingered PDP as the irresponsible government it is, every member of that shameless Party comes into fold.
In Sixteen solid years of PDP led Federal governance, Nigeria have not been able to add just 3000MW to the national grid despite spending billions of dollars on The sector.
Iran within 20 years added 35000MW to its national grid despite being under MASSIVE SANCTIONS.
That is our point not GEJ. GEJ is PDP.
So carry your immature and senseless crap to your village.
You are Really CRAZZY, I swear. GEJ, who is driving the above moves that wud completely SOLVE our Power problems, is still in PDP the last time I cheeked; now why wud you expect me or any sane person for that matter, to throw HIM away even if I thoroughly dislike d PDP?? Politics › Re: Iran Generating 76,800 MW And Exporting Power Despite Being Under Sanctions!!! by taharqa: 9:45pm On Feb 14, 2013
Another STU.PID thread. I dont care any one telling me how bad things was in Nigeria in terms of Power, I already knew that; I care about what THIS admin is doing to fixing the problem. I care that GEJ inherited an unstable Public Power system that only wheeled about 2000MW, but has stabilised it to about 4500MW (that's over 100% increase in more than 2yrs)- and dat is not considering that Nigeria actuali hv d Capacity to produce about 6700MW today but for Transmission and Distribution concerns. I care that additional 2700MW capacity wud be added to the Grid this year once the remaining 10 NIPP new Power plants are completed (and they wud be completed this year). I care that the over 3000MW Mambilla and Jebba Dam Hydropower, which oda Govts hv been promising for decades without even doing a proper Feasibility Study, are NOW bn CONSTRUCTED by Chinese Loans. I care that hundreds of Transmission/Distribution Lines and substations are been done simultaneously through out the country, just as Gas lines are bn repaired and laid/expanded. I care that the country is currently seeing through what d Harvard Business Study have called 'the single largest Power Privatisation and Reform' in Africa (if not the world); and I KNOW that it wud most certainly change the face of the Power sector in Nigeria once the process concludes in less than 3 months, just as the face of Telecoms was changed foreva in Nigeria afta the Liberalisation/Privatisation Process, which made the nation to not only be consistently amongst the fastest growing Telecoms market in d world but also took the No of Active Lines from about 400, 000 to over 119,000,000 today significantly outpacing those nations that were way ahead of us pre-2005. And I can only imagine what this same Power sector wud be in sm years, I can only imagine: d expansion of each of the 15 Gas/Thermal Power plants to at least 1000MW each by their new Private owners to meet their design requirements as well as the Hydroplants; the many completely new plants that wud come into the systems years from now, from various Investors (local and foreign) as well as various State Govts. I can only imagine d vast possibilities in this country if we continued in this direction and at this pace, and I will do my very little best to ensure we continued on this SURE Path and that nothing (repeat, NOTHING) derails it. This is Really what I CARE about.

Maduale: How else do you draw comparisons? What other standards do you want him to set? British standards? Magical standards?
Here is a president that is pursuing the best agricultural transformation policy in our history. He is also setting a standard in the oil/gas industry with PIB.
He is reviving the railways and Privatising ailing PHCN. Isn't that standard enough?

The way you guys talk atimes is funny. This system has been bad for a long time and you expect Jonathan to wield a magic wand and turn everything overnight?
Things like fixing power are not oral activity. Jonathan is doing well so far by completing all those NIPP projects abandoned by Obj. Many of them are now working but the impact will not be felt immediately until the privatisation process of PHCN is finished.
Anoda Wise comment... Just like Keshi and d Super Eagles, we wud see a TOTAL change in Perception and COMPLETE SHAME to d sworn Critics, when many of these Projects and Policies completes. That's why am no longa that botherd again...

PapaBrowne: How long did it take from conception for your mother to deliver you? Nine months no? If she did it in less than 9 months that would have been a failure because you would have come out premature. You want fully executed major projects in less than 2 years of an administration? Are you an advocate for premature delivery??
Major projects are for the first time in Nigeria been completed at record speeds and you are here talking failure. All previous governments ignored our airports. All previous governments ignored our railways. All previous governments ignored our road networks. Infrastructure is coming back up
.
Anytime I drive the Benin Ore road these days and remember the days I was stuck in the bush for hours until late in the night, the missed flights that the bad road caused, the gruesome accidents I saw on that road, I appreciate Jonathan's government even more.
Fashola has been working on the 50km Lekki-Epe road for eight years and they are yet to complete it despite the huge income the accrues from tolls.

The airports have improved for the first the first time in our history. The railways are working even if not the best yet. They are commissioning new power plants. Agriculture is finally been transformed and the impact is obvious. OBJ had 8 years to do all this and he squandered it. He worked well on economic reform but he failed woefully in infrastructure development. I am glad anytime I see the areas that are improving. To think that all these are happening with huge security challenges.

More importantly, we havent had a bomb from Boko Haram since November 2012. Thats 3 months since the last bombing.

Nigeria is on a path of progress and Jonathan's administration is doing greatly. Although his scorecard on fighting corruption is very poor. Emphasis on fighting. But he has chosen to attack it through the back door. Not a good approach. He put the tools in our hands via the FOI but we have refused to use it. Also he doesn't come out strong on rule of law.

One thing Jonathan must learn to do is to inspire the nation. Working is not all it takes. Inspiration gets the citizens to participate effectively in the governing and developmental process. He hasn't inspired us well enough but he is working and performing assiduously!!
Very fair comment, and a Wise one too... You also startd very well @emboldened
