Saintp: @ Tarqha and sincerenigerian,You are terribly, terribly terribly WRONG; just cud not overlook dis... I SUPPORT GEJ cos I bliv in his programmes, and frankly also cos of d UNREASONABLE virulent criticism (really, Hostility) of a few of his critics basd entirely on hatred and/or political/ethnic sentiments. I realise though that MOST of d peeps who criticize the govt and GEJ do so cos they really want d best for themselves and Nigeria esp afta bn lied to for a very long time and cos sm of dem rili bliv for good reasons that if they begin to praise GEJ's govt now, he may not perform again- I honestly undastad that and in fact support it. I love d way MOST of us, esp d Youths, are now more ENGAGE- which is what I personali always wantd. However, there are dis tiny set of people whose aim for virulent, completely unhelpful criticism is fuelld primarily by d quest to acquire POWER and a strong sense of HATE towards d PERSON of d President and they wud stop at nothing to get at him including employing PROPAGANDA; if you followd me here on NL, those are d persons I 'detest' and tackle wit little patience and I mk no Apologies about that. I criticize d govt at times, though not as much as I wud like to Or as I hv always done to previous govt, cos of these twigs; I howeva completely support constructive criticisms and d esp new ENGAGEMENT by very many youths these days asking questns, as long as they are done FAIRLY and the ONLY PURPOSE IS THE FURTHER PROGRESS OF THE NATION and not sm narrow selfish interest.. |
Kamanda: I thought you lived in Enugu....Oh I forget that is your other I.D.called insinseregoat. When you quit behaving like a dementd twig, let me know,k? |
^^^ Does stupidity comes to you naturally? This is what he said Thinking CNN is a place where heavy ediots congregate to appease their monumental failure with wild dream and high stories. Yeah, she was in the street of LAGOS and guess what? Next time, don't lie to CNN and expect to go free. By the way, am still running my generator. Fool.
Exactly. That's what a CHRONIC LIAR does when: when caught at a Lie, try anoda one. You said previously dat He said to CNN that there was 24/7 uninterruptd power in Lagos, so I gave u d FULL uncut transcript of d interview so you cud point it out. You left that and postd part of what he said (and true to d ACN propagandist you are, didnt post d remaining part of his full statement), thereby DELIBERATELY distorting what he said to serve yr agenda. I askd previously if sm of u do not hv even d slightest SHAME when lying or spreading propagand??.... And you guys shld stop this lie that you guys 'appreciated' Barth Nnaji when he was power minister. When many persons were commending him here, a few of you were casting him and calling him a LIAR and even a Thief; he only became an emergency 'HERO' to u guys when he was sackd (or was it, resignd) cos then it provided an opportunity to do what u Scums always wantd doing: Bash GEJ. While he was there and performing, he was insultd by a few of u cos doing otherwise wud hv rubbed off positively on GEJ which of course is impossible; when he left and many real Nigerians were complaining for good reasons, Nnaji suddenly became a 'HERO' and d 'best power minister eva' cos it can be usd to bash GEJ. Its same reasons why u guys' No 1 enemy, OBJ, suddenly became a 'HERO' and a 'STRONG Leader'- Nigeria's best in a long while- cos he critizd GEJ a few times. If d DEVIL himself pens an article straight from helll, sm of u guys wud immediately open a thread with d article and with d help of sm MODS push it to d FP, as long as d Devil has smthing evil to say about GEJ. Suddenly, d Devil too becomes a 'HERO'!!!.... *smh* |
take dat: @Negro,'Intervening with billions of dollars'?? Dats hw d rumour starts b4 propagandists get a hold of it....@topic, France's securing of d Uranium mines isn't rili economic, its SECURITY. You do not want terroists and oda rogue state/nonstate actors to get access to URANIUM, bliv me you rili do not. For those of you who do not know, Uranium is usd to build Atomic bombs. Nuff said. |
Abeg help me ask Jonathan that boasted and blatantly said Christie should go to the street of LAGOS and enquire about how they are enjoying lights 24/7. Why did he made reference to street of LAGOS in the first place? Abi, the sapele water way im drink no allow am see front? Next time, tell Jonathan to put his mouth where his lies can reach.
You are a IJIOT and a LIAR!! Where did GEJ ever say that Lagosians now enjoy 24 hrs power. Don't you pips have even the slightest SHAME when spurning your PROPAGANDA?? You lots DISGUST me. Lawd!!! This is the TRANSCRIPT of that interview: I would have loved that you asked an ordinary Nigerian on the streets of Lagos, Abuja or any other city the situation about power.. Just immediately after this, he added: GEJ: We have not got to where we should be and of course you know the power infrastructure is one investment that you must complete the chain before the, th.., the bulb can light. You must generate, you must transmit, you must distribute. And even if you have the money and the political will to do so, you cannot do it over night. And we are working very hard, and I promise you that before the end of this year power will be really, reason…, reasonably stable in Nigeria. This is something that has been a problem for years, for years. So you cannot correct it overnight. It takes time even if you have the money. These were his EXACT WORDS- point out exactly where he was wrong Or said a lie?? IJIOT.. |
From the days of Obasanjo till nigh! Investors have always poured money into Nigeria for One thing : They know the government is weak, the law cannot be enforced, so they come in with $1m but leave with $150million.. at the expense of the citizens who are getting poorer. Go check your facts and see how much has been poured into Lekki Free trade zone...then you would have to ask yourself.... where has all the money gone? EXPLOITATION is the word..
Cud you plz do every sane person a favour wheneva you do not hv a clue what to say: SHUT tha helll up. Its not compulsory to mk comments, you know... Thnks |
tchaik: have you had Power for straight 24 Hrs #uninteruptted?I reside in d Ugbowo and Upper Mission areas; and power has very very significantly improvd in those areas and MOST parts of Benin, except for d FEW things when there are national systems issues like I said. THIS IS FACT. They interruptd light about 20mins ago and just restord it now- this is not unusual to us here where I stay for almost a yr.... NO body talkd about 24hrs CONSTANT supply, dat is not even possible for MANY parts of Nigeria even b4 2015; am talking of significant improvements and real work done. GEJ inheritd a DEAD power sector for Goodness' sake, and only a complete IJIOT wud expect him (or anybody for that matter) to clear d decays of decades in 2yrs. WHAT THA FUVK IS WRONG WITH US |
Just watched the programme Now and am DISGUSTED at the extremely 'bad Journalism' that she put together in that short clip. She gathered just 3 persons in Lagos and asked them to say something about their power supply, and all of them said that power had not increased and that they had not had light for 3 weeks!!! Those are the views of an average Nigerian, right? *smh*. I stay in Benin and Power has improved on my end for many many months now except for some few times when there are National issues, like last Friday till Wednesday this week when we had a terrible supply probably cos of the new Benin-Onitsha Transmission Line repairs. THIS IS FACT. Amanpour just behaved as badly as that other CNN presenter (the Kenya Guy- I have forgotten his name) who presented an extremely wrong programme on the Niger Delta crisis some years ago, and just like this programme also gathered FAKE persons to conduct his interviews. Nigeria protested, He was SACKED and that ended his International career. She ought to know better. |
Hahahaha.... |
I cant just fanthom d reason why d MODS didnt consider this thread for FP; I just cant undastad it!! Eko Ile: 5 billion, 150 million, what difference does it make? Is budgeting money for prostitutes the the new embezzlement scheme?Cud you at times hv d decency and d courage to go out of character, and actuali read an article/source/comment b4 commenting... |
Just read now that the FCT is actually intending to spend #150m to rehabiblitate the DESTITUTES, beggars, Prosti.tutes etc in the budget, NOT #5billion that wa earlier reported: The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has stated that the amount budgeted for LovePeddlers and rehabilitation of destitutes in the FCT 2013 budget is N150million and not N5 billion as reported in the media.http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/fct-n150m-budgeted-for-LovePeddlers-destitutes-rehab-not-n5bn/138277/ |
Eko Ile: In what way is the federal government involved in LFT and while you are it, please let us know precisely the federal government's involvement in the 10 lane badagry express.ALL Free Trade Zones in this country is unda the direct perview of the FG, and none wud even think of starting talkless of growing witout the mighty hands of the FG. I didnt specify any projects in the Badagry axis, so dont know who said any thing about any Road. The FACT is that many of the BIG projects in Lagos today is been undertaken with the help of LOANS, that's one of the reasons Lagos State is by far the most indented state in Nigeria; a Chuck of these Loans are from external lenders and the FG Guarantees the loans. I am just following the 'logic' of the other goon who said that the LSG is responsible for a totally private project cos they guaranteed the loans that the private investors look from local banks- if we accept this 'logic' pof his, surely many of the projects in Lagos must also be attributed to the FG that Guarantees its loans (at least partially), No? Read this: Lekki Free Trade Zone has attracted $1.1 billion (N170.5 billion) investment commitment from 48 investors, Minister of Trade and Investment, Olusegun Aganga, has disclosed.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/lekki-free-trade-zone-attracts-n170bn-investment/ NOTE: You guys where the peeps who politicized this in the 1st place; I only at 1st commended the lead of the LSG in driving the Eko Atlantic Project as well as some other BIG projects, before you guys 'asked for it'. I am very contempt to just be happy that this is happening in Nigeria regardless of who does it.. |
Cant say about the figures given, but its important that this 'clarification' from the FCT be also put out there. By the way, its important that the money was never intended for rehabilitation of only prosti.tutes but for other DESTITUTES and vulnerable persons like homeless, street urchins, beggars etc. |
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Mohammed, has stated that the amount budgeted for prostitutes and rehabilitation of destitutes in the FCT 2013 budget is N150million and not N5 billion as reported in the media. He therefore called on all residents of FCT and indeed, entire Nigerians to totally disregard the reports about the 2013 budget of FCT, especially as they pertain to destitute and prostitutes rehabilitation, saying they are outright misrepresentation of the facts and figures of the budget. A statement signed by the Special Assistant (Media) to the FCT Minister, Mr. Nosike Ogbuenyi, made available to THISDAY yesterday said: “Following various misleading media reports arising from last Thursday’s Senate debate of the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s 2013 budgetary proposals purporting that the sum of N5billion was proposed for rehabilitation of prostitutes and destitute in Abuja, we are compelled to set the records straight as they concern the appropriation.” According to the statement rehabilitation of destitutes and commercial sex workers (prostitutes) is part of the schedule of the Social Development Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA). “However, the empirical truth is that the entire budget of the Social Development Secretariat for the 2013 fiscal year is N4.7billion only. Out of this amount, the sum of N931.3 million is for personnel cost; N1.6billion for overhead expenditure and N2.2billion for capital expenditure. The sum of N150million only out of this amount is for evacuation and rehabilitation of destitute, prostitutes (commercial sex workers) and other vulnerable persons.” The statement stated further that the duties of the social development secretariat are quite wide. “The mandate of the secretariat goes far beyond the task of rehabilitating prostitutes, beggars, hawkers and other groups of destitute in the FCT. The schedule of the Secretariat encompasses improvement of the economic well-being of FCT residents through the implementation of initiatives that help in the empowerment of all vulnerable persons and groups in the FCT,” it said. “It is also part of the mandate of the Social Development Secretariat to provide succor and nurture for women, youths, children, widows and widowers in the FCT. The Secretariat equally provides welfare for persons with disability, orphans and the elderly. Other aspects of the mandate of the Secretariat include promoting sports and sporting activities in the FCT as well as harnessing the culture and tourism of the FCT. For instance, the Secretariat undertakes development of sports facilities and sporting talents hunt as well as management and upgrading sports facilities including the popular Old Parade Ground, Garki, Abuja. “Again, the fact that there are seven departments under the Social Development Secretariat attests to the widespread nature of its mandate. The departments under the Secretariat are Sports; Arts and Culture; Youths; Tourism; Gender; Welfare; and Administration. This fiscal year, 2013, the Secretariat is to commence the building of Community Sports Centres in all the six Area Councils (LGAs) of FCT beginning with Kuje, Kwali and Bwari Area Councils. “It is ironical that the misleading reports about the budget for Social Development Secretariat are making wrong waves at a time when arrangements are being finalised for the commissioning this Tuesday, February 5, 2013, of the ultra-modern Youth Support Centre at Nyanya in Abuja Municipal Council built by the Secretariat. The centre has facilities for vocational training, ICT training, printing press, five-a side football pitch, basket ball court and others.” http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/fct-n150m-budgeted-for-prostitutes-destitutes-rehab-not-n5bn/138277/ |
seanet01: There you go again.Wondaful!!! So dat's how we al should judge, right? Just as many of the BIG projects been undertaken by Baba Fash in Lagos have the signature of the FG and Private Investors. The Lekki Free Trade Zone, the centre of the many developments in Lekki axis is owned by the FG unda sm form of lease arrangement with the Chinese investors (of course, with the support of LSG), while the FG is not only supporting the new Deep Sea port been built but has 20% Equity share of the facility; many of the projects in say Badagry axis are been done by Loans guaranteed by the FG, etc etc. Moreova, who owns the land (abi na, water) that this Eko Atlantic sits on? Is it the LSG or the FG?? Since you have fooolishly decided to politicize my commendations at some of the BIG projects going on in parts of Lagos, I just wanted to highlight the above INFO... |
thelastPope: Bills are never designed in a week anywhere in the world. Stop exposing your ignorance. Many bills in the USA took years to design and pass! You have no clue!Exactly what I wanted to say to him. The Promotion of one's IGNORANCE in public with much swagger....*smh* |
GREAT.....am impressed at the kind and extent of work going on at Eko Atlantic, the Badagry Axis and parts of Lekki.... |
Sincere 9gerian: May be your wicked soul would have prefered the road remained in its previous state of dilapidation? Or perhaps the govt would have tarred the road with gold and silver?Bwahahahaha, LWKMDO..... HYPOCRITE Gan!!! ![]() |
This is the exact excerpt from the report on what Cameron said (plz, pay particular attention to his exact words in " " :After Cameroon wrote the other G8 leaders hinting on his intent to pursue the issue of transparency aggressively as president of the summit, he then proceeded early last week in Davos to publicly pin-point Nigeria as a case in point, where transparency issues have made some progress but corruption and mismanagement of huge oil wealth still continues to deny the nation’s people of their prosperity. This was my 'interpretation' of the above comment from Cameron in the comment that @Omo-Tier sheepishly responded to (rather, thought he was responding to): Cameron NEVER 'demanded' GEJ's govt to 'account for $100b gotten from oil sales', who the helll is him to demand dat anyways; as a mata of fact, his statement acknowledgd sm IMPROVEMENTS in transparency NOW and pledgd (or rather urgd his oda G8 membas) to help ensure MORE transparency going forward (which is still obviously needed)- which is just in order since Western nations are a big part of d reason successive 9jaria govts and officials hv gotten away wit such mindless waste and corruptn in d 1st placeOf course, the 'Transparency issues ..which has made some progress' cos of some probes in the Oil industry and the 'new regulations' that the discoveries from such probes have spurned- ALMOST ALL are been/being done by GEJ's Govt. It is GEJ that have ordered more than 5 probes on the extremely dark Oil industry which NO previous Nigerian Govt almost NEVER attempted; and He is the one one putting up new regulations and pushing the passage of the extremely critical PIB bill through the national assembly. Let me restate for EMPHASIS that SO MUCH MORE still needs doing in this respect, as Cameron implies. Now, this is the PROPAGANDISTS' 'interpretations' of the above comment of Cameron: C ameron says that $100Billion that Nigeria earned from the sales of il have been squandered, and He is DEMANDING accounting from GEJ on how the money was squanderedChose for yourself which 'interpretations' you believe to be closest to what Cameron said and/or intended. |
Taharqa, have you no conscience? For how long do you intend to live off droppings from the Presidential dinner table? have you no shame? Do you honestly believe GEJ is leading Nigeria on the right path to progress? Has your account balance robbed you of your senses? Do yo not see how the people in other countries with good leaders are progressing? Are you not bothered about the high level of illiteracy, unemployment, crime? Do you think you are immune to falling victim of the associated ills a profligate insensitive insincere inept government brings? You endorse 4 billion for mission house as proposed by the FCT minister, yet people in abuja die everyday because of lack of proper healthcare facilities! Have you no pity for the common man on the street who voted GEJ yet his life has been made more miserable since 2011 largely due to unwarranted fuel price increase, while your government still spends money on irrelevancies? If you think you are immune (tho you are not), have you no concern for your family members and the people around you? All because of what you want to eat!!!!Do you not fear God ![]()
LOL... The Musings of a FRUSTRATED pip.. NONSENSE, Complete and utter (Arrant) Nonsense. |
As you well know, I am based in the UK and I know you have no inkling of what Cameron's comment at Davos has done to the government of GEJ. If anything, what that signals is a change of the rules of engagement with the GEJ government just like the USA did after Yar'dua's saga. I find it utterly bizarre your unashamed defense of the intent of the FCT minister to spend N4bn on a house of an individual who is constitutionally unrecognized as far as Nigeria is concern. In all of heaven and earth, how can N5bn be spent on rehabilitation of prostitutes when the same government budgets barely N450million for all of the police college in a country as large as Nigeria? Of what importance is a city gate when the roads in and around the suburbs of Abuja are crying for serious attention? Please stop trying to spew rubbish here, the facts of the budget as presented to the senate are there for all to read. Seriously, I wonder the kind of heart you have as a human being....
An when will you quit bn d SHAMELESS COWARD dat you are. Which comment did you just respond to?? Cud you post d comment of Cameron, and show me hw it differs from my 'interpretatns'? Didnt i just say d Senate shld reject d request for the 'Mission House' cos d office of d Ist lady was unconstitutional?? While wud u respond to smone clarifying that d #5b was not just meant for d rehabilitatn of pro.stitutes but for all kinds of sociali deprivd persons in a programme that wud remove dem from d street and reintegrate them to society, with merely restarting d 'prosti.tute rehabilitatn' propaganda witout even attempting to provide counter info except those given to yr guys at d ACN's Propaganda centre? The problem wit many of u dolts is yr penchant to spurning SOUND BITES rather than ENGAGING specific points of peeps who disagree wit yr Propaganda. My points were very clear; stop playing d COWARD and respond to them, or get lost.. |
