mu2sa2: D jtf has been on a killing spree in borno, gunning down innocent people, looting & even r.aping. It's unbelievable d atrocities they are commiting in d name of security operations. Those hailing these murderers probably dont know d extent of their atrocities. Borno elders, ordinary citizens, & most people ar fed up wt jtf. Most people would rather contend wt boko haram than hav these rampaging bandits called jtf occupy d towns . Zanna's travail is politically motivated. Jtf cannot be trusted- nor believed. If you hypocrites spend half of the time in criticising and going after Boko Haram as vigorously as you are going after JTF( who are putting their lives on the line for your azzez), Boko Haram and the killings would have long been a thing of the past. You guys should keep supporting them( by not completely opposing them that is ) and see who would completely lose at the end of the day. Can you imagine you saying that 'Most people would rather contend wt boko haram than have these rampaging bandits called JTF occupy d towns'! How would you not prefer BH to JTF? Many of you are only concerned cos BH sometimes kill a few of you directly( or indirectly as a result of battling the JTF) or for most of you cos the whole thing allows some people to 'bad-mouth' your Allah or Mohammed. As long as B kills southerners or Christians, it really does not matter; at least not that much. |
They thought they could make the country ungovernable by directly and/or indirectly hijacking and supporting a group of extremists in order to create insecurity and then instigating their other 'partners' to shout 'clueless...' . Who is on d receiving end now? Who are the actors making a fo.ool of themselves now? Is it not d hight of stu.pidity to open a warfront in yr backyard in other to spite someone else?....i just feel sorry for the innocent but equally ignorant ppl that these elites hv always usd as mere pawns in their political chessgame. |
GenBuhari: We may have been unpopular with the Western nation countries during Abacha's rule (because Abacha declined all their offers of IMF loans). But we had respect in influence in the world were an African superpower. You are giving who facts. You shld be careful who u wish to debate about d history of Nigeria's Foreign affairs, k? That u are still trying to compare Abacha with Obj in terms of foreign affairs sums up all u know about 9ja's foreign relations. Abacha is down there with Shagari, Buhari and Yar'adua in terms of how they handled( or is it did not handle) foreign relatns during their time; Obj is same class as Multala, Gowon and Babaginda....by d way, Obj did not mismanagd Nigerian Airways; Babangida, Abacha and Abdusalam did. Obj only liquidatd an already dead Airline. You obviously dont hv a clue what you are saying guy |
GenBuhari: Obj started Nigeria's decline. My frnd STOP this yr constant Abacha worship, it is no longer funny. There was never a time Nigeria was Isolatd and derided than during Abacha's regime; we still are in sm ways dealing with sm of d fall-outs of that isolatn..and Obj was the main reason why Nigeria startd to reintegrate to d international community and gain sm respect afta Abacha's disastrous foreign adventures. To compare Obj and Abacha foreign relatns is akin to comparing day and night, it also shows u hv no clue bout d history Nigeria's foreign relations |
Plz remind me again when PHCN wud be Privatisd; shee na this week or next? This is what i want to know. |
Propaganda ALWAYS backfires in the long run. You could only keep it going for so long. I also thought ACN was going to be the party but the way the have comported themselves, esp their Noise-making Propaganda arm( led by Lai Mohammed) have put some people away. I still regard them a little higher than PDP though( and that should tell you how low I regard the PDP); yet if they continue this free fall and GEJ continue to do well and solves some major problems in Nigeria( like Power, Railways, Rods, Corruption, Govt Bureaucracy, Electoral Reforms, Agriculture etc), it would rub-off well on PDP and they would ave themselves to blame. If you must oppose, do so with Substance; with Alternatives. Oh....they should do something about Tinubu, if you know what am talking about. |
This honestly is great. Hopefully it wud serve as a measure of what is possible to our brothers in d north( esp d idea of ranching) |
These ppl dont seem to know what Insentivity means...pity |
Eziachi: I am not preaching to you but I am rather educating you free of charge on the tenet of real democracy. Most of you born and raised inside military dictatorship has carried the psyche into this pseudo Nigerian democracy and you can see the effect all around..Again @Eziachi Shut yr mouth plz.. You are not new on NL, hw u actuali think we wud accept this 'neutral' posture of yrs is astonishing and frankly insulting. You go round threads giving us the impressions that virtuali every ill in 9ja, is causd by one man( or at least that he is responsible for the ills- including those he inheritd), and now afta a series of substantially better electns( an extremely critical part of national life) you start yr 'preachings' on hw d president shld nt hv any thing to do institutns in mature democracies blabla....this is Hypocrisy. I honestly dont hv a problem wit many of d points you are NOW raising( sm of them are sound and are points i wud raise myself) but i hv a problem wit d Hypocrisy involvd in d apparent change in paradigm this time round.. (in)Consistency is d issue |
Eziachi: Its the usual Nigerian's leader is god mentality. Election conduct shouldn't have anything to do with a president anyway. But when people like you kept congratulating him, he will now thinks that it depends on him how the outcome becomes.Plz Shut ya mouth, hypocrite. If this electn had any significant 'scratch', many of u goons wud hv mastur.bating bout hw GEJ is 'clueless', 'retarded', ' a trainee' etc; smthing diff now and you are Preaching. Who d hell are you preaching to? |
Abeg where is Gbawe, Dayokanu and co? They hv bn usuali missing in action since yterday's night. I miss them a lot today o, lol.....hahahaha.. |
I recall sm few yrs ago when d UN( esp d US) were breathing down our necks and asking Nigeria to send troops to Somalia, GEJ playd them 4 a very long time and we eventuali didnt send any troops( cept sm oda support we gave and policemen we sent recently) cos regardless of d 'African brotherhood' thing, d distance was such that Alshabaab wasnt that much of a grave threat to us and so there was no real need to get ourselves entangled at d messy Somalian milito-political situatn( thankfully their immediate neighbours Kenya and Ethiopia wit d Somali govt demselves seem to be doing d job well ). Smart move.. But in d case of Mali, it is our 'obituary' we are talking about here. Most of d al-queda linkd terroists in northern Mali today are not Malians, but a contpori of extremists from virtuali every part of d Muslim world who intend to mk northern Mali their base. The whole of West and Sahel Africa face a real existential threat if nothing is done; for us in 9ja, BH wud likely be a child's play. This is one of those few cases where 9ja's interventns in African conflicts mks real sense to us... Another interesting move here is dat unlike those days when 9ja wud just go ahead almost 'singlehandedly' and plunge herself into such interventn, she is spreading d risks and costs amongst all d affectd parties dis time around; d meeting GEJ attended in Mali was calld by ECOWAS, AU, EU and d UN. Everybody concernd wud play its part even though Nigeria is expectd to lead d process. Smart move Again.....may God deliver us always from those extremists who are determind and scheming to destroy us. May all their plans and machinatns come to naught. Amen. |
Abeg you guys who are on ground there in Ondo shld Shun partisanship while reporting today. Just say wot yr eyes saw only abeg. NL may be the only means that some of us hv to follow the goings-on in Ondo today, so make una behave o. Tell d TRUTH and nothing but d Truth today; and may God bless una as u do. ....may the best man win |
Sunebanty: Reports coming from my correspondents in all the 18local government area says millitary men on full alerthahahaha....which kind report be this |
There is no where in d world where d Resolutns of a national assembly carries the force of law. Resolutns of national assembly carries a lot of power, but its only political power; a national assembly wot its salt would find ways to use other powers that it has( like d Power of d Pulse) to INFLUENCE d implementatn of their resolutns instead of wishing that d impossible be made possible. The idea is so silly and clearly show that those who support it hv no clue bout not just Democracy and d principle of Separatn of Power but even d very reason why humans formd govts in d 1st place. Hv u ever heard of d Dictatorship of d Mob? smh..... The law would not pass. Even if it very unlikely passes, that executive only needs to tk it to d courts who wud decimate d 'law' in a week |
Prof Corruption: Who cares about number 2 not to talk of 81?And what position is yr mother again? |
Pain: The world has always been plagued with disasters. The only reason why people think it has increased in our time is because of the proliferation and pervasiveness of new media aided by information technology which has made the world a whole lot smaller place. News of disasters are made now available within seconds of occurrence.Great Point....condolence to the families of d dead, and quick recovery to the wounded |

The fruits of Mr Presidents 'Transformation' are beginning to show more. In a few weeks/Months, more Rail lines, Airports, Roads, Inland Seaports, Dams etc ought to be commissioned. This airport is one of the 11 airports cut across the nation that were chosen to be completed Remodeled/Reconstructed to Modern terminals from the sorry states that most were( most of them have not been touched since they were constructed more than 30 years ago). Already apart from this lagos terminal, the terminals in Benin, Owerri and Kano are virtually complete and should be commisioned this month or next, while the others are generally more than 80% cmplete. Remodeeling work should start in the other set of 11 airport by year's end or early next year. To see the changes in these airports from the old to the new states, read: http://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=Ministerial+Press+Briefing+%E2%80%93+365+Days+of+Aviation+Sector+Transformation&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffmi.gov.ng%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F05%2FAviation-Ministerial-Press-Briefing-365-Days-of-Transformation-2.pdf&ei=x_KBUOykJ-em0QXM5ICwBA&usg=AFQjCNFQvN1SORuCvEvDg113Ifzc5A7eGg |
The newly remodelled General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos, will be commissioned in Lagos on Monday, October 22, 2012 by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim. It will be the first terminal to be commissioned, among the 11 airports that are currently undergoing remodelling under the first phase of the Airport Remodelling Project. According to the General Manager Corporate Services, of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mr Yakubu Dati, the new terminal occupies a total floor area of about 4000 square metres, with maximum passenger capacity of about 400, at peak periods. Dati explained that the departures and arrivals lounges have been increased to about 829 square metres and 982 square metres, respectively while the check-in-area occupies an area of about 1550 square metres. The increase will make passenger facilitation and cargo processing faster and easier. He said the story of the terminal began in November, 2011, when the old terminal building that was built in the 1950s was demolished. The new terminal underwent a total reconstruction from the foundation and the resulting edifice is a testimony to the resilience and determination towards turning around the aviation sector. It would be recalled that on assumption of office as the Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah, promised to transform the aviation industry, in line with the Transformation Agenda of the Federal Government. The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. George Uriese has pursued these goals and translated the vision to concrete reality under the direction of the Minister. Recently, the Minister led an international road show which has attracted tremendous support from the international investors. Already an MoU has been signed between the governments of Nigeria and China for the construction of five new airport terminals in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port-Harcourt and Enugu. http://thenationonlineng.net/new/news/remodelled-terminal-of-lagos-airport-for-commissioning/#comment-22237 |
Nigerians remain gullible and continue to allow their prejudices becloud their better judgments. This story does not add up. What is the motive for this senseless attack on this Okada worker? It does not appear to be robbery because we have not been told that anything was stolen. Herdsmen do not run around killing people unless in self defense. I am more inclined to believe that the victim here was not attacked by Fulani herdsmen, but impostors.
And does 'self-defence' include self-determind Retaliation for past harm? |
Demdem: The bottom line is Hembe has been punished (removed from committee chairmanship) and he is still in court for the bribery allegations. What is or has been Oteh's punishment so far for the below or are we saying it didnt happen at all? has she defended herself against these allegations? what was her defence? And she was suspended on accounts of these accusatns. An international Audit firm( i think PriceWatersCorpers) was askd to investigate the allegatns, and their virdict was that these accusatns were mainly false but also determind that Oteh needed to improve on what they calld ' Administrative Lapses'; it was on the basis of this that she was recalld.....does it not seem odd to you that d only 'substantial' point the strong forces against her have is that she 'wastd money with hotels and refreshments'( not that she stool them)- when these same national assembly members are probably the most wasteful in d country. Until substantial reasons are presentd against her, i say leave her alone http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/protest-mars-arunma-oteh-s-reinstatement/120357/ |
Demdem: What's foolish in that post of mine? Abegii commitsStop attacking his person; attack his policies or even style if you so choose. Constantly attacking a person's personality makes you look unserious |
Demdem: As long as one is under the influence of kai-kai such changes them frequently like diapers. So its normal.Dont be foo.lish Demdem... |
take dat: I do not doubt Oteh's ability to drive the Capital Market but her arrogance is her albatross. We have much distinguished women like NOI who have through their HUMILITY carried their workforce along without any qualms. We have a lot of bad people in Nigeria's bureaucracy but ones ability to drive them to achieve your goal makes you a good leader. Oteh should quit her arrogance and see how successful she would be.Define Arrogance plz? |
lacasa: Failed govt Failed state. Are you not bn really foo.lish as usual? How can govt remove subsidy in order to protect the 'cabals'? If the govt really wantd these so-calld 'cabals' to continue to hv access to free money( subsidy), wouldnt d govt be fighting to keep the conditn of Economic rent that it met so that their 'cabal friends' wud continue to fleece d nation just as they hv bn doing since d time of Obj? Why did the President put his then considerable political capital on d line in order to cut d source of the 'free money' from the 'cabal' thieves if he wantd to keep supporting these same 'cabals'. Your stu.pid reasoning is akin to saying that dis govt removing Fertilizer subsidy that have always bn paid to 'political farmers' who never supply d fertilizers to d real farmers anyways, and which was d main source of corruptn in d Min of Agric for years, but instead now pays it directly to the farmers themselves is somehow a way of supporting those same 'cabals' in that ministry.... Logic needs to be reintroducd in our primary and secondary schools i swear; sm ppl are literate but barely educated |
leyom234: But why those names that have never been familiar with the business of electricity? Why those same people who have eaten deep into the lives of our people? The truth is most capable foreign investors were frustrated out of the bidding process beside of their hidden agenda? That is just not true. No investor who played by the rules that was set before the start of the process were 'frustrated out of ..the process'; and by the way these rules( and even the timelines) were meticulously followed in what I think is a first for Nigerian Govt undertaking. Moreover, all of these companies that were involved in the bidding process were actually CONSORTIUM of different companies , at least one of which was usually technically competent international companies. Check through these consortia of the each bid again. By the way, am not saying that there may not have been some underhand dealings( I honestly dont know ) but the process and the rules were very very diligently adhered to. I hope that the powerful forces of Demand and Supply would make them provide the service we all need- uninterrupted Power Supply. |
