Pukkah: If Jonathan does some drastic things like you've mentioned and then removes fuel subsidy, many people that went to Ojota would not even mind.He is already doing just that right now, for Goodness sake. And, am talking about the #360bn FG share of SURE-P it has so far received... |
Wud hv condemned this right away but coming from PremiumTimes and knowing d political charged environment today in Nigeria fraught with lots of lies and distortions, I wud wait till details, esp from Govt side, come in. I also find it difficult to bliv that any person wud be so Stu.pid as to try to steal #30m in such a Public way where they are guaranteed to be caught. If on d other way, it turns out to be true (I can't imagine how any person wud be so DUMB though), those officials in d MOFA shld not only be caught and jailed but shld be FLAYED alive for been so Stup.id and trying to insult our intelligence so cheaply... |
Very, very Good. It makes one reali proud to be Nigerian..... By d way, wud you chaps stop d Sillly attempt at tribalising this |
Pukkah: These are mere excuses. Someone could also reverse the argument and ask if Kano earns as much as the FG?The Govt is not non-Performing. Far from it. A cursory look at d many physical projects going in many sectors (Roads, Rails, Seaports, Riverports and Jetties, Airports, Dams, etc) in d last 3 yrs shld tell u that. Plus, d FG usuali hv other sources of funding Capital budget, which are not usuali reflected in d main budget. For instance, d over #260bn SURE-P fund (about just less than #200bn of which wud go into such infrastructure as roads, rails and bridges) was not reflected in this budget. The #200bn 'ASUU' Fund deposited in d CBN and meant sorely for Capital projects in our Universities is also not reflected in this budget. The ova #150bn TETFUND, most of which is also meant for infrastructure developments in our Tetiary, was also not reflected in this budget; I am not sure but I doubt even UBEC was so included. There are other sources of course like International Funding, PPP Arrangements, Private Fundings for already privatised sectors like Power, etc..... Let me just say that d 72% Recurrent figure proposed for this yr is troubling and personali disappointing, esp as it is a very unwelcome reversal of this Govt's yearly reduction of d Recurrent from 77.1% in 2010 when it came in to 68% this yr. I wud hv loved to discuss furda but can't type more at d moment; wud just enjoy u guys disagree and hopefully agree at sm points ie Debate..... |
. |
And Oh! by d way, @'Ndu-chuks', I don't bliv nor support 'Free Education' in d Tetiary levels; and only for Least Educated States like many in d North, wud I support same for Senior Secondary. The Govt shld robustly support Education and create Mechanisms for securing access to d most vulnerable persons in society, without trying to introduce mere Feel-Good-Policies that are ultimately unsubstainable. |
I know you dodged my question to you on the other thread but please do not dodge this one. Sir, what are your objections to free education for ALL Nigerians and the requirement that ALL Nigerian children must obtain at a minimum, primary school education with stiff penalties for parents who do not send their children to school?
I didn't 'dodge' yr questns on that thread. I hvn't been feeling well for days now, so I hvn't been a fan of penning long comments or even opening new threads fos sm days now; plus, I thought my comment on that thread was sufficient for d points I wanted to make.....@topic, I said you told sm Lies in yr OP. Here are just 2 of them: 1. It is not true that APC States promote Free Education at all levels, when for in stance APC States in d SW (former ACN States) charge d HIGHEST Skul fees in Tetiary Institutions in Nigeria. 2. #64bn, not #700bn, is d amount 'lost' to Duty Waivers; and it even from 2012-mid 2013.... Merry Xmas, guy |
onuawuchi: is the 30K not a bribery attempt, assuming it was for real? If so how effective do you think your curse will be?lol ..... |
Our Broda 'Ndu-chuks' have gone MADT again, with his Lies and Innuendos.... |
olas24u: Dividing the country along religious lines.Reali?? |
I dey laugh .... |
tybank: New prayer point for those who say Jonathan has performed.....Amen.... Now, cud you say Amen to my prayer too? |
adino: powerful prayer point. Permission to use it to bless facebook, twitter, nairaland and other e-rats and e-nematodes.lol....Permitted granted, Bros |
berem: Goodluck Jonathan is promoting militants criminally. There are over 35 percent of unemployed graduates and he only cares for Ijaw militants. What happened to other ethnic groups? When is the second niger bridge commencing? This man has totally killed Nigeria! >Fooolish comment from a very, very Fooolish and confused gurl?? |
Delafruita: what's this one saying?are you justifying such huge allocation to a group of criminals or ex-criminals?its good to note that you didn't consider defending the lopsided distribuition between recurrent and capital.that you didn't think it made sense to explain why we are still spending almost 1trillion on fuel subsidy shows that even you no longer has the heart to defend most of the actions of the retardeenOh! SHUT it tha, fast. In 2008/2009, when Yar'adua was developing his Amnesty Program, VIRTUALI EVERY NIGERIAN VOICE then who talked supported him and even urged him on; and like I said, just sm 2 days ago sm of u hailed d Amnesty program and Yar'adua as d 'best things' to ever happen to Nigeria. The payment of stipend and training of d ex-Militants for a No of yrs was/still is a CORE part of that program. The program was met to last 4 or 5yrs, and so wud continue to this year's end or next..... The questn for yr HYPOCRITES is: did you ever think d program a good and timely program? If yes, at what point and for what reason(s) did it become heresy? |
bappahman: If your not current nd upto date, I hope u can readGuy, you do not know what you are talking about? Read d budget head unda which this sum was allocated, and notice d word 'Pilot'. Also, read what d Borno and Gombe Govs said, esp that of Gombe (there is no Economic Plan for d NE as of yet).. |
Have everybody noticed how vastly improved most of those terrible federal roads now are?? Every person I asked about their Xmas travelling this year have said d same tin. Everyone of them. It is not exclusive to this Abuja-Lokoja Rd alone (even though as sm persons hv said here, smtin close to a 'miracle' have happened on that road esp since d floods of 2012).... |
themaskedman: Wia de children of anger dey? Make dem come answer this question now or...Guy, you go wait tire bi dat o... |
By d way, wasn't it you CLOWNS who told d rest us 2 days ago on anoda thread that late Yar'adua was many times greater than GEJ cos he reduced Petrol price from #70 to #65 and cos of d Amnesty Program. So you HYPOCRITES didn't know that the CORE component of that Amnesty Program is d payment of stipends to d Ex-militants and their training?... You chaps can't hv it both ways: it is either a good tin Or not. It can't be both ways |
teniyi: Oti da Baun. Up Ijaw president. No sensible achievement yet. Roads are still bad, light not stable yet, 5 months strike by lecturers at a go, crime at the highest ever, bunckering is booming, all this and many more after we paid more for PMS. Greatest mistake and regret by the people that voted this inexperienced, shoeless, clueless palmwine drunkard! The New Prayer Point hencefort folks is: may those people who say that GEJ had not done anytin and deny his many Projects (Roads, Airports, Seaports, Riverports, Rail, Housing, Schools, Hospitals, Dams, Agriculture, Trade, etc etc etc), COLLAPSE AND DIE (or nearly so) Anytime they actuali use any of these Projects..... Guy, abeg say a big AMIN. Compliments of d Season |
obitwo: Once again the Second Niger Bridge is missing in the equationLike I just told you minutes ago on another thread, you have an inability to comprehend simple English that you read. Go and find a solution to d ailment, fast.... |
bappahman: Go through the 2014 budget and u will be enlightened on the 2Bill northe east economic dev fundShow us where exactly this is in d budget, you LIAR... and tell us how that is d only sum coming from d FG to d NE |
This sum is the share of SURE-P going to Road Infrastructure, right? It excludes d sum allocated to d road sector from d normal budget listings, which shld also be at least another #100bn.... |
obitwo: He wasn't the only one that ate the starterDo these CLOWNS know how to read common English language?? |
OP when did d FG budget #2bn for d Economic Transformation of d NE?? |
eGuerrilla: ^^^Look at this shameless HYPOCRITE regurgitating same LIES from SR. Were you not d same IJIOT who also posted that sillly Oil calculation by PT? By d way, I think I rememba you as been on that thread of d 200 cars imported by LASG. I shall find d thread and post yr comment therein once I get to my computer.. |
In the spirit of the season and as responsible Nigerians, lets put aside the name calling and partisanship for the purpose of having a honest conversation. Lets assume that SR distorted the information it received from the Ministry of Finance. Now, we agree on the following because it came from Ngozi Iweala herself: (1)Waivers as a stronger tool of economic development (2)Information published by the Federal Ministry of Finance was a list of state governments, private sector organisations and other institutions, which were granted waivers to bring in vehicles for various events including sports festivals, conferences and workshops. (3)Ministry of Finance listed the beneficiaries of the waivers for vehicle imports which include First Ladies Forum , which was granted a waiver for vehicles required for their event hosted by Nigeria These facts are not in dispute. Pertinent questions which must be answered before reaching the conclusion that SR distorted the information it received: (a)Were the waivers issued to First Ladies Forum executed, if so, where are the 200 vehicles now and who or which organiation are they titled to? (b)If the waivers were not fully executed, because some of the vehicles used for the First Ladies Forum were leased, where is the proof that the waivers were not fully executed? (c)Cosharis has not denied receiving the said waivers, so where is the list of Chassis numbers of the vehicles it purchased on behalf of the first ladies forum. Taharqa, since you've reached the conclusion that SR distorted the information it has, would you please try to answer the above questions to the best of your ability? No name calling please. I only seed reasonable and mature discussion with you. I suspect that you are a decent person who is not a jobber, so please indulge me with a sensible response.
I will tell you a story, a true story, in d spirit of d season: about 2 months ago when d Oduah case was still trending, I rememba many persons openly threads on d Lagos State Govt purchase of armoured cars (she is d largest buyer of such cars in Nigeria outside Abuja) and d 'purchase' of 200 assorted cars for d National Sports Festival from Cosharis. I particularly remember a thread on these 200 cars, where I was all ova that thread, demanding to know why d LASG wud import 200 cars just for one event, seek Waivers for d purchase and cud not account for d cars since then? I almost called Fashola and d LASG a 'thief' and very 'wasteful' on that thread, till an APC e-RAT came on that thread and EXPLAINED to us: he told us that LASG didn't import the said cars, but had an arrangement with Cosharis motors who did d actual importation, to use d 200 cars for d Sports Festival and return them immediately d Festival ended, as long as d LASG wrote to d Finance Ministry so it can hv d duties on d said cars waved; that same e-RAT also told us about other Events where such Arrangements hv been used, including d CHOGM 2003 Commonwealth Conference. I remember stopping my criticism IMMEDIATELY I read this Explanation, and ackwoledging my mistake on that thread. Now, 'Ndu-chuks', cud you explain to me why I shld criticize this particular one when it is EXACTLY THE SAME ARRANGEMENT as the Lagos one and odas I stopped criticizing when I knew d full Info on them? And why did SR decide to Pick on this particular Event out of many for their particular brand of 'Journalist' PROPAGANDA? Why did SR even mention d name of d 1st Lady for an Event that Nigeria hosted, yet didn't mention d names of d Govs of those States that did EXACTLY the same tin d African 1st Ladies' Conference Event did? Why did they mention d 1st Ladies name as if to give d impression that she benefitted in any way or form from d Arrangement, when those cars like in d case of d LASG, went back to Cosharis? If you are swayed by sillly PROPAGANDA by a heavily discredited and biased medium as SR, I can only say: Goodluck to you (in d Spirit of d Season)... |
Wait oh... Was there fuel sacristy during Yar'duas time at Christams? Am just asking oh.
YES, there was, you DUNCE... |
tosan200: I think they are daring NOI , if she claims their report is false, she should come out with the real list of people who benefited from the waivers. As they say he who must come into equality must come with a clean hand. The list is already out, you DUNCE. It is on d Ministry of Finance Website. It was from there that SR saw d list, distorted the Info and came to serve OLODOs like yrself this sorts of 'news'. Got it? |
scribble: SaharaReporters is one of the most credible news sources in Africa and is recognized by peers like Al Jazeera and New York Times. And I was thinking you were a Smart chap. Don't be carried away by reali Sillly and honestly, Cheap, PROPAGANDA, guy... The Waiver was given to Cosharis so that d Organisers of d African 1st Ladies Conference, which Nigeria hosted, can use the cars without paying anytin; exactly d same tin the Lagos and Rivers State Govts did when they hosted d National Sports Festival respectively. Same tin happened during CHOGM 2003, when Nigeria hosted d Commonwealth Conference, etc etc. The same arrangement had been going on for years precisely cos Nigeria does not hv a developed Leasing System. Why did SR pick on only d Arrangement for d African 1st Ladies Conference for criticism, if not to advance their diabolical narrowminded course? Why did they mention d name of d 1st lady, and suggested she benefitted in any way or form from d arrangement? Why mention d 1st Lady's name in respect of an Event dat Nigeria hosted but just mentioned State Govts in respect to d Events that they hosted (why didn't they mention Fashola, Ameachi, Uduaghan, OBJ, etc)??.... I can't bliv any Sane person still takes SR seriously anymore |
SR shld be Ashamed of itself. Don't they hv any Shame?? |
Very Fooolish people. ASO ROCK, just like many Presidential 'palaces' around d world, has always had a Zoo. Spending about 14m on d Zoo is supposed to be a 'bad' tin, faa?? ... Bunch of Jobless DOLTS |
