Yet ANOTHER one hits the FINISH mark. This is more like it....... The Ihovbor Plant shldn't hv much problem with Gas cos of d nearby newly resuscitated Oredo Gas field |
I love d IDEA. We need better Identity Management and General Database in Nigeria. More of it... Wish other States and even d FG wud do same |
ochukoccna: Is it only federal roads ABC passes through?LOL... 'They' hv started to arrive *laughs*. But Goon1 was this d best that you cud do?? ABC MOSTLY passes tru FEDERAL Roads, so they were clearly talking about Federal Roads even though a few State Roads may be included. ABC and oda Major Road Transport Cops (and even FRSC) hv perpetuali COMPLAINED about d State of our Road Infrastructure for AGES including as recently as 2yrs ago. If they are now singing a new song, it must surely be that d type and tempo of d music hv changd or is changing, No?.... Plus, that Order to d Fed Min of Works and FERMA by the President to recover a large chunk of bad KEY Federal Roads in d country hv so succeeded it is one of d reasons (in additn to Previous and Ongoing works) there has bn such a significant IMPROVEMENT on d State of our Roads. FERMA for instance, hv NEVER done as much work either Directly or tru Contractors since they were formd in 2004 as they did in d last 5months or so. You can quote me on dat..... GEJ IS INDEED NOT WORKING |
Am I Surprised? This wud be the 4th time I wud be making dis statement/claim in 4 Straight days: the amount and pace (esp, pace) of work that hv gone into the Constructn/Reconstructn/Rehabilitatn/Repairs of FEDERAL Roads in d last yr or so far outstripe any such work done in d last 10 yrs or so. That NONE of d known HYPERACTIVE Goons here hv taken me up on dis claim says a lot. I really do not need a Transport company to know that MOST of d KEY FEDERAL Roads that hv bn abandond for yrs and were at a terrible State of disrepair hv eida bn Done Or is bn Done. But its not just Roads- Rails, Airports, Inland ports, Inland Waterways Ports, Seaports, Power Infrastructn etc- are ALL improving, unda a little more than 2 yrs. YET GEJ IS NOT DOING ANYTHING... |
blink182: Clearly Ernest Ndukwe was just fooling around all through his stay. At this rate of competition inducing reforms, soon we may not need VPN to unlimited download.Ndukwe did d ground work, and a fantastic work at that to set the industry on d right 1st start; he wasn't obviously concernd about these kinds of 'reforms' as you call. The people there now are only continuing from where his team stoppd, and are apparently doing good at that..... For me, d most IMPORTANT thing to tk away from the HUGE and continued SUCCESSES in d Telecoms Sector is d even GREATER Possibilities in d Power and Oil sectors once they are completely OPENED up to Competition and Efficiency of d Private Sector. Esp d Power Sector- its possibilities EXCITES me every time |
Yea!! My guy is back on TOP... |
LADEMINUS: @taharqa.. Let me assure u that NO rail was constructed or built under sure-p.. That's a clear fact.. I happen to be very close to the district manager of the NRC, all that was embarked on was maintanance.. Nigeria uses an outdated narrow guage, hence if new tracks were to be built, we would all know cos all the Locomotives would be changed since their engines are narrow guage!!Abeg, let me hear word joor. You are not close to any District Manger or any such thing, and even if you were you dont have a any clue bout that place. SURE-P funded parts of the Reconstruction/Rehabilitation/Relaying of the Lagos-Kano Guage system and many of its Spur lines. Apart from the fact that Budgetary funds are NEVER enuf to finish ANY prject in Nigeria and/or (parts of) the funds are not either released at all or released piecemeal, there were many unforeseen problems with the Lagos-Kano Railway Project that were unplanned for, so wasn't part of the budget- esp the problems with some flooded bridges and Akere and parts of Niger State. Had they waited for another Budgetary funding the following year (ie this year) that project would not have been completed by now. And by the way, the Lines were not just 'maintained'. That is so astonishingly IGNORANT. Gosh!!! Some of the tracks, Bridges, Culverts, Joinings etc were already washed out, Derailed or in some cases even vandalized by some persons. Those tracks, Brides etc had to be Relayed/ Realigned and Reconstructed. Even Most parts of the onging PH-Maiduguri track Rehabilitation project, for instance along Aba, is undergoing a complete Reembarkment of the substructure, reconstruction of the Raised platform (am not to sure now if it is a bridge) and a complete Relaying of new Narrow Guauge tracks. Whoever put it in your head that they were only been 'maintained'??SMH for IGNORANTS makng Assertions in PUBLIC with so much CONFIDENCE. |
LADEMINUS: No sir, you are the one that has no idea of what u are saying..Cos of the @Emboldened, this comment is also just appropriated fr you: If sm of you dont hv a clue of what you are talking about, why dont you SHUT d helll up for God's sake. Few things are more painful that an IGNORANT making ASSERTIONS in PUBLIC with CONFIDENCE.Thnks. ...Oh! Wait. Did you just also say : 'we have never had it so bad'?? Really? You just said that with a Straight face!!! You said that why telling us (at least in your own skewed way) that a Rail line that have been DEAD for Decades is now up and running; yet, we have never had it so bad?? See why I dont bother to respond many times to these CLOWNS?? |
Will you shut up there...uncircumcised criminal! Which company completed the rehabilitation of the tracks? Even the disgraced Christopher Kolade was not bold enough to mention the Lagos-Kano railway when He was quizzed by the reps on what SURE-P funds has been spent on! Serial liar and accursed from the womb! Every critical project in the criminal administration have always been budgeted for well over the actual cost and monies have always been released for these projects! What business is SURE-P with projects already appropriated for by the National Assembly? SURE-P like other programmes before it is a monumental fraud. Thank God sensible Nigerians are asking the right questions! The shameless wiggos can not provide a rational answer on what they spent the money on, yet the drunken fisherman is planning on increasing the fuel pump price.
Plz, I didn't see where you stated again in dis yr new comment that d completion of Lagos-Kano Rail Route was done by 'Chinese Loans'? Abi, you don dey change mouth so soon?? All I see is smone RANTING away, and am not interest, plz....Abeg, in case you still decide to mk same claim in yr nx comment, dont forget to provide sm evidence of d claim amidst d nx Rant. When some of us were saying these same stuff here, some GOONS here would be spitting Thrash- the ONLY thing they know how to do. I have ALWAYS asked on this forum what area has deteriorated since GEJ took over (apart from Security, perhaps- which is unfortunate by the way). Every index indicate some level of PROGRESS on all other ares/sectors- Rails, Power, Roads, Cost of Governance, Elections, Inland ports, Transparency in Government, Airports, Seaports, Education etc etc; some of these areas may admittedly not be fast enough (like Education) and we CERTAINLY have not even gotten close to where we ought to be as a nation in each of these areas- BUT there is PROGRESS, and afterall, an Admin CANNOT be expected to clear the INCREDIBLE MESS which have been ACCUMULATING for some Decades and which it met, in less than 3 years; BUT the point is that PROGRESS is clearly been made in MOST of these areas. - Nigeria is presently undertaking what have been described as the 'largest Privatization and Reforms in the Power Sector in the world', a relatively Transparent process that is in its concluding stages; as well as building almost 500 Power related projects (in Generation, Transmission, Distribution) SIMULTANEOUSLY, as well as the associated Gas infrastructure; - In less than 3 years, Nigeria is Resuscitating 3000kms of its old Railways system (Lagos-Kano, PH-Maiduguri and their may associated Spur Lines) which had been deteriorating since the 1980s and which was virtually DEAD for about 10-15 years, as well as building new Standard Lines in pats of the country (by both the FG and some State Govts like Lagos); - Nigeria is almost SIMULTANEOUSLY Remodeling/Reconstructing its entire Decrepit Domestic Airports, building new Cargo terminals and on the verge of building 5 new Standard International Terminals; just as it is significantly upgrading Airport Related facilities, especially in terms of safety (Total Radar Cover, VHF Communication Systems, Dopplar Weather Systems, Alternative Power Supply System etc); - Nigeria is fixing its key FEDERAL Roads at a pace not seen in years, with significant improvements already felt on some of these key roads; - Nigeria is improving Services in Older Seaports as Private Concessioning of the ports deepen and the Time to Clear Goods in those ports (and hence Demorrage Costs) significantly reduces; just as 4 Inland Water ports are SIMULTANEOUSLY been built in the country, etc etc. Investors know of some of these Infrastructure upgrades and many more (some of them ongoing); they know of the improved FISCAL environment been midwifed by people like Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi and Aganga as they article also indicates. They know of the opportunities cropping up in the Agriculture sector cos of the REVOLUTION in that sector been midwifed by another Reformist, current Agric Minister (and personally, the best in the Cabinet) Dr Adesina, and many other areas opening up like Power, COnsumer Goods Industry, Manufacturing, Mining etc. In fact, they know that Nigeria's Infrastructural inadequacies are avenues for massive investments and profits, coupled with the large and Dynamic population of Nigeria- an investor, esp in Africa, would be 'Mad' not to seriously look towards Nigeria. Those ENEMIES OF NIGERIA who have chosen to make the Govt of GEJ 'ungovernable' Or create that IMPRESSION, whether through Boko Haram Bombings or through a Shameless and unimaginable Media PROPAGANDA, are FAILING and would continue to FAIL. God bless the President and his team; and God bless this our GREAT country, NIGERIA. May it continue to SOAR HIGHER, and fulfill that GREAT Promise it always was, in our Life time. AMEN. |
egift: Gregg, your comment is the A-Z of the problem with the SURE-P abracatabra. We have budgets in Nigeria. What the government ought to do if they are sincere is to say this is the additional fund injected to this project through the SURE-P and here was the regular provision. Therefore we can say, because of x-naira additional funding the project was able to be completed. Will you SHUT it. Stop projecting yr IGNORANCE on d rest of us- its insulting. That YOU dont know that's how d Govt does it, doesn't mean that the Govt does do it like that.... How do you people just talk with so much CONFIDENCE bout tins you know nothing about?? Go pick a Budget Or smthing, plz |
gregg2: The annual budget you talked about does not "carter for all these projects" my friend. The capital vote of about 120 billion for ministry of works in the 2013 budget cannot fix all the federal roads and bridges in the 36 states and Abuja. Infact, Abuja alone require more than that amount to keep it's roads and bridges in top shape. What government does therefore, is to spread these amount thinly across as many federal roads as possible. That is why execution of some projects take many many years to complete. For example, the Benin - Ore road is taking upto 8yrs now to complete. SURE-P is meant to provide additional funding to speed up execution of these projects so that a project that ordinarily could take upto 10 yrs to complete with our normal budgeting system could be shortened to maybe 6 or 7 yrs. Benin - Ore road is nearing completion now as a result of these additional funding it is receiving from SURE-P.Bros, plz Stop Educating these IGNORANTS for free... Ignorance is Bliss, hvn't you heard |
ewet: You must be a clown. Were monies not allocated for those in the previous budgets and are you cartegorically telling me we couldnt hav railways or the supposed eastwest rd without SURE P?i dnt thnk so.please tell me you are alibaba b4 i start thinking u r trying to outdo GEJ in the act of cluelessness.YOU shuld get the GEJ award for the dumbest ass ever.If sm of you dont hv a clue of what you are talking about, why dont you SHUT d helll up for God's sake. Few things are more painful that an IGNORANT making ASSERTIONS in PUBLIC with CONFIDENCE. Do you undastad hw d Budgeting system work at all sef?? |
GraceBestowed: My question is; HOW did this kind of information reach the medias' ears? Truly, what is done in the secret shall surely come to light! And how do you know that dis Media story is even true?? So you bliv anything you hear/read from d Nigeria Media without sm form of collaboratn from oda sources?.... Na wait na im me dey as usual |
Chamber10: If FG and PDP are boko Haram as speculated by some people, why is it that it is now opposition parties and northerners that are pushing FG to grant amnesty to the Boko haram a.k.a killers of innocent citizens. I thought they should be the one kicking against any amnesty for BH.It is calld HYPOCRISY and Double Speak, Bros |
thelastPope: 60% of all news items in the media today is rumour, lies and propaganda, including NL. It is very wrong.True!!! |

danny301: You are a very big ignorant and deluded fellow yet you stupidly rushed out to defend Akapbio on issue you know nothing about all in the name of sentiment. In case you don't know, there are guidelines for primary elections, like any other election. The only difference is that primary elections are done within the party and not by the general public. The fact that Nigerian Politicians have decided to be hand-picking candidates against the choices of the people does not change the law..... In 2007, Ameachi won the gubernatorial primaries under pdp in River State but OBJ went and hand-picked Omehia are the party's flag-bearer however, the court declare Ameachi the real candidate under PDP and that was how became a Governor without his standing for election..... Now tell me, where did that law come from?See who is calling someone else Ignorant? Did the Supreme Court strike out Omehia's (s)election merely cos of Internal Election within PDP itself (controlled by the PDP constitution) Or cos of the issues related to the submission/Replacement of names to INEC by the PDP (controlled by the Electoral law of the nation). The Supreme court had at various times refused to intervene in PURE internal party matters related to elections, except it directly violates the Party's constitution or the Nation's Electoral law or even the constitution- apart from those conditions, a party is virtually free to use any method it sees fit to elect its members. This was what the law that some persons in the NA were pushing in the NA ordinarily wanted to change, but ALL political parties conspired to KILL the bill. By the way, I am not and did not support Akpabio or any other political party in the continued Imposition of candidates within political parties (whether in that comment Or elsewhere). I am a STRONG advocate for 'Internal Democracy' within Political parties. That's one of the reasons why I was Disgusted that the political apparatchik in this country (ALL OF THEM) KILLED the 2011 attempt at remedying the situation. However, I HATE HYPOCRISY with every fiber of my being (if you follow my comments on this forum, you may have seen that as a recurring subject of mine). 1st, Imposition of candidates is the NORM in ALL political parties, so it is very HYPOCRITICAL for the same persons doing a particular thing to complain that someone else is doing same thing. 2nd, the SUDDEN criticizing/attack on Gov Akpabio over virtually every thing he now does, including those like this one he did years ago (this stuff happened in 2007), is simply cos of his emergence as Chair of the PDP Govs Forum and his very strong support for GEJ, FULL STOP. Nobody is foooled. |
Oh!!! Thank GOD Oooo.. So happy for her.. God bless Oga Fash and every person who made this happen.. Hope that with time many people, especially the poor, would be able to get this kinda treatment in 9ja...... |
maasoap: That's wisdom for you. Everybody wants peace and we don't see the use of force crushing the Boko guys. It is just a matter of when this crisis will escalate, they're penetrating Lagos already.1st, am talking here about the HYPOCRISY of Double Speak, which essentially raises questions abut the intentions of persons engaging in it. As recent as a week ago, the same people (Northerners, Opposition) now trying to blackmail the FG into granting 'Amnesty' to BH were telling all of us that these same BH ANIMALS were PDP chaps. So why are they SUDDENLY in the front shouting 'protection' for those same 'PDP members'? That is the HYPOCRISY I was talking about. 2nd, and talking about more serious things now, am not ordinarily against finding a means to stopping the terrible killings going on in parts of the country, even if it may mean granting Clemency to some of these ANIMALS. I want the Senseless Killings STOPPED as early as Yesterday if possible. But one must also make sure that whatever one does does not in fact aggravate the situation further. For instance, who would we be granting this 'Amnesty' to?? Are the people we intend giving this 'Amnesty' really ready to accept same. What if the Govt offers the said 'Amnesty' and the terrorists reject it? How do you think it will make the nation look?? What these people crying for 'Amnesty' now, esp Northerners, should have done is to 1st convince these people to show signs that they are serious about peace by declaring a REAL ceasefire for say a month, after which the GOVT may then offer Clemency for the foot soldiers (many of whom should have been tired of been FUGITIVES by now). By d way, the CORE BH men would never accept Dialogue though cos they are IDEOLOGUES (ie EXTREMISTS who would never accept any thing short of attaining their Beliefs)- lets stop fooling ourselves in the belief that there is any way we can 'convince' these ones to embrace Dialogue. These ones need to be taken out, FULL STOP. Hopefully, once we have been able to deny them much of their foot soldiers and ANY support from Northern communities, they can then be more easily taken out. Much depends on Northern leaders and Communities. They MUST reject any Justification for terrorism and make it clear to these ANIMALS that they DONT and WOULD NEVER support them, now or any time; and then convince the foot soldiers to lay down their weapons, then we all will be sure that they are in deed ready for PEACE without the Nation losing anything. Till then, they all seem to me a Bunch of Loud-mouthed Noise makers. NB: Whatever 'Amnesty' that may be offered MUST not include any monetary 'Benefits' to these foot soldiers. The FG should however, provide a plan for the Rehabilitation of the communities that have been affected by the violence, esp in the Northeast. I personally would not be adverse to some sort of a 'Marshal Plan' for the Northeast region. |
Huh You see why I said people like you are a curse to the nation? Do you know what would have become of Akpabio following the release of this video if He was to be living in civilized society? A man that openly confessed He manipulated an election, instead of you to condemn His actions and reprimand Him, all you could come up with is some stupid comment that He is being attacked 'cos of His strong support for GEJ. What is transparent about a man who gave out money that He never budgeted for, nor was approved by the House of assembly? What is intelligent in a man who used state funds meant for the development of an impoverished state to buy gifts for an unknown soldier? You really should be ashamed yourself. That an election rigger is a staunch supporter of GEJ clearly says it all.. NO ?
Will you SHUT that your stinking mouth there, you HYPOCRITE.This was an INTERNAL PARTY ELECTION within his party, and unfortunately NO LAW in Nigeria compels any political party to observe elections in their Primaries. Parties could do as they please as long as it follows their own constitutions (which was never written to ensure internal democracy in their various parties anyways). The law which would have made it compulsory for Primary Elections to be held within political parties which some few members of the NA was pushing in early 2011 was shot down by virtually every political party, lead by ACN. In fact, I recall with alarm how virtually every ACN leader both within the NA and outside (led by your master, Tinubu) argued vociferously that parties should be completely left to produce their own candidates the way they see fit cos they (the parties) had to choose only candidates that would pursue their Agenda and Manifesto. They ALL killed that Bill. Till today, Tinubu SELECTS virtually every internal Candidate in ACN. So dont come here and Pontificate on issues like this at all. I dont suffer a HYPOCRITE a moment's space. I insist that the SUDDEN attack on Gov Akpabio is simply cos of his emergence as Chair of the PDP Governor's Forum who are in Strong support of GEJ, PERIOD. That much is too transparent. Thank God, the man is arguably the most performing INFRASTRUCTURE wise perhaps since the advent of Democracy in 1999, else we for no hear word on that angle again. Bunch of sillly DESPERADOS. |
How come 'Opposition' have SUDDENLY risen in unison to demand for Amnesty for the same persons they told us yterday were members of the PDP?? Why are they in such an urgency to protect 'members' of a supposed political foe? Our HYPOCRISY eh, dey smelll for this country |
