Politics › Re: 3 PDP Govs, Ex-presidents Fund APC •new Party Faces Registration Hurdles •anothe by takedat(m): 2:05am On Mar 10, 2013
Another elephant and tortoise story from the stables of Tribune- PDP's media arm on publicity, fabrication, dissimulation, deception and other matters!

On the other "Abracadabra"party with the same acronym as the coalition party, whose leaders are unknown and no knowledge of when it was registered, we know its the hand of PDP with a faceless voice- The desperation of a falling party! The political actors and participants in the coalition party will surely scale the hurdles and the landmines planted by PDP!
Politics › Re: Arrested Senator Sani’s Statement To The Police by takedat(m):
When did exercising one's freedom of speech and calling for a peaceful protest without inciting imminent lawless action become a superhighway to harassment and police invitation? Obviously, the rising profile of APC is unsettling and unnerving PDP, leaving it in a disoriented state. They have now resorted into laying of landmines, and all manner of blackmail and intimidation in order to suppress what will eventually overwhelm them! God pass them!
Politics › Re: New Power DISCOs To Take Over March 11th? by takedat(m):
thelastPope: Noooooo! Haba! That news is not very correct. They are to pay the 25% two weeks after signing the agreement which is why I think they are taking over this week. Then they have a 3 month window to pay the 75%. but I think they are supposed to start setting up their structures from now. There is a lot to do. They will employ some new staff, do a lot of management and technical training, do a lot of evaluation of facilities on the ground, open new offices, etc. And they will have to weed some nicompoops out too! So yes, their impact will not be really felt till at least 2 to 3 months time. But am just excited its happening. These PHCN guys annoy me to my bones. Imagine one of them telling me they can't fix a fault in my area until the power goes of and am like, in 2013? Pathetic!
No bro! The outstanding 75% is to be paid within six months after signing the sale and purchase agreement! I wonder how reliable is the source/staff that gave you a wrong date?

Only a loser and a nasty pathetic bigot like yourself, would dispense hate filled screeds, lies and extraneous comments with the intent of provoking others simply because you live a miserable life! Yes, I agree am anti-PDP and I have never hidden my disdain, and I suppose am entitled to my opinion. I am beholden to no one nor do I sing for my supper. Quit being a do-nothing whose life is mind-numbingly boring and free yourself from self hate and discontent! thelastPope: There is a payment process. They don't have to pay fully to take over.

Sorry for the 9th date. My mistake. Monday is 11th. But a staff told me this. Just trying confirm it.
Why not wait for an official confirmation bro, we all are patiently awaiting for the take-over! They are expected to take over between June and July!

Afam4eva: When i said that ugly logo can cause confusion, some people thought i was lying.

It also shows that APC has no ideology other than that they want to wrestle power from PDP.
You'd believe any outlandish lie so as to justify your ludicrous and preposterous views!

Not with GEJ's cavalier attitude towards addressing the ills of the past! I can still remember vividly how his Attorney General helped quash the suit on the Okigbo report indicting IBB, the Haliburton scam is also there! Though, the imbalance needs to be tackled but I am not hopeful for now!

This is another surreptitious tactics by PDP to stymie the merger and I am most sure the movers of the merger will guard against it! Planting gloom mongers and merchants of doom in the guise of reliable sources won't fool anyone! In as much as the heavyweights and the governors involved in the merger all consented to the logo, no state party chairman whatsoever can frustrate it! The merger has come to stay, not because we are swayed by their advances, but because we know its a necessity! The haters should deal with it! cool

Politics › Re: Ezekwesili Allegation: ICPC Arrests Publisher, National Accord Newspaper by takedat(m):
Thought we are past the era of political victimisation against perceived enemies and witch-hunting. Did ICPC just received a petition against Oby or an attempt to frame her up, after she publicly humiliated this government by demanding for accountability in governance? Is this government being overly critical and intolerant to public criticism, thereby resorting into bullish politics to silence critics? Hope it is not a surreptitious tactics employed to stymie Oby, reminiscent of the Abacha and OBJ regimes!

Foreign Affairs › Re: Fallout Of Fuel Subsidy Removal In Ghana:No Propaganda, No Riots,No Occupy Ghana by takedat(m):
Sincere 9gerian: Budgets are estimates and circumstances may warrant spending more than what was budgeted, especially in a very volatile oil sector. Since 1999, the budget for fuel subsidy has NEVER rhymed with the eventual expenditure at the end of the year. In 2006, nothing was budgeted for fuel subsidy but the govt ended up spending over N200billion by year end on subsidy. If N2trillion was spent on subsidy without appropriation, the expenditure could be termed illegal if we follow the laws to the letter and not "mis-allocation". The term mis-allocation, implies the funds was used for other purpose.

As for the Lagos state govt, if Nigeria is corrupt and Lagos is part of Nigeria, then the Lagos state govt must be corrupt too. That they've not been caught by the EFCC or ICPC does not mean they'r clean. After all not all armed robbers have been caught
What exactly are you on about? Yes, since 1999 the amount budgeted for fuel subsidies did not equal the amount spent at the end of each year, but supplementary budget appropriations to balance up the subsidies account were announced/passed within the year. That Never happened in 2011! There was budgetary provision for fuel subsidy in 2006, N75billion from FG and another N75billion from state and local governments making N150billion! Stop confusing yourself with the term "misallocation of public funds", it does not necessarily mean faulty allocation. Monies not appropriated/allocated but spent can also be called misallocation/ misuse/ misappropriation of public funds! The bottom line is government gave out public funds to private sharks which led to massive fraud! The reason why the removal was a complete success in Ghana and why there was so much resistance in Nigeria is because, the trust deficit index of Nigerian leaders is high, that the best of government's intentions are always misconstrued!

On LASG na you sabi, I have said my piece on that!
Foreign Affairs › Re: Fallout Of Fuel Subsidy Removal In Ghana:No Propaganda, No Riots,No Occupy Ghana by takedat(m): 12:18pm On Mar 05, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: You stated that "N2trillion was mis-allocated". This is how you guys shamelessly lie. N2trillion was mis-allocated yet you bought fuel for subsidized price of N65 per litre all thru 2011? Didn't you buy fuel for N65 in 2011? How did the fuel you bought at N65 in 2011 arrive? That some of the subsidy money was stolen does not mean the whole N2trillion was stolen or mis-allocated. There should be honour even among liars?

The corruption problem you complained of also exist in Ghana though not of the magnitude we see in Nigeria because Ghana was not an oil producing country until recently. The corruption that exist in Nigeria also exist in the Lagos state govt that you PRAISE TO HIGH HEAVENS. Or is Lagos not part of Nigeria?
You can continue serving your delicacies of lies to yourself and fellow brown nosers. I am beholden to no one and I do not sing for my supper! If N240billion was allocated for subsidies and government ended up spending almost 10x of that, isn't that "Misallocation" of public funds?
so because fuel was easily accessible, it then gives the government a leverage to pay for products not imported and overpay those imported? So the large scale and mindless looting of our treasury shouldn't be a source of concern to Nigerians because fuel was in abundance as at that time? It explains the loss and disappearance of honesty in you!

If Fashola or any of the officials of LASG is found to have corrupted him or herself, isn't it the responsibility of the Federal controlled EFCC and ICPC to bring any found culpable to book? It has become abundantly clear that GEJ is not the one to sweep Nigeria clean!

Lastly, I'll like you to show any of my posts where I have excessively praised Fashola cos I know I have at certain times commended Jonathan!
Foreign Affairs › Re: Fallout Of Fuel Subsidy Removal In Ghana:No Propaganda, No Riots,No Occupy Ghana by takedat(m): 10:31am On Mar 05, 2013
It is very easy for pro-government crusaders, toadies and media managers to blame everyone else except their benefactor, even as we have a government that is pathologically incapable of taking responsibility of her actions! You blame the opposition, activists and concerned Nigerians for resisting an attempt to hike fuel price, but see nothing wrong in a government that misallocated over N2trillion, more than half of a year's budget! You should ask the Ghanaians if their government granted licenses and gave out allocations to briefcase companies, cronies and runs a system that is permeable to fraud, and marred with irregularities in the management of subsidy funds! The basis for comparison should be centred on the attitude of respective governments and the perception of their citizens towards them!
Politics › Re: APC Logo And Flag by takedat(m): 8:35am On Mar 05, 2013
The proponents of "there is a PDP in all of us" dictum are right after all. At a time when we should all be encouraging the new party, even if we are not swayed by their advances but for the need of having a two-party strong democracy, rather most have resorted to mundane and cheap criticism of a party logo borne out of narrow clannish sentiment and resentment, apathy, and pernicious cynicism! We should stop condemning PDP cos that is what we all are, a bunch of petty and confused people!
Politics › Re: Obasanjo, Cause Of Yoruba Marginalisation – Alaafin by takedat(m): 7:02am On Mar 05, 2013
I am on the side of Iku Baba Yeye on this. OBJ during his presidency did nothing for the SW, rather he enthroned crooks, pilferers, the most defective and least-able men as governors and law makers with his garrison-styled politics. The elders complaining of SW being excised from GEJ's government are those who have lost out at home, and are trying to whip up sentiments in order to win concessions at the center!
Politics › Re: APC Logo And Flag by takedat(m):
Afam4eva: It becomes my headache if this party is the alternate to PDP. if they can get a simply logo right then it means they're not likely to get anything right.
Petty and fussy reasons/excuses from a vainglorious, self absorbed creep! You surely know more than the movers of the party who settled for this particular one! What good has the logo of PDP done to reduce the sufferings of Nigerians? Like the good fortunes of a party lies in how beautiful their logo is!
Politics › Re: APC Logo And Flag by takedat(m): 1:07am On Mar 05, 2013
Afam4eva: Very ugly logo...why must broom be there...AT least if there must be broom there should be packer. They should park whatever they sweep cos if they don't breeze will blow the dirt away.
Does having a beautiful logo guarantee followership or is it a prerequisite for good governance? Your attempt to ridicule and besmirch the party logo is poor!
