warrior01: just imagine what this nonentity wrote here. you guys are just patheticAn unintelligent oaf, tell your masters to refute my post. Not a pipsqueak like you! |
There is hardly a day bombs don't go off in Maiduguri, mostly not reported by the media, so today's is not an exception. The visiting governors and the host were aware of the risk, so nobody should assume it was staged. At least the governors still dared where others feared to tread! |
karl max: u mean his own propoganda media house and buttlickers weather he likes it or not NGGT is coming to lagos! Maku is coming to show nigerians the FG projects in lagos just like he did in EDO state without the governor.some people are tired of hearing and reading the propoganda from journalists of the STATE controlled media. And what do we call the journalists from government propaganda dispensers ie FRCN and NTA, who are part of the tour and the 120 lackeys? Did Fashola stop them from coming? They are welcome, as long as they are footing the bill! |
karl max: Wed, 27/02/2013 - 6:42pmWhy does he need some excursionists, when he is already inspecting the project sites with journalists from the state controlled media and other independent media houses? Does an elected governor need a minister to validate his project/performance? GGT is a scam! |
The Nest of Killers trying to stymie the opposition with terror! God pass una!!! |
lacasa: Let them go anϑ assess Patience jonathan's 4bn mission house firstOr the N16billion VP residence ![]() |
thelastPope: The mistake many critics made is that they ignorantly thought that power generation was the only problem with power so they kept making silly arguments about power generation figures. Some started talking about Nigeria needing 80000MW, blah, blah! Nigeria does not need that much power in the immediate as we don't have the industries yet but these industries will begin to spring up as soon as they feel tthe power is stable enough. So in the long term, yes, we will need more power generation. But what is more important now is that the power infrastruture is rehabilitated and the power being generated is evacuated to consumers. Transmission lines, sub stations, etc, needs to be fixed and new ones installed to ensure stable power. Hopefully, most of the work will be done this year.We don hear you! |
The mention of APC unsettles the President and PDP, so I can understand the hypercritical and uncharitable remarks, lies, judgementalism and personal insecurities of the PDP supporters, especially the clannish ones! Good move by the APC governors! |
Sincere 9gerian: Good development. Progress made in Lagos is progress made by Nigeria. I commend the governor for taking steps to reduce the debt burden of the state.Impressive!!! |
Omexonomy: . And they will insult you if you try to tell them the truth e.g earthgreaners tak dat musiwa gbawe seanate07. And if you insult them back the moderators will ban you for 2 months. Is freedom of opinion a crime? Not being a GEJ fawner does not mean I am unaware of the considerable stride, especially in the power sector! Muddleheaded OmexoMORON! |
eaglechild: Never knew Lagos was an independent country inside Nigeria. Why kick up a fuss over nothing? Isn't the positive ratings of the country and Lagos, worth commending? Be easy mang! Kudos to Fash! |
Their claim of losing a N100billion daily, is a barefaced lie. The state and local governments are also losing money with the closure, so it isn't a case of the marketers at loss only. The marketers should immediately commence the clean-up of the market, and after that, the market association can engage the state government! |
After allowing Okupe and Abati to usurp him, Maku is trying to usurp states commissioners for information. Nigerians do not need some excursionists to know a performing government! |
Waiting for the adulators, who listed Fitch's credit rating of Nigeria, from stable to positive as an achievement of GEJ, to also congratulate Fashola! |
lekeodumuyiwa: I think our people should be careful about their comments on the merger. What is the essence of a political party that has been in power for 14 years and cannot provide basic amenities for humanity unlike what we see in the western world.A merger of the opposition political parties is not a bad idea. But am surprised that most of the commentators on this platform whom i think should know better that nothing good can come out the present arrangement led by PDP speaks like a person suffering from fungi infested mind. There must be alternatives to everything in life. Therefore those that did not understand whats development, qualitative good life and provisions of other infrastrures will always condemn the merger and bring saints from heaven to come and remake the political process and constitutional democracy.Nice post! The problem I have with some of the supposed enlightened commentators, is that their eyes are only on 2015 and are blinded to the advantages of having an alternative party with almost the same strength as PDP. Though some are against it for clannish and ungodly religious reasons. The other group who are the politically unattached are waiting for an angel to come take over the entire political space, forgetting that no political party is made of saints anywhere! Nigerians should be wise enough to take advantage of this opportunity that will lead to competition of ideas and choice! We cannot throw the baby away with the bath water simply because a few unscrupulous elements are among them. If we cannot form our own political party, it is best we rally behind the new one that needs our support by making demands which the ruling party cannot offer to us! |
Akpan107: It has failed already... APC is not to the interest of Nigerians, but a sectional and a tribal interest. PDP remain the only National Party in Nigeria! If you want to form a party that would be accepted by all Nigerians, form National one and not a regional party. APC will never see the light of the day. What have we benefited from the ruling "national party"? How will APC become a national party when all we do is to be a critic outside of the arena without getting politically involved? If we truly want an alternative party to PDP, we should be ready to take over the political space, and this is an opening for us to make demands from the new party, if truly what we desire is a change! |
The merchants of doom, hate speech dispensers, bigots, armchair critics and spectocrats who wants the best but sees the worst in the entire political process and participants, those who have the solution to all the problems bedevilling the country but do nothing about them. The aforementioned are the ones who are tired of PDP but remain politically docile while waiting for a party made of saints and perfectionists to challenge and wrestle power from PDP. Instead of them to show support for the alternative party which will make PDP take Nigerians seriously between now and the next elections, their job is to condemn the alternative, which will make the words of an erstwhile PDP chairman, that PDP will rule Nigeria for 60 years either for good or bad because he knows that Nigerians only pay lip service to change! |
okosodo: Nigerians should not trust anything that comes from buhari and tinubu. They are worse than jonathan. Lets look 4 another alianceAnyone suggestion in mind? Or is it a Jonathan and Anenih? |
There is a hope of a new vista if these two can put their individual aspirations aside! It is only when we have a party in might as the PDP, that would make PDP re-evaluate its place in the sociopolitical life of the people! |
How come none of the known mainstream media outlets is reporting this, except Omokri's? Most likely another trash making the home page! |
GGT is a scam!!! |

It is good to see some serious work going on. I applaud the various state governors and the FG, that even in the face of their theivery, they still have some projects to show! I do not believe we need a good governance tour before Nigerians know their leaders are working, when a government begins to blow its own trumpet, it shows they are lacking in a band! |
yokiti: Igbayi laaro; ti arugbo sunkun oge. Anyway, better late than never. He should get his attorneys ready for the legal battle as regards the constitutionality of His action. That is another angle you just added, we do not know if it is unconstitutional for the president to assent the appropriation bill, after 30 days of its presentation or re-present it to the national assembly? I guess they would have consulted some legal luminaries before taking this decision! Just hope we don't fall into a possible constitutional crisis, because of the greed and self serving interest of our unscrupulous law makers and the wanton profligacy of our executive! |
At last! After all the wheeling, padding and dealings of the appropriation between the executive and legislature, the budget has been assented to! I hope the budget will have a positive ripple effect on the populace, and not be carted away by the ever-swelling cult of looters in the public service! Hope we have up to a 80% budget performance, especially the capital expenditure! We have to put a stop to this democracy of profligacy and outright treasury looting! |
HNosegbe: When Fashola tries to clean up Lagos so that we can at least see a semblance of order, some myopic goons will begin to accuse him of tribalism.Incisive comment! |
Gbawe: We know you are a crybaby. It won't be long before you are shedding rivers of tears. He is soon to get a dose of his own medicine! |
thelastPope: I believe you are intelligent but you always fall short in your political analysis. In politics, there is always the need to balance the fight between keeping your party in power and doing what is right for yourr country. Sometimes, in the pursuit of fulfilling your mandate, you must make alliances with people who might even seem detrimental to your cause. Examples are Fashola clinging to Tinubu, Obaa clinging to Bil Clinton, Osiomole clinging to Anenih to win his court case and later dumping hi to allign with the Oba to free himself from Anenih's overbearing influence. We can go on and on.So because my analysis are sometimes anti-PDP, thus I do not have the political acumen that you possess? Clown! While I agree that there is the need to have a thorough understanding of interpersonal and political dynamics that a political structure creates, I am yet to see how his choice of Anenih, an old thief whose political profile seem to be dwindling as his best choice in the bid to establish his foothold. The mistake Jonathan and his adulators like yourself make is that, he(GEJ) believes his emergence as the president is through some powerbrokers and as such relies on them, and his adulators are not bothered about the negative impression his association with these abhorred men of yesterday creates. While GEJ seem to be gaining grounds in PDP, he is losing it with the electorate! Most Nigerians wanted a paradigm shift from the past but GEJ dwells on the past inglorious elements! I am not joining issues with you on APC or the north! |
iykak47: Good, next time think before you start premature celebration against Gej.Why, because he is God or because he is a president whose desperation and self serving interest would make him fraternise with thieves, poker faced conmen and handpick an old crook as Board of Thieves chairman? |
iykak47: ''Gej is clueless, d'aft, dull'' but the guy keep having his way. Underrate any Nigerian president at your own peril. When it was first falsely reported that Ahmadu Ali(Obj's man) has emerged as pdp bot chairman you said Obj 1 Gej 0. With this new report bros pls what is the scoreline? I dey laughIf this is going to make your day, the new scoreline is: GEJ 1 Nigeria 0. Are we to gloat over the troubling knowledge that the president handpicked an unrepentant bandit and a super dead brain who once spilled undemocratic nonsense in support of OBJ's tenure elongation as the Board of Thieves chairman? Even with the magnitude of exploitation and oppression, some still see this news as a good thing! The folly of 200million mumu's! |
@Sincere9gerian, did I manufacture the news on Ali's appointment as chairman or I spiced up what was reported with a bit of truth, humor and sarcasm? The truth still remains that PDP is made of charlatans, liars, duplicitious and cruel politicians. The "handpicking" of Anenih, a political jobber whose history in public service is steeped in corruption by a party that prides itself as the biggest ruling party with internal democracy is a National disgrace and a shame to GEJ who wants to retain power by hook or crook! Since I know you as a stockholm syndrome defender of the status quo, I dare not say I am surprised by your antics! |
