pocohantas: They survive fine. My man is about 6'4 and whenever I want to buy him things, I have to ask a lot of questions. The length of the shirt and pants in inches. Some vendors are not patient enough to answer, I move to the next one. Shoe size is 47. He only flies business on local airlines except he wants to come out of the flight crippled.
I like it a lot because we look good when we step out. People would just be looking as he is opening doors for me. He isn't slim either. Tell them that you are short to complete the story. |

Postinor: wow, how do you walk around short people, especially when people start calling you 'dogo'which means tallest,it is very annoying Walking around people is not a problem. What is actually challenging is where to hold short people when you hug them. |
Nairaland General › Re: Tall People How Do You Survive by Tallesty1(m): 10:08pm On Dec 07, 2023 |
Postinor: I am 6'3 in height and I am 19 yrs of age,I usually feel too tall when I walk around my age mates and what makes me feel insecure the most is when people start saying that I am long, tall people out there how do you survive,I also hate it when people stare at my height when I am walking in the street because I am the kind of person that likes being conspicuous and unseen,at times I just wish I wasn't so tall, so I would like to know at what age does one stop growing in height I am taller than you and I'm fine. Once I went to the market to buy trousers and the guy I entered his shop didn't have my lenght so he started going to other shops to bring trousers; no shop had my lenght. Soon, shop owners started coming to see who the person is. Dude it was embarrassing initially but pride creeped in from nowhere and I felt great. Ceiling fans are still my enemy and I don hit my head on things to the extent that I no longer feel any pain when I do. Let's not forget the fact that I can't sit just anywhere in public transports because of my legs. I'm giving you relatable experiences so you will know that you're not alone so be proud of your height. |

Which bank?
There's an equal number of male and female bankers, and sometimes there are more males. The only strange thing I've observed in First Bank is the consistent resemblance among female employees. Regardless of the branch or state, you'll find someone who looks like a person from a previous branch you visited |

tsdarkside: obi would not be better....
dont forget nigeria is surrounded by enemies in every direction.... people like you think only economics.... people like us think security....
if we hadnt changed the direction nigeria was headin, things would have been much more crazy than now.... when jonathan was in charge, nigeria was hirin foreighn mescinaries....
have you forgotin that soo soon....?? do you think obi would have had the balls to end subsidy....?? we were borrowin to pay only salaries....salaries....!!
noo,you cant convince people like me that any other party would have done better.... I don't want to convince you or anyone like you, I state facts and move on. I just gave you an example of how he curbed wastefulness as a governor. You can chose to believe whatever suits you. it is your first human right. |

tsdarkside: that too....
this kind leaders nigeria has is realy disturbin....
its like they dont care.... and nobody should tell me obi would be better....that will realy piss me off....
they all have no idea.... Nigeria has over 21.37 metric tons of gold reserves worth over $1 billion. The country has been increasing its gold reserves in recent years, seeking to boost its foreign exchange reserves and reduce its reliance on oil exports
apc is tryin....but the problems is too many.... we should have been plannin since the 80s.... How is APC trying? What exactly have they done better? Before 2023, everyone believed that Nigeria needed a leader without godfathers, a son of nobody, to reposition itself. However, when that son of nobody emerged, those benefiting from our struggles manipulated us to fight against him because they wanted to maintain the status quo. Obi would have been a better choice; he would have approached things differently and certainly wouldn't have been so wasteful. Watch this clip if you doubt me: https://x.com/urchilla01/status/1731259595304157197?s=20You will see how he curbed wastefulness. Everyone liked him until he aimed to make changes that affected their interests.

Especially my early Morning regular of Pap. You can, depending on how or what you take it with. If I am taking pap with fried something, ensure the thing is very tasty. It covers up for the sugar. I use honey or coconut for garri. |

Last I checked, a sachet of water in Cameroon was 50CFA. That's like 85 Naira.
Fuel was 730CFA or so per liter. That's like 1,240 Naira or so. I calculate by minimum wages not exchange rates. |

Nazgul: You're absolutely right...Nigeria wasn't structured to work.
The north that dominated leadership for over 3 decades, what did they do with it, aside enriching a handful of their inner circle cronies, their region still remains a shit hole.
Democracy came for the second time in 1999, and APC told us in 2015 that they can do a much better job than the crap PDP has been doing. They came on board in 2015 and the standard of a average Nigerian began to deteriorate.
Today, we're forced to endure Tinubu's style of leadership that literally doesn't give two shits about anyone. Just looting the country dry, whilst hiring some hungry urchins to defend his actions on social media.
Go to X (formerly Twitter) and see how youths jump at anything Reno says about Igbos. Reno is in the UK, enjoying good leadership there, yet he keeps praising Tinubu's harsh policies, and tell his jobless and hungry followers that Igbos are their problems.
And his hungry and jobless followers would believe that the Igbo man who hasn't ruled this country since 1966 is the reason why Nigeria is a mess. See eh! The best gift any youth in his prime can give to himself is to exit this country for good. Nigeria can never be good. It is unfortunate. The Grill guy was passionately shouting, 'Nigeria will be great again,' so I asked him, 'What exactly is Nigeria's dream? What plans are in place that we hope will change Nigeria's future once achieved?' He disappeared. The North remained mute when Buhari was dry-humping all of us, and the Igbos who complained were labeled as haters and sons of perdition by some people, same people that sometimes went to bed on an empty stomach. Years later, Tinubu is in charge, and suddenly everyone realizes that Buhari was a disaster. If a protest were proposed today, Yorubas will back out because their brother is in power, just as Hausa people did when Buhari was there. I would likely do the same if an Igbo person eventually takes the helm. The Igbos who position themselves as the moral compass of the country annoy me. What's your business? The country is sinking, and its citizens want it to sink, so why are you trying to help? Leaving the country is not an option for the average Nigerian; that is the problem, unless one plans to move to another African country. |
