EducationRe: ASUU & FG's 2009 Agreement by tbagjames(m): 11:20pm On Oct 22, 2013
HNosegbe: The part of the agreement I don't understand is one that talks about FG funding of state universities. That doesn't make sense to me - why can't states fund their own universities appropriately, or design creative financing options?

Oh well, the government signed an agreement. Let them abide by it.
If my brain hasnt failed me my lecturer told us in one of our law classes that agreements can be modified by both parties. That of AS** should not be an exception. Sorry, ASUU now carries asterisk because its an offensive word to the ears .

EducationRe: Was Your Choice Of Course Influenced By Your Parents? by tbagjames(m): 4:42pm On Oct 18, 2013
twaintoy: It was almost. My mum wanted me to study law, we went to Igbinedion university okada to write the entrance exam, i was immediately given admission letter, my brother then raised an alarm that admission can never be given exactly 5minutes after writing the test, them never even finish marking the scripts wen dem dey dash us admission. My mum gave in to my brother that we should look for another school. Since she wanted benin city for me, we then went to Benson Idahosa university. when we got there, the VC told us that candidates for law has been filled up according to the speculations NUC gave them, as dem never give dem full accreditation then. My mama vex so tey my papa dey cool am down, on top this lawhuh?. VC gave us the list of courses the school was offering and he said we should go home to choose one. Immediately we got home, i just dragged my mum inside the room, and told her i wanted MASS COMMUNICATION. She later reasoned with me and said one thing, she said "its not good for parents not to give their children the opportunity to choose what they want"(course of study inclusive), we later went back to Idahosa University, i wrote the entrance exam and was given admission some months after. Now, i am a mass communication graduate, graduated 3years ago, i am now a lecturer in my state polytechnic and i love my course of study. Had it been i studied law, would have been the worst lawyer ever. This is my story. Parents, abeg make una no dey choose course of study for una children, its not the best.
no b small connection u get oo
EducationRe: Was Your Choice Of Course Influenced By Your Parents? by tbagjames(m): 4:37pm On Oct 18, 2013
It was influenced by my dad but thankfully it didnt have a negative effect on me. Wanted to do medicine bt my dad said i should do law. Part of my first term was done in science class. Initially i was incensed wen he told me i should move to art class. Thankfull my g.p is reading in quad(4 point) but there is more joy in reading law than just a nice g.p

SportsRe: Ethiopia Vs Nigeria: Player Ratings by tbagjames(m): 11:51am On Oct 14, 2013
FANS

Nigerian supporters club:
Adorned in the country's green and white apparel, they ensured they kept the hopes alive by singing and drumming all through the match
7/10

VIP
Couldn't do much as they were all state dignitaries and sat with hands to their jaw as they watched their team being beaten by the super eagles.
4/10

Ethiopian supporters club
Was much lively during the first half and roared like thunder when the antelopes scored their first goal. They soon went to sleep after the eagles equalized and notched in the winner.
5/10

CAF officials
They observed with awe as the goal bound ball was cleared off by Obuabuna, making them to wonder when and how best to implement the goal-line technology. They had a wonderful afternoon as they were silently praying for the eagles to go through.
5/10

Ethipian ladies
This is where the action attraction lies. The coaching crew of the super eagles where seen glancing over there shoulders almost all the times, looking at those beautiful faces with pointed nose. Emenike, the goal scorer had to run past all the green-white colours of the eagles fans to celebrate his goal in front of the ethiopian ladies. Words on the street is that he planned winning them over with his performance on the pitch. They kept the stadium alive, and gave the home fans viewing from their sitting room something to watch out for whenever the ball passes the sidelines for a throw-in.
10/10.
Since no Ethiopian player passed the average rating, yours sincerely has decided to make the Ethiopian ladies his official women of the match.

cheesy
all ur points were nice and rated 6/10 but that of the Ethiopian ladies been the women of the match is rated 11/10

PoliticsRe: ASUU Demanded For N3tn, Not N130bn by tbagjames(m): 11:10pm On Oct 02, 2013
When the mourner cries more than the bereived suspicion creeps in. ASUU seems more on this monetary aspect more than we the students. GEJ has plans to contest for a second term, if he doesnt meet up their agreement up till that period then no one will be willing to vote for him. I feel ASUU should extend d duration from 4 to 6 years and make do with what government if offering now. Besides, even if they build a lecture theatre that is like the taj mahal and students are not serious we will still produce poor graduates. Passing exams is not principally by the structure but by the student's determination

DonColz1: If only ASUU can put nigerian labour congress (NLC) to this strike matter, am very sure that jonathan will pay the money fast fast., he has the money, he is just giving it to those militants to be buying jet and yatch, instead of that money to be invested in things that can move the country forward, later he would say that nigeria has no money, that is rubbish.
do u know of any militant he bought a private jer or a yatch for?
