How did you dominate in education, trade and commerce

Last I checked, southwest is the education giant of Nigeria?
Or you think it is by jamb miracle centers? Even with your miracle centers, Yorubas still dominate the list every year. Stop claiming other people’s glory
How did you dominate trade and commerce when ogun state IGR alone is bigger than the entire Southeast region
Oyo is two times that if Anambra. Or where do you think IGR come from?
This chest beating must stop. If you think you are special, others are special too

The only glory I can give you is export and import and trade of spare parts
Oga, where did you check? What makes SW the educational giant? The SW has a much higher percentage of out of school kids. Please verify before disgracing yourself.
Also IGR is not a sign of individual income. Ogun state has high IGR and yet a very high poverty rate. Ondo state has a much lower IGR and one of the lowest poverty rates.

Far ahead in which indices

Statistics of poor people per state doesn’t can easily be flawed.

What you can use to determine is IGR

And in every indices, southeast is the poorest in the south and second poorest in Nigeria
IGR tells you nothing about poverty.
Now let me teach you.
A gov can impose higher taxation on his people, this doesn't mean his people are richer. Also, a state may have more registered companies this still does not mean that it's people are richer. When you talk of poverty, we look at individuals and households and not how much the state derived from IGR.
Do you understand it now?

What of the poor igbos in Lagos, ogun state and Ibadan?

Stop all this chest beating…
With all the noise, no Igbo is among the richest billionaires in Nigeria
Only a fool would boast of the number of billionaires from his tribe when most of his people are living below the poverty level.
You are right though, with 49% of the SE living in poverty, there is nothing to boast about.

We need proper census to know the situation of things in Nigeria.

The only data I take seriously in this country now are IGR, petroleum products consumption and crimes. Those figures are accurately recorded.

On the flip side, unemployment, GDP per state, and poverty figures can be doctored or calculated based off of estimates.

We cannot keep running a country on hypocrisy. It will take us nowhere.
You sit in your home and decide which data is accurate and which is not.

It's the reality of how the sampling size used in the majority tribes like Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani that I find concerning.

The population of the South East is the least so the sampling in relation to SW and NW may not be fair. If you sample 10 people out of 20 and take same size of 10 people among 50 people, the probability is higher in the population that is lower but I know you can then use statistical tools to test and analyse the variations which I am aware is still based on statistical assumptions.

It is either the NW and SW group data are faulty or that of the SE is faulty because both groups are at the opposite poles with SE being the least populated zone while NW/SW are the most populated geopolitical zones. I will not even bother go to the apparent asymmetry in having the SE's data in this report with the reality in SE at a time Igboland is having long days of political sit at home days and massive emigration of SEterners to other zones further increasing the chances of reduced population of SE. Check my signature for free stuffs!
You have not even provided the sampling that was used but somehow, you have a problem with it.

*Which of these temptations is hard for you to resist?
*How are you able to overcome them?

I have been able to stop drinking and pride by disassociating myself from useless friends.
Matthew 5:30 says
If your hand or your foot causes you to sin cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away.

Jesus uses two graphic metaphors—it is better for disciples to pluck out their eyes and cut off their hands—as a way to memorably express an important truth. It is better to deny yourself in this life for His sake than to miss living life in His kingdom and enjoying its incredible benefits.
You made this post to show us that you are a good person who does not drink and who is humble. And somehow you feel you have overcome pride.

It's so funny that the war end over 50 years ago, most of you were not born but all of you are pretending to be grieved.
Look the new generation should stop thinking like their fathers.
Note, it was a war between the federal government and the Biafran rebels. The mid west was under the federal government when Biafra invaded.
The mid west was not an independent country on its own as you claim.

99% of the companies you listed are either American or European family owned businesses. I challenge you to name just 5 family owned businesses that are in their third generation now
Actually Africans have much stronger family unity than Europeans.
Again, it's very hard to name many African business in it's 3rd generation remember, most of Africa was under colonial rule just 60 years ago so you don't have a strong case. But I can name you many businesses in their second generation.

Restrict your analysis to Nigeria where even your brother, wife, sister, is ready to finish the business by stealing from the business
There is no county in the world where 95% of the people are honest. I think you need to travel. The formal president of US is facing multiple charges. The present one is suspected of corruption with his son. Oga stop living in a movie. Humans are basically the same.
What would you say about the Dantata's. Allen Oyema of Airpeace has is entire family in his business. Fela involved his kids in his music. I know at least 2 hospitals run by father and children in Nigeria. So my oga please do your research.

I owe you an apology. My answer was quite arrogant.
Also let me commend you for you question. It maybe the single most important question that all Nigerians need to ask.
But then, I was not wrong. Would you ask a question about Newton's law of motion to your Yoruba teacher? No. You would rather ask your physics teacher.
I also commend you determination. You stay up reading and analyzing responses. But then, imagine spending the same energy on the right source of information.
Your question is not meant for everyone. Only those who have overcome poverty can show you the path.
I would love to reach out to you in a month from now to see how far you have gone on your journey to overcoming poverty. I wish you the best and I hope you never fall by the way or give up in your pursuit of wealth.
Please ignore all my initial responses and once again accept my apology.

Just stay away from a religion who doesn't even interfere with yours....
