William Tynsdale is recorded to have done more to put scripture into the hands of common man than Martin Luther who came after him. Martin Luther, on careful examination, is instead revealed as a man who wanted some of the power and glory in the hands of the Catholic church for himself. And this can be seen from the fact that Martin Luther himself went on to condemn and even see punished others who attempted to free minds from the catholic church just as he did. undecided

Most of the doctrines you practice today in your churches are still rooted in catholic doctrines some going back about 1700 years. undecided

Nothing suggesting for you a new role model as it is against Jesus Christ to have those to begin with - Matthew 23 vs 1 - 4
The very bible you use today is traced to the Catholic Church. It was put together 400 years after Christ.
Think of it, every scripture you have ever read came from the Catholic Church. They decided to create a 27 book new testament out of the so many records of the Apostles..
You can't tell what was added or removed.
So it's either you trust the Catholic church completely or you find an alternative to your bible.

Catholicism can't be that same religion the early church practice huh
That's the point. Let's assume you are right. Yet the bible as we know it was collected and abridged by them. The Catholics decided what got into the bible. they decided to make the new testament 27 books even though many more books were written by the apostles. So if you think they are really of the devil how come you are comfortable believing their bible.
That's the point I am making. We criticize the Catholics but we somehow believe they did right with the bible. Somehow, you believe the Catholics were right in omitting so many books from the bible

You see there's difference in composing the Bible and compiling it. The Catholic didn't write the bible. There was a time they hid the bible from the masses and they were able to spread their lies.

If you don't believe in Trinity, you can't believe Mary as the mother of God.
They have done more harm than good to Christianity.
The first apostles and early church didn't believe in hell fire as a place of suffering after death. Paul, Peter and others didn't preach and warn people about hell.
You are right, they did not write the bible but they decided what books should be in the bible as we know it today. Remember, there were so many books but the Catholics decided to bring some together and give us the bible as we know it now.
And I would love to have this discussion with you about hell

I noticed one of your JW brothers asking you to be careful of me and I laugh. He might be right though. I would always tell you my opinion even when it's against your religion.
I would ask you questions and if you are a fanatic, you would end up hating me like that your brother.
I would continually ask you to prove your point from the Bible.
I see you after a few debates getting to hate me like that your brother.

see, this is very simple. when you come out and tell others that they are false and only you have a monopoly of the truth, I guess they are entitled to ask you questions. And you don't end up hating them when you cant answer.
Let me give you an example. One of your people openly called the catholic church the church of the devil. I then reminded him that the bible he uses and believes was put together by the Catholics and the devil is not capable of any good thing so If you call the Catholics to question, you also have to call their bible to question. Your brother went totally crazy because of this. i had to leave him alone for his own good.

If someone drinks in moderation don't criticize.
And if you can't control yourself, stop drinking.
I don't drink alcohol myself. But i love and drink chilled palm wine moderately.
I am not criticizing. I am just saying that it's impossible to decide what is moderate for your body. There is not really a very scientific way to measure what constitutes as moderate alcohol intake. For all you know, I might be a drunk. It's not about my personal beliefs or lifestyle but the science behind drinking.

If you believe it's ok to use the constituents of blood then when are JW against the use of red and white blood cells. Blood is basically a mixture of many things. You claim God asked you to abstain but you comfortably use constituents of blood. Did God say that you can use plasma but not red blood cells? We all know that the manmade commandment is not sustainable. I guess it's easy for people with poor science education to believe funny stuff.

You talk as if you don't believe in God.

God commanded them to avoid eating or drinking or consuming blood in any form. Likewise he said they shouldn't eat meat without draining so as to avoid consuming of blood. So if they drained the blood out they are free to eat.
My question is; wasn't God aware then that if they drained the meat, there would still be some blood left in some internal organs?

Perhaps you don't know that your proving God as not all knowing and senseless cos of your indefinite ranting about the amount of blood left in the meat and claiming that despite draining we still eat blood.
Na you go give us standard abi God?
God was clear bout it. Eat meat after draining, that's the standard. Whether blood remain in the vein or not, it doesn't matter.

But intentionally taking another person's blood into your body by transfusion is not different from eating or drinking or consuming it.

The law is mainly bout blood. So to avoid consuming blood from meat, it's to be drained. Naso the bible put am no be me.

Why would God say he hates planting different crops in a row or joining linen and wool together?
There are some things God sees as abominable that we take as normal.

You have your view and JWs have theirs but you don't need to condemn their view.
Judge yourself between JWs and other christians, which of their belief on blood transfusion obeys God's law of abstaining from blood?
I believe in God but I dont believe in men's poorly thought out laws. You say, But intentionally taking another person's blood into your body by transfusion is not different from eating or drinking or consuming it. How about intentionally consuming meat when you know it contains at least 5% blood.

You are the one talking like you know more than God. He said to drain blood from the meat. He never spoke about transfusion. The reason you gave for refusing transfusion is equally found in eating meat. It's that simple. you act as you know more than God. I never condemn anyone I just challenged their opinion. You cant be eating meat, liver, and receiving fractionated plasma then claiming blood transfusion is any different. Pure hypocrisy. I also don't think we have to interpret for God. All his commandments are 100%. If its not clearly stated, then its not God's commandment.

pls if your comments would be against this post, ensure to reference verses from the Bible to back it up

How Should Christians View Alcohol?
Around the world, people have different opinions about alcohol. Some enjoy sharing an occasional drink with friends. Others choose not to drink at all. Still others drink to the point of getting drunk. What is the Bible’s view of alcohol?
1. Is it wrong to drink alcoholic beverages? The Bible does not condemn drinking alcohol. On the contrary, when listing many gifts that God has given us, the Bible includes “wine that makes man’s heart rejoice.” (Psalm 104:14, 15) Some faithful men and women mentioned in the Bible drank alcoholic beverages.—1 Timothy 5:23.
23 Do not drink water any longer, but take a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent cases of sickness.
Have you noticed that many Christians are comfortable with Alcohol but they have issues with tobacco and Cannabis? How do we reconcile this?

The procedure is simple, drain the blood of the animals before eating, avoid eating strangled one. God is okay with that since most of the blood has been drained.

[11]for the life of the body is in its blood. I have given you the blood on the altar to purify you, making you right with the lord. It is the blood, given in exchange for a life, that makes purification possible.
[12]That is why I have said to the people of Israel, ‘You must never eat or drink blood—neither you nor the foreigners living among you.’
[13]“And if any native Israelite or foreigner living among you goes hunting and kills an animal or bird that is approved for eating, he must drain its blood and cover it with earth.
[14]The life of every creature is in its blood. That is why I have said to the people of Israel, ‘You must never eat or drink blood, for the life of any creature is in its blood.’ So whoever consumes blood will be cut off from the community.

Leviticus 19:26
[26]“Do not eat meat that has not been drained of its blood.“

Acts of the Apostles 15:20
[20]Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood. [/color]

Jehovah's witnesses do not believe in blood transfusion but they accept unfractionated plasma which is the largest component of blood. How do you reconcile the two? Like all humans, they also have to stay alive even if they have to twist their laws

In your words, God is okay with that since most of the blood has been drained. Its a bit funny to me. You seem to be saying that it's no longer about taking in blood but the amount you take in. So if I may ask, what is the specified amount of blood that we can consume?
Let's get serious here, the only thing God spoke about is eating blood. Neither of us has a right to add. When we add, it gets confusing and we end up making a fool of ourselves with our facts got wrong.
Before I educated you about the quantity of blood in meat, I am sure you had no idea. The laws of God are firm, clear, and direct. The cant be proved wrong by facts.

you are making my point for me. God gave a very strict law about draining blood so let's stop there why add blood transfusion? If God was against us taking up blood, he would have banned the eating of meat. Clearly, God was not against us taking blood he was only against us eating it as a meal. The only commandment we have against blood is in relationship to eating no transfusion. We don't know more than god so dont add to his words

You see, both of us agree that God commanded we bleed and drain animals before eating but It stops there. Let's not add new laws that make no sense because we only end up getting confused. If we can eat meat knowing it still has blood in it then why create a new law banning transfusion?
If God's purpose was for us not to take any blood into our body, he would have ban meat, clearly, that wasn't his purpose. We are not smarter than God.

Is God against eating of liver?
The liver holds about 1 pint (13%) of the body's blood supply at any given moment. The liver has 2 main parts (lobes).
