Whenever i put up a sharp defense for the north here on nairaland,people thinks am a northerner of probably not human.

I schooled in ABU zaria for four years and during the course of my study i got to develop so much respect for the northerners.

Crisis aftermath of the 2011 general elections in the north will forever make them a hero to me. I and my friends staying off campus were shielded by the youths from danger all tru the crisi,infact i spent my remaing 1year plus living in an adopted house. They treated me like a king. I left my hostel and wouldnt mind spending 300naira daily to go 2 class from home,just because i felt love and hospitality.

Yes the north might not be as educated as the west. But when we take a look at their number and lifestyle we would know why its that way. They believe life is just for a short period,everything is vanity even education.

Why are we celebrating Aisha Buhari?

Did she speak on the plight of average Nigerian?
Did she speak about the economy in relation to her husband's performance?
Aisha Buhari just want to be like another Stella,Turai and PEJ.

Telling the world that Buhari is working with people who she doesnt know and are strangers to Buhari is a silly statement from her.

Is she suppose to be familiar with Buhari's cabinet? His just the wife of the president and nothing backs her position constitutionaly.

Buhari already said it in his campaign that his not working with the office of a first lady,coz he knows the effect of first ladies in previous regimes and how their position was misused.

Buhari also said it that his for everybody and for nobody,hence the strange faces coming into his cabinet. He picks those he feels his comfortable with and not based on party politics.

The only reason shes not going to support her husband as she said is because her husband aint carrying her along,shes not familiar with the faces around and not because of performance. That is a very lame reason we have to agree. What happens to the effect of her husbands policies on Nigerians?

To me ,i just feel Aisha is hurt her husband aint carrying her along with governance and not that shes concerned about the plight of an average Nigerian.

So why are we celebrating her?

Though I don't support the brutal and inhuman killings of the Shi'ite sect, but those guys shouldn't be left unchecked. Their 'religious' activities have caused alot of pain and anguish to the average northerner. Most comments I read here about Shi'ite are mostly from ignorant southerners who have zero idea about the activities of those lawless guys.

I know their HQ in gyallesu{Zaria}, I have witness their firsthand madness and I know what they are capable or incapable of doing. First, the Shi'ite sect can't be a threat to the Nigeria state. Most of them are just people who just want to be silly without anybody questioning them, and some of them are in the Shi'ite sect for financial gains{Iranians money}.

The thing is, almost everybody in the north is just sick and tired of their lawlessness and that's why northerners hardly pity them when security agencies brutalizes them.

I know of different Islamic sects in the north but calling any Muslim that doesn't belong to the Shi'ite group a Sunni Muslim is ridiculous. I don't even think i know if buhari belongs to which sect or what sect elrufai belongs to. Most northerners are just plain Muslims that don't belong to any sect, but what about the Shi'ite sect; their motto is if you don't belong with us, you don't deserve to be accorded with any respect. They highly believe in their ' us verses them' theory.

I can tell you that Shi'ite is just a small % that made up the Muslims in the north. Nobody is against them; but they{Shi'ite} want to use violence to intimidate innocent northerners that just want to go about with their businesses

As a Muslim it's compelling that u be replied, there is only one Islam, there is nothing according to the traditions of the prophet and his companions SHI'A or SUNNI, they were all Muslims.
Now there are various sects that emerged over the years of which there are disagreements among them, but they still basically pray together and share the basics of the faith. The Shi'a on the other hand are a group of people whose true motives are unknown to all the other various sects, as their beliefs are completely alien to what Muslims believe, so basically to us Muslims the Shi'a isn't even a sect in Islam, they are completely out of it, they are more like a cancer that has been deliberately inserted in the mist of Muslims.
Not that I support any violent act towards them, but in most cases they are always the aggressors, intimidating and harassing anyone, acting with disregard to others rights etc, it is always a battle when they are in the midst of Muslims.
