He he he!!

That's what happens when TV is censored n filled with one-sided views or arguments...as commonly seen in the States.

I find out of a superiority complex, some people don't look beyond their noses or nostrils more like it!!!!!

I shake my head at some of the responses.

I suppose you get hypothetical solutions to hypothetical questions....

In reality, its never that straightforward!!!

@Bolded
this cracked me up I swear!!!
BTW I think its only when you sleep with a virgin that a blood convenant is made, that's inferring from this write up smiley
Hilarious but could be true, I suppose.

One cuts covenant with every bedmate....
Whether blood or not is left to be decided.

What's a little worrying is with whom one's convenanting with.
It's said that one carries around connections or attachments (spirits) from activities with previous bedmates n their concurrent previous contacts.

Now that's a lot to carry around.!!!!
Music/Radio › Re: Sade Or Adele: Whose Music Do You Prefer? by Tedpgrass: 11:05am On Oct 21, 2012
Definitely Sade........
Timeless, evergreen

Adele has got a good voice but find some of her notes rather melancholic or downright irritating.
Have to be in the mood for some of her lyrics otherwise, could get depressed.

Toaskarity: Yes! Been powerful here isnt about controling british army! Its their influence to the society.
Media play a lot on issues like this.
This forbes is of america so i dont think you expect them to put a monarchy on top.
Finally apart from british ppl and slave immigrant there lol no body else give a rat Zap about her.
You'll be surprised, she has a lot of clout than actually revealed.
She and her family generate a lot of tourism income for the UK. Their house is the most visible royal household in Europe and possibly the most celebrated ..... encouraging monarchies elsewhere to enjoy support of a society largely democratic in thinking.

Hollywood films, songs, and other literary efforts and events lend their credibility to their institution or tragedies therein.

So its more than just being a Queen and leader of the Commonwealth, having priceless possessions outside of vast estates and commissions but being the matriarch of a family that has affected social thinking profoundly. Eg. Diana saga.

******btw.... not a keen royalist ******

Turbocharged: Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Ursula Burns & Aung San Suu Kyi more POWERful than Queen Elizabeth II?
Just wondering their definition of powerful
My thoughts exactly.....
Wonder what criteria were used
Would have expected Nos 16,19,21,26,27,47,51,78,92 to be further up the list.

Would love to see a breakdown of the determinants!!!

Congrats to Ngozi!!

Romance › Re: Is It Proper To Disclose Your Earnings To Your Wife? by Tedpgrass: 7:07pm On Oct 13, 2012
The degree of spousal financial compatibility financial education or enlightenment is a determining factor....

Congruence of midterm and long-term goals is a necessary other factor.

Trust and selfless attitude is the creme de la creme.

Women are too busy looking to get money off hubbies to either show off, amass for the proverbial rainy day... ** when he changes affection to another woman** or other fairly legitimate reasons which are not necessarily appropriate.

Men as a result of the above and whilst avoiding the pain of being constantly monitored or doctored hide their earnings.
Celebrities › Re: "Godwin Okpara Turned Me In to A Sex-Slave" by Tedpgrass: 10:33am On Oct 13, 2012
I do not condone enslavement in any format......

However, I in my limited experience and passive involvement in rehabilitation and sometimes repatriation of the victims, male or female, have observed the following.

The victims are never as naive as played out in media.... there's a relative awareness of some ills that may be encountered during their sojourn in the hands of their abusers.

Secondly, there would have been opportunities to seek for help before the situation got to deplorable depths. But there would have been a reluctance to do so till either the stay is 'regularized' or some financial reward obtained.

Therein lies the deceit and passive collusion of victims............. with their abusers.
In these instances, there's a difficulty to fully empathize with the victims as they have turned into manipulative, passive aggressors.

A good simple example is a wife who is aware of her husband's anger issues and raises a silly argument simply to agitate him resulting in physical trauma and then calling the police to arrest him..... simply exploiting the law.

It's difficult to empathize with her in this scenario.....

My disclaimer above still stands btw.

Romance › Re: Does Family History Matters A Lot When Choosing Your Partner? by Tedpgrass: 5:51am On Sep 08, 2012
cowgurl: Currently in a committed relationship with a man whose dad left them @ a tender age and his sweet ma had to cater for them, all 4 of them kids.
I must confess he grew up a responsible man cos for the many years we've been together 'v had no reason to doubt that.
Yeah, u can say that again, mine is exceptional but my point is, people have lost good partners because they didn't take into cognizant their individuality. Even in relationships, we see it happen, people generalizing here and there.
Exceptions also exist when children from good homes grow up acting otherwise, will you go ahead and settle down with them because he/she is from a good home?
@topic, inasmuch that family history does matter in choosing our spouses we should't throw away their individuality.
As a matter of fact, it should come first before the former!
Totally agree..

In the bid to stay married, countless spouses live unhappy lives and are like tenants in their homes......
Will you be counting these families too as part of your "untouchables" !!!!!

Romance › Re: Cant Date A Girl That Has Been With A Guy(s) Before... by Tedpgrass: 10:38am On Sep 07, 2012
marvelck: Most guys may not fancy the idea of dating a girl that has been with a guy or enough guys before, probably in a long relationship. like when a girl has dated guy A for like two years, left him and dated another guy (Guy B) for another two years or more, before now ending up with you. How would you feel? considering the stuff she must have done with these guys while dating them. such as taking in for a guy and losing the pregnancy later, have lived before with a guy for years as a live-in-lover (even playing husband & wife), or was once engaged and already known to the family of a guy before calling off the engagement. Can you as a guy later date a girl with such a past?
When you say "most guys"...... please speak for yourself... and not make generalization.
Secondly, the girls you have "chopped": what is their fatehuh
Simply repackage and its men like you, who persistently make a claim for virgins.... not women with character, that fall prey.

Rather than wasting time airing your musings here,
why don't you stop fornicating and just maybe, may readily find an under 20.... who may not tick the box re: maturity, style etc.

.......... and then, only then we would have to listen to you complain about her.

Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Doesn't Call by Tedpgrass: 1:27am On Sep 06, 2012
obowunmi: @OP: A girl broke up with me because I hardly call her. I am more of a texter than caller. I spend so much time travelling around the world and my mind hardly settles.

When she broke up with me, I wrote her many love letters and she never responded. Just like there are different types of learners, people express their love differently.

My advice: pls let her know how not calling you affects you and tell her how you feel. She might not know the impact she has on you.

If she loves you - she will take you warnings or feelings.

Please DO NOT assume anything. No one is perfect.
This is a different scenario to yours. From the tone of the conversation, there seems to be a deficiency on her part communicating..... text, call, IM,Skype etc.

2ndly, her inability to inquire after him, after a period of no communication on his part which would've been deemed unusual...............

And her lack of compassion on realising he'd been hospitalized............

DOES NOT SPEAK WELL.

I'll advice for care to be taken before walking down the aisle.

This woman can potentially abandon and leave a sick man to die..

NOT a wifey material.

This is not to do with curtailed female ambition but simply disparities in what is considered acceptable behaviour or occupation.

As a woman, how comfortable will you be, having your hubby working as a male escorthuh? Not admittedly raunchy but leaves the opportunity, nonetheless.

Romance › Re: The Laws Of Keeping A Woman by Tedpgrass: 8:20pm On Sep 01, 2012
As lovely and inspiring this may be......

Simply impracticable!!!!

Any woman standing by these rules n commandments with a heart of expectation
will visit the divorce courts severally. cry cry

Oooh!! 3 strikes and he's out!!!! huh huh
Obviously no heartfelt conversations held with mothers n grandmothers in marriages of 25yrs and above.

Forgive, forgive, forgive!!!!! is the maxim

Aaah!! Mmmm!!!
There are other 1st rate men out there to pander to your wishes
after dumping this obviously "not-1st-rate" man....
(These men prey on women like you to release a urge n move to the next mugu!!!)

****If husband was 1st rate, despite his "formings" during your courtship,
he won't treat you as he's done.****

Reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllyyyyyy
If its that easy to pick these men off the street.......
O! how sweet the sound of laughter
Ask how many single girls out there who are clearly 1st rate material,
Who are still searching for a spouse........
......Prayer point every December is....... to marry!!!! *** for past 4 yrs***

And to think, leaving a somewhat imperfect man... ?2nd rate.....
With 2-3 children and think you can ensnare a 1st rate man easily.....
is simply dining with Mr Delusion, and breakfast with Mr Depression!!!!

Young women!!!,
wake up n smell the coffee or is it guguru n epa.....
The grass ain't always greener on the other side.
Your marriage/ relationship is determined by you
not all this "Keeping up with the Kardashians" shenanigans
Determine from courtship, what you will settle for.......
Go into the marriage expecting 50-70%.....
Eases the pain of observing his shortcomings
Build him up with prayers, love and support

*********I understand and do not undermine certain instances that may require a divorce or separation or counselling... but these are not as rampant as your £5 divorces.*********

Hopefully, this forthcoming generation of couples won't have a high concentration of 2nd -3rd time divorcees..

God Hear our prayers,
Aaaaaaaaammmmmmmeeeeenn.

Btw guys.... this is no encouragement to bad behaviour.
A boy sleeps around
But a man respects himself, family and keeps his tool within.
Any animal can have s..ex.,
Only a cultured man makes l..ove.!!!

Romance › Re: Can You Marry A Single Mum With A 13 Year Old Son? by Tedpgrass: 2:45pm On Aug 31, 2012
tai2: My brother don't mind these backward people. You've already mentioned that the woman is straightforward and discussed her existing condition with you. Add that to the fact that she is mature and has career focus and is giving you what you need to know upfront. The son may not be yours but will no doubt need a father figure and there's nothing wrong in playing that role if you really intend to marry her. The son is part of the package.

There's nothing wrong with marrying such a woman as well. In fact it might help you put your life in perspective and focus. No one is perfect but at least you know what you're dealing with here and the person in question has come out open to you. She will probably be eternally grateful that you married her despite something which our people tend to view in a negative light.

Better this than you date a youngin whose only intention is having a celebrity wedding and strategizing on how to deplete your bank account with no intention of finding out how to progress in life. Maturity comes with experience and clearly this woman knows what the deal is.

Proceed with your head held high and leave people of the world abeg.
Well said.

Romance › Re: Can You Marry A Single Mum With A 13 Year Old Son? by Tedpgrass: 9:59am On Aug 31, 2012
@ Op,

I would expect there will be investment on your part, in the child if you are taking on his mother.

Putting aside the financial side of things, the emotional aspect of treating the boy as ur son for some years n vice versa will make any future parting instigated by his previously absent biological father rather difficult.... "the boy calls you father"

Except the boy stays with the grandparents whilst u n his mum make a go of things.

...... an idea that may be odious to his mum.....your intended wife
