LegalWolf:
Let me just use this opportunity to respond to your two comments,

Honestly, your comment does not hurt so deeply. I will bore you If I go ahead to detail how TenQ (for the respect I have for you, I am not insulting him on this post I promise) has deliberately misrepresented the truth. He also went ahead to forge a comment, put it in inverted comma, and attributed it to me.

His strategy is a very simple one: open a thread, mention me and all others to it, misrepresent what our scriptures say, and ridicule our faith. When we try to correct him, he lies and he is adamant as to it. Even if we stop on that thread and move on with our lives, he goes ahead to open a new thread and repeats the circle.

And since I have taken on his challenge and avoided to have any direct conversation with him (while throwing jabs from afar as I deem fit), I think he is triggered. That is my personal opinion though

On this, I agree with you. I am absolutely pleased with what I have and you are free to stick with what you have as well.

Finally, as to you, I sheathe my tongue and fully retract the last paragraph of my previous post where I said In any event, I await your response and see if it meets the benchmark of logic... .

Thank you for your time as well and do have a lovely evening!

Why would I do that?
He has been using Judges1:19 to argue that Yahweh was powerless to drive out the "God of Iron" - Ogun of the people with chariots of Iron. Every explanation has fallen on his deaf ears therefore I want to refer him to Islamic history so that he can use the same argument.

Mohammed fought a battle of Uhud and lost the Battle. In the battle, he also lost his set of front teeth.

The Question he should answer is (just like Judah) was Allah with Mohammed during this battle?

If YES : how come he lost the Battle? Is he saying that Allah is powerless?
This had been his argument since morning

If NO : It confirms that Mohammed is a false prophet.

The Question is to make him face his hypocrisy: as he is not interested in any Christian answer, he's only interested in repeating the same question endlessly.

He's been avoiding this question because, it will permanently shut his mouth.

Above is the reason!

Is the Quran spiritual?
Yes and no!

YES in the sense that it lis a satanic book that certainly would lead a person to Hell.

Qur'an 19:71-72
71. There is not one of you but shall come to it, that is, [but] shall enter hell. That is an inevitability [already] decreed by your Lord, [something which] He made inevitable and [which] He decreed; He will not waive it. 72. Then We shall deliver those that feared Allah and leave the wrong-doers there on their knees

NO in the sense that it is the Words of Mohammed feigning to be Allah.

Qur'an 69:40
because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent (honoured) messenger.

Because of this, Mohammed can abrogate verses in the Qur'an. Mutah and five times of prayer are examples.

If Allah dictated the Qur'an through Jubril to Mohammed, Allah should know that women don't produce sperm gushing from their ribs and men's sperm does not come from the backbone. Allah should know that there is no mountain in the sky from which hail stones are cut and hurled to the earth. Allah should know that the sun does not set in the murky waters. Allah should not legalise prostitution (Mutah) for Muslims and Allah should not reveal breastfeeding of adult men ten times by a woman (thanks to the tame sheep that abrogated the verses). Allah should not encourage a man to flirt with the wife of his adopted son and marry her to the detriment of Zaid. Allah then canceled adoption so that Mohammed's lust can be fulfilled.

The Qur'an is a book of contradictions. Can you imagine one verse canceling our another (abrogation).

Christianity Etc › Re: Yahweh Cannot Defeat Ogun by TenQ: 8:29pm On Nov 17, 2022
LegalWolf:
Hi Elated177,

I think the issue here stems from a different approach to religion, faith, understanding of divine being etc. Take for example, what you asked me to consider, i.e., the underlined (which do you prefer - Yhwh, Jehovah or Yhvh. I noticed you spelt it Yhvh?). I do NOT agree to that in any material respect.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no scriptural reference in my faith to back that up. In fact, what I know (and I stand to be corrected) is that we are all equal (whether anointed or not - of course, subject to God's discretion), no nation is superior to the other (and that includes the children of Israel, Arabs, Fulani, Yoruba, Kalabari etc) amongst others. That is my conception of faith. To the extent that there may be room for divergence of opinion in other other things, but as I understand it, this is what I think complies with reason!

(underlined mine)

Now your questions raise a lot of logical problems that I would want you to consider.

Granted, the creation of man and the entire universe is no mean feat that we have never seen before. So also is the explosion of human population to over 7 billion people (and Christians to over 2 billion people) as we speak today.

You will agree with me that these statistical figures above are factual and have a higher probability of being true. Then the issue is: if we hypothetically accept the view that after God created the heaven and earth and before there was man or even rain, he got tired. Hypothetically, what gives us the comfort that the same God would be able to say (for example) answer the prayers of 2 billion people not to talk of 7 billion people? Why did I say this: Just like the preceding premise (of something never done before), we have never in the history of the Universe have we had such explosion in human population and we cannot be so certain that our prayers/supplications would not wear him out.

Okay let us take our assumption a nudge further: If we accept the view that this same God became tired after working for 6 days and rested on the 7th, hypothetically, we cannot say for certain what other WORK he is doing AT PRESENT and whether he is EXHAUSTED AND RESTING AFTER SUCH WORK OR NOT

Again, I can keep building on this premise of an exhausted God to construct as many bizzare examples and each will be logically sound. And even our understanding of the creator never getting tired or weak would be a ruse, don't you think?

On the question of 'Do you believe that the God spoken of in that portion of the Scripture is the same one that you worship?' This is an interesting topic that will divert our attention. Not just that, it will distract from the post about genesis or on the thread in particular. However, the core point I will just draw your attention to is that there exists some convincing literature which suggests that Yhwh may have been interchanged for the jewish name of God at some point in Israel's history. (In fact, the name Israel indicates he who perseveres with God not Yhwh). There is even a whole lot of academic commentary on Genesis 32: 8 - 9.

Let me give you a similitude. I was watching Professor Wole Soyinka on Youtube the other day saying that when the missionaries came to Yorubaland, they deliberately (I will say mischievously) converted a God of the Yoruba pantheon (Esu) into Satan. These are not my words byt Prof Soyinka in case you dispute it. In fact, in Yorubaland today, many people call Satan "Esu". But Esu is completely different from Satan. If, hypothetically, X from Bahia (brazil) worships Esu, it does not follow that he worships Satan and vice versa. The fact that the picture that comes to mind when Esu is uttered in Yoruba language is Satan does not mean they are the same thing.

Again, I do not intend to go into this in details as it would change the trajectory of our conversation substantially. I think you should have gotten my drift from my explanation by now in relation to your question.

You can let me know if you need further clarification or what not. Cheers and enjoy your evening as it comes.

You've been taggin' me a lot and i keep mute not because i don't have reasons, but you are using undenify ways to win an arguments. Cause you are not ready to understand.

...And mind you everything we did in islam has a reason for doing it.
Hello my brother!
I wasn't trying to win arguments otherwise, I would have kept my evidences as jokers. Some of what I speak of about Islam are products Muslims themselves don't bother asking questions about. I read several books by Ahmed Deedat then and he tore down every little knowledge I had about Christianity. I almost recited the shahada in my 200L until I decided to read the "Glorious Qur'an" an English translation of the Qur'an. Of course, I started from Surat-ul Al-Fathia and began to read on.

I began to see differences in narratives of prophets of Islam with the bible. I didn't have any problem with if the Qur'an contradicted the New testament BUT I had issues with if the Qur'an ALSO contradicted the Old Testament. I have read the English translation of the Tanakh (the scripture of the Jews) and see no difference with the Old Testament of the Christians. My logic was that it was impossible for Jews and Christians to conspire together to change their scripture. I was shocked that the Qur'an states equivocally that Jesus was not crucified not did He die on the cross (even secular historians are unanimous on this). Finally, My state library had a huge collection of Hadiths and me being a bookworm then began to read... learning about the Religion of Islam.

As Muslims, you take many things for granted and therefore DO NOT ask QUESTIONS! However, as a SEEKING person, I had to ask many questions (both about Christianity AND Islam) : and the answers has to be reasonable.

So, I ask questions because I wish Muslims will ask the same questions and profar logical and coherent answers consistent with both faith and reason.

If you note carefully, I rarely use evidences outside the literatures of Muslims and Science (if need be) to justify my assertions.

Now my friend:

QUESTIONS:

1. Why did Mohammed kiss it?
2. Why is the Blackstone in the Kaaba?
3. Can Muslims explain on the contrary why the black stone may not be equivalent to Magical Charms of Idolaters ?

LOL! This is how you draw non-textual interpretation to a very simple verse. And mind you: all these explanations you are given me over a very simple verse, would you have done the same if the case were reverse? Would you have accepted my explanation ? Anyways what you claimed is not true for various reasons I will give below:

Firstly, like I have said, the word se-bath is translated in many bible translations as rest. And as I have rightly pointed out to you, resting connotes ceasing from something in order to regain strength. You only want to regain strength when you lost it. Let me paraphrase one of my pretty christian acquaintance: this points to one thing - 80% of the time, people regain strength only when they have lost it. ONLY when they are tired!

Secondly, if God did not 'rest' but only ceased working on the 7th day, [ he could have used the word stop/stay/ceased working or any of its variants NOT rest . In the same book of Genesis, the word 'stop' was used in Genesis 19:17 (as translated by many authors). What about Genesis 26:15, was stopped not used? So why give a clear text the meaning it is not intended?

Thirdly, alleged that there is nothing insinuating tiredness from the context. That is NOT true. yhwh RESTED FROM all his work. And which work are we talking about - the creation in the preceding six days. If the did context did not indicate tiredness, why did the bible not say stop/stay/cease etc. from his work instead of rest? ALL your explanation is just to twist the obvious!

Fourthly, your explanation of derivative is completely irrelevant. We are not concerned about the derivative BUT the actual word itself!

Finally, and I asked again, would you answer question regarding a potential thief which you have not responded. Did you not see it?

HisSplendor:
The rest in that verse is contextual. You cannot define it outside its context.

There's nothing insinuating tiredness in the context. It insinuates cessation from work.

A derivate of that is the Sabbatical Leave. Workers who go on sabbatical leave aren't tired. God who rested or ceased from the work of creation wasn't tired as well.

The very deep truth about that verse is that God wanted a day separated unto Him for His worship. That day, man must cease from work as God did from His.

In the same vein, the Israelites cease from work on the Sabbath day. Not because they're tired but because God ceased from His.

It is also a reflection of the salvation message. God laid a foundation for the work of grace in that verse. These are truths too deep for you to comprehend.

We cease from our physical struggles for righteousness as God did from His work of creation. God's rest becomes our rest even as the righteousness of Jesus becomes our righteousness. I'm not supposed to go this deep with you because you can't understand.

However, I have to let you know that God was setting forth a spiritual principle in that verse. The context is clear. He finished the work and rested from the work. He didn't create anything anymore.

Then, he separated the 7th day as a day of rest for man. Not because man would be tired after 6 days of work, but because He wanted man to follow the rules He laid down which actually has its spiritual implications unknown to canal men.

Dear LegalWolf,
I guess when someone's ability to comprehend simple English is low, he reads fictitious meanings into plain texts.
Who was to drive out the inhabitants of the Land? Was it God or Judah?

PART 1:
IN SIMPLE English (Paraphrased)
Judges 1:19 reads.
In spite of the fact that the Lord was with Judah, Judah couldn't drive out the inhabitants of the mountains because they had chariots of iron.

Why couldn't Judah drive them out in spite of the fact that God was with him? The reason was that Judah knew that they they had chariots of iron.

The verse assumed that Judah had the capability of taking the Land because God was with him BUT Judah thought otherwise and because of his excuse of them having chariots of Iron (which he didn't have). In other words, Judah's faithlessness prevented him from conquering the land.

You must answer the question below FIRST for us to continue!

NNTR:
Why would someone go dig up a almost 10 year old post

Smh. Are you familiar with the saying and its implication at all:
'Its not by power, its not be might, but by my Spirit' (i.e. Zechariah 4:6)

Joshua 17:16-18
'16The sons of Joseph said,
“The hill country is not enough for us, and all the Canaanites who live in the valley have iron chariots, both those who are in Beth-shean and its towns and those in the Valley of Jezreel.”
17Joshua said to the house of Joseph, to Ephraim and to Manasseh,
“You are a numerous people and have great power; you shall not have only one lot,
18but the hill country shall be yours. For though it is a forest,
you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders;
for you shall drive out the Canaanites,
even though they have iron chariots and though they are strong.”
'

Mark 6:4-6
'4Jesus said to them,
“A prophet is not without honor (respect) except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household.”
5And He could not do a miracle there at all [because of their unbelief]
except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.
6He wondered at their unbelief.
'

Matthew 13:58
'57And they took offense at Him [refusing to believe in Him].
But Jesus said to them,
“A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”
58And He did not do many miracles there [in Nazareth] because of their unbelief.
'

Classic textbook case example of how unbelief is a showstopper. It proved in Judges 1:19, how, it was not just an enemy, but was an obstacle of progress. It is something that holds back the Hand of God to assist. It prevents an activity or process from positively continuing

Judges 4:17
'[i]And during the battle, the LORD confused Sisera, his chariot drivers, and his whole army.
Everyone was so afraid of Barak and his army, that even Sisera jumped down from his chariot and tried to escape.[/I]'

Faith is a game changer. Without faith, its impossible to please God. Without faith, God's Hands, literally, just as was seen happened in Judges 1:19, are tied up.

Alternative questions equally good to ask would be.
1. Why did Ogun commit suicide?
2. For what ends were the homicide and suicide committed by Ogun?
3. What purpose did the killing and even the death of Ogun serve?

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.
LegalWolf was pained by my last three publications on Nairaland where Allah, Muslims, Islam and most importantly LegalWolf was bashed by the TRUTH exposing Islam. He this decided to align with Atheists (as they share the same father) to look for any straw he can grab as a weapon against me.

1. Trinity In Islam!? Muslims Cannot Explain!
2. How Allah Created Christianity
3. Plain IDOLATRY by Muslims in Islam?

Most Muslims kept QUIET because the evidences were overwhelming. However for LegalWolf, he decided to splash and argue stupidly and senselessly as a baby lawyer. He refused to answer questions while looking for non-existent technicalities to use.

It seems LegalWolf is becoming an atheist as a succour for the failures of Allah and his Messanger and Islam as a whole.

LOL! This liar called TenQ is so predictable! What do you expect from a Christian?

See my post here:

We knew it. If I had lived just two thousand years ago, probably my letters right now to TenQ would have been taken as the word of God and deemed 'inspired'. And the hypocrite called Hissplendor saw clearly where TenQ forged a statement and attributed it to me. Or did you not? For your information, this is the fraud's statement:

You tell me which part of my answer to the second question that I say 'it is not correct'. The fraudstar even put a forged statement in inverted comma. In case you are blind, this is my second part to the question:

And if we decide not to respond to him because he will forge statements and attribute it to us, Hissplendor would start quoting baseless statistics that 80% of the time when people do not respond to questions, it is because they don't have answers. Hissplendor tell us before God and man whether TenQ LIED when he said my response to his second question is 'IT IS NOT CORRECT'.

At least, you were not part of our previous engagement. But what about this one?

Anyways, much more than yhwh, I could foresee TenQ will open a new thread and mention me. The piece of evidence is there for everyone to see that he is a fraudster. And I would not engage a fraudster on matters of religion. So may yhwh be with you. Oh I forgot, there was a time yhwh was with the people of Judah, and he could not help them defeat primitive people people because they had Iron chariot. Judges 1:19 It appears you are on your own, LOL grin

This is my first and last comment on this thread. Respectfully, I peace out!
You never cease to amaze me. The evidences are from your Islamic literatures.

Even after the warning, you went completely at tangent. All to avoid the topic and question as usual!

The QUESTION:
1. Can Muslims explain on the contrary why the black stone may not be equivalent to Magical Charms of Idolaters ?
2. Can Muslims explain WHY they point to or kiss/or touch the black stone as part of their religious activities during their pilgrimage?

Islam teaches that Jesus was a muslim in order to get you distracted and follow the path of destruction and bow down to Baal (Allah).

Don’t be deceived.

Allah prides himself as the best of the deceivers, Al-makireena the same title of Satan, the father of lies.

Quran 8:30
wa-idh yamkuru bika alladhīna kafarū liyuth'bitūka aw yaqtulūka aw yukh'rijūka wayamkurūna wayamkuru l-lahu wal-lahu khayru l-mākirīna

And when those who disbelieved deceive/scheme at you to affix/affirm you, or kill you, or bring you out, and they scheme/deceive , and Allah deceives/schemes and Allah (is) best (of) the deceivers/schemers.

Makirina is from (مَكْر [makir] ) which means cunning, deceptive, guile.
Taqqiya indeed!

Jesus Christ name in Arabic is:

عيسى المسيح (Iesa Al Maseeh) for Muslims
يسوع المسيح (Yasou’ Al Maseeh) for Christians

It is obvious that these refer to two different personalities

Kherson is not part of donbas ,it borders north part of cremea, and southern and west bank of Ukraine. It is a their Port City.

To hold and solidify your Victory, you need to create distractions for your enemies just to continue holding grip to your secured territory. Donbas is the target, and that has been accomplished
Did or did not Russia formally and legally annex Kherson as part of Russian territory?

nobody cares how many people welcomed him. Those who voted for referendum are not ghosts
But the streets were full of people welcoming their librators.

Didn't you watch them on TV?
You think all the crying women were actors brought from Kyiv?

For Muslims reading this, the Question is just TWO questions:

The QUESTION:
1. Can Muslims explain on the contrary why the black stone may not be equivalent to Magical Charms of Idolaters ?
2. Can Muslims explain WHY they point to or kiss/or touch the black stone as part of their religious activities during their pilgrimage?
