TravelRe: North Cyprus by tEsLim(m): 12:46pm On Jan 25, 2011
Finally I"m gonna talk. I've been in North Cyprus for a week now. I came very early thinking there was actual English Proficiency test for Nigerians not knowing we get exemptions with our results. I completed my registration the 2nd day its not like how stressful it was doing registration in Naija. The town is a beautiful place and the school is more beautiful. The school i think have problems with their PR people and can't market themselves better or provide better pictures of their school on the website sad because its sexy cool than you prolly think it is from their website,  lol and they actually do have a PR Department. Its nice looking peaceful town. You can walk around anytime. Drinking not allowed on campus and girls not allowed in the boys dormitory lol cheesy. So I see people turn cigarette to life partners :p ,  and if you have weed/marijuana as vice stop it its capital poo here you could be looking at serious jail. I have a brand new rizzla unopened and that I may never open again sad .

I have taking more than 50 pictures cheesy private archive I may share some later. Good food but could be expensive for students if you get to think about it. But what I'll tell you is that what would you expect from an holiday island? Well things are quite expensive but you still can't compare it to Uk  or USA though there are more chances of maybe getting job opportunity in a more industrialized country like US/Uk. I think this could be the most expensive times of your life! Spending 2years to 4years on an holiday island so be prepared for it. Because even eyinbo's self only come here for holiday and leave. But as human I believe we have a way of adapting to our new environment and surviving atleast its not like you are in the wilderness.

I've been spending an average of 20TL daily on my meals since I got here that's like N2,000 daily i eat twice. The Mediterranean food is good, i like their cuisine.  DOnt forget to bring your MasterCard (GTB MasterCard the naira card) thats what I use to get around. Its free from charges when you use the POS. But charge you 1k naira per withdrawal from the ATM. I think its a must for students to come with this type of card. So your parents can make payment to your gtb accounts and you could just pull it out or spend the money else sap fit worry you here.

Shopping is not as bad as I taught, but I heard it will be far cheaper in Turkey. I need more warm dress so visited Levis, Nike, and maybe a Turkish designer RodiMood (I dont know that label before now). Did some fair buying of warm sweet tops wink.  Temperature in the country is fair compared to what it would be in other EU countries. I believe anything colder than this is racist for the black man cheesy I hate too much cold where you can't even touch the tap screw lol.

I found a 3bedroom flat just yesterday and its 800k per year and I have to pay minimum of 6months with some deposit around 400k. Normally 2bedrooms I found earlier where around 6k euros for 10months. Lol this idiots where even counting semesters for me. I like privacy so can't stay in the dorm. I'm still in the temporary dorm but can't bear it. I have 3 Iraq roommate leaving today they found another dorm. Actually they make noise at night while playing poker, pee on the toilet seats, hair litters the bathroom floor after hot bath ,  i think their body is like chicken because i wonder how much hair drops when they bath with hot water.  I just don't feel comfortable sharing room. Between i'm expecting two of my friends later that's why i got the 3bedroom wink. If they don't come i can sublet on of the rooms out you know the price already. And that excludes water, electric and internet bills. But its walkable distance from school very near school cheesy ,  with nice balcony/rooftop cheesy . Living abroad dont come cheap most especially when living in a place where I think will be difficult to get job. I saw a black girl at a restaurant though i dont know how much they pay her; couldn't ask that would be disrespectful.

I wont tell people not to come ,  but I seriously will advice that you have good continuous source of income. Or if for example if your parent can set aside certain amount of money for you to do business while studying here. i.e maybe if you could be buying stuffs from turkey and reselling in Nigeria or doing something on the sidekick. But if you are super-financed from home you will just enjoy your studies. And yeah the locals are friendly; I've been asked more than twice by Turkish men to hook them up with a black girl in return for a Turkish girl. Btw Turkish girls are quit snubbing they mostly wont answer regular hello / hi poo if they don't know you lol. We get different background ,  so street toasting might be $)(*#$R*(#@

I'm just going to try enjoy myself the best I can. Dont forget come with all your electronics gadgets (ps3, psp, ipods - plus they're expensive here) to keep your entertained you will have down times lol ,  so now when i take long walk i gotta be on my Ipod something I dont really use much in Naija.

Sorry for typographical errors if there are some because I'm not about to proof read this i just type it straight out from the mind

And know the currency as soon as you get in. I've been ripped someone gave me 1 lira coin (100 naira) that is no longer in US. And I've been ripped by waiters 3 to 4times. They can spot a newbie I guess. They try to keep your change i.e short-changing you or inflating price by 1lira

No need for crititizm just little instructions

1. Move back to your parents house or to a friends house. But I suggest a male friend because if you go to a female friends house you will start sleeping with her boyfriend to. ANd I will advice you keep this fucking secret for life else you will be skinned alive. And hated forever
2. Get a real boyfriend around your age with a d.i.c.k that can Zap you real good and make you forget your sista husbands. Get a real boyfriend i your life.
3. Do not confide this story with anyone I repeat do not!. Call both husabnds and tell them you are out. Even tell them and let them know you are sleeping with both husbands. It could disgust them a little , Because it could be that you are actually cheating with both men still lol
4. Move on

Yeah the names must be in the embassy because right in my face i saw the dude look into a list of names and thicked something that i think would have been my name. Looked me in the eye maybe to see if i was the one in the passport, did he's 40 seconds questioning and said I should come pick visa up next day.

I went with scanned copy of admission documents as wip4 sent. By the way it loooks i dont even think the embassy ever needs your originals lol. Gong EMU and I already said I'm boarding 18th Jan up there.

I kinda regret my previous reply to the thread. I think the wife of the man said her side of the story and this man MUST be an animal by the womans explanation. Take heart woman. I think from now on. We need to hear both sides of the stories. They have to be both members of the forum. Peace out!
FamilyRe: I Regret Bringing My Wife Abroad by tEsLim(m): 5:52pm On Jan 06, 2011
You can take her for vacations!!!! Never get her permanent residence in the WEST!!!! NEVER!!!! Foolish man. I've read and seen this stories a million times. Even your younger brother will do the same thing; but atleast he ain't your wife or you dont have babies together. But when it comes to women they got their on mind too. And if you are not fully west in mentality yourself dont try the shit. BEcause normally you must be a control freak to want an uncivilized woman in the west. Then when she learns and see the new world she'll become any of the other ladies you didn't wanna marry in the west and be worse.

Take your Nigerian wifes for vacation but never let them have stay/residence/citizenship in Western countries unless you are about to loose are or you are really sure its good and safe for you she's got the mental capability not to go wiild.

TravelRe: North Cyprus by tEsLim(m): 3:34pm On Jan 06, 2011
Hi everyone I just got my transit visa from Turkish Embassy Abuja. The interview is as short as 40 seconds. You may be asked questions like: how much did you pay to school, what did you apply to study for? whats name of your school, generic questions you should know already.

I lodged at Salem guest inn , near maitama guest in its was fair at N6,700. And Maitaima guest in itself is N8k but the rooms i was showed smell stale. So went to Salem. Most cab driver know Maitama Guest inn on Yetseram. You gonna spend a whole day doing th ministry of education thing. Make sure you have all documents on the checklist that the embassy requires. I met students that came with less document; they might have problems.

Make sure your sponsorship letter get notarised too so you dont be looking around to do that in abuja. Make photocopies of your docs before coming to reduce you running around. Interviews are Monday, Wed, Fri at the embassy. The people at the gate may try to extort you; use your discretion. Because I saw some people gave tips to have their docs sent in quickly. Though most of those where not students.

1st day certified my certificates, second day Wednesday applied for visa, 3rd day 2pm picked it up, 4th day i'm outta here.I think thats my review.

RomanceRe: Have You Ever Cheated? by tEsLim(m): 6:30pm On Dec 23, 2010
I'm an honest person and try to say the truth to the best of my knowledge. Ask me about something else. "CHEATING' is classified information  cool. Only the CIA as that type of info on me. And my d.i.ck can't talk neither does it have a meter you would have been able to check down their ,  but i bet you don't wanna go down there.

And btw who are you to question human behaviour. Its human to be insatiable.
PoliticsRe: Debate: Is Nigeria A Failed State? by tEsLim(m): 11:44am On Dec 18, 2010
Nigeria has been a failed state since independence. Dubai was built under 37years with oil money. That place was a desert. THey discovered oil after the Brits left. And used it very very well.

Nigeria is a failed state if all our ex-government officials are not in jail or held accountable. There are genocides, theft, and all sorts of corruption. Obasanjo should be taken to Hague for the Odi Village Genocide
FamilyRe: Annoying Spousal Habits by tEsLim(m): 8:16am On Dec 17, 2010
And by the way some ladies complain isn't complain

1. I ask her if she found my car keys, or other items because sometimes we both use it. Is there a crime in that ? Plus she's meant to always get my back
2. Farting hmmmm, she cooked the food na. Is that my fault or did I eat outside? Plus I do my farting discreetly but once once na i gats just free myself. Plus THIS IS MY HOUSE! cheesy
3. PS3 and PES2011 is the bomb I have a separate room for gaming in the house with my wide screen TV. Nothing you can do about this! Marriage could be very boring without PS3 because the TV station is always on AfricanMagic by default and I can't watch that bullshit with her. Illogical movies about witchcraft everyday.
4. And yes I'm NON RELIGIOUS mess that! The old scripts dont make sense anymore in today's world. They're practically non-applicable.
5. And I don't ball with the in-laws because too much balling with them will always result in unsolicited bull.sh.it
6. I smoke good ol' maryuana , she never said something about it. I do a little discreetly but I bet she knows. When I be up in the balcony early AM cheesy. Medical maryuana twice a week. cheesy
7. Someone recommended me talking about bags, fashion with her in one of the post. I did. But she only replies with one word. And sometimes says I'm to critic so I dont talk fashion. She thinks anytime i open my mouth its a critic.

Yes I forgot to add.
1. Turning her bedroom to laundry+drying room. Spread kids cloths all over her bed. I heard that shit causes pneumonia. I've always told her to wash cloths that the lines downstairs could take. Yes we have separate bedrooms incase of we fight seriously we just stay out of each other way till we reconcile.
2. Always emptying my bedroom fridge. Thank God she doesn't do alcohol so i only load alcohol in it now. No juice, milk, cheese,
3, Pretended she couldn't operate the generator for two years. LAME sad so that she doesn't go down to turn it off when nepa brings light midnight lol.
FamilyRe: Annoying Spousal Habits by tEsLim(m): 10:22pm On Dec 16, 2010
1. She doesn't laugh at anything I say. And always keep straight face that is emotionless 95% of the time I've known her.
2. Doesn't say JACK! I taught she was reserved back then and that htings will get better. HELL NO! she dont talk tooooo quiete and got 1billion things on her mind she will never say
3. Forgetful and doesn't pick phone most time. And sends very annoying repetitive text messages due to her insecurities. "You are out there again abi? With another woman abi?"
4. Too suspicious
5. Used to scratch her legs while sleeping (fixed this it was medical)
6. Complains of no attention knowing fully well she's the one that doesnt talk or want to have conversations. She can reply a 5hrs talk with YES or NO and thats it
7. Never logical. Emotion and sentiment first.
8. Jealous of her kids. If they play with me too much she complains of giving them more attention than her sad sad sad
9. Very boring person too cold in nature, routined and not dynamic. Very predictable. She the same yesterday, today, tomorrow and ,
10. Only woman I know that want s.ex and no pre-intimacy. And will complain of rush job cos i gotta logout from the boring bed chore

I'm about to schedule my flight to Abuja 23rd since wip4 said we can start going to the embassy from 20th. Does anybody have information on when the embassy closes for the holiday? Or do we just wait till January? I have a flight ticket already for Istanbul > Ercan 18th January. All my docs are ready for the embassy. I'm scheduling flights earlier so atleast maybe it could be cheaper and I dont want to be in tight corners so wanna be prepared in advance
TravelRe: North Cyprus by tEsLim(m): 7:22pm On Dec 14, 2010
Well wip baba I dont mean to sound like i was gonna do a million dollar shopping. But I searched the internet and didn't find a lot of information. And malls are good cheesy , i.e I plan leaving behind my regular ps3-60gb because it would be big to travel with and getting a new ps3 slim. Atleast would like to have things to make life interesting while new in a place trying to make new friends etc. So couldnt find shops online in NC selling stuffs like that that interest me. There are simple things I always like to get.

You can suggest websites you know. I checked though return ticket Ercan to Turkey is only $110 it could be worth it. Once a while to be in a big city.
TravelRe: North Cyprus by tEsLim(m): 8:27am On Dec 14, 2010
Can current students in the school share what they like about it and the town of Famagusta itself? Shopping malls? Or do I have to travel to Turkey every-time for shopping? I found some video on youtube where EMU student where protesting the video doesn't look good sad . Thoguh I'm sure if after one year and not enjoying the school they'll let me have transcripts and get transfered.
