PoliticsRe: 16 Years Of Failure: Pdp's 6 Steps To Redemption by TGM2015:
The Facts are
1. PDP rule Nigeria for 16 years
2. Majority of PDP members are now APC member
3. Most of these PDP turned APC members were maltreated by PDP as a party e.g. Atiku, Tambuwal, Ameachi, Ngige, etc
4. When Obasanjo turn a new leave (which might be connected to his new theological knowledge) and start telling the truth he was not spared to the extent that he was pushed tore his PDP membership card to pre-empty his expulsion from the Party which came less than two hours after he tore the card.
5. That PDP and her loyal members strive on impunity which they extend beyond their party to Nigerian Governor Forum, State House of Assembly (Rivers, Ekiti, etc), even Judiciary (Rivers State vs FG), etc
6. That PDP led FG under Obasanjo pays up our long standing debt, improves our reserves and start anti-graft agencies giving priority to farming and vocational jobs neglecting formal education and institutions.
7. That PDP led FG under Yar'dua initiate sincere efforts to revive formal education sector, power and electoral reform. He also successfully resolved the escalated militancy in Niger Delta under Obasanjo.
8. That the PDP led FG under Jonathan gave Nigerians considerable freedom of expression, improve agricultural product through subsidizing fertilizers, privatization of power (light), etc. Unfortunately, the government witness high increase in stealing of public fund from millions of Naira to billions of Dollars, last longing strikes across all educational sector and labour unions, etc

The only problem I observed with PDP and their supporters is love deceiving themselves living in the denial of raw facts starring at them. Instead of them to retraced their steps and find where they had failed that make majority of Nigeria to vote them out, all they are ranting about is to defending their misrule. My concern is that if anything happens to PDP we might be gearing towards a one party system, Tonyebarcanista their Nairaland leader should stop this is illogical reason and tell his people the bitter truth so that PDP will be revive and that by 2019 we will have a viable opposition parties so that in any Legislative House (Senate, HoR & SHAs) there wouldn't be any single party that will have more than 43% of the total number in the house and the slogan like APC own the Senate, Rivers is a PDP state, Lagos is a APC state will be a forgotten word in our Political history so that even if a party is ruling for years they will have it at the back of their mind the state belongs not to them the Party but Nigerians who resided in the state.

PoliticsRe: Why Rivers Should Return Nyesome Wike In The Governorship Rerun by TGM2015: 8:17pm On Oct 26, 2015
MadCow1:
If Wike wins, the Riverine communities would have to go approximately 22 years without rulership in the state.

Odili who is Upland (Ndoni) did 8 years..

Amaechi who is upland (Ubima) also did 8 years

Then Wike as well who is also upland would now get another 8 years making it 22 years..

That is unacceptable. In the spirit of fairness, it's only right that the position be passed to the Riverine communities of which Dakuku Peterside (Andoni) is one.

The Ikwerres are the bulk of Wikes support base and they alone can't win him the elections.

I support Dakuku and would vote as such.

This analysis by Barcanista is rubbish as Amaechi spent the last portion of his tenure battling the PDP who had conviniently marginalised the state, moved part of the states oil wells to Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa State, caused chaos in the state polity (Evans Bipi saga is still fresh on our minds), created disharmony in the state (Everybody in Rivers State can never forget CP Joseph Mbu), and thanks to Madam Patience Jonathan made the state ungovernable for Amaechi.

Tonye we all saw how Jonathan's PDP struggled to mention 1 Federal Project that it executed in Rivers State in the last 6 years. We all saw how East - West Road was conviniently stopped right in front of Eleme which is the main road in Rivers State with regards to Rivers States economy as that road houses the States Refinery, Ports and other Oil and gas companies fabrication yard. Let's also not forget that the Federal government stopped paying the States allocation because it had issues with the Governor. UNDER Jonathan's PDP, Port Harcourt airport was abandoned and is today the World's Worst Airport... O and remember that Amaechi asked the Federal government to hand that Airport to the Rivers State government to construct and they refused because they wanted to spite Amaechi. Yet the same Jonathan concessioned Akwa Ibom Airport to Akpabio to construct.

Please Amaechi performed excellently well despite the concerted effort by Jonathan's PDP to frustrate the State. We Rivers people are not fooled by your long write ups.. No single road constructed by Wike under his short tenure is up to the standard of any road constructed by Amaechi. Look at the GRA road for example. All roads constructed under Amaechi all had covered drainage, Pedestrian walk ways and the roads themselves were properly piled.. Under Wike we are now seeing the Odili style of road construction of grade and tar with open drainage and no pedestrian walkway..

Abeg bros use reverse park and drink Orijin.. Na Dakuku be our choice.
One thing about the confirmed paid person in like of the author of this thread is that they are descendants of Esau. Always keeping the truth away from the masses.
If Nigerian youths are people of value and rational being, none who ever advocate for Wike to hold public post considering his actions as a Minister of Education which recently manifest with the state sponsored students that were forced to fly back to Nigeria. With his thuggery act as the chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government, there shouldn't be any peace loving individual that will stand up for this Wike to be a governor.

The most of unfortunate things was that this OP sometimes few weeks ago writes and makes suggestions for youth to make a productive life and prepare to take up leadership...... etc.

Tonyebarcanista you are a disgrace to humanity and your generation. Were there no any other reputable personality in your new party PDP that you can advocate for than the thug evil minded Wike who shows no remorse on lost lives during the election that was as a result of his actions and in actions? Like his role model he start jumping from one pastor to another looking for anointing and miracle to get favourable judgement at Tribunal.

One thing I know is that you can't play with God name with wicked and inhuman actions. Better leave God out of it and see how devil allows you get away with it until the most patient God looks upon cry, pains and prayers of the oppressed.

N.B I don't av an account wit union
I really don't know they basis or criteria for the invite. One thing I know for sure is that people who got the message must have had a relationship with the bank. If you don't have account with the bank and the only relationship that you had with Union Bank to share your email with the bank is recruitment, then I maybe tempted to conclude it was recruitment related.

On the ongoing AC, please note that the struggle is not only the best but best among best. It might possibly be demographic selected but out of close to 200 candidates about 60 MIGHT be selected and as things is going the TS might start next year, though not sure of this.

Keep hope alive.

PoliticsRe: Rivers Governorship Rerun: A Golden Opportunity To Shut The Mouth Of APC by TGM2015: 8:11pm On Oct 24, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
The verdict of the Rivers state election petition tribunal that nullified the April 11 Electoral victory of PDP and Governor Nyesome Wike and ordered for a rerun should not in any way cause sadness in the camp of the good people of Rivers state and members of the PDP.

Though unfortunate and unexpected, the forthcoming re-run election presents another opportunity for Rivers people to tell APC and their praise-singers that the PDP is the only political party known in Rivers state. The PDP has also been presented a golden opportunity to reaffirm that Rivers state is the party's undisputed Political Capital of Southern Nigeria.

Rivers state shall remind the APC with our votes that we believe in the leadership of Nyesome Wike and the PDP. The APC shall be told once again that Rivers people will never vote for a party that shut down our judiciary and our State House of Assembly for over TWO years under the inglorious and painful administration of Rotimi Amaechi. APC will understand through the thumb-print of Rivers people that Riverians will not be cowed to submit to a party that uphold the 97% and 5% principles. APC will learn the hard way that Rivers state is determined to return them to the dust-bin of history.

PDP fans, members and supporters should see the gain in all these and start mobilising for 100% Wike's victory at the rerun poll. Of a truth, the re-run will once again shut the mouth of APC propagandists in Aso rock, Daura and Bourdillon.

Finally, I want to advice APC and Dakuku Peterside to stop wasting their looted funds on a goose chase. They should be more concerned with the present power they hold in Aso Rock because we are coming to reclaim it through the votes of patriotic Nigerians in 2019. Rivers is PDP and PDP is Rivers. God Sparing our lives, we shall meet at the poll.

God Bless PDP!! No Vacancy In The Brick House!!! God Bless Nigeria!!!
At the bonded, I believe you know better than the one sided statement you wrote.

I mainly quote for reference purposes till the election is over and results declared. Please tell your PDP supporters, Wike and Mama Patience not to toll thuggery line and investigate the election violence that claims lives if you and your party believes you are not the brain behind it.
PoliticsInnocent At Home, Guilty Abroad by TGM2015(op): 7:36am On Oct 22, 2015
WERE the law of comparative advantage to be fully operational, Nigeria would have benefited tremendously from an arrangement where its criminal cases would have been firmed out to Britain and America.

There could be no better way of resolving all those high profile cases of assassination, murder, kidnapping, treasury looting and the white-collar crimes that have been lying in our courts. There would also have been no better way for President Muhammadu Buhari to give some biting teeth to his avowed war on corruption.

As currently structured, Nigeria’s criminal justice system is ponderously frustrating; and totally skewed against the state, which appears pathetically powerless against its own laws, no thanks to the cynical manipulation of the elite.

Nigerian petroleum resources minister Diezani Alison-Madueke listens to a question following a speech at the IHS CERAWeek energy conference Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Houston. (AP Photo/Pat Sullivan)
Nigerian petroleum resources minister Diezani Alison-Madueke listens to a question following a speech at the IHS CERAWeek energy conference Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Houston. (AP Photo/Pat Sullivan)
In simple truth, Nigeria is fast becoming the safest haven for high profile crimes and big-time criminals as it readily provides the best investment climate for crooks.

And incidentally, most good things go together. So innocently had Diezani Alison-Madueke, Nigeria’s immediate past Petroleum Resources Minister, travelled to Britain to

access that country’s superior health-care for her alleged cancer case; when that same country’s superior justice system picked her up on bribery and money laundering allegations. The sharp-witted ex-Minister did not also forget to ask Nigerians to do for her, that which they do best – pray for her by fire and thunder! That’s one area where we enjoy some comparative advantage.

Madam’s experience is reminiscent of a rather disturbing trend that is fast developing in Nigeria: despite recurring anti-corruption storm, foreign capitals have always provided the opening of the corruption theatre of war. Why is it that people are innocent in Nigeria but guilty abroad?

We remember James Ononefe Ibori – convicted former Governor of Delta State, who got his judicial reward in London for proven sleaze after a Nigerian court under Justice Marcel Awokulehin had cleared him of all charges.

The case of Diepreye Alamiesiegha followed that same trajectory. His travail started in London, where the Metropolitan Police arrested him, even as a sitting Governor of Bayelsa State in 2005 from where he reportedly jumped bail and returned to Nigeria, where a sham impeachment process hallmarked his trial and conviction. Before his death last week, the British authorities were asking for his extradition back to Britain to resume his trial.

The ongoing saga of Buruji Kashamu, who is currently a Senator from Ogun State, also started in the United States of America.

As they say in the colloquial, “Niger Delta no dey carry last”. The funds in contention in the proven sleaze involving Ibori, Alamiesiegha and the alleged one involving Alison-Madueke are all Nigerian money. The salient question is: why do we show less enthusiasm than foreign countries in the recovery of our own stolen money and in punishing the offenders?

We are not in a hurry to forget that on 23 February 2012, Albert Stanley, then 69, the former head of the US Contracting Firm of KBR, was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment over bribes offered to Nigerian officials for the award of contracts. Between 2001 and 2004, the US Firm paid $180 million to Nigerian officials to secure $6 billion contracts for Bonny Island Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG, Project.

Apart from the term of imprisonment, Albert Stanley was also required to pay $10.8 million in restitution under the judgment, which was handed down in Houston Federal Court. Stanley pleaded guilty to violations of the Foreign Corruption Practices Act and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. KBR and its parent body, Halliburton, also agreed to pay $579 million fine after pleading guilty to corruption charges in Nigeria.

What is most confounding is that years after the bribe givers have been languishing in jail back home, the bribe takers in Nigeria are moving about in full freedom, accumulating national merit awards and chieftaincy titles of all description.

Enter the German Firm of Siemens, AG: In 2008, Siemens agreed to pay a penalty of $1.3 billion to the US and German Authorities who accused the Firm and three subsidiaries of paying bribe money to Nigerian officials. The Germans came to Nigeria, bribed Nigerians and they are being punished in their country for doing so. Nigerians who took the bribes are here in Nigeria being rewarded. What an irony of fate!

All we are getting from the EFCC is, “We will get to the root of the scandal and prosecute whoever is found to have soiled his hands”. After all these years, we are still trying to get to the roots while the foreign governments have since uprooted the entire tree and they have burnt the tree and its roots to fire their criminal justice system. And their engine of social justice is moving very smoothly.

The anti-graft war faces a serious paradox: Nigerians hate stealing but you dare not punish their sons and daughters engaged in it, thus lending credence to the ugly aphorism that one man’s terrorist is another’s freedom fighter. Things get further worse when we milk ethnic emotions to justify sleaze and threaten thunder and brimstone should an accused be rightly punished.

The war against corruption is on. Failure is not an option. There is no escaping the inevitable conclusion that a situation in which the West is leading the crusade to recover Nigeria’s stolen assets, while Nigeria watches hopelessly from the sidelines, is nauseating. Our judiciary cannot exculpate itself from the ensuing confusion and any accusation of weakness.

Still more deleterious is that situation where we are unable to account for repatriated loots. See how shamelessly the recovered Abacha loot has been re-looted over and over again? Is it not more comforting and cost-effective to leave the loot where it is rather than transferring them to bigger thieves?

We must be resolute without any regard to the perceived status of whoever is accused or the tantrums of his misguided people, including some community and religious leaders. All told, Nigeria has no choice but to totally reform its people and its criminal justice system.

PoliticsRe: One-sided Anti-corruption War: Presidency Dismisses Metuh's Allegation by TGM2015:
Buhari should remember that the fight against corruption is no only about his conscience but about the public perception of it being done rightly.

I believe PMB can hold on to the appointment for Rivers state minister and fast track the court proceedings and judgement. I salute his diplomacy in the handling of political crisis within the party and the Senate. I believe Buhari was convinced as Ameachi was also highly confident that to the best of his knowledge, he didn't engaged in any corrupt act. Going by his words, "we steal because we are not stoned", and challenging the Rivers state government under Wike to publish the state account under his watch, I have reservation that the allegations MIGHT not be valid, maybe that may have account for reason why EFCC see no justification of inviting him for questioning.

Above, I see no reason why this Senate should not confirm Ameachi despite the petitions against him, most especially when is coming from sworn associated of people/party whose leader has publicly declared that he will hang himself if Ameachi was confirmed as Minster. And considering their overwhelming supports (most especially the PDP Senators) for Saraki and vote of confidence in him despite a recognized statutory legal government agency allegations of false asset declaration of which their President has not provide evidence against except that he was being witch hunted and evidence against technicality of the Tribunal and its composition, this Senate has no moral right whatsoever to base no confirmation of Ameachi on the premises of the allegations.

To add salt to their injuries, no one can ask him questions or clarification on the allegations except to as questions to test his intelligences on economic, political, etc matters.

PoliticsRe: Dogara Fails To Settle Saraki, Presidency Rift by TGM2015:
This is why Saraki emergencies as Senate president was opposed initially by the APC Leaders. One thing I personally believe is that all Nigerian politician are corrupt but some are less corrupt, more corrupt and chronic corrupt. Saraki is a chronic unrepentant corrupt politician and the fears of him being charged to court by PDP to disgrace APC was the initial rejection of him as Senate President (unfortunately the charges came from/pushed by APC members).

Now they want to use their constitutional right to negotiate with the executive in order to secure protection for all their past corrupt activities, which was their initial motive of supporting Saraki for Senate President.

Buhari should clearly get this in clear statement that majority of Nigeria who voted him, vote for him because of his stand against corruption (as over 70% of vote cast for him are genuine Nigerian void of mass thumb printing or multiple voting unlike Jonathan's that have less than 50% of the valid vote cast for him genuine). Though one can only rigged where he/she is very popular. Buhari should not comprise his integrity just because of corrupt to-be Ministers.

Above all, I do not see how a Senate that the President is having pending corrupt related case in Court, Deputy Senate President with House Rule forgery cases hanging on his neck and several of his member has one case or the other, have the guts to be screening and considering corrupt related petitions of those to-be Ministers. This is just a joke of the 21st Century.

I pray that all these political crises should get quick solutions in the BEST RIGHT MEANS as this is affecting our dear country economic stability and investment opportunities.

PoliticsRe: Dieziani's Arrest: Why Buhari Should Not Be Hailed by TGM2015: 5:07am On Oct 04, 2015
I just took my time reading from the first page to this point. Now I know the real reason why the OP deactivate his/her previous account. To cover the past records of his as a show of loyalty to his current political associates and stop at nothing in ridicule in present Buhari APC led FG to paint all achievements as a result of Jonathan PDP led FG administration or any other entities other than Buhari and APC.

Starting from the topic, Tonyebarcanista forgot or deliberately ignore the fact that Buhari had been traveling across the globe mainly on three agenda, security, anticorruption and investments (for employment generation and economic stability). He deliberately not disclosed the news of how Jonathan led FG protect this lady from HoR committee and how Senate was manipulated under David Mark to protect highly placed corrupt Jonathan cabinet including this lady, the scenario which they are fighting hard to continue in the 8th Senate Assembly. He forgot to disclosed how the lady find her way out of the country few weeks to Buhari swearing in and how EFCC, ICPC and judicial are crippled by Jonathan administration to prosecuted criminals and political officers.

The same person will be quick to condemned Buhari APC led go to for any economic and political crises in Nigeria without apportionany to the previous Jonathan led PDP government. Whereas Nigeria is suffering from mismanagement of her revenue during the surplus time and outright celebration of corruption where stealing from public fund rises from millions of naira to billions of naira and skyrocket to billions of dollars.

And among indicted members of APC of corruption by public opinions including the OP, the only people I believe Buhari is answerable to are Fashola and Ameachi as they are the only two who enjoy immunity during the PDP led administration. Then if PDP led administration don't find others such as Tinubu & Co tried in law court with evidence to charged them guilty, I believe it will be irrational to expect APC led government to EASILY find them guilty. Meanwhile, the PDP mantra in Rivers has yet make public indictment against Ameachi who even challenge them to publish the state account for public to see unlike the Saraki that PDP with all their might and I'll gotten wealth is protecting. on the other hand Lagos state APC are yet to indict Fashola even in faces of highly level scandals of websites and borehole project, the PDP in the state has not find it worthwhile taking the case to court and test the sincerity of the current APC led government on her anticorruption stance.

Ask your self, why has the talkative spokesperson of the APC not refuted Jonathan's statement...

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/fg-saves-n500bn-through-implementation-of-single-treasury-account/

We are still waiting for APCs original initiatives.
Splashme:
IPPIS was deeply implemented.
They also commenced implementation of TSA but did not make so much noise about it.

The Buhari/APC govt are very loud, very very loud. They first run to the media, sing, dance before they come back to plan.
Thanking your for drawing my attention. The summary was that the Government implement the aspect of payment in TSA since 2012 i.e. all payments to vendors will be through one single account and in January 2015 the e-Revenue was set to start and circular was sent out to all agencies in Abuja and across the Country.

If your read the mail, all credit goes to NOI who initiate the project to block leakages. Do you think it is logical to start from payment first? Because for me, when you holds the revenue, you can dictates how to spend it; and not putting your efforts to how ministries/agencies are spending their money and leaving out control over what they earn/remit.

It is not the money they remit that the FG under her TSA epayment programme will pay vendor from? Even if for one reasons or the other implementing epayment of TSA should be the first? Why taking two years before moving to eRevenue? Why was it not implemented as scheduled on January 2015 even when the FG has sent out circular for compliance and user guides pamphlets?

You can read my post again and understands my questions. Jonathan should at least give insight or brief us on the challenges that made the TSA not implementable to the fullness.

Remember if it was a technology challenges, it would not have been so easy for Buhari within the shortest time. My opinion was that Jonathan do not have the political will to implement the eRevenue aspect of TSA - I may be wrong though - but I'm yet to see convincing reasons why TSA shouldn't have been fully implemented (ePayement and eRevenue) within a space of two and half years in spite of surplus earning in the the early months of the project.

PoliticsRe: Why The CCB And CCT Are Wrong In Saraki's Case by TGM2015: 6:27am On Sep 21, 2015
blaksmith:
I know the process of Asset Declaration. I have read the Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act. You have missed the entire point of my submission. In simpler terms, this is the process:
1. Declaration of Asset via the prescribed Form
2. CCB receives Form and begins process of verification
3. If during verification the CCB discovers any anomaly, or what may be a breach of the provisions of the Act, with respect to the contents of the Asset form, they must contact the Public Officer in question bringing it to his attention and giving him the opportunity to either deny or admit in writing that there is an anomaly in his form that constitutes a breach.
4.If he admits in writing, the matter ends at the CCB as the public officer will be required to correct the error/breach. It cannot/would not/should not be referred to the Tribunal because there is a written admission of the error/breach and such error/breach has been corrected.
5. If he denies in writing, the CCB may then refer the matter to the Tribunal for further investigation. Where the Tribunal has evidence supporting that a breach occurred, it will then issue a summons for the public officer (now an accused person) to appear before it. Attached to the Summons will be copies of the evidence proving the breach. This is also to enable the accused public officer prepare sufficiently, his defence.

The entirety of points 3, 4 and 5 are to protect the fundamental right to fair hearing.

I am glad you made reference to Buhari/Osinbajo being contacted to clarify some issues. Might I add that the CCB did embark on verification of Senator Saraki's 2003 and 2007 declarations. They however never contacted him that they identified an issue with his declarations...then suddenly 8-12 years later he is being charged to the Tribunal on charges pertaining to declarations that were verified previously. If suddenly they had problems with declarations they had initially verified, then they should have requested him to come in person to clarify...

I hope you understand this simpler breakdown.
How sure are you that he was not giving fair hearing then?
Did you realize the difference between false declaration backed with evidence of ownership and true declaration with errors in worth of the assets?
Did you realised that Saraki must have recently submitted another Asset Declaration form that CCB will compared with the previous?
How are you sure the CCB hasn't contact Saraki for clarification in a tactical manner noting it will be unprofessional for CCB to directly allow him to know he made false declaration?
How are you that Saraki made recent declaration forgetting the content of his previous asset declaration?
Has Saraki acknowledged that the process you highlighted hasn't been followed?
Even if yes, CCT is an avenue to clear himself. I which you get a copy of the 13 count charges and determined if the false declaration was intentional made or not.
PoliticsRe: Why The CCB And CCT Are Wrong In Saraki's Case by TGM2015: 9:12pm On Sep 20, 2015
Please, do you even know the process of asset declaration by CCB. Because it was once on the news on Buhari/Osinbajo assets declaration that they need their presence to clarify some issues before admitting it to be final document.

Before, the Asset Declaration form is finally file and becomes legal documents the public officer and the CCB officials will have agreed on the worth and presence of the assets.

Maybe you will need to check the allegations again. He declared an asset that he bought many years later, meaning he over declared his assets and the document tendered as evidence of ownership as at the time of declaration must have been forged. He also do not declare some assets and accounts running to billion of naira in both naira and hard currencies. I knew no matter how rich you are, you actually will not forget how many active accounts you are running.

It was in the beam light of current political power struggle of who has control of what that led to those who are against him to furnish the CCB with evidence against his past records. Also we should remember he must have submitted another asset declaration form recently, which must have been checked against the previous ones he declared. Thus, if there is discrepancies or grey areas in term of the total worth or backup evidence/documents, the CCB investigate and obtain independent evidence to support or against the claims.

Though the current case against Saraki left, right and center might have been influenced because of the political struggle but we should also remember that the current activities of these anti graft are a normal course of action because they feels that the current administration will give them free hands to perform their Constitutional duties without interference unlike PDP led government that tactical dismiss Ribadu from EFCC when he bend on prosecuting all government with evidence of corruption 100% of which are Ex PDP governors and Sanusi when he bend in exposing the level of no remittance of crude oil proceed to the national coffer. Imagine an agency that collect tax on crude oil remitting times three of what the crude oil seller(NNPC) is remitting.

It is only a witch that will think he is being hunted. If though doest good. ... ... (a word to Cain by God when killed his brother Abel)
PoliticsRe: “senator” Saraki And The Defence Of Evil By Remi Oyeyemi by TGM2015: 8:23pm On Sep 20, 2015
Saraki problems still remains that he never forgo his PDP ideology of playing around justice and using court injunction to stop pending cases. What many of us do not know is that Saraki has many forgetting cases pending in courts because of perpetual court orders, injunction and restrain from been arrested under the PDP led FG. For the tactics not to work under this regime is what seems to be odd and not to come in terms with as it seems out of norms. Our country has gotten to a stage where right things becomes odd and abnormal.

The second thing in the latest PDP ideology is living in the denial of the truth. When Fashola was been accused, it wasn't witching hunting, when Wike is probing Amaechi is was dividend of democracy. Instead of them getting a substantial evidence against these people, they relied on theory of if this is that, then that must be this making many anti graft agencies not to go after the accused.

Now, it Saraki today they crying wolf of witch hunting, instead of gathering evidence and researching into strong argument to escape their wicked act, they are busy telling the world that it is witch hunting, political motivated, etc. When you know you stole and being accused of what you did, the best is to prepare for defence through the court and gather sympathy from the masses making yourself looks life you didn't do what you have been accused of.

Meanwhile, PDP will not be happy as the main reason they strike deals with Saraki is to protect their corrupt ways using the Senate power to negotiate with the executive in passing bills, budget and confirming appointees for ministers and other independent regulatory bodies.

Buhari as a man that do not believe in Saraki because his an unrepentant corrupt certified politician and track records of dishonesty and not straight forward man. He is comfortable working with and him bring in the inner caucus of his decision making hence the delay in sending ministerial list.

PoliticsRe: Lesson From Bukola Saraki- Senate President Saga- By Veraponpo by TGM2015: 5:55pm On Sep 18, 2015
I think Saraki actually starting digging his grave immediately he responded to his party letter. Going against your party decisions, your party governors and President plead and majority of your party member in the Senate relying on the support of Atiku, SS, SE Senate member with few northerners to sustain your Senate leadership ambition of which your party and her member had swallow their pride to accord you is a disaster on it own because he has nobody to run to now.

Though it might looks like witch hunt with many allegations surrounding (wife, company, asset declaration, senate rule forgery case that the Presidency has systemically swept under the carpet) but the facts remains that these anti-graft agencies have been handicapped by the Jonathan led administration as EFCC and ICPC struggles to pay their staff emoluments with little or no money to prosecute many corruption cases.

Looking beyond witch hunt, when a politician put him/herself to the beam light of political struggles that generates a lot of attention statewide or national wide, he should be prepare to defend his past life (family, work, education and political offices). At least Fashola, Ameachi even Obasanjo, etc are not left out. Obasanjo during his third ambition was accused of all sort of things from raping his son's wife to being a bastard with pictures of an identical old man on national dailies that his father was an Ibo police man and he was born out of wedlock/roadside...

All Saraki needs to do is to clear his name and that of his family as Tinubu did under Obasanjo, though I doubt if he is clean of all of the accused allegation not dwelling on the way he get around justice in the past administration because now what money cannot do more money will not do it.

TonyeBarcanista:
'I didn't leave Nairaland forum because of bully-wanabes'

Nairaland is a community that has provided me the platform to share my thought on issues and advocate for better governance of our country. I left Nairaland for some reasons; chief of which was to re-define myself, do some retrospection and extend my frontiers to other social networks (Facebook and Twitter). Unfortunately, I suffered a major setback on Facebook courtesy some pained APC fans. On twitter I am doing just fine. Another reason was an issue I raised to my friend and Founder/Admin of NL which in his own wisdom was ignored.

Before leaving Nairaland, I first sought advice and opinion from some close friends. Virtually ALL of them objected to my exit. After I left, some people privately inquired to know why I left and moved for my comeback, I turned down their request. Nevertheless, they still showed me unwavering support. However, I realised that though my exit offered me the time and privilege to establish myself on other fronts, it was clearly not accepted by the people that have always stood by me and other members of the patriotic Wailing family here on NL. As a prospective public servant, I live for the society and not for myself. On this note, I have decided to rescind my earlier decision and return to Nairaland(my primary e-constituency).

Though back to NL, I shall continue to tweet on my twitter handle and post on my FB page. I wish that my return do not NL may spark controversy because I am focused on promoting good governance for the good of Nigerians which Buhari led government continue to neglect. I shall not be distracted.

My sincere apology to all those that felt let-down by my earlier decision to quit. I also apologise to the PDP family that felt abandoned by my earlier decision. To those that continued to support me even in my absence, MAY God Almighty bless you RICHLY. God Knows that I shall forever remain indebted to you.

I'm ending this piece by reiterating my allegiance to the patriotic aspiration of Nigerians and the Peoples Democratic Party.

May God Bless Us All
When I saw the thread announcing your exit I wonder why you click on that deactivation button, my mind told me that you are on Nairaland reading or have read the post. And you will be back in the shortest possible period of time.

I hope your deactivation in not unconnected with a tactical reasoning/act of distancing your deactivated moniker from your PRE-PDP supporter posts that you made unsuccessful attempts to modify.

Above all, I pray that your redefining include a patriotic and constructive criticisms of the present administration of APC led FG & states and non-supportive of impunity, corrupt-like and undemocratic activities of PDP lead states and party activities.

Welcome back.
PoliticsNo Election In Tai LGA, Army Tells ‎rivers Tribunal by TGM2015(op): 6:57pm On Sep 09, 2015
An army officer, Captain Garba Sani, told the Rivers State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Wednesday‎ that he never saw where election was conducted in Tai Local Government Area where he and his other men were deployed to maintain peace and order on April 11, 2015, the day the poll was scheduled to hold.

The Mohammed Ambrosa-led tribunal overruled the objection by Governor Nyesom Wike, his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, and the Independent National Electoral Commission, before Sani was allowed to give his oral evidence on Wednesday.

Sani, a subpoenaed witness, who said he led 37 other soldiers on a patrol of the entire Tai, which is one of the 23 local government areas in Rivers State, said he appeared before the tribunal on the directive of army authorities.

‎The soldier, who is of the Bori Camp, Army Barracks in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, said he received the directive of the army authorities through the Directorate, Legal, of the Nigerian Army, after his unit received “a signal” about the subpoena served on the Chief of Army Staff, Maj.-Gen. Tukur Buratai.

The subpoena served on the Chief of Army Staff was obtained upon a request by the petitioners – the All Progressives Congress and its candidate in the April 11 poll, Dr. Dakuku Peterside – who are challenging the declaration of Governor Wike as the winner of the election.

The soldier, led in evidence by the petitioners’ counsel, Chief Akin Olujinmi (SAN), said his team’s patrol started at about 6pm on April 10 into the night and up till the election day on April 11.

Congratulations to all that have been called and have confirmed their availability.

Next is invitation for interviews. This will take the same pattern as that of last entry level recruitment process, that is, assessment center. Having years of experience MAYBE an added advantage but your performance and assessment scores qualify you most.

It will better that you guys start preparing and improving you comprehension ability, problem solving and analytics skills not forgetting that your communication (writing and presentation/speech making) skills are valuable tools to succeed the interview.

Also, being able to work with team (team spirit). Possibly you are not more than 200 that will be invited while only few will be taken.

Remember this, always be your self and act like YOU. The essence of personality test is consistency in the behavioral trait and skills.

Invitations will likely be rolling in before mid week next week that the AC will start.

BEST OF ALL GOOD LUCKS. Cheers.
PoliticsRe: Flash Back: Osinbajo Promises Free Meal For Students by TGM2015: 7:26am On Sep 03, 2015
I really do not know why Nigerians are so unreasonable, I read many comments and posts in many social forum including Nairaland where we display high level of comprehension deficiencies even our national dailies on APC and their 100 days promises.

The issues was that the APC and the Presidency NEVER deny those promises as insinuated but that they NEVER PROMISED TO DELIVER ANY PROMISE WITHIN 100 DAYS IN OFFICE. The only one I ever know of was forming the cabinet before September ending.

I think after corruption, sound and productive education is next biggest problem of our dear country as there are a lot of educated illiterates many of whom are in their mastery and doctorate levels.

lsoul:
undecided what are they using then?
Score? Or is it by zone? Anyone from PH got called?
Personality scores first and it is then compare to the Aptitude scores. That is reason why UBN takes interest in the personality test and its scores than aptitude test last year. Aptitude test score is the second criteria in selecting successful candidates. So those that are been call are those whose scores are high in personality test and are above cut off mark for aptitude test.

Your personality test must be rated good while fair score will still be considered for your aptitude test.
