Great!. I have always been in support of this. Then after amnesty, we put the death penalty or life imprisonment for those guilty of corruption. Make my day for once, Nigeria |

Poor people mentality. Even the rich and educated in the society give birth to children like abjectly poor people. Atiku has over thirty children, Obasanjo too numerous to mention etc. Someone would say they have a lot of money so its okay, Please Only primitive animals, mentally undeveloped humans give birth to children like that. People who are clearly irresponsible in their nuclear affairs are the ones in charge of an aggregation of diverse multitudes of individuals of a nation. Are we surprised? There is just something wrong with africans, no foresight for the future, no thought about making life easier for their offsprings, leaving a legacy, creating generational wealth. Bloody animals because of foolish culture and sometimes religion.I barely survived with a certain amount of money, therefore, now that I have a lot of money I would bring more and more children until they only have to barely survive with a little more than I had when I started. Good thinking man, very sophisticated. |
No news here. Africans are irresponsible ![]() |

I think it's time we start the conversation of acquiring firearms for law abiding citizens. I see no reason why someone should live in fear while the criminals in the society has unrestricted access to assault rifles. What nonsense? Just look at how he and his entire family is left at the mercy of criminals and lethargic response of inadequately armed policemen. Even security guards don't carry weapons. "Niggas bleed just like us, picture me being scared of a nigga that breathe the same air as me Niggas bleed just like us Picture me bein' shook, We can both pull burners, make the muthafuckin' beef cook Niggas bleed just like us, Picture a nigga hidin' My life in that man hands, while he jus' decidin', Niggas bleed just like us I'd rather go toe to toe with all of y'all, Running ain't in my protocol" |
I hope you soon, someday come to laugh at all these you've written here. Good relief. kelrob: |
Salvation of souls, yeah right. Let me give you a little intro oga...where you are right now, I have been ten times over. I also had shaking hands and cried on my knees praying but a little advise to you is that you should listen to professionals such doctors. It just might be a medical condition. Hypoglycemia can cause such symptoms. You would become either an atheist or an extremist if you love your god so much that you actually start reading the whole bible and believe all of it as truth. You would see the world coming to end and wait for jesus to come pick you up. Good thing you are in the nascent stages now, you can help your situation and learn the history of christianity and testimonials of ex-christians and missionaries - Doesn't hurt to know why someone who went into wartime Somalia abandoned the faith right? you could even try to win their soul, so there is much to gain - Also learn about similar experiences of god by other religious people. Learn, learn and re-learn because you really don't want to go this road. Ignorance is bliss but its really hard to remain ignorant for long with the internet. Finally, learn about the world and cultures and your history black african man. Enjoy your life, you really don't want to carry a grand delusionary burden of 'winning souls for the lord' and 'we in the last days.' Please, do it for your children at least. Examine your belief, when this your euphoria ends. WOE unto Al-queda/ISIS/daesh WOE unto paedophiles WOE unto rapists WOE unto ebola WOE unto poverty, hunger and disease WOE unto religious indoctrination of innocent children Isn't it ironic that god does not bother about these problems but wants you to use your money, your energy and time to 'win souls' meanwhile the next Jesus believer already thinks you are damned. Which sect among the 33,000 are you? kelrob: |
Una don come again o So God gave you free minutes? and what was your friend prophesying about. Let me guess "It shall be well with you" "You shall live long" Note to self: If you are going crazy and don't want to stand out better 'connect' with a 'spiritually inclined' christian and they will surely bring a lot of encouragement. |

Evablizin:This is exactly the passivity he talked about. Can't you people ever see that wishing and prayers do not and has never worked? All over the world people come out of their rooms and march in protests for even the smallest injustices but here you guys (not you) mock people that even got killed (Biafra/Shiites) by the Nigerian state for having an unarmed street protest. He is talking about writing letters and you are here wishing for the ground to open Learn what your representatives are paid so much to do and take up your pen comrade. |
Well, the lesson here is that mothers of prospective criminals, terrorists and kidnappers MUST report to the police illicit activities of their children. By the way, you are wrong about mothers not reporting their children. Abdulmutallab (the christmas day bomber) was reported to the authorities by his parents several times about his terrorist activities and there are many more cases like that. You need to get your head to understand the role of justice in a functioning society, all these forgive and pity does much more harm than any good in the long run. How can a parent know the child abducts innocent victims - some of whom get shot or killed - for ransome and wholesomely accept such monies without any shame? The mother should be interrogated and sent to prison too, if not for anything as a deterrent to the many irresponsible parents around. I am really appalled by the sympathy being shown to these people. He dragged his wife and family into this? Listen to yourself Some of you would fully understand justice when you have become victims first - and hope you don't get killed. tunde82seidat: |
You must be very stup!d I hope they kidnap your mother or child one day so that you can really live through the experience... and with a bullet wound.Dlordsamurai: |
Didn't read anywhere that he died Anyway, good thing for her and their family. A good point not to miss out is that they could afford India and Australia for a heart transplant operation, it is only unfortunate that such people are always quick to share the god and miracle part. You guys should wake up and demand for decent healthcare in Nigeria as a minimum. Your president is here, paying for what the citizens get for free on the NHS with state money after having allocated more funds to Aso rock hospital than teaching hospitals around Nigeria. Which bloody aspect of Nigeria isn't just annoying. |

Black people always demanding sympathy Ogbeni go back to your country, respect is earned. No reasonable person goes about liking people because of the contrasting colour of skin talkless of the heavily stereotyped Nigerians. In your country some tribes wouldn't even tolerate another person calling them fools in their region yet you are in another country and you insult them. We can spot real refugees when we see them. |
Quite unfortunate for the young lad but the friend is being silly. Instead of contacting his CLO ... LI then ZI to State Coordinator he was busy chatting with the DG. Does the DG live in Kebbi or is he a medical doctor? If there is anyone that failed the deceased young man it was his friend. This is the result of not going for orientation seminars and lectures It seems this blame game has become a culture every numbskull looking for sympathy and subtly dishing emotional blackmail. If he is tired of doing national service he should de-list and return home. Nonsense! I can imagine how the DG would wake up and see his name all over the internet as the reason and cause for the poor boy's death. |

Joshthefirst:Let's define ignorance as holding unsubstantiated beliefs and beliefs that cannot be proven true or false. Then truth as an objective fact that is testable and reproducible. That said, how does religion and christianity fit these definitions? I can't think of how to address you and your cohorts, because you are a combination of several levels of wrong thinking and ideology and will need patient and intensive intellectual and logical discussions of reason to at least realize the wrongness of your worldview, even if you choose to remain in it. Try and look at history at least, at the birth of the scientific age, and see that the men who founded the scientific method were men of faith. Look and see that any ideology of ignorance and persecution of any people for their beliefs will always result in darkness and oppression. The Marxist nation's forced atheism on their people(at least they had guts enough to use force) and the result was violence and oppression. It is only persecution when it is not christianity or religion is doing the oppression. The Spanish inquisition, the crusades, the reformation clashes and the muslim conquest of the Ottoman empire were not persecution on others. Christianity moved from victims of persecution to oppressors as soon as Constantine adopted christianity and sort to unite the Roman empire with a state religion. That by the way, men who founded the scientific method may have had beliefs of some sort but the scientific method was not found because of beliefs the individuals had. The oppressors in Nigeria are all religious folks. Very spiritual but highly intolerant and wicked. Today, nobody is forcing anyone to become atheists rather people are only exposing the unfounded and bogus beliefs that has held a large number of people captive. Beliefs that an increasing large number of progressive people are leaving behind because not only are they untrue but are the most divisive institutions present today. What angers me the most is the way you rationalize murder and try to justify murdering of unborn humans in the womb. I'm disgusted at the way your foolish worldviews have caused you to devalue human life and justify taking it for selfish reasons as right and good.I am also repulsed by the thought of forcefully removing a developing foetus but I rather leave the moral dilemma for the mother, the father and the doctor or quack. I personally think it is irresponsible for anyone to get pregnant and always choose to go for serial abortions. However, some medical conditions and situations may require one and it would be very wicked to deny anyone the right to have an abortion. |
Sapiosexuality:How did you arrive at that? Advancement in medicine and science are a composite of individual contributions within research groups, even today individuals are contributing to the body of knowledge in the sciences. I agree many religious people are not stupid, however, Nigerian pentecostalism - a flourishing descendant of the American evangelical and pentecostal groups - is a pantheon of many of the most ignorant and deluded set of people. Within those circles ignorance is glorified, stupidity is encouraged and irrationality is coined as faith and this is nauseating. Nobody really complains about the more conservative orthodox faiths which has all the good history or the non-invasive moderate islam but most if not all the backlash on christianity and its detrimental effects on Nigerians is always focused on pentecostalism and the likes. Pentecostal apologetics typically use christian scholars, to promote their cause but even the distinguished scholars of christianity from Augustine, Athanasius, Origen to Luther, Zwingli and Calvin would consider all pentecostals heretics, a perversion of their doctrine of god, and you should know what the fate of heretics was. Check Arius and Nestorius. So when some people talk about old scientists believing in god, you should ask which one because even within christianity there are many gods, which one is yours? Scientists may have been religious 500 years ago but they didn't have the internet, they didn't know that DNA fingerprinting proved Darwin right and it is extremely ignorant to argue with evolution especially using god and creation as the alternative explanation. They never explored space, they did not have evidence of fossils that show that Humans existed at least a 100,000 years ago. That the earth is about 4 billion years ago and the world was indeed not created in 6 days. Christianity and Islam are relatively young religions of about 2000 years ago so what happened to the other humans 92,000 years ago? God didn't reveal himself to them or they didn't look like him then? what of us black people? did the all knowing Jesus not see anything wrong with slavery and in fact we came to know he died for us to save us through colonialism and slavery. Ask yourself if it is really sensible to believe all this crap when with google and your smartphone you can look for all the answers about your reality and history and the world? then one idiot would tell you that god likes this and that and that you rob him. How did they know god is a man? There are still many erudite scientists today that believe somehow in christianity but I would place my last penny that none active in research would subscribe to the nonsense version of christianity common in Nigeria. |
Doctors are not scientists and there are many of them like that and it only supports my assertion of training education as opposed to the kind that inspires research and has brought about all the modernities present today. Also, i think quite a number of medical practitioners would relate to 'spiritual healing' of some of their patients albeit rare, however, it does not make christian theology or islamic teaching true. They are far too inefficient to be relied upon. God is too inefficient in his/her/its healing to be taken seriously, not even worth anyone's time if we analyse such beneficial unexplained occurences statistically. The mixture has a significant potential of being toxic and harmful. JackBizzle: |
Spirituality is indeed therapeutic that's why there is a growing number of people who meditate, however, they leave out all the bogus stories of Adam, Eve, Moses and Mohammed. Besides, the form of christianity common in Nigeria is the love child of superstition and ignorance. No reasonable human being would look at pentecostals in Nigeria and call them spiritual Who would even read the New Testament and continue adherence to Nigerian pentecostalism? The irony is that early church fathers were men of high intellect and christian literature has quite interesting arguments, of course with gory history. Faith healing? I would believe when there is accurate faith diagnosis before the healing that way the 'futility' of education and medicine would be illuminated by the power of god. People should be pushing for better healthcare not more faith in nonsense. The president is a very religious man but he is in London getting treatment. Deizani, also very religious, is still alive in London getting treatment. Let me add they are being treated by Sikhs, Hindus and atheists and of course they don't object but they come back and build more churches and religious centres and do massive thanksgivings. Aren't black people retarded? Just so you know, the previous ghanian president died in a military hospital in his country. These are indicators of how optimal the education and health systems are in a country. You, or anyone else can continue being religious, but I'd only advise that you use religious lingo to explain nothing other than your spirituality because anything other than that is false and only exposes one's ignorance. Sapiosexuality: |
That right there is how ridiculous religious beliefs make people appear. Imagine reading a medical textbook written by the first doctor I have my views on abortions, and I only agree with medical reasons for it but I've always been for the legalisation so that people would go for adequate treatment rather than endangering their lives from treatment by quacks. JackBizzle: |
Poor educational system is relatively no education. The system is broken, outdated and ontop of that people cheat their way through the system. Isn't Nigeria the only country on the planet where you hardly find any foreign student in its universities? It is no coincidence that the people are backward. Even within the best and most functional educational system, there are religious people that is why I mentioned that people can be highly trained professionals but remain as superstitious as the yamamamos of the amazon forest. JackBizzle: |
Interesting post OP. Personally, I find it tiresome replying certain religious folks masquerading as knowledgeable people. One mind-boggling realisation I arrived at after I became enlightened enough to go beyond religion and its myths is that I really knew nothing about the world if indeed my creed was false. I have a friend who cannot speak for more than three sentences without mentioning god - "If god bless you with a boy...god gives you a good woman...god helps you...god gave them the brain...god will make you see" etc - but I'm always quick to remind him that I don't share the same world view and that he should learn to hold a conversation without including such. He would get the shock of his life when eventually finds out that he actually knows nothing useful or true and is no different from his ancestors who also held unfounded myths and worse is the realisation of all the time and money wasted on his religion. Given a choice, most people would rather choose what makes them feel good than what is true anyway so I doubt he, like many nigerians, would ever get there. Good lad though. 2) Survivalist mentality.I particularly like this point you made, surviving is hard and I think this should be the only excuse (and I'm not one for excuses) Nigerians should make, not slavery or anything else. Focus on self and being materialistic isn't bad at all but I think Nigerians are just perfectly fine with surviving and do not (or is it cannot) see the bigger picture. No desire for leaving a legacy, no thought for what they would be remembered for or as, just live large and die. Some are even tired of living but instead of going quietly would rather wish/pray for their religious apocalypse to come quickly and take the rest of the people with them. Education, as Horace Mann put it: beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equaliser of the conditions of men, the balance-wheel of the social machinery. The lack of education is the main reason for Nigeria's backwardness and by this I mean education that brings enlightenment. How can one truly be learned about the world and reality and still believe nonsense? I believe there are two facets of education, the first for learning how to think rationally in order to ask questions that would eventually lead to solving problems; and the other for training such as learning to become a doctor, an engineer, an architect, a lawyer, even a scientist that is why even highly educated professionals continue to hold on myths of bronze ages to the same degree as those that lived then even after they may have learnt how microorganisms cause disease and could probably do an open-heart surgery. The latter is what black Africa has or was brought to them. We were and are continually being trained to become priests, imams, to read, to treat people and to do as the master did or does. We weren't given true education otherwise not many would hold on to unproductive local traditions and superstitions of abrahamic religions. Another thing, it takes a certain level of IQ to become an atheist (one who knows why) so I don't sweat it anymore trying to explain my viewpoint to people who do not even know about the religion they so unconsciously defend. Here in London, there are quite a number of young people wearing "I'm a muslim - ask me a question" T-shirt but I wonder how many of these teenagers have indeed read the Quran and would continue to wear the T-shirt after reading it, after they really understand that it is because some people believe every word of it wholeheartedly that is why they are justified in killing the 'infidels.' In Nigeria where an alleged gay writer was abducted but most people were only concerned about where his genitals goes into rather than his whereabouts. Justified this horror with some calling for death for all of them. Only religion/superstition can do this to the mind. Not once had it even crossed their minds that their Lord Jesus Christ might have been wrong when he said '...in the beginning he created them male and female' (Matt 19:4) or that the holy books didn't drop from the sky. As it was when the Queen of England landed on African soil and it was narrated to be the land of savages. Sadly, with the internet, ubiquitous information and technology, so it is today that many are just savages in fine clothes with sophisticated phones and nice cars. Not much different from their ancestors in their minds. They know how to read and use the internet but do not know how to learn. Education! Education!! Education!!! illuminates. Science is the candle in the darkness of superstition. Let me share a wonderful comment I found on a book review: Critical thinking, methodical intellectual habits, reliable epistemology, all boil down to this: creating for yourself a bin of ideas that are as reliable as you can muster, and keeping that separate from all the other ideas, and all the other claims of unknown provenance that are floating around. And that bin needs to be safeguarded. What we call "science" is really just the bin of the best and most sound ideas we have. The only way for an idea to end up in that bin is for it to pass a series of tests. And the only way it can stay in that bin is for it to continue to pass tests. And by and large, the "wisdom" of "holy books" has not passed tests. The ideas in religions cannot pass those tests. And people plead for special exceptions, saying, "Well, you should let this idea in because it cannot be disproven." But that's not the question, whether or not it can be disproven. You cannot let an idea into that bin that hasn't passed any tests, and it doesn't get a free pass simply because there's no way to test it. That bin is only for ideas that have passed tests, period. If an idea cannot be tested, and cannot be gauged for it's proximity to "truth." It's truth value remains unknown. But that bin is only for ideas whose proximity to "truth" can be gauged. This is not to say anything about those untestable ideas. They could be true, or they could be false, or anything in between. But that bin is not for ideas that might be true, on the off-chance. It is only for ideas that can pass tests. And those are the only ideas we should be willing to accept as having any approximation to truth. Every individual should have a bin like this for themselves in their own mind. |
You're worrying about the wrong thing. Focus on graduating with a first. As for jobs, it doesn't matter which university, it's extremely competitive for everyone. DilaRocks: |
