Any man that tries to use money to control His woman is not being smart. Life goes up and down. The two are expected to be one. But you were with your wife in competition. Your sense of self worth was tied to your networth and you respect for your wife was commensurate to what she had in Her purse. Now you want to apologize only because she is earning more than you and that makes you feel less of a Man. Did she tell you she wants your apologies? Better continue earning your 600k and taking care of your family responsibilities. Don’t try to compete with your wife, because you might die before your time. Focus On becoming a better human being all round. |
Why are the parents protesting? Why don’t they withdraw their wards from Oyun Baptist School and send them to Oyun Muslim School? How would they feel if someone wore a rosary or reverend sisters clothing to an Islamiya school? |
MufasaLion:What goes through thier mind is how they can shameless loot the treasury by any means necessary, including thuggery , so that they can travel more frequently to see the development in other nations. |
jesmond3945:I did not forget. As I said before; you are focused on the problem. I focus on solutions to and opportunities in the problems , e.g I adjust pricing for inflation where possible , but most importantly and as much as possible I/We always buy in bulk for both Home and Business supplies, which also gives me room to negotiate cheaper prices. It saves not only direct costs but even indirect costs in the time, effort and money expended from frequently shopping for supplies, piece-meal. |
jesmond3945:Yes. But you are seeing the cup as half empty. Some people like me are taking advantage of the naira falling to boost our foreign exchange earnings, savings and investments. Through out history, Many wealthy made their wealth in times of war and crisis, even during pandemics, like Spanish flu or COVID… Every challenge or problem is an opportunity in disguise. |
jesmond3945:You don’t understand, countries like America are great because the people really believed it when John F. Kennedy said “think what you can do for your country not what your country can do for you”. It is not governments but individuals that built America , till tomorrow. Stop focusing on the problem, become the solution. At least , after you have fed yourself and your family. Life is more than about food. |
jesmond3945:So why not use that problem as an opportunity? Why run away to another Man’s country? If their people ran away during their own evil days , do you think they would be where they are today? From some perspective, a lot of the Japaing , especially to go and do menial jobs we would never dream of doing in Naija is a neo-slavery. A new form of slavery where the slave willingly enslaves His or Her self. |
Equity15:Many people are making more than 200k naira in Nigeria and many people are making less than £140 in the UK. But that is not the point? The point is £140 is really not a lot of money any where in the world. If you can raise money to Japa, or you can risk the high seas to run away from naija or if you are ready to wash toilets for just enough money to eat in the Uk, then why don’t you invest half of all that money, risk, energy and over optimism in where you are first? Traveling to improve yourself is always good, but traveling to run away? Do you know where or what you are running to? |
Equity15:Many people are making more than 200k naira in Nigeria and many people are making less than £140 in the UK. |
poweredcom:Ok. It’s now 20% , no longer “ALL”. Well, that sounds more arguable , going by the 80:20 rule. Cheers. |
PrinceOfLagos:What about south- south, north central and middle belt, why not their turn as well? |
This is the kind of collective strategy I advise the south- easterners to take. Can they put their individual egos aside and focus on the common good?? |
dlordy100:I will never advise any young Nigerian not to travel, my main issue with many of them is their assuming that things are automatically better over there , just because there are shining lights. Life every where comes with its own challenges. They have their own kind of issues that you will have to deal with. Our internal environment not the external is what ultimately determines whether we find happiness or not in this world. Rather than run away from which I derive my identity and in which I am so invested; I would work towards having the kind of resources that allow me to go anywhere in the world whenever I want or need to and for as long as i need to, until I come back home. |
Rayd502:Exactly. You can Google basic monthly living expenses in the UK and you will see that the figures I put are very realistic , even for a very modest life over there. |
Neymessi:It is how you are seeing that makes it look irresponsible. You are looking at it through a colonized prism of what is acceptable. |
poweredcom:You have confirmed my suspicions I.e you are biased against Nigerian gals of today, and have concluded that they are ALL useless. Meanwhile i know that is not a fact, because I know many young gals who are not useless. |
Omniman:This is a more realistic and practical way to look at it. ~£ 72 * 20 working days = £ 1440 per month ~Minus 30% on taxes = £1008 ~Minus average monthly rent of £600= £ 408 ~Minus monthly utility bills (gas and water) @ £50 = £358 ~Minus food/housekeeping per month @ £ 150 = £208 ~Minus phone bill @ £38 = £170 ~Minus transport @ £30 = £140 ~£140 divided by 20 working days = £7 per day for clothing, leisure, savings, and/or sending back to your people in naija, so that they can come and join the hustle. |
poweredcom:According to who? First of all, He said girlfriend, not fiancée not wife. So let’s stay focused. Now why is the “adventurous” girlfriend a harlot and the adventurous boyfriend not a male hoe? What’s my problem? Nothing , except that I think you have a problem with applying double standards. |
poweredcom:And Women don’t like adventure? |
poweredcom:All you can see is How SHE is living a double life. You conveniently omitted the fact that HE was doing same by joining the same group. Who knows whether She is not even the good one using this as a means to test Him. |
Stephen2324:Hahaha, you deserve each other. Lol. |
Because there are too many broken people getting into marriage, and broken people break things. |
My advice to you is to continue like everything is normal. Don’t react aggressively or violently like some small boys are advising you here. Rather than Re-act, just act as a normal human, with empathy and compassion for human misbehavior. Concerning anything she does, Don’t complain. Just ignore it, without acrimony. Try this for a few days. She how she behaves. |
ayindejimmy:I have not assumed anything. That is why I asked my initial question. Maybe you knew something we didnt, but apparently, you don’t. |
Sensie:The British Council does a couple of things. What exactly do you need help with? Be more specific. |
ayindejimmy:Are you saying that people only confess when they are caught? Stop basing your arguments purely on assumptions, it’s a weak approach. |
ayindejimmy:When, where and for what, was Banky W, caught? |
Rolly22:Blockchain is a technology that crypto is running on. It is not the same as crypto. Blockchain is considered by some analysts as being overhyped by its investors. We still have a lot to learn. "blockchain technology, in terms of actual usage, has so far been hugely disappointing - Bitcoin has failed to make significant traction with anyone except criminals and speculators, no-one's exchanging land via the blockchain... Blockchain will have uses, no doubt, but it will continue to disappoint those that think it's the next big thing. Because it isn't." - Asim Qureshi |
Rolly22:The real TRASH is your inability to admit that you have no reasonable counter argument, thus you resort to being TRASHy. Lol. |
First of all, Who is CZ? |
Rubbiish:Balanced reporting does not mean there must be positive and negative. It means all reasonable perspectives have been considered, yet the overall conclusion can still be negative. |
The Man is a wiseman. It would have been a mistake to hand over stuff to the son on a platter. Let Him work for it. As per the sister running the business, why not? Her Mum is on Her way out. Can she handle the stress of running the business? Can she come up with fresh ideas? At least She still has a say on major transactions. I wish the young Woman all the best, and pray the prodigal son will come back to His senses., |
