Oba is not a good location. Most of their customers are from Northern and western Nigeria. And Onitsha head bridge is the entry point into eastern Nigeria. This makes it easier from customers from other part of Nigeria
Don't you know there's a road being built that connects from head Bridge to Oba?

The road may be nearing completion now cos early 2021 when I was in Oba last they were really pushing the work.

Not a bad idea if you ask me.

The last time I checked, you guys are not among the the top three richest business men in Nigeria. You think you're better business people than the average Hausa man who prides himself in selling farm produce or a Fulani man whose herd can buy some of your businesses?

Later you will come here and start lamenting about your tribe being sidelined when it comes to national affairs forgetting that you're reaping what you've sown. The earlier you understand the fact that as vital as the human brain is, it is useless if there are no organs available for it to control, the better for you.

The fact that the Yorubas aren't into spare parts importation, livestock farming... doesn't mean they can't likewise other tribes; it's just a country practicing division of labour by default.

Trust me, you need paradigm shift inorder not to pass on this shallow mindset of yours to your innocent generation.

Finally, business isn't all about selling spare parts, building materials, and electronics; real estates, fintech, and other corporate establishments are also businesses.

CHANGE YOUR PARIDGM BECAUSE MEDIOCRITY IS CONTAGIOUS.

I don forget, VOTE PETER OBI
You jumped to the conclusion that he's Igbo cos of his statement and you're here preaching? cheesy cheesy

FYI that idiot is an Urhobo man from delta state.

Now look in the mirror and give yourself the same advice you gave him cos your bigotry sticks out like a sore thumb!

Too rash!!

Man Lagos still remain the best. Feeding many people in this nation is not easy for such a state. So all this unnecessary insult doesn't fit.

Everyone and his way Sha
I agree that auch insults are unwarranted and must be condemned.

However we must do away with such mentality that informs views like yours that Lagos is feeding many people. Those making a living in Lagos pay their fair share of taxes and continue to give their quota in the said development of Lagos?

People like you are those that pay tens of millions in naira in school fees abroad and still think that country did you a favour...or you get a job and you feel they organisation did you a favour.

It's called a mutually beneficial relationship cos if those people you think Lagos is feeding leave what happens to the state?

Wake up and dump such servile mentality.

People work so hard and give back to the state even sometimes much more than the state ever gave them!

the same peter obi that nobody dare criticize even as an aspirant,I can’t imagine what will happen if he becomes president n they criticize him

Just imagine mbaka church locked up cos he criticize peter obi, imagine what will happen to people who criticize obi once he becomes d president?
They said it’s d Catholic Church that is trying to stop mbaka from talking politics but d questions are

Where was d Catholic Church when mbaka was insulting buhari?
Where was d Catholic Church when mbaka was romancing nnamdi kanu?
But the moment mbaka criticize their catholic project then he became a devil

Meaning mbaka can criticize anyone he likes without backlash but he must not touch their catholic project

If a church can b locked for criticizing peter obi even when he’s just an aspirant n he himself being a Christian, what will happen to a mosque that criticize him once he becomes d president?
First nobody locked any church but Mbaka, after several warnings in the past, has been suspended as a priest by the church.

He is not the first neither will he be the last priest to be suspended by the church.

He has been breaching the church's rules for donkey years and has had several warnings in the past. He's even been suspended before!

I don't understand how anyone in good conscience will be rooting for a Yoruba presidency after 16yrs combined of presidency and vice presidency in the last 23 years. Or a northerner after Buhari just did 8 years.

Pure greed!

One good thing about injustice and wickedness is that there's enough of that in the country to go round and when it's at your door step make sure to swallow it as a man cos nobody will come to your aid cheesy

Why is this man acting this way ?
One problem with the East , they find it hard to support there own. If it’s the north no matter how bad he is, they support.
And where has sheepish support for their own kept Nigeria today?

You people say you want competence on one hand but on the other, you're so easily swayed by ethnic and religious considerations.

What you have described is called herd mentality usually found in herd animals such as sheep. If found in humans then such a people are not significantly more advanced than herd animals.

Till date, no execution.
Yes they did.

They have an energy business in Nigeria too but don't get involved in bribery and that's why they've never won any serious projects in the country (at least to my knowledge).

MODIFIED

So I checked it out and apparently there was a deal signed in 2019 for implementation of an electrification road map.

Was a significant deal for both Nigeria and Germany.

Hope it's well implemented and I believe it will be cos we're in good hands with Siemens.

PoliticsRe: MUSLIM-MUSLIM Presidential Ticket Is A Red Flag For Christians by TheRealestGuy(m): 7:01pm On Jun 12, 2022
iCauseTrouble:
Tinubu picking a Muslim running mate will be an easy win for Peter Obi.
The Muslim votes will be shared between Tinubu and Atiku. Don't forget that Christians dominate the North Central Nigeria. If Christian choose to vote based on religious differences, then, Peter Obi should come out victorious.
That said, I just hope we stop bringing religion, tribe and ethnicity into issue of national discourse. Most advanced countries vote based on competence and not because of tribe or religion
Your last paragraph is something I disagree with.

Unfortunately we arent America, and the reality of tribal and religious considerations cannot be wished away.

In a multicultural and multi religous society like ours, there is a need to be deliberate about inclusive and equitable governance.

One of Buhari's many failures was his inability to properly manage those cultural and religious differences.

Mixing an open support for Sharia with a heavy dose of callousness and clannishness was always going to make for a terrible ending.

Cheers.

I wish either SE/NE to have a shot of that presidency but circumstances not allowing them. Peter Obi might be a good candidate infact I respect his charisma, but under that party he can't be president . A vote for LP is assumed a wasted vote ..... My opinion tho

We will having osun election next month, by God's grace am voting out Apc , Oyetola must go but national level , separate entity sad

States that borrowed recklessly (e.g. Osun and Imo) are feeling the heat right now and some of them can't even afford to pay their civil servants full salaries!

ACCOUNTABILITY.

If you choose to stay in that toxic work place then you have no one else to blame when you begin to reap what you have sown, after all you made that choice despite being fully aware of the consequences of your choice.

You are right my brother, we Yorubas don't really carry religion for head like gala unlike others especially northerners . Remember sir , state politics is quite different from national ooo , and there are something we must put in place especially when the country is boiling, we are much more divided than ever before .

I can bodly tell you , much of we Yorubas hate this present govt but cos' a yoruba man is vying for office of the president under them we got no choice than to vote them . Normally it's turn of we christian to govern for equity and justice , but the situation we find ourselves now , we can afford to lose the presidency and even VP . It just a big NO . sad
On one hand you talk about "some things we must put in place especially when the country is boiling".

On the other hand you're confirming that you're only supporting APC because their candidate is of your ethnic group.

Where then is the equity? You don't mind scheming out others just to brag about your tribe being in power without considering others.

Yoruba cannot have done 16 yrs of president and VP in the last 23 years of democracy and have any legitimate claim to either sits.

It isn't too late to do the right thing anyway.

If you're still bound by ethnic and religious sentiments then it means you're one of those dragging humanity backwards.

Obasanjo gave the Ijaws the opportunity to be president.

How come this mastery of politics never translated into a better life for the average Yoruba man in the last few decades?

You think thuggery, ethnic jingoism, wanton corruption and godfatherism is mastery of politics? I'm really sorry for you sad

Those you refer to as prolific politicians are simply criminals and looters of our common patrimony who have weaponised hunger and poverty to continue to subjugate dolts like you!

2- God used Jagaban to made him governor

3- Jagaban and Oshobaba stood by him and raised his hand up as APC governorship candidate even when Buhari said vote for me as president and vote for your choice candidate as governor

4- Again Jagaban and Oshobaba stood their ground even when Amosun supporters threw pure water sachets and cassava flakes at them. Buhari couldn't summon the courage to announce him as APC governorship candidate while Osibanjo was no where to be found.

5- Like APC, PDP too had factional group in Ogun state, Kashamu versus Baba Ijebu, the reason why Atiku never bother to visit the state during his campaign so as not to receive the APC treatment.

6- Dapo and Osibanjo wanted to rewrite history of how Osibanjo made him governor.

It is not about any individual, Nigeria is a Federation, the states have to come alive & take charge of their responsibilities & comparative advantage, this is democrazy, the era of military one man show ended in 1999.

Plain simple you Nigerians don’t understand the system of government you are practicing, you are still living in colonial & Military mentality.

Take for example after 23 years of uninterrupted democracy, they are still whining about a so called military constitution that is in their power to change.

Who takes those kind of people as serious minded?
Lol.

Do you know how rigorous the process to change the constitution is?

Executive powers still trump all the others and there's the exclusive list within which a lot of sectors are hosted. The hands of state governors are tied in many many ways!

You sound like you don't even know what you're talking about.

Anyway, we can agree to disagree. I know for sure that a determined outsider can change the fortunes of the country by making radical decisions that would affect things like cost of governance, corruption, comatose health and education sectors, etc.

It has happened in other countries and can happen in Nigeria.

Nigeria is deeply *INFECTED* and the bitter truth is that there is no "overnight" cure, the best we can hope for is a "vaccine". Anyone with basic knowledge of biology knows that to create a "vaccine" you need to take the virus and "modify" and inject it back into the body, what I'm saying in essence is that the solution can only come from the problem itself, meaning we need a politician that has been part of the system and knows the problem in 2023 not a green horn. That's why I will be voting for PROF!! angry
You are only talking about curing the illness which seems okay to the layman but is myopic.

The country needs a radical transformation, a complete disruption of the old ways and an overhaul of the civil service - processes that will attempt to tackle the root causes of the infection!

It has been well researched that innovation and disruption can only come from outside and never from within.

For the records, even Peter Obi cannot lead this radical disruption and transformation I talk about.

I repeat, only a total outsider can carry out these things and only with this can Nigeria ever be great.

I rest my case.
