They should go for the kill in Abuja and stop attacking everywhere else. The government is laughing at them while they are busy, in venial traits, destroying their own places. If they want the whole world to see, they should head to Abuja and start kidnapping politicians, lawmakers inclusive. That is when people will start to take them serious, but the sad thing about Nigeria is, even at that, they will still turn deaf ears. Nigeria Government doesn't care how else the whole world sees them, long as they are getting the minty currencies, everything else is good and if not good, should never be bothered. It's a real shame.

I simply would assume this thread was posted by an amateur as regards to relationship and marriage and therefore needs advice from experienced ones. WIth all due respect, i have noticed with regret that most young men especially those that is below 30 years discussed marriage on this trend without knowing truely what love and marriage especially is all about. marriage is an institution of its own for two matured minds and not for young men and women. love is affordable and you can afford any amount of love you viced for from any women or else Ojukwu wouldn't had had any thing in contact with Bianka or so. this illustration is similar with the topic on board.

Therefore, i would advice the young men on this trend to focus their mindset on their future rather than mind-boggling on marriage because whether you marry a disable or a normal person, marriage as it is easy to pronounce is not a bed of roses.
Maybe you're just yet to see your supposed "matured" men and women perform below average compared to your acclaimed "amateurs". This is a public forum and people can create any thread as long as it doesn't directly or indirectly insult any sect of people; I see a point in what you're saying but this is a www where people can discuss whatever they want. Maybe the poster is about to hop in a relationship with a disabled person and wants to juxtapose that alongside what his friends' and family's reaction might be.

@ Poster
I don't think dating a deaf person is a problem, you can pretty much describe any info you want to pass across to her and may I tell you that these disabled people have acute intelligence because they engage other parts of their CNS into constant action trying to understand everything that goes around them so they won't be left out of the scoop. For instance, a blind person can easily tell someone's presence a few miles away, they have great sense of perceiving smell and they can differentiate different smells for different people, voice inclusive. Even when you stealthily make your way into the house, they can tell you are in. Their intuition is always spot on.

Dumb and deaf can understand anything and are always jovial too, however, don't provoke them because an Army of a thousand soldiers can't stand their wrath, but make them happy and you'll see how your happiness will turn into manifolds of untold pleasure.

in my opinion, there are many advantages of jumping from one relationship to the next (until you find the right person).
first of all, you will have an idea of the differences in relationships (aka experience), differences that you wouldnt see/notice if you had been with only one person in your life. many people settle for less because they believe that this is the way IT should be while it isnt.
EXAMPLE: if you are trained in only one style of dancing, then you are lacking unless you only stick to going to clubs playing that kind of music. knowing multiple style of dancing wont make your dancing experiences in these clubs any better but it would give you an idea of what you are missing OR NOT. it could also help you get your own "dance style"

if your ideas and point of views of a relationships are based on your experiences that may have been with a deadbeat then you are lacking serious experiences in life and will never be ready for real life.
jumping from one relationship to the next, you would have some experiences with women, as any person out there would know, it is DAMN difficult (if not impossible) to understand women.
in order for men  and women to understand each other fully, we need to experience different "models" of each other. a person who has only been with a fantastic/great person will never know the value of that person if she/he is the only one he ever dated and therefore might not value this relationship as much as they should.
in order to know whats good, bad or better you have to have something (within you) to compare it with. yes we can look around us but we can never truly know how it feels to be in the shoes of others until we are there.
EXAMPLE: if my mother was making the best eba in the world then the day my wife does it and it really is disgusting, i could safely tell her that:"honey, this is rubbish", if i didnt know any better then i would say:"hhmmm how tasty"

THEN we have the "bedroom department". although many people will say the contrary, i can safely say that many men who never knew anyone other than their spouse will be more tempted to "taste the waters around" than someone who has had some sexual experiences before (unless the wife was open minded enough to try "everything" once).

jumping from one relationship to another isnt suppose to be fun, but it is a necessity to be a better man/woman at marriage because MARRIAGE is not easy.
some people "think" that they have it all but how can they be sure of that fact if they dont know any better?! i mean i am not saying that you should try the extreme of both world but you have to have a taste of something different at least.
also, the only way that a man can TRULY choose a lifelong mate is by first dating and discovering him/her then deciding on that fact. there is no two ways about it. so during this dating period, you are discovering things that can either be good or bad in your"book". if the flaws you discover about this person are just too  much for you to bare then you just have to repeat that process with the next guy in your life until you find that special person.
nobody should ever settle for less and therefore, like everything else in life, some comparison is needed to know something's value

how many out there have made mistakes in their love life that destroyed a past relationship? mistake made because of your immaturity/lack of experiences in being and sharing your life with someone. i say better make these mistakes with someone you are dating, learn from your mistakes, get back on your feet and be a better person than making these mistakes with someone that you might share the rest of your life with.
marriage was never meant to be insulted/abused for the rest of your life because of ONE error.
Were you reading my mind? I was just going to say that.

in my mind, knowing that this guy was the father is not the problem. my problem would be discovering how low the woman i just married could go and that i would have to be extra careful from that point on. if she has no respect for such the friendship she had with her best friend then i dont think her views about marriage are any different. it would have showed me that this women is weak and that hurting her loved ones is NOT a problem to her.
dumping her right there is not an option because she could be a totally different person with me and also i would have made a commitment to that child so i would try to stick with even if the father is around.
the fact that the father is the best friend's husband doesnt mean that i wouldnt have a relationship with that kid, if the mother is my wife then that kid will be my step child and surely enough, i might be the "father figure" for that kid since the biological father is a rat. if someone has to be punished in all this mess, it is definitely not the kid.

some men give their whole life to women and therefore when they realize that they have been duped, they can be either pretty vicious or loose their bloody mind all completely. also, when you look at how 9ja men look for excellence and "purity" in their women, you can imagine how much lie and deceit you will find in todays couple. i am sure there are many women who have done their fair share of "slutting" and then got hold of some gullible guy and change their ways but if you scratch the surface you will find hell.
the problem is that people cant/wont stand for what they are and what they believe in. if you have fire in your pants then make sure that the woman/man you marry knows full well of what kind of person they are getting down with. so that they can perform and take care of you accordingly. many guys also want to have "correct" women at their side to be their wives but what they really need are freaks (just like them). the ideology of a beautiful wife to have the children and be seen with and then some mistress to fulfill all my freaky fantasies. i say TURN YOUR WIFE INTO THE FREAK YOU DESIRE.
i mean, check this following thread about what men want sexually and ask yourself how many of these men would expect it from their wives?
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-296517.0.html

now ask these posters the same question putting "your wife" instead of "your partner" in it and see the difference.
Yes, the kid should be the ultimate because whether little or much, I may have imparted a lot in the child's life and that has to be the first thing for me to consider. Also, I do believe worse things have happened in marriages and it was let go . . . . I will only act on the second time she does anything of such, you know why? Because that will amount to her cheating on me, as for this one, I believe that's her past and I should be able to deal with the secret that's open(I must express doubt however that he never slept with her while he was coming by the house when I wasn't home) but that's something I have to deal with and sweep under the rug? I'll be more concerned about the child, I might at some point fight to have the child after all, he was born into my hands --- in the African sense, he'd be my step child but what's step child got to do with this when I took his responsibility from when he was a fetus to when he came to live? It has no relation so he's mine and who knows, I just might win him in court if I have the right attorney; I've seen that before. The action is grievous and I must say will create some lackluster trends on my trust palate for her, but I will try very hard to trust her again without holding any back or suspecting every move she makes.

On the second subject you made, I don't think any man has the moral justification to insist he wants a "completely good" woman because there isn't any. We all have had our share of bad deeds, in fact, I should tell you that some people dare not expose what they have done in public or they are in ruins and these same hypocrites will want a "perfect" woman as if there was any. I read the thread and oh it's funny, really it is. The question is, if they were to get married, will they marry a girl that acts like they have obnoxiously but sexually described? I wouldn't think so. That's when you see different comments coming from different quarters that "she's got too much experience in bed, what was she doing?" "she's a slut" and all of that BS. My humble assessment is, when a man gets married to a woman, he'd be ready to receive a shocker and when he does, he'd be ready to let it go especially when it's in the past: It's shameful that some men won't deal with it as the past but treat it as if it had happened right before their eyes -- even though some of these women "do not" have options then, although I'm a certain believer that people have "choices" unless you choose to make out another excuse for whatever choice you make tagging it a "mistake" which I don't subscribe to. If a woman decided she wanted to be a prostitute, that's her choice not because anything led her to it and when she leaves(on her own without being forced) accept that she has decided to leave. There's too much hype about the past of women and that hurts their relationship with men really bad -- this should be somewhat understood by men and have these women treated nicely.

Would just like to say that just because you're 'seen it before' doesn't mean that the posters case is neccesarily the same.Don't quite understand how you know that, as debosky has stated, 'she could be really confused about what to do and not be a gold digger'. (Notice the word I used, 'could', not 'is')

I believe that was a statement in response to one of your earlier comments 'This girl is another gold digger. She's confused because she wants to take the offer and wants a tip on how to keep it on the down low from her boyfriend.'

Fair enough this could be the case, I'm not saying it is neither am I saying it isn't, but we don't know that, maybe it's just me, but you put these statements across as though you knew for a fact that this is definitely the case, everybody has their conclusions, it's just the way we put them across that matters.
She's confused because she doesn't know what to do? Why? If it was someone else from outside the family, will she keep it to herself? You might not find anything derogatory about it but that tone seems like if it was someone else from outside the family fold, this thread will never have existed. Maybe I need to state this again, why can't she tell her boyfriend? Does she have any premonition that he'll disbelieve her? Has she lied to him before that makes her think he will never believe her? This is a serious issue that any guy would take up and can never be laughed away. Does he love her? If he does, do they communicate at all? If they do, why can't she tell him? If they don't, why not? I believe her boyfriend should know the next minute his cousin tried this no matter how much he worships him; he can't possibly think she's lying against him unless she has done something of similar magnitude in the past. She has nothing to hide and may I tell you something else? If she doesn't tell him now, his cousin will keep more pressure on her and that will outburst to the knowledge of the boyfriend and do you know what happens next? The cousin will deny as will the girl and he(boyfriend) will admit they have been doing it behind his back and some sort of disagreement just blew it all out in the open. He'll leave her claiming she slept with his cousin and as the worship sting still exists between him and his cousin, they'll make up again but before he knows any further that she didn't do anything with him, the relationship is void. I'll be waiting on any guy in the house who will go against me on this one.
platinumnk:
[glow=teal,2,300] That quote was my question. [/glow]
Many women don't and some with very strong opinion do. I appreciate women who will go to any length to tell. Of course some people will take it the other way round and put it all on the woman but I believe it's the best thing for her because only then will she know she's been dealing with a jerk. When your man doesn't trust you, then the relationship isn't worth the headache -- I'm not saying he should jump into conclusions but he can at least, try to find out and know more, not even by asking the guy but by setting more traps for him and finding the truth. The women whom I have seen to keep this sort of situation away from their men, have had trouble with their men's trust level and broke the relationships while some were lucky to be believed by their men but were really blamed for not telling on the family relative. I do believe communication is important in a relationship and if such serious matters can't be discussed with your boyfriend then I wonder what else will be. What if she was raped, won't she tell him? Will she keep that to herself? If she keeps it to herself, will she be justified when he finds out he had sex with her?

@The seeker, just in case u are so stupid to knw dat this is a forum where people open up to others opinion, maybe u are too foolish 2 understand d simple ideology, don't get me wrong, ur insult are allowed but don't be stupid 2 say at my age i can't handle my emotions FOOL!! 2 head are better than one except ur dum ass, 'see who dey look 007 face'
I'll not engage in any war of words with you because I'm too hot for you to handle and because this is a public forum, I'll let your venom slide -- I'm not cut out for this vitriolic arguments. I'll explicate this:
If she loved you, she'd have waited for you. If you were in her shoes, wouldn't you have waited for her? I guess you would have. Women are known to be more patient with who they love than men would, so why the heck is she in a hurry? There's no correlation to what your age is compared to your relationship: for you to have been out of school and awaiting NYSC, you'd have been able to handle as many relationships as possible since you've been in school and if she's the only one you've been with then you'd have just known with her decision she doesn't love you enough to be with you because of "love" "happiness" and whatever else that comes with marriage. If she's not the only one you've had a relationship with since you got to school, what broke up the other relationships? Why must you get married to her because you have a car and some money? Doesn't she think you have to attain some other heights before marriage? Did she bother to ask you why you don't want to get married yet? Is she being pressured from home to get married? If you're 24, how old is she? Is she older? I believe she's younger, so why is she in haste? How sure are you that she hasn't met this guy long enough to decide to marry her? Do think ladies just jump into matrimony with a man they just met? Well, if she just met this one, then she's into it because of the money and what makes her relationship with you any different? Listen, it's hard and cold but true, she's not in love with you but with the pride she'll get by being married to you and that is what you do not understand and if you ain't no big shot like I thought, then she must have capitalized on your weakness or inability to get married right now and pulled her stunt to get married to the other guy. It's simple to see unfortunately your friends don't see this. I hope you understand this and don't insult me anymore. I won't find it so funny next time

I'm so sorry sweetheart if it came across to you that way but can you honestly and conspicuously point two posts to me where I treated my assumptions as facts and show me why I treat them as facts? When you have done that, tell me you've never seen such. I'm not slamming anyone here, anything I say here is based on things I have seen happen at least twice. I have seen this situation happen many times -- a girl slept with his boyfriend's dad because he showed her the key to a brand new Toyota Corolla 2008; do you know what happened? She slept with him and took it, they both planned it out later to tell the guy his dad loves her as his son's girlfriend and bought her the car for being a good girl. How did I get to know? She supposedly asked her friend for advice(after she has slept with her boyfriend's dad) but she didn't own up he bought the car for her at that time, now what makes that any different from this? I still say it's bullshit that she doesn't know what to do. It's a choice she has to make, not a demand she has to meet up with.
Romance › Re: Do I Tell? by TheSeeker(m): 10:58pm On Jul 17, 2009
Platinumnk, yeah that's what she's looking for. If you understand where she's coming from, she's being a little defensive. Tell me what sane guy will turn around to accuse his girlfriend of trying to seduce his family member when she tells him his own family tries to get her in bed by some other means? Do you realize she said her boyfriend knows he's arrogant as well and is full of himself? What makes you think the cousin hasn't done that to any of his previous girlfriends? We have to be realistic and understand where she is coming from? OK, let me break it down. She knows definitely it's wrong to sleep with her boyfriend's cousin, then she's scared to tell her boyfriend? Why? How long have they been together? Has she exhibited any form of habit that will make his boyfriend doubt her? What's her past like? No matter how a guy idolizes his family, if he gets to know his idol made a sexual advancement to his girlfriend, the most and worst he'd do is doubt what her girlfriend says and delve to know what's up with his girlfriend's assertion --- he won't be so foolish to ask his idol if it's true unless he's a total jerk. He'll watch and if he does he'll find out; that's a little thing for anyone with common sense to know. If a girl has a his boyfriend/husband's family member abuse her and she doesn't tell, she's a fool and a bitch!

There are many factors that call for changes and these changes appreciate along with time: the more time the clearer the changes. I'll use a female as an example. When she starts to cheat, she hides her phones from you because that's where her secrets are embedded. She deletes all call histories and leave those you're familiar with on the received and dialed calls list, your text messages are always at the top(as if she doesn't get any sms from others). She constantly picks up quarrel with you over trivial issues and hardly says sorry when she's at fault. She yells at you inconsiderably and complains too many times about things you do that she's supposed to have got used to. She always comes late for dates, makes you wait and suddenly have impromptu activities to tend. On the other hand, if she's trying not to be nasty, she becomes unnecessarily nice. She tries to spend as much as time as can at "odd" times. She calls you incessantly to sheath your suspicion. There are many things that go wrong when she's cheating. Howbeit, you have to watch these situations and ensure they last for at least 3 months before you conclude it's cheating. There are still more, but this has more to do with your intuition.

This lady is just looking for support from peeps on here to let her have a ride on the boyfriend's cousin. She's matured enough to know what to do, so why come to NL in the first place to discuss this? What's she definitely expecting from people on her? She's expecting that we tell her it's nothing bad so she should go ahead and have fun with the guy and take the car as her birthday gift. Why the hell is she keeping track of his expenses if she wasn't interested in her? Why is she listening to all the details while he was saying them if she wasn't interested? You know what sweetie, go on and catch your groove, your boyfriend won't know. I'm being sarcastic though. On the other hand, don't you think it'll be honorable enough for you to tell your boyfriend instead of hiding under a flimsy excuse that he "worships" his cousin? No matter how a guy worships his family when it comes to showing off sexual advances, most men won't bother to find out the truth, they will swing into action: an action filled with venom and hate against the culprit even if it's their father. So what makes you think you'll be on the losing end when you tell him? What do you think he's going to say? What do you think his cousin is going to tell him? Do you have anything to hide? No guy, as long as he loves his girl, allows any man to flirt with his woman, not now and never! Be real to yourself and do what you gotta do, you already know what you want
