ojaysam25:When you don't have any reasonable response, you resort to name-calling. Can you counter any of the points I raised in a logical fashion? I doubt, because the last time I checked, it's you CR7 guys that have been wailing about Messi since Friday. Note that no matter how fast the buttocks runs, the p*enis will always be ahead of it at the fore-front. ![]() No matter how many 3-0s, 4-0s or 8-2s Messi experiences, He will always be globally recognized as the greater footballer than CR7. No amount of your illogical narratives will overwrite that. I am at peace. |
For CR7 fans masturbating over Messi's potential exit. You can continue braying endlessly for as long as you want, but note that Lionel Messi has absolutely NOTHING to prove to you or anyone again whether he leaves or stays. He has won everything there is to win in club football multiple times while being the chief protagonist in almost all of those successes. Get this, as far back as 2011 after the champions league final against Man Utd, he was already widely touted as the Greatest Player of All Time by the football media and journalists. Your CR7 did not even come into the equation until just a few years ago. Everything he has achieved subsequently, only serves to consolidate his initial successes and standing as the GOAT. Messi might have lost a game 8-2, but CR7 did not even smell the opportunity to lose 8-2 just like Oxlade Chamberlain. How the lack of such opportunity suddenly makes him better than the one who excelled where he failed, beggars belief and sound reasoning. You guys simply do not know what you want. Messi stays, he gets criticized, He leaves, it's a problem for you guys. 6 will always be greater than 5. |
Sanchez01:Oga, the fact that you are an opponent of Messi doesn't deny you of the ability to think well nau. Haba! So all these years since 2017 when Messi stayed back after the Juve-debacle, Roma-disaster, Anfield-collapse don't count for his perseverance abi? Do all those not qualify as disasters and did he not stay after each result in the next season? Your CR7 also had a failed UCL campaign this season, no amount of catastrophic result Messi has experienced can change that. And I wonder why you have chosen to be so ignorant of this fact. |
Heavance: I am a Barca fan, but I agree with you on this. Shey you know that misery loves company but no hiding place for Barca over the last result.Hopefully, this will be a catalyst for Barca's resurgence. |
Nice points. I so much miss the gym because of this Covid 19. My gym is yet to open since April. The road to recovery is steep o |
honestlyman:What kind of idiotic reasoning is this? Oga, if Messi was not there against Bayern, wouldn't the same Barca still have lost scandalously to Bayern? How does that make Messi Barca's problem? You said that Messi would not have received the disgrace if he had left Barcelona. Okay o, if you didn't know, what you are actually implying by this statement is that Barca is Messi's problem and not vice versa. Barca's problem is that most of their players are old and cannot mark energetically anymore. That's why they got walloped. |
costandi:Really? What about Sade Adu? |
DrayZee:I acknowledge you have the right to troll Messi o. But abeg Lyon is very very very far from this current Bayern Munich team. Lyon and Napoli are closer in level. Let that sink in. |
CR7 people have started their trademark fake quotes just to spite Messi. It's understandable to troll your rivals. But when you start to include outright lies, then that's no longer trolling. That's acute inferiority complex. |
21cents:Don't know the player's name but see the link to the video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrwek3EPDjU Mad oh |
Flows001:Omo, e be like say person wey kill person sef better our own o. Person wey kill person no dey get up to 10 topics on front page in less than 12 hours o. If you look am well sef, even tho we no kill person, but na us dem kill for pitch ![]() |
E don do na haba. Na Barca things go full front page today. |
caprini1:Thanks for the solidarity gesture. It was even the 2-0 match that Madrid won over Barca that made me know that such a day like this was going to come for Barca this season. The way in which Madrid easily ran over Barca in the second half made me see that any decent aggressive team would cause havoc to my team. |
Maobichek:Pique is NO LONGER a competent defender. He may have one or two matches where he delivers, but often too much, it's a tale of sluggish catastrophic defending. He gets brushed past too easily. That Barca is more of an attacking unit doesn't mean they cannot have decent defenders. Man City, Bayern and PSG are cases in point. How can you say Barca's attackers are the problem, then you do not really understand the team. If the defence and midfield were strong and energetic, then the attackers would flourish as they'd be more around the opponent's 18 yard box where they can do damage than being in their own half for most of the time. The old BARCA ship has sailed, if you haven't noticed. |
eni4real:At least he was kind enough not to rub it in after he scored, unlike that player on loan that sent his parent team to relegation by scoring a last minute goal against them and his former team mates were running to beat him up as he celebrated the goal. Coutinho won me over with his gracious gesture. Funny enough, I had envisaged this kind of revenge scenario at the beginning of the season when we loaned him to Bayern. It came to pass! |
eni4real:I understand bro. It's even better here on Nairaland. On Twitter, Barca and Messi particularly are being roasted mercilessly. That Barca team lacks hungry players and competent defenders. See how Semedo caused at least three of the eight goals yesterday. |
Oh Boy. Barca just dey hear am continuously for frontpage today. Barca fans let's continue to brace up, we die here o ![]() |
No it's not in general. But it may be the end at Barcelona. He may want to switch to a new club to refresh himself. The fiasco yesterday was clearly not about Messi. It was about a failed Barca system. If you had put Zidane, CR7, Ronaldinho or Van Basten in that Barca team yesterday, the 8-goal score-line would still have been a constant, and the humiliation assured. Afterall, Suarez scored a fine goal against Bayern, yet he cannot escape being part of the catastrophy. The end cannot be based on a single game, afterall, Messi was still a beast as at last week. |
Barca's collapse yesterday was a systemic one that had been long-coming. The real problem was about the way Barca played which got them exposed against a rampaging Bayern Munich side. BARCA play without PACE and ENERGY while just relying on technical ability. It is therefore no surprise that an energetic, precise team is able to shred their lethargic defence apart with ease yet and yet again. Yes, maybe Messi might have hustled a bit more to score one goal, but there was absolutely nothing he could have done to minimize the humiliation with the lethargic way the team was set-up. Barca need to bring in ATHLETIC and technically gifted players to rebuild the team. And that entire defence needs to be overhauled as they defend like school boys. The team lacks intensity and any opponent that does a bit of strong pressing (Liverpool, Man city, Madridi) will take this current barca team to the cleaners, Messi notwithstanding. This match has just shown that a working team system beats individual prowess. Coutinho that has not been particularly brilliant even at Bayern was able to score 2 goals and had 1 assist. This shows that it was more about the team set-up than the individual players. Kudos to the Bayern coach. A working system makes an average player look good e.g Wijnaldum, Henderson, while an ineffective set-up can make a very good player look bad e.g Frenkie De Jong, Ter Stegen today. |

haryomikun:Funnily, the original poster appeared to have foreseen Messi's future dominance. This kind of post puts recent football history into perspective. See them all talking about Zidane, Cannavaro, Dinho, Henry, Rooney, with little inkling of the storm called Messi about to come and take over the football landscape. So who is gonna be the Messi of ten - fifteen years from now. Is it Mbappe, Pulisic, Ansu Fati, Rashford or Serge Gnabry? or even someone that is yet to appear on the popular football scene? |
Beverlyjean:I will be kind to you in reply. My Bugatti is way more valuable than a Ferrari, so even if I do not have enough cash, I can always liquidate the Bugatti if the Ferrari is so important for me to acquire. If I could maintain a Veyron, surely a Ferrari would not be an issue for me. So, I can definitely afford the Ferrari, but I don't WANT the Ferrari because I already have a Bugatti. That's my point. |
Techiekingee:Lol, Are you just discovering about their insatiable penchant for lying? The whole CR7 fandom hype is mainly based on LIES. They are the ones that will lie about how CR7 has the highest no of dribbles in a match They are the ones that will lie about his number of assists in a match They will keep cooking up fake quotes about what Simeone and Balotelli didn't say about Messi just to discredit him. They don't know that the more they keep lying, the more they are making it glaring that Messi is superior to CR7. Messi fans do not need to lie about his achievements on the field of play. They speak for themselves, that's why 6 will always be greater than 5. |

Thanks jare. Imagine me owning a Bugatti Veyron, you tell me you want to sell me a Ferrari, and I tell you that sorry I don't need your Ferrari cos I have a Bugatti. Then the next stupid thing to say now is that I can't afford the Ferrari? How silly that is. |
989900:It will require Nigeria Info's acceptance of the donation beforehand. Sadly, the station is unlikely to accept the funds so as not to be seen as encouraging mutiny against their regulator NBC and to avoid subsequent persecution by NBC. This is really sad what this country is turning to. |

Inception:First, you can search on twitter if there's a similar hashtag already using key words such as Nigeria info, etc and follow such thread If not, you can create a topic by putting the # in front of the topic and post on twitter or post in an existing twitter thread with many followers. |
Inception:It'll be more of a twitter movement that can make it work. Has a wider reach. All it takes is to have a trending hashtag and GoFundMe account. |
If 10,000 Nigerians contribute N500 each for Nigeria info to pay up the fine, this would send a message to the broadcasting authorities. |
Beverlyjean:You've been able to communicate nothing. Keep grasping at straws like a drowning man. You don't even know me. I think that it's even visible based on the quality of our banters so far, that my comments exude much higher "literacy" and "education" than yours. Your thoughts are muddled up, and do not reflect the experience of passing through a high quality educational institution. FYI, I work with a reputable multi-national organization. And while it is possible you may be gainfully employed, your comments do not justify that tag. |
FuckThaMod:Ode I knew you were going to take the bait. Are you blind to the below: Take your loser tag and move on. Fraudulent CR7 fan. Always twisting facts on its head. Liar Liar. It's only your kind that will take lying as a measure of intelligence.
|
Beverlyjean:Good riddance to an airhead. Masking ignorance under a cloak of pretended literacy. No amount of your reference to education can cover up for your shortcoming in the thinking department. Oya shoot another dumb comment. |
