My sons and daughters indeed. How old is he self and he's forming Grandpa |
alBHAGDADI:This your comment is worrisome supposedly from a Christian who has studied his word in detail. There is absolutely no doubt about what Jesus meant when he said you should love your neighbour as yourself. This should be reflected in your daily actions. There is no modification whatsoever in form of any "per se". The example you gave is not valid as the context is sinful. Hence, you cannot be said to be showing your neighbor love by exposing him to a sinful situation. That being said. The issue of not tithing predates Daddy Freeze, as I'm aware of several Christian scholars that do not practice tithing since decades ago. The Christian life that Jesus bestowed on us is a life of being led by the Holy Spirit and not by following rules. The quote by Jesus you cited on hypocrisy of tithing was made to the Scribes and Pharisees. Gentiles are neither of both, The context of that passage does not apply to non-Jewish Christians who uphold the main essence of Christianity which is LOVE of God and your Neighbour. Christians are not bound by the Mosaic law as explained in Hebrews. Tithing is part of this law which has been nullified by the new testament. However, the law has been replaced by Godly principles, of which the underlying principle in this context is Giving to God and Man. You cannot express love without giving. For God so LOVED the world, that he GAVE is only begotten son..... Having an understanding of this is crucial for you to know that you are not bound to a rule. Not tithing does not absolve Christians from the responsibility of giving abundantly to God and man. That is why Giving was what was emphasized for the new testament church. |
Carol of the Bells |
KingKingKing:Your comment is not well thought out. It also reeks of tribalism that you accuse others of. UBA and Zenith bank are doing very well, and they are managed by an easterner and a south southerner. Who told you FCMB is not doing badly? They are also having their challenges. |
tenmariner:Lol, He-shoots!, Long-ball, Good-header, Great tackle! etc I recently bought a Sega mega drive with the ISSS Deluxe cartridge out of nostalgia! Oh boy, I couldn't believe the characters anymore. The graphics looked shockingly poor and the players were looking very blurred. I could not believe these were the same players that thrilled me so much then (Carbone, Allejo, Capitale, Van Wijk, Costan, Zappas, Desinone, etc) Mehn, time really does put things into perspective. |
Jakumo:You write quite well. What field are you based in? if I may ask. |
I must commend the OP's write-up. It was clear and very believable. I must say that this doesn't mean other apparently contrary opinions do not have their own merits. My take is that the OP's well-articulated analysis does not present a complete picture of the value chain within the financial system, which may be more complex than what has been presented. It only speaks to the foreign transfer of funds aspect. There are so many variables. While it is obvious that the restriction on illicit foreign transfers, due to TSA, BVN.., might have reduced HSBC and Co's Nigerian client base, what the OP did not address is their investment banking portfolio performance. By this, I mean investments in stocks, bonds and other securities/financial instruments, etc. The slow recovery of the Nigerian stock market might have also influenced their exits especially where the long-term outlook for their investments is considered bad. I do not know whether the gains recorded from the foreign fund transfer are more significant than those from investment portfolio, in which case the TSA clamp down will have given impetus to their exits. My point is, it is likely not the only major factor. Irrespective of the ethical and regulatory merits of the OP's analysis, the overall fallout of HSBC and UPS's exits will still be that negative signals will be sent to the foreign investing community (not to you). And that is a crucial issue the Buhari administration has to address. |
wealthyhenry:Watermelon is the best natural way to go. Very effective with no side effects. Just eat every part of the watermelon, tissue, rind and seeds. |
Ishilove:Haa, u didnt even decode that the guy is subtly tryimg to be clever in his comment. From romance to, for instance to performance then France and lastly circumstance. Appreciate the guys witty effort in trying to wine u with rhymes na. |
This is a very unobjective self-serving post. A sham of an analysis. No iota of analytical reasoning was displayed from the village witch story the OP told. |
Oh boy, Juve na badluck o Fear Juve |
It has started. |
This deserves front page o. All the pictures will look good on any shelf CC TITOBIGZ |
This should be on the front page. Nairaland appears biased towards CR7. If it was him that put up that kind of extraterrestrial performance against Spurs, we would be inundated by CR7 threads. CC Oye0404 Lalasticlala, this thread might not include slithery serpentine characters , but you can surely help out in getting some recognition. |
poseidon12:Notwithstanding my previous comments, I agree that FD urgently needs to clearly debunk the allegation, as playing ostrich in the sand will seriously disappoint his followers, who are mostly highly cerebral. |
Partnerbiz:Agreed that the amount is significant enough to sway even the most principled minds. However, the other side to it is that, Why will Osibanjo attempt to give FD 750million? To what end politically? I am not holding brief for Osibanjo but do you think FD holds that much political weight to warrant being enticed by APC through Osibanjo? |
I know Fela Durotoye will not be involved in receiving inducements. He might have known Osinbajo from his network, but to receive bribes will seriously damage his credibility. I also do not think Osinbajo would have attempted to induce him. I mean, what's the essence, it's not like ANN is a threat to APC/PDP realistically. Also, even if true, how would FD tell his supporters to vote for APC without tarnishing his image? My submission |
OMG Villagers don dey follow CR7. Popularly known as Penaldo, Tapnaldo and Gaynaldo, Now add another; Assnaldo I mean I don't like Ronaldo, but not to the extent of wishing him this kind of scandal. However, if these allegations are true, it may lend credence to rumours that d guy is also gay, judging by his preference for the poo-hole. It's obvious that Ronaldo likes hitting all kind of targets, on the pitch and off-pitch. |

This vote is a fans category. That's why it's shocking cos I don't think Salah's goal deserves the Puskas award as it looks like the regular curlers Messi and Robben score week in week out. However, I understand that Egyptian fans are one of the most passionate in the world. Heck, they gave Salah 1 MILLION votes in the Presidential election when he wasn't even contesting! And they have just won Salah the Puskas Award! |
Luka Modric is the Best player of 2018! CR7 fans can open the book of LAMENTATIONS ChapteR 7 for more details. This is a victory for pure football, for Artistry and Impact over Statistics, a victory for the Car Engine over the Shiny Headlights, for Consistency over Periodicity. A win by a player who conducts the whole team on the pitch and dictates the rhythm of the game consistently over one who is anonymous for most of the game and then pops up to score penalties and tap-ins all over the place. If football were meant to be read only as a statistic, then Figo, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Cannavaro and Kaka will never have won the Fifa World player of the year in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007 respectively. That is for those, especially some of the indomie generation, who never learnt how to appreciate beautiful football. |
alfablondy1:You can go and give him your own pangolo award na. Please accept my handkerchief for consolation purposes. |

LesbianBoy:CR7 that is not attending the show. That is a big indication that he's going to lose as he only attends the events where he wins. Modric for the accolade! |
Welldone guys. U peeps re doing a wonderful job. Could you help determine which is an overall better car (tokunbo) to buy between a Ford Edge SEL 2011 vs Toyota Venza 2010 vs 2007 Lexus GS 300 vs Acura MDX 2006. Budget is 4 - 5.5million. Thanks. |
mhizAnnie:Lool, apparently u didn't understand he was only being SARCASTIC. By saying he was "down to earth", he meant PawPaw was very short i.e close to the ground lol. I can actually see u laughing at urself nau! |
Slimsly100:Is that not Ajantala from the book? |
joyfullyjoyous:Mehn! If I see this one I go run o! |
Gratefulheart1:But don't you think if the man's body really repelled over 30 bullets, including those that even missed target, he would have shown the bullet casings that were lodged in his vehicle. I mean that's the most important piece of evidence. If I was shot at many times unsuccessfully in a car, there is no way I would fail to present the bullet casings in the car as evidence of my miraculous escape! In truth those tears on his clothes do not look like bullet holes. #Where are the bullets? |
Door knobs are the worst harbor for germs as almost everyone uses them on a daily basis Second is the mobile phone. 90% of phone users (especially males) take their phones to the toilet. I read a research report that stated that many phones were found to carry more germs than a toilet seat! Also, I noted that up to 5 out of every 10 persons in Nigeria do not wash their hands with soap after pooing in the toilet. Most just rinse their hands with water, and then go on to handle phones, shake other people's hands and even eat with the same hands. I noticed that this habit cuts across both educated and uneducated Nigerians. In fact, many of the others that use soap don't use it properly as they'd just pick up the soap and immediately rinse their hands, chikena. The appropriate thing to do is to lather your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds before rinsing them with water. If not for your sake, please, for the sake of others whom you'd come into contact with, do change this very bad habit if you are culpable! |
Originality007:I went there to make some enquiries and I just know it is near igbesa on a large expanse of land . But Im not familiar with the landmarks in that area as I went in a chartered vehicle whose driver already knew the place. |
