asha80:You re right. The ant is very big and usually moves alone. It emits a strong repulsive odour. It's called Ikamudu in yoruba. I recall a single bite to a friend of mine in the boarding school bush then. The guy was all swollen up like a pig and he was stripped naked and writhing in pain for days with palm oil all over his body. |
deenee:You are correct. Milan provides technical service and receives management fees from IHG. However, I was only trying to use easily understandable terms to simplify the narrative. It might have been difficult for others to understand what a technical and franchise partner does. |
abiolert:Sorry, but ur comment does not apply to the topic in question. Please understand what the report is saying. Intercontinental hotel pays its investor (Milan industries)tons of money every month from its revenue based on agreement. Meanwhile, the hotel owes skye bank huge debt which had become a bad loan. Skye bank, after court order, took over management of the hotel and appointed its receiver/manager to be in charge of running the hotel. Now, the issue is that the receiver has not been remitting the moneys due to Milan because according to him, it's not sustainable in view of the debt to be recovered first. Thats why the investors are threatening to pull out and terminate the agreement. The question is if someone has owed u for long and u come to be in charge of his business, wont u pay urself back first before paying his business partners what they had been enjoying before? |
obonujoker:Your analysis is flawed. Your statements are here and there with no logical basis for your conclusions. Seems like you are working back to your answers. Firstly, being a better goalscorer in Europe means what it is; Scoring a higher number of goals within a given timeframe. Henry might not have won the UCl golden boot, but was a consistent scorer in the UCL. Heck, Drogba & Etoo never also won the UCL golden boot. If henry has a higher number of UCL goals over his counterparts then he was a better goalscorer than them. Unto CR7, Ponder over this very well; Henry scored 175premier league goals in seven seasons, won four best EPL player of the season awards, 4 times EPL golden boot. CR7 only scored 87 or so EPL goals in six seasons, won EPL best player twice and the golden boot ONCE. That he won everything Henry won does not make him a better player. On the above grounds, Thierry was a far greater player than CR7 in EPL. Heck, Alan shearer is even a greater EPL player than CR7. |
obonujoker:Which of the records I cited in my post was beaten in the EPL. You sound like you are pained by his high regard not only in the EPL! Henry won the European golden boot topscorer award in 2005 (together with Forlan), so your assertion that he did not win any goalscorer award outside the epl is completely false! Same goes for your assertions that Etoo, drogba shevchenko & inzaghi were better goalscorers than Titi, Henry outscored them all, both in the domestic leagues & the champions league. These are facts which you should check out before spewing falsehood. And for your information, Thierry was a greater player in the Premier League than CR7, regardless of your sentimental preferences. |
obonujoker:Won three premier league player of the season awards in just four years, easily the most dominant performance ever by a premier league player within a five year period 2 premier league trophies 4 FA cup trophies Record number of assists in a single season-19 Highest goalscorer of the season on 4 occasions (01/02, 03/4, 04/5 & 05/6) Thats a premier league record if u must know. Has scored over 55 champion league goals Was voted greatest foreign player to have played in premier league in 2006. Has the highest goal to game ratio in premier league history. Even beyond the facts above, He is the embodiment of Va-Va Voom, sheer class, elegance, the greatest football artist that ever graced a premier league football field. A great goalscorer and a scorer of great goals. Need further proof of his supremacy? |
That's my Guy Greatest Premier league player ever! |
lolaxavier:I couldnt believe his death bro. Saw him at the gym last week Sunday. Do u also gym at the Berger center? |
Rozaytee:I cant believe this guy is gone! I dont know d circumstances he faced, but he always seemed upbeat and in a good frame of mind at the gym he regularly visited at Ojodu Berger. He was a sociable chap and never appeared to be depressed. I'm so sad at this o. Why?? Chei, I feel for d mother. |
Mynd44:Oh, alright. But it's nice having u around in there. |
Mynd44:Mynd44, so u are also in this same hall as a Shattarrd Akantant? 9ce one. Btw, Whats ur seat number? |
Jarus:Haha, even the craze for shoprite bread has worn off significantly in 9ja |
Wow! Congrats Cornelius, You are reaping the results of the years of hardwork and sheer doggedness. Never before have I seen an individual more passionate about agriculture as a tool for improving Africa's food scarcity. His passion is incredibly infectious. And the guy probably has more noble ideas brimming in his head than the whole student population of Pullman university. I doff my cap for a proud alumni of the faculty of agricultural science, OAU. Your track record speaks for itself. I am not in the least surprised at your latest feat. Congrats buddy. |
naijalodge:Oga, how can you say the two teams in S.America are Arg & Brazil? That is so 1990-94. Where did you put Uruguay, Chile that won the last 2 Copa americas and Colombia. Even the others like Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela are still tough and not like the Andorras & Liecheinsteins of Europe. Its like saying d only teams in Africa are Nigeria, Cameroon & Egypt, forgetting that new powerhouses like Zambia, Algeria & Ivory coast are there. U need to be updated with current happenings in football sir. And yes its a big deal they qualified because of the way they were so much maligned along the way. |
One thing I like about Messi is the quality of his goals. He didnt just score an ordinary hattrick like many would do. A hat trick of stunning goals in the most crucial match, under unimaginable pressure, personally and collectively. Who else can do this, but Leo the Messi-iah? |
Remii:Maradona is not an ordinary player nau. Someone still reputed by many to be the best in history. Doesnt take anything away from Messi's incredible feat yesterday. |
naijalodge:Please argue objectively. Getmany that u mentioned has been the best national team in the world for a while now. So u cant use them as an example of how easier the european qualifying format is. Its well known that the South american qualifiers are much tougher than in europe, due to the table league-like format and the fact that fewer teams can qualify. In europe you usually have a single top team grouped together with average or below par teams. |
Who will commemorate this particular crash now? ![]() |
greenhulk:Yeah, I've sighted a couple of times where a referee has overruled a linesman offside decision. Although it's rare, but it happens. Thanks for the admission, I now understand your point of view better. |
greenhulk:U are right on this. However, you are also guilty of jumping to conclusions without the backing of undeniable facts. In one breath you say that drawing a parallel line on a still image doesn't do justice (which is correct), yet you assert, based on the picture you posted, without any line drawn, that the Zambian striker was Clearly behind our last defender and is therefore onside. HHowwww You need to be consistent with your position and the supporting evidence that you bring out. This also played out in your argument with Xzbits where you subtly changed your initial stance later on during your argument. I appreciate you're trying to be objective, but please let it be consistent. That said, from all the pictures and video evidence, it's really difficult saying it's onside or offside due to the lack of legible line markers on the poor pitch. All I can say is that it's a really close call. |
SnowJay92:You have to submit an application to the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in Abuja that details why your business should qualify for tax exemption. The application and approval process is laid down by the NIPC and usually takes between 4 - 7months. It's usually advisable to engage a tax consultant for this. |
This Reno is a typical cunning politician. He knows many Nigerians don't read to confirm headlines. The headline posted about the ACN's comments is misleading. I just read the story and discovered that the boko haram ban refers to a ban on the Press coverage of boko haram's activities imposed by the then Jonathan-led Government. In the report, Lai Mohammed categorically stated that Boko-haram was a deadly terrorist organization that needed to be tackled. Apparently, no one has noticed this from the preceding comments. The FG may be faulted on many fronts, but employing the use of falsehood to justify criticism is equally despicable. Reno is no different from the people he is criticizing in this regard. Maybe worse. |
Sanchez01:Your analysis completely lacks objectivity. Your question just sounds like mockery rather than a product of logical reasoning Messi could not score until Suarez simulated and gifted the midget a penalty kick How does the above show that Messi is not better than CR7?. Ronaldo has been gifted more classico penalties than Messi. Messi has 24 classico goals while CR7 has 17 (shows who's boss of the tie). All those times CR7 did not score against Barca while Messi did, what do you have to say about that? Messi fails in Argentina but only succeeds in Barcelona. He has never won a senior national silverware for Argentina No greater lie has ever been penned down regarding the first statement in bold. He might not have won a senior national silverware with Argentina, but he is their highest goal scorer ever with over sixty goals. Three successive finals (World cup, two COPAs) during which he scored 11 goals (including many breathtaking ones) in total is not indicative of someone who has failed. On the contrary, it is a testament to Messi's brilliance as he was the team's protagonist throughout the tournaments. Being unlucky is not the same as being a failure. CR7 did not even play any prominent part in the final of the only tournament he won, (scored only 3 goals). If he was consistent, he would have replicated the feat at the Confed's cup. and has never played far from Xavi, Iniesta and Busquet Another lie. Messi' has played and wowed on the pitch many times without Xavi and Iniesta. Messi has more assists than Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets combined in barca. Refuting such a tepid comment like the one above is a no-brainer. You are entitled to your opinion. However, your opinion should be based on valid arguments. Merci |
LordAdam16:Ok, I understand you're trying to cut E-money some slack since he dared to set up something unique different from the regular modern styles, meaning he thinks differently. I'm not debating that his room his probably far more expensive than Peller's. My point is whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing correctly. And I think E-money is actually rich enough to secure all the necessary accessories. I have also seen much better classic living room set-ups (on three occasions) from wealthy middle-class folks in Nigeria who are probably not as rich as E-money. I think it's about the fashion sense/taste. On the comparison, the question is what does "better" mean in this context? It should connote aesthetic harmony and quality of all the individual components of the living room. There should be a balance in all the factors identified previously. If you are a football fan, it's like comparing Argentina, with super-attackers like Messi, Aguero, Higuaín, Dybala and Di Maria but with a much average midfield and defence, against Germany that does not have a specific Messi-CR7 quality player, but whose players are of high-quality/teamwork in all departments. You and I know that Germany is better. That's the analogy here. However, this does not mean that Peller's living room is extra-special or something. It just reflects a well setup good quality living room. In terms of potential/individual quality, E-money's room prevails, else, the delivery is what is lacking. |
KvnqFayvor:Yeah I loved the music themes of GOT. But have you seen some other wonderful series as well to make the above assertion? Game of Thrones is an unusual series. It doesn't get really interesting until the midway through the second season as the plot gradually builds up. However, the fact that the series was able to accommodate so many different and intriguing character storylines for so long without the scriptwriters or the teeming audience getting confused, stands it out. It also reflects the age-long fascinating power-play that has shaped the direction of the world since time immemorial, which a lot of people can relate to. The above notwithstanding, for a series to be considered as the best, it should be able to provide that GRIPPING, EDGE-OF-THE-SEAT, JAW-DROPPING, ORGASMIC moments/story lines CONSISTENTLY for the most part. In this regard, it is my humble opinion that no series (1990s till date) has delivered on this better than PRISON BREAK and 24, which I consider both as the best fictional things to happen to Television. The enjoyment I get from GOT, although sustained, has not reached that gripping, intense, "go-all day without food" level I get from seeing 24 and Prison Break. The only area GOT performs better is its multi-faceted storyline while Prison Break and 24 tend to portray events only from Michael Scofield or Jack Bauer's perspective respectively. However, this does not translate to being more interesting. For me, ratings do not provide the complete picture. It will surprise you that the series with the highest ratings ever are the soapy, boring, or regular ones that I don't even consider half as interesting such as Oz, Breaking Bad, The West Wing, Friends, Battlestar Galactica, Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy, The Wire etc, most of which are rated above GOT, 24 and PBreak. This may be attributed to diverse tastes of global viewers especially one-half of the world's population (female folk) who generally do not prefer action-laced thrillers or complex intrigues. |
LordAdam16:Do not get carried away by your pseudo-analysis. Nothing complex here, as the considerations required do not include future value analysis, as every asset eventually depreciates. The question is which do you prefer now aesthetically? E-moneys room is woefully disjointed (tiles do not match the furniture, oversized speakers, space not utilized well) and is a classical style "wannabe". Unfortunately, there is no middleground with the classic style as u are positing. U either get it right or it comes out looking like hodge podge of sh*t, irrespective of how expensive it actually is. Shina' room though not perfect, is simple but not tacky, mature and modern as you rightly pointed out. Since it has less irregularities, I'd prefer it to e-money's, regardless of its future upgrade requirements. Ultimately, neither style does it for me. In that regard, I'm with you. |
NickD: DrayZee:The above is not true sirs and madam. The 10percent ice-berg portion above the water level will contract into the space occupied by the 90% underneath when the ice-berg melts, leading to zero change in the sea level since the ice berg is already in the sea. The basis is that when ice melts, it contracts into about 90% of the volume it initially occupied. However, contrary to what most people have been saying here, the sea-level will RISE when a one-trillion tonne ice-cap breaks into the sea, as its one-trillion tonne weight will displace a similar amount of water upwards or sidewards. The rise in sea-level is not from melting but from its original displacement into the sea. Thus, any resultant increase in the water level from this break-away should be happening gradually now and not when the ice-berg melts. |
