Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Rate My Looks! Be Sincere! No Matter How Harsh! by Thirst4Lif: 2:04am On Jul 31, 2011
Is that what you call this? "LOW SELF-ESTEEM??" My oh my, some people really still suffer from lack of self control. {sighs and looks down to the next post}
You asked for an opinion and this person gave theirs!!!!!!!!! If you don't like what they think don't put yourself

in the position of being judged!!!!!!!!!
Dating And Meet-up ZoneRe: Rate My Looks! Be Sincere! No Matter How Harsh! by Thirst4Lif: 1:47am On Jul 31, 2011
Another case of sum1 suffering frm ACUTE LOW SELF-ESTEEM!!*
Agreed! What difference does it make what people you will probably never meet in your

lifetime think of your appearancehuhhuhhuh?

But you'd be considered Ok, at best. I'd maybe rate you higher depending on how drunk and sex starved I am!

By African standards you might be ok, by African American standards you'd have a lot of long, lonely nights!

Don't be upset with me, You asked!!!
BusinessRe: How Many Hours Light/Power Does PHCN Supply Your Area? by Thirst4Lif: 6:46pm On Jul 27, 2011
Question, Are hospitals and nursing homes exempt from the blackout?

How is it handled if someone requires life-saving medical equipment in their home?
RomanceRe: She Took Poison Cos Of Me by Thirst4Lif: 5:56pm On Jul 26, 2011
Clearly the woman is emotionally unstable. Is this the kind of woman you want in your life?

I don't think so. She'd make your life miserable. The best thing for you to do for yourself and

for her is to disappear from her life. No calling, no texting, no visiting. And thank God you

aren't married to her.

This is a little off topic but I was reading about the suicide rate in Nigeria. See the link below.

RomanceRe: My Friend Is Dating A Man From Nigeria And Considering Marrying Him. by Thirst4Lif: 5:42pm On Jul 26, 2011
I already spoke to my attorney and he told me all that need to be done. So I just suggest he don't screw up.
The man admitted to being married. That should have been the end of it for your 'friend.' He's looking for a way to get

his wife and child into the U.S. via a green card. No offense to anyone but I would tell my friend to stay the he.ll away from

Nigerian men! Their reputation is far too tarnished, even by their fellow Nigerians.
PoliticsRe: What Is The Fastest Way To Rise In Rank In The Nigerian Army? by Thirst4Lif: 3:52pm On Jul 21, 2011
what is the fastest way to rise in rank in the Nigerian Armed Forces?
Kill everyone ahead of you!
BusinessRe: How Can I Become A Billionaire At 36! by Thirst4Lif: 3:49pm On Jul 21, 2011
please how do I go about it.
I think it's safe to say no one on this website is a billionaire, so I'd suggest you try asking someone who's actually achieved billionaire status.

Go to Dangote's web page or Bill Gates', etc. to see how it's done.
FamilyRe: I Am Sad by Thirst4Lif: 5:51pm On Jul 18, 2011
There are loads of bitter people in the world and they thrive on other people's misery. Instead of offering you constructive advice, they''ll snide and divert the purpose of your post. Such is the nature of retrogressive minds

So very true!
FamilyRe: I Am Sad by Thirst4Lif: 5:43pm On Jul 18, 2011
I think you may be a little overly sensitive.

1)  He called you the children's 'mum' because that's who you are. Why make a big deal out of it.

2) If he lied about his age, really, at this point, so what.  Would you divorce him because he lied about his age?
I'm sure you wouldn't so why worry about it.

3) Perhaps the non-communicative sisters are not happy he's married to someone of another race. I can't say for
certain because I don't know them. But there is that possibility. A lot of people are uncomfortable with interracial
marriages. Fortunately they're not being abusive to you because of the marriage.

What you should be asking yourself is why you're uncomforable with posing questions to your own husband about his life.

But if he's a good husband and father, let go of your anxieties and enjoy your life together.
BusinessRe: Nigeria’ll Overtake US If It Has 24 Hours Electricity, Security by Thirst4Lif: 5:29pm On Jul 18, 2011
Nice post but look at it this way:
If you move all Americans out of the US overnight and on the same night you move all Nigerians into the US (That means we now have automatic constant electricity and all the social amenities that they are enjoying in the US). Will we be able to maintain and improve the system there. My answer is NO. Methinks we will quickly run down the system withing a few months or years starting from the very first week.In fact things will depreciate to almost the level that we are in right now in Nigeria. Why? We won't be able to decide who rules at the center. There will be too much favoritism in recruiting who runs which agency. The uni admissions will be run on quota rather than merit system.I hope you are getting the picture.
Well thought-out post! The fact that we're even discussing comparing an area that doesn't have non-stop electricity

IN THE 21ST. CENTURY to the U.S. tells me all I need to know about Nigerian leadership. Keep dreaming dreamers.
BusinessRe: A Narrow Escape (ATM Story): Please Read And Be Informed! by Thirst4Lif: 10:58pm On Jul 11, 2011
Just as I turned to leave, my 'spidey-sense' started tingling like crazy. I looked at the funny contraption that sat over the card slot with a more critical eye. It blended with the general colour scheme of the machine, I prodded and pulled it, and to my astonishment the thing fell off! I scrutinized it carefully, with no small measure of suspicion, The thing had some funny-looking chips embedded in it, and a port that appeared to connect it to a computer or some other device.
This scam was reported in the U.S. about a year ago, maybe longer.
CrimeRe: Horror: Nigerian Man Stabs Wife To Death, Cuts Her Into Pieces by Thirst4Lif: 6:16pm On Jun 30, 2011
Not supporting her being beaten but she may be aware that she was driving him up the wall leading to the beatings.
How was she driving him up the wall? By working and paying the bills? Raising his child?

The only thing wrong this poor woman did was give him a second chance by going back to him.
PoliticsRe: Night Life To Stop In Abuja (Security Scare) by Thirst4Lif: 6:59pm On Jun 29, 2011

Psychologically? Because the parks and night clubs closed early?

Get some rest!
CelebritiesRe: I Feel Cheated. I Should Have Won- Grace Ndam by Thirst4Lif: 1:27pm On Jun 29, 2011
Grace (which she lacks) Ndam sounds like a willful, spoiled child.

I'm sure every woman in the pageant felt they should have won. Hopes of winning were the reason

for them entering in the first place.

but do you know that her remarks are enough to make people start watching the judgments more closely in the future?
Or her remarks may also jeopardize her in pageants she may enter in the future.
CelebritiesRe: Winners Of 2011 Bet Awards ,tuface, D Banj Win Best International Act by Thirst4Lif: 4:36pm On Jun 28, 2011
Black award shows and Black beauty pageants only exist because Black people were not

fairly represented on shows sponsored by Whites. If we had only award shows such as

MTV Awards and the Grammys rarely would a Black person even win. That's why Black people

branched out and created their own award shows. Anyone who thinks the Grammys or the MTV

Awards would fairly recognize talented Black artists is completely missing the point!
IslamRe: Why Is It That Islamic Religion Is Link With Violence And Terror. by Thirst4Lif: 4:21pm On Jun 28, 2011
I can't believe the sort of childish, nursery school arguments the muslims on this thread are using to defend their religion. Like "but, but, Richard the Lionheart was a christian and he killed people" or "see the violence in the US, and they're christians". Its really pathetic.

If you people had an ounce of sense, you would look at the mountain of evidence, admit you have a problem and start thinking of what little things you can do to fix it. Instead, you're pointing at others like a bunch of four year olds.

The first step on the road to a solution is acknowledging that there is a problem. From what I've seen from you people, Islam is going to remain a violent religion for a very long time. Pity.
I salute you Evil Brain! Very factual post! It's annoying to hear people compare their problems with someone elses as though
that makes it okay! Suicide bombings are almost always attributed to those individuals of the Islamic faith. And they proudly
proclaim this fact
It's not like Islamics are being singled out unfairly. Every lunatic terrorist or jihadist who's ever committed
a violent act will state he is representing Islam, so there!
CelebritiesRe: Winners Of 2011 Bet Awards ,tuface, D Banj Win Best International Act by Thirst4Lif: 4:08pm On Jun 28, 2011
I'm beginning to think this BET awards is nonsense. . .
It holds no weight and one can't rely on it to know who the best musician of the year is.
If you want a real music award watch the MTV Music Award or the grammy awrads.
Those are awards that have value and hold weight.
And why should the MTV and Grammy Awards carry so much weight? Because they're presented

by Whites?? You sound like a well-trained House Negress.

Anyway, BET award is not a true representation of talent. Oscar, Grammy, MTV are the best.
Another ridiculous remark! Why not a true representation? PRACTICALLY EVERYONE ON THE BET AWARDS WAS BLACK! Do we need

a White award show to tell us who's good in the Black community??
PoliticsRe: Photo: Meet Mohammed Manga, Nigeria’s First Suicide Bomber by Thirst4Lif: 7:49am On Jun 28, 2011
How does one have 5 kids by age 35? crazy
There are many ways. Perhaps there were multiple births involved, twins, triplets; maybe even adoption; he may have married a woman

who already had children; he could have inherited children from a deceased relative, etc. Only guessing since we don't know

the specifics.
FamilyRe: As Parents, Do We Buy Into This? by Thirst4Lif: 6:14pm On Jun 27, 2011
A lot of parents are of the mindset, they don't want their children to have to struggle or work

hard as the parents themselves had to. I believe working builds character in an individual and

makes them appreciative of what they've gained. When we give our children everything their

hearts desire they come to not appreciate those things because they acquired them so easily.

Another poster mentioned Umar Farouk Abdulmuttallab and he's an excellent example. Parents

do want to share their achievements with their children, but it leaves nothing for the child to

strive for.
PropertiesRe: Why Is Nigerian Architecture So Uninspiring? by Thirst4Lif: 3:21pm On Jun 26, 2011
Because Nigeria is living in the shadows of another country (the United States 90% of the time) in almost all areas of life.
This is a first! I've never heard of one country blaming another for their building designs.  grin

They're certainly better designs in other countries which could have been copied, so

clearly many Nigerians just have bad taste.

RomanceRe: I'm Scared I Wont Find A Wife If I Dont Compromise by Thirst4Lif: 9:43pm On Jun 24, 2011
Guy I will go back to naija to get a wife but I must look here first.
Interesting choice of words; "I MUST look here first." Sounds as though you're anticipating

something. A Green Card, perhaps? So you want a virtuous woman who'll allow you to perform your 419 scam. Good luck

with that, Guy.   grin
CelebritiesRe: Mercy Johnson Spotted Shopping For Wedding Dress In New York by Thirst4Lif: 9:15pm On Jun 24, 2011
Since Mercy is marrying a Prince you'd think he would have flown someone to

his country to dress his lady love. He, I assume, can afford to have dressmakers

from all over the world cater to his

fiance's every whim, so why the trip to the U.S? I'd expected Vera Wang, designer to the Stars, but

this dress store looks like any I've seen in the U.S., nothing special about it.

I'll bet, being foreigners, they paid a ridiculous price for a sub-par dress just so she can

have the prestige of saying she bought her wedding dress in the United States.  grin  Probably could have fed

his whole country for what he spent on a dress!

She went through alot of trouble to look like a HO so the least you guys could do is applaud her.
grin grin grin  I agree.
PoliticsRe: Soldiers, Policemen Clash Again In Lagos(pics) by Thirst4Lif: 5:29pm On Jun 24, 2011
To the Military men and other uniform personnel that see their position as an opportunity to go against civil order, they should know they are part and parcel of the society at large. The best of discipline is expected of them at this period.
Very well stated! Kudos!

You have to be joking!! Clearly you haven't picked up a Nigerian newspaper in the last 30 years.

You're a military officer and you're appealing to people on an internet blog for advice?

I'd suggest you speak to your superiors, people you trust, for sound advice.
RomanceRe: I'm Scared I Wont Find A Wife If I Dont Compromise by Thirst4Lif: 2:10am On Jun 24, 2011
Do you possess the "High Standard" that you want your future spouse to have. A relationship without a compromise is an utopian relationship.

Get real dude
Exactly. He never explained why it is mandatory for him to marry someone from another country.

And how is it he of marrying age, yet knows no one compatible from his own country? Does

he feel no one from his country is his equal now that he's in the West?
RomanceRe: I'm Scared I Wont Find A Wife If I Dont Compromise by Thirst4Lif: 2:00am On Jun 24, 2011
Alas! now I'm in yankee and I hardly meet a girl who does not drink goes to wild party and sex is just a normal way of life.
I know more people in the U.S. who DON'T go to wild parties than people who do, so I don't know where

you're finding your women. The key to finding a quality woman is to go to places OF quality. Some people will go to bars or clubs, maybe even meet

someone standing on the bus stop and get involved with them, then complain because they don't meet his so called standards.

No one said you had to marry someone from the Western part of the world! Did they? So go back to your country and find a wife!

Problem solved!
CelebritiesRe: Genevieve Vs Omotola: Who Is More Beautiful Without Makeup? by Thirst4Lif: 4:49pm On Jun 23, 2011
Are the two women the same age? Might not be fair to make a comparison, but

Omotola looks like she could be Genevieve's Mother.
