Funny how all of these stories are about 'a friend,' never the OP. ![]() |
My 3rd grade Math teacher, Ms. Cain (appropriately named). She'd slap my legs for getting an incorrect answer. If she's reading this, "MAYBE YOU WERE JUST A BAD TEACHER, EVER THINK ABOUT THAT?" ![]() |
@Poster Was it really such a loss that the Nigerians men weren't interested? And why Nigerians? Perhaps they thought you would be harder to scam. But whether the man is Nigerian, African American, Caucasian, etc. if he is not interested in a relationship, seek someone else. The world is filled with interesting, successful men, so no great loss! |
she should hobnobb with their actors guild, enroll in acting school over there(atleast there would be some roles for the best african female actress by some producer interested in giving her a chance; not shooting for unrealistic roles, )You've made true statements. But, also with time comes age. She's now 32 years old. The movie industry leans toward the young, so she'd better start setting goals for herself soon. The clock is ticking. |
Even Daniel Craig should be sacked! He's not a befitting Bond IMO!Agreed. IMO Sean Connery was best at the role of James Bond. |
I think Genevieve is prettier than Naomie, but being a Bond Girl is a coveted role. Genevieve hasn't done enough work in the U.S. to have gotten a role as large as this. |
I’m inclined to think he may have helped himself to the organization’s money (which should be fine so long as he brings same into our business) because I don’t see how he could have worked in a bank for almost 3years with fake degree and NYSC certificates, what with technology and all now. The OP didn't care whether he stole money as long as he saved some of it for the business! Unbelievable! This kind of mentality is why Nigerians are always on the aSS end of things! |
There would be one less dishonest person in the world! No great loss! |
Hi nairalanders, i just met this guy through a friend. He's cute, cool and works in a very nice establishment. My only problem is that his command of the English language is extremely BAD as in a total write-off.He has asked me to be his girl but i dont want to date someone that will turn out to be an embarassment.Guys/Girls what would you do if you were to be in my condition? If your friends have to find you a boyfriend you must not be too much of a prize either! But I'm sure if the man were rich you wouldn't give a damn about how well he speaks English! |
She called the Immigration and he was faced in deportation court if he doesn't get his ducks in the row he will be heading right back to where he started from.Actually these marriages are looked at by the Immigrations Department much more closely than in the past. And, I'm sure, it's due to the nature of dishonesty of many Africans. However, Anyone who's amassed $50K (I'm sure from scamming) in Nigeria should count their blessings. Mainly that they're not already in prison. As an American, whenever I hear the word Nigeria on t.v. I already know it will be something negative to follow. It makes people a lot more vigilant. It's also quite embarassing to every brown skinned person in the world. |
I won't say it's a crime to be unattractive, but I do know attractive people are sometimes given privileges and perks, sometimes even jobs, that less attractive people do not receive. |
I applaud the U.S. for their actions concerning the lottery. I think any other actions allowing more unemployed individuals into the U.S. should be suspended as well. Last week the unemployment rate in the U.S. was 9.1%. I doubt very many of these 22,000 people are wealthy so I have to wonder what exactly their plans were once they'd gotten to the United States. What exactly are these 22,000 people going to do to make a living in America that the U.S. citizens haven't already thought of? At some point a great many of these people would become liabilities to the U.S. taxpayers, which is not fair to U.S. citizens. The U.S. has people who've worked, lived and paid taxes in this country all of their lives. So many jobs in the U.S. have downsized leaving people out of work. Those individuals should be the main priority of the U.S. government. |
Safety and experience should not be sacrified on the altar of nationalism.True statement. |
I'm sickened by the sight of this man. He had opportunities most of us can't imagine. I pray revenge is not taken out on his family by these Al Qaeda lunatics. |
Poster,You and your Nigerian mates are a big disgrace to Nigeria!!! You don't know one good thing about your country and the other ones are talking about the dead bodies!!! when other students are talking the statue of liberty in their country, the the British are boasting of their wembley stadium and other stadia plus the large number of students dieing to study in their country, the Indians and Pakistani are boasting of their large population in the world,Ghanians are boasting of their new face of development and discovery of oil etc while you as Nigerians are there talking about BOko haram and dead bodies and you sitting like a dead dumb head saying you don't know what to talk about.Don't worry you and your Nigerian mates have already failed the presentation. NonsenseIn all of your chastising not once did YOU list the good things of Nigeria. Perhaps you are at a loss as well. |
She knows what part of her body you put your mouth so maybe she thinks you may do that to other women as well. |
Since he's everyone's Father maybe someone should ask him to help with their tuition. |
If anyone's interested they're 2 job openings on the police force now. |
the white neighbors will watch/spy on them with keen eyes.True. And if those keen eyes don't spot anyone going to work day after day, they WILL become suspicious and be all too happy to notify the police. The plates for producing counterfeit money alone had to have cost them a fortune. |
Nigerians are good at soaking up western education and extollign the virtues of western ideology, forgetting that many of these ideas were tailored to suit the western culture that they were created for.Very true statement! |
If I understood correctly, you gave him cash but you also gave him a check knowing it would not clear the bank. The courts may hold you accountable for passing a bad check. I notice you didn't mention why the landlord no longer wants you to occupy the property. The landlord asking for such a large amount of money was his way of trying to force you to leave. Apparently he does not consider you a proper tenant. I don't know if you've disturbed other renters, have not been timely with your payments, etc. but the property is there to be rented so he must have had a reason for choosing another tenant. At this point all you can do is wait for your court date and retrieve any cash you gave to the landlord. If you're worried about him one day cashing the check, simply close the account the check was drawn on and open another account. |
@ Amya Very good post! Your one statement, "men want to have it both way" is so very true! |
are this people not cannibalsDon't you eat fried chicken, bbq chicken, baked chicken?? Are YOU a cannibal?? |
Wish TMZ had an affiliate there. They'd have live coverage! ![]() |
Mine was my first time flying. I, along with 2 co-workers, was going to Las Vegas for a week of fun. When the plane began to elevate I was so petrified I gripped the hand of the lady sitting next to me. She laughed, I held on until the plane leveled off. I never asked her name, but I'm sure there's an old white woman somewhere with a disabled right hand! |
We African's may be lagging in technology but our principles of marriage are far better than the west.Yeah, right! And should we overlook the killings and spousal abuse from African men? Get Mrs. Chijoke W Wigwe on on the phone and see if she agrees! |
Did she lie about her age when you met? Why get involved with someone older, then complain about it later. If you feel the relationship is doomed, get out! How do you know she even wants to be married to you? |
Luke 18:25 - Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." The Bishop certainly doesn't look worried. |
HOPEFULLY NEVER if it is the same garbage as the one we see these days!SO true! |
Lagos, Nigeria (CNN) -- Police raided a clinic in southeast Nigeria and rescued about 30 girls allegedly used in a "baby industry" in which they would give birth to children who then would be sold, authorities said Thursday. "There are about 30 pregnant young ladies -- the eldest was 20 years old," said Geoffrey Ogbonna, a police spokesman. "Some belong in secondary, even in primary school." In addition to the expecting mothers, 12 children were found at the clinic ranging in age from 2 to 12 years old, according to Arinze Orakwue, a spokesman for the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons. It was not clear whether the children found were related to the pregnant girls and women. Orakwue called the operation of the clinic, which was officially registered, "a failure of oversight." Police stormed the Cross Foundation clinic in Abia state over the weekend after receiving a tip, but no babies were found at the location, the spokesman said. Authorities believe there were cases in which babies were sold for between 100,000 and 150,000 naira ($640 to $960), with the women receiving about $131, according to Ogbonna. Some of the women had unwanted pregnancies and wanted to get rid of their babies, while others were impregnated as part of the operation of the clinic's business, Orakwue said. A doctor arrested at the location said the babies had been handed over to social welfare for adoption. Police said the women seized were not cooperating. Only one of the women has talked so far, and she said her friend took her to the clinic, according to Ogbonna. "They do not want to open up," he said. The investigation continues, police said. http://edition.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/africa/06/02/nigeria.babies.sold/ |
After events, he would come home, sit down with a small glass of whiskey and tell us interesting stories. He never raised his voice or yelled at us. He was always calm and peaceful. This is his true nature.I've read of Serial Killers who were family men. |
This information is none of the public's business and he's an a$$ for making it public. No matter how he spins the story, the public will only remember pictures of his mother's face. And he knows it as well or he wouldn't have put his account of the event on paper. And how do we know HE'S not doing the same lying he's accusing his mother of? Where's the proof the son wrote this letter? Because his name is signed to it? |
