ebere1712: The only way we can liberate ourselves is to concentrate on the skin color.
They use our own greedy people against us- illeteracy and greed in Metu is a consequence of environment. All non-metu neigbours to metu are known to be very aggressive to metu. We are not exposed people. In fact most metu children don't even know about racism. The world criminal empire is built on racism. Racism is a weakness and not a strength. When you are racist, you destroy everything remotely attached to devils, and hate anyone (even if its your brother) remotely attached to them. That should be african racism. It has to be extreme and thorough. Destroy anything remotely connected to devils, and watch their influence in your lives reduce. Then you can see the light of CHUKWU shine in you. KELE CHUKWU cool
EXACTLY! I always say that to Africans but all i get is that "Holier than Thou" attitude, the problem is that the mass media, books and movies has been used to confuse africans to belive that white people are these innocent, always looking for the good kind of people that is out to save the world and can never hurt a fly while they in reality are commiting atrocities on us, it is a sort of saying one thing to the stupid africans and doing something else to them. That is why africans belive the "War on terror " paradigm because americans can never be the terrorist and can never terrorise other nations, they believe the "Enlightenment and Civilisation " scheme of the colonization till today cus they belive (as was made to belive by the same whites) that africans are not civilized, they belive the "Responsiblity to Protect" doctrine which was used against Libya's Gaddafi and Gbagbo of Ivory Coast as we would never believe the foreign whites to be the aggressors rather it must be the evil, uncivilized and babaric black man that is the aggressor, they believe the destructive economic policies of the World Bank/IMF cus even if the policies does not go down well with our common sense it must be cus we are stupid and the white man is always right as in other things, infact as many of my friends said africans deserve their sufferings and misery.
CultureRe: Why Africans Go By Their European Or Arab Names? by thoth: 5:24pm On Dec 21, 2012
I came into nigeria this evening and this topic was discussed for a while on the plane(a guy said his name is Godspower) the guys on the plane(all igbos) tried to blame it on penticostalism and others said "local names" always has bad meanings and means badluck for the child. I was just listening since religion and superstition are two things i avoid discussing with Nigerians. I learnt also that instead of naming their child Ikechukwu igbo translate it and name him Godspower, same with Chinenye to Godsgift,Godsent for Osinachi etc. I wonder if any of you have witnessed this.

This is not related but why is it that anytime guys board a flight 85% or more of the black guys are always igbos, no matter where you are going or coming from so far as it is trans-continental. Today about 95% are igbos.

birdman: The objective of your thread was to bring to this issue to light. You do yourself and your message a disservice when you get abusive. Btw I agree with Glen Ford here - we really need to look beyond skin color.
This is the second time my post disappeared in this thread and i really don't know why.
I can only say that sometimes you have to say things in that way to force the reader to rethink on matters which he has settled views.

ekt_bear: Who is genociding who in the Congo?

Is it not the black man killing the black man?

So why are you blaming Susan Rice? Shouldn't you be pointing fingers at the Congolese?
And Susan Rice is white ?
I am always dumbfounded when i listen to Africans of your kind, they always exhibit extreme naivity coupled with arrogance especially in events they knew nothing of and lacks the intellectual determination to research on. All you simple mind can grasp is that blacks killing blacks and we should blame the Congo, Did you read the article at all or just the headlines ? Who is funding those insurgents ? Since by composition its majority are Rwandans and Ugandans can you call it congolese by any means ?
A situation that most of your kind fail to understand is that the Rwandan and Ugandan masses are against their goverment involvement and anti-african aggression against their neighbours. The western media did not tell you that the Ugandan government jailed many educated elites after they tried to organize a demonstration against the goverment concerning this issue. You never heard that in April a few Rwandan army officers resigned in protest for their goverment involvement in what they call "regional destabilizing policies" against the congolese goverment.
It is folks like you that still believe that Idi Amin was a cannibal and a tyrant.

Well, i already had a son and all his names were igbo. I no longer believe in that catholic stuff so he has no baptismal name. My mother gave him a name also so he got three names in all(first name, surname and the one my mom gave him)

Btw, i've not seen you on my forum for quite a while now.

I have been off the net for a while but things are back to normal.
CultureRe: Why Africans Go By Their European Or Arab Names? by thoth: 6:49am On Dec 20, 2012
Last time i was in Nigeria i noticed many families speak english to their kids instead of igbo and even punish them when they try to use their native language.
The irony is that while growing up in france we spoke igbo in our house and when we are with other educated igbo families, i also notice many canadian igbo families that speak igbo to their children while i lived there. My uncles classmate insisted on going back to nigeria and marrying an igbo lady just so that his kids can speak igbo.
Back in france it created a tight nit igbo speaking youths that protected each other and were almost brothers. Mind you most of us back then only go home once every two years and each time spend less than 3 weeks but we identified more with our homeland cus of the language i guess. My friend Loui never visited nigeria till he was in his twenties yet he speaks good igbo and we always lend nigerian films to them back then(remember Living in Bondage ?)
i have a french baptismal name and two of my other names are igbo. Teachers in school insist on using the french name cus of pronounciation though.

ebere1712: When pentagon makes a black man president. They are about to commit genocide. They would fail. I know this for sure. I have first hand information. US, UK and their their european and asian friends would be shocked. I knew this from the start. They are desperate, any move now would hang them finally. Libya is not our friend by the way. Why do we have to care about them? They helped Europeans against us, it is their turn to have a taste. We won't get involved with any arabs. They are one and the same people.
I do agree with you on one issue, Black Africans should never involve themselves in Arab Affairs unless there is Lots of profit for us in doing so.

On Susan Rice issue many people will be suprised how even africans will praise and cherish her as their role model. Even in the face of factual evidence Africans will still cherish her why ? Cus the western media puts it so. Africa is a lost case, very little hope is left for this continent and when you look at the upcoming generation with their whizkid lifestyle and aspirations you will just conclude there is no hope left at all.

What you guys failed to ask is WHO is asking for the help and WHAT are we helping them to achieve.
Are we meant to help the imperialist Puppets in dominating and exploiting Somalia or are we helping to forment another spun of worse terrorists that might be worse than US created Al- Qaeda with a special hatred for Nigerians and creating natural allies to Boko Haram.
What exactly does the west wants ? A divide and Conflict ridden African easy to manipulate, dominate and exploit, that will never see the opportunity to unite and liberate/develop itself.
Nigerian SSS is just a useless bunch of prostitue fucking and beer drinking buffons who would never make intelligent analysis and offer advice to the equally handicaped leaders.
Foreign AffairsRe: What Happened After The 'Arab Spring'? by thoth: 10:52am On Dec 03, 2012
The United States had always wanted to overthrow Gaddafi and they took the Opportunity of the fracas in Tunisia and Egypt to invade Libya.
The Benghazi extremist had always wanted an Islamic Libya instead of the secular Libya that Gaddafi created and they have been fighting the Libyan Army under the banner of The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) classified by the UN as a Terrorist Organization and has a list of terrorist acts under its belt, it has been a focus of British intelligence for more than 20 years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libyan_Islamic_Fighting_Group

What happened in Libya was not a revolution as it did not comprise the majority, The USA and Arab Monarchs armed the LIGF to overthrow Gaddafi, it was a known fact that 93% of the fighters in the so called Libyan Revolution were not Libyans just like more that 90% of the present Anti-Assad fighters in Syria are not Syrians but Al-Qaeda terrorist vying for an Islamic Arab state. USA through NATO supplied Arms, logistics and intelligence to the Rebels and also provided air support in the guise of a "NO FLY ZONE" .
http://rt.com/news/syria-un-foreign-mercenaries-310/
http://news.yahoo.com/foreign-fighters-worry-boost-syrian-rebels-222659412.html
The best way to imagine what happened in Libya will be to say , Boko Haram guys starting a protest in the North say Maiduguri and later forming their own government(NTC), being armed by NATO and air cover provided for them now topples GoodLuck's regime with troops from Northern Cameroon,Mali and Niger Republic. You guys should understand that being what the Imperialist West wants they gave them diplomatic support and a powerful but biased media coverage.

Democracy is a very good thing, but for Africa and especially Nigeria at this point in our struggle for true liberation the last thing we need is WESTERN STYLED DEMOCRACY, A Gaddafi is what we need.

You can try to inform him a thousand times but just like most Nigerians he will rather be a Moon head than change his opinion. More and more people are becoming like this and it is quite sad.
Don't be suprised that he choose to stick to his opinion for some tribal conformities or hatred. That means whatever you tell him would not change the way his PEOPLE wants other to see Abacha as and they will continue to promote it.

how did you come to such conclusion on Abacha and how did IBB save Nigeria ?
PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Hamzat killed Abacha? by thoth: 12:24pm On Nov 29, 2012
GenBuhari: ^^
True since the Abdulsalami Abubakar govt, predictably failed to investigate Abacha's death there is little likelyhood that you or I would ever be able to pinpoint who was involved in Abacha's death.

However for me, based on circumstantial evidence and the results of his actions immediately after Abacha's death, Al Mustapha is clear prime suspect by some way.
A suspect maybe, I can't still build a motive for Mustapha, who is he working for ? he can't be possibly be working for IBB since Abacha would not have him if that was true, and if that was true Abacha would not have lasted this long.

i do have my own reasons to believe that Yasser Arafat's troupe knew much of Abacha's death, Gaddafi even though a bit friendly with the guy is very wary of him, he like Abbas is a just a puppet of Israel and USA and those two nations wants Abacha dead.

As the above poster said many of the "perceived benefits" could be achieved without colonialism and our present achievements would surely have been surpassed if not for colonialism.

Sanusi is the mouthpiece of IMF/World Bank in Nigeria, He is gradually laying on us all IMF/World Bank Economic Destructive Measures, just like SAP he is devaluing our currency, removing subsidies, cutting on public spheres spending, supporting mass privatization of Public National Assets and contracting the size of the National Civil Service. Does that look familiar ?
PoliticsRe: Will Not Nigeria Come To The Aid Of Her Somali Brethren? by thoth: 3:50pm On Nov 28, 2012
It would be easy to understand if you guys just tell us you want to use Nigerian troops to project USA's Economic interest in East Africa, Not many Nigerians are stupid enough to believe you peoples stupid propaganda, though our leaders might be ignorant enough to move along with the plan we the people are not. Why would USA not send his own troops to Somalia ? Black Hawk Down ?
I know very well that it will dawn on the Americans that Ethiopian and Kenyan Troops will not be able to do the job, they don't have the manpower and the resources to accomplish such task especially on such Somalians are fighting back on Nationalistic and Idealistic Principles.
If you don't know there are already many Nigerians,Europeans,African(Mostly South Africans) and Asians fighting in Somalia Against US sponsored clans and Kenyan Forces, under daily US air raids and let me tell you 96% of Nigerians there are Christians and mostly Roman Catholics.
We pushed back Ethiopia and Kenya will soon go, and if Nigeria is stupid enough to use its children to enslave his fellow African Nation then we will see to that as well.
PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Hamzat killed Abacha? by thoth: 3:32pm On Nov 28, 2012
A very good one, though the veracity of the article can be doubted knowing fully well we are in Nigeria i will choose a different part.
Assuming the above is the proclaimation of Mr Hamza then there is a huge possibility the events that came after Abacha's death was heavily influenced or even totally directed by IBB, Since it was admitted that his opinions are sought and eventually taken we might from established principles of interrogation believe that Mr Hamza did not tell the WHOLE TRUTH, Factoring his political ambitions IBB could not possible stop at simple advice when presented with such opportunity or if he did then there must be a strong link between IBB, The death of Abacha and Abdulsalami.
As much as the article above do prove that IBB was a key actor in post Abacha politics it does not in any way support the claim that Al Mustapha killed Abacha that is assuming the article is to be relied on.

I know it will reach this stage finally, for those who thinks that such operations will force nigerians unite i want to inform you that the USA has even before now acquired assets that would make sure that it won't incite any unity.
98% of all those rich men and politicians you guys look up to are directly or indirectly in the US paychecks. They will lead you but the decisions will be handed down to them from the same men who owns the drones, they will profess against them in public and take order from them in closed doors and they will be promised riches and they shall get stinkly rich.
At that stage with the clout and power they had amassed from your initial support for them they will snuff out any individual who by chance or luck tries to TRUTHFULLY inform the people.
Think of drones and think of hell in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Why US Army Is Recruiting Hausa, Igbo by thoth:
cap28: I always enjoy reading your analysis because you are always spot on. Its a shame that very few nairalanders reason like you.

do you think the americans will deploy some nigerians to fight in iran or is this recruitment exercise solely in respect of the coming balkanisation of nigeria?
Anybody that is recruited on the basis of knowledge of a certain language serves where that language is spoken, if igbos are recruited they will be used against igbos and if hausas are recruited they will be used against hausas.
Don't believe anybody that says they will be used in Iran or Somalia cus they are of no use there, mind you the US army has been on an open recruitment since 2006 so they have enough soldiers to fight their wars if you know any fit young man that wants to have a greencard let him get to be recruited, many people from eastern europe and southern africa are well aware of that. There igbo and hausa dudes are for special operations, look at the military arm that trains them and see where they will be useful.
They just need 3000 soldiers to fight in Iran ?? Who are they fooling, what value will that number be ? If someone wants to fight in Afghanistan he joins regular army or marines and they recruite from anywhere, if you are for intelligence then you go to Special Operations. Don't let them fool up bro.
PoliticsRe: Why US Army Is Recruiting Hausa, Igbo by thoth: 7:54am On Nov 04, 2012
Those are recruited for Africom , they are meant to be used in intel gathering, persuasions, psychological Operiations, infiltrations, raising local terrorist cells and general Subversive tacticts.
The whole 2015 Balkanization game is one and these are readied for the post balkanized nigeria, imagine you have Biafra and Biafrans wanted to be unaligned in other words not dominated by USA policies these assets will be deployed and infiltrates the state and as long as western styled democracy is practiced by biafrans a select few of there assets would emerge as politicians and would recieve the widest support both financial and media coverage by the western media while the true nationalistic opponents will be demonized and shunned by the same media and other imperialistic agencies since after analysis these ones can not support western exploitative and anti people policies.
All these operations will result in people voting for the Western puppet or the election being rigged as a result of the massive financial backing and the general tendency for Africans to believe that everything the whiteman recommends for them is good for them.
These agents when elected will now carry out the imperialistic policies of these foreign powers and have the nation exploited by their multinationals while the people blame it on their corrupt leaders and wait patiently for another 4 years while the neocolonialist takes root.
On most cases on pre-balkanization stages these agents are used to direct and align the groups secretly to move in the direction the imperialist powers decides by financing them and making them prominent and important to the groups thereby giving them much influence over the decisions these groups leaders makes for the masses, assuming a northern US asset is becomes important to the north cus he has proved to have power to provide modern weapons en masse when needed(the bait) another will have the power the finance any project(second bait) the north would rely on them and they can have considerable influence over any decision over the northern course of actions thereby turning the whole northern front a proxy imperialist tool.
These two elements above are being financed and sponsored by the USA and assuming the Biafrans had also been successfuly infiltrated the imperialist can play both sides to achieve their goals more effectively, they would fight when american wants and stops fighting when america wants, america decides who wins and who looses.
This form of subversion needs great planning and headstart if it is to work and americans knew that, they already have a long headstart and it now depends on whether they can indoctrinate and implement it smoothly.
PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Hamzat killed Abacha? by thoth: 8:08am On Oct 28, 2012
GenBuhari: @toth,
It surprises me also that Al Mustapha is not a natural suspect. To me after reflecting on the information available I would make Al Mustapha the main suspect.

Any police murder investigation would ask the following question.

1. Who was the last person to see the victim alive - Al Mustapha admitted he was there as Abacha took his dying breaths.
He never denied being with him but what he has neither been accused of or admitted was that he murdered Abacha, i myself would not have the grounds to make such accusation given the lack of evidence and motive to back it up, so there is the reason why you don't get to hear such accusations.
2. Who was in charge of victim's security and safety and why was it breached? - Al Mustapha was in charge of Abacha's security and safety.
In professional standing no security is foolproof and no security is invincible and based on same line of argument the term usually used was that the security of a certain system was "overpowered" and that does not make the security outfit guilty of the crime or does it ? If so all these policemen will be paying for every damn robbery that ever happened.
3. What actions did people take immediately after the death of victim - Al Mustapha actions in handing control of government to Abdulsalamu Abubakar amounted to him facilitating what in effect now looks like a covert coup. He must have known that Abacha and IBB were estranged and his role in handing over to Abdulsalami Abubakar is highly suspicious.
I have always failed to understand how he handed power over to Abdul or even influenced the outcome, as i understood the task to decide who succeeds Abacha lies with the Supreme Military Council and Al Mustapha was not part of the SMC.
PoliticsRe: Al Mustapha Hamzat killed Abacha? by thoth: 12:51pm On Oct 05, 2012
There are three points which are plausible given the events before and after the death of Abacha.
*Abacha did not die a natural death.
*IBB may have a hand or was aware of the plot to kill Abacha.
* IBB can due to his powerful influence within the military influenced the decision of the Supreme Military Council thereby having Abdul as the successor.
As much as i can not deny any of the above i can not accept it as factual as well and in all the theories that has been presented concerning the death of Abacha none does have a credible line enough to implicate Mustapha.
There could be many reasons why you could not come up with enough evidence against mustapha, one of them could be that such evidence does not exist though that is just a thought.
Assuming Abacha died by poisoning how can we create a link between how the poison was administered(which is still to be known) and mustapha.

Back in the days in Morroco there was this man the french wanted to kill but they found out after analysis that if the man dies suddenly or the masses perceive that he was assasinated the whole operation would backfire and the intended goal would not be achieved so they told the asset which was close to the man to poison him slowly, it took 6 weeks 6 days for the man to die, till today everybody but a few believed he died a natural death and if enquiries were even to be made nobody would suspect the asset which an insignificant person.
I am just trying to show you there are many ways things could go and the least possible is through Mustapha.
