E tire me. Nigerians have that kind of hypocrisy. The very same thing we do to ourselves or by ourselves and move on with life, when a foreigner does the same thing after observing our modus operandi, we start screaming racism. The typical Nigerian will only complain about drivers on one way if they are not in the vehicle plying the one way.

In the above narrative you made, I fail to see the maltreatment there especially as it relates to racism. If you called your Nigerian boss while he’s in a meeting he’ll most likely yell at you too. Knowing that the machines had legitimate purchase documents, why didn’t your driver go along with them initially and as for the issue if ‘give them 50 naira’, where is the lie? Even you admitted that you had to grease the palms of the policemen.
I’m not saying there aren’t instances of abuse by foreigners on Nigerians, this narrative no follow. It’s the same scenario that will follow if your boss was Nigerian. Our police force is fantastically corrupt and your Nigerian boss will give them the peace meal to avoid delays or troubles.

I remember when I worked with some crazy expatriates. We took our fax machines for servicing and the police stopped us on the way.

The driver called my boss and he yelled back at him saying "just give the idiots 50 naira, and please don't call back. I'm in a meeting". The driver had to go back and get the purchasing docs from the admin and still greased the palms of the rogue cops.

I pray justice is done because our policemen are very corrupt. They could just take some money from the man and free him. Nigeria is a very terrible place to live.

The bolded there is contradictory. You can’t refer to a group as a “fierce resistance defending a city” and still refer to them as civilians. Ukrainian government and military should stop using its civilians as human shields. It often doesn’t end well.

Because they(especially the men) realize they have traded their lives for nothing while their burden and responsibilities multiply exponentially.

Love is never enough to keep a marriage. To keep a marriage requires to not have any expectations of your self, of your spouse of life. You are required to be a donkey that has no mind of its own just do as you have been trained to. But of course we are in an era of self realization of self awareness and almost every one has a mind of their own so it competes against what’s expected of you in marriage. For most marriages that seem to be standing the test of time, the foundation is a limitlessly subdued dreams and aspirations a well kept secret of frustration and resentment. A case of suffering and smiling. (I’m not saying there aren’t really good marriages but, while we know the needle is in the middle of the haystack, finding it is difficult). Unfortunately, most people are afraid to talk about their frustration with marriage after all their neighbor, friend, brother etc who married before then are still sticking it out. But like one quote I read recently said ‘everyone seems to be doing fine until you have a heart to heart talk with them’.
