We stand by Ms. Agwu. She has been a dedicated member of the church and we will continue to support her and Mr. Akiyesi. It is our hope and prayer that in all of this, God is glorified and His house of worship above reproach.

In essence, they still do not recognize the existing marriage between Akiyesi and the first wife.

Siena: Hardly surprising.

I've always seen some of these churches as phoney, especially the RCCG.
Christ Embassy has always been at the top of my list. Followed by Winners.

RomanceRe: Things A Guy Must Learn Before Graduating From University by Tinyemeka(m):
PallyG: 1) You must learn how to plan your long term and short term goals
2)You must learn how to drive a car
3)You must learn how to manage your finance
4) You must learn how to be totally independent
5) You must learn how to speak in public
6)Finally, You must learn HOW TO TOAST A GIRL/ASK A BABE OUT..(very important)

add your suggestion to the list...CHEERS!!!
1) Never knew the meaning of that till I was a year into my second job.
2) Did that in my first year.
3) Finances. smiley Mastering how to cope with N10,000 for 2 months ba? smiley
4) Totally independent? Uni never taught me that. Life did.
5) Pass.
6) Funny, I never bothered about that. I only developed strong interest in it 4 years after grad. Now, I'm a wolfish pro in learner's attire. wink

Ok. My addition to the list:
1. You must learn how to muru anya ka azu (TDB jacking) at least once a week. Exam period, at least 4 times.

2. You may eventually make Nescafe a part of your diet. Me I chewed my own like garri after it stopped keeping me awake overnight when I drank it. Suffered the health consequences later. So don't try that.

3. You must learn how to stand for like 2 hrs and take lecture notes at the same time. If you are late, you'll do that from outside the window.

4. Uni also teaches you besides being a public speaker, on how to also be a debater, think laterally and adopt political stances. For those who wish to tow that path.
5. You'll learn how to cook beans with electric cooker and low voltage power.
6. Then after graduation, looking back in hindsight, you'll realise that missing out on rag-day activities and not going out to 'rag' all those four years, never affected your life, contrary to what some of those monkeys would have you believe.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Adeboye: A Jet is Necessary For God's Work by Tinyemeka(m): 8:12am On Apr 14, 2013
Billyonaire: Jesus did not have overseas membership Goddamnit. Our pastors have millions of members in over 160 countries. How many members did Jesus have ? Jesus needed a boat and a donkey and he used them. There was no private jet then, I am sure Jesus would have got one, if there was jet then and if he could afford to.
Palm Sunday. When Jesus was riding into Jerusalem, he had the choice of riding on a camel, a stallion, chariot or a donkey.

Guess which one he chose?
Christianity EtcRe: Who Guards The Most Sacred Site In Christendom? by Tinyemeka(m): 11:40pm On Apr 11, 2013
Believe me, it is related to your topic. I've often wondered at the kind of satisfaction derived by some people, who make pilgrimage journeys to Jerusalem, all expenses covered by the Govt purse.

What is the essence of making a pilgrimage?
RomanceRe: Why Women Dislike Nice Guys by Tinyemeka(m): 9:54pm On Apr 08, 2013
Mcleo007: It sucks being a nice guy, believe me. Be yourself and act within your boundary. You attract your kind. A nice girl attract a nice guy and a bad girl vice-versa
Oxymoron.

First you ask that I should believe you it sucks being a nice guy. Then you say one should be oneself. So what are people who are actually "nice" supposed to be?
EducationRe: Good English: A Sign Of Education & Intelligence? by Tinyemeka(m): 12:39am On Apr 08, 2013
Louis Pasteur, Niels Bohr, Archimedes, etc were all highly intelligent and educated men, who I'm very certain, could not even speak English. So where lies the validity of your question?

I've seen several people who speak so-called "phonee" English (TV and radio presenters inclusive) but are knowledge deficient and terrible spellers of those same English words when called upon to deliver. So can you then conclude that they are educated? I'd say yes to an extent.

The ability to speak fluent and perfect English is not a determi ant of ones intelligence or knowledge.

Most of the English language, accent, intonations, are learnt off of the TV these days. undecided

Billyonaire: It was during my first OBE, via Astral Projection, that I figured out that the human body has 'mechanical nature'. The rotation of the other body at exactly 360 degrees and clock-like sound during the rotation, the pop sound and explosive ejection of the inner body to space was an experience I can not trade. It re-defined me.

No man who is trying to keep things

text. They know that sends a serious

he likes you.
Very true. It shows that he's not just interested the s.ex alone. It's this deep longing for touch and affection.

PhonesRe: Reasons Why Blackberry Remain Better Than Android & Iphones In Nigeria by Tinyemeka(m): 8:41pm On Mar 31, 2013
I used to be a staunch BB fan. Till I got a Galaxy SII. Now I use the BB only for pinging (which is seldomly).

The only advantage of the BB is the BIS, but then Airtel BIS can be used on any device. They say the BB is a very secure device against malware. I haven't tested that.

There are just so so many apps available to android which wont work on a BB.

The BB is a great device. Believe me it's my first love (first smartphone), but there are so many things I enjoy with the android which I cant get from BB.

Without any hesitation, Glo mobile. For voice and data.
And I do not say that for patriotic reasons. The quality of service beats that of MTN. In all the locations I've resided in.

autchman144: "road network" and "perimeter wall" are 2 different things, get it. Network has several roads in it, hence the term network. Here, we're talking of a single stretch of wall
You didn't get the point made by the poster you'd just quoted. The moat was not exactly straight. There would have been corners and bends. Adding to its total length. It was not exactly a straight line.
PoliticsRe: 12 Shocking Facts About Nigeria by Tinyemeka(m): 8:23am On Mar 30, 2013
aare07: 5. Africa’s oldest known boat is The Dufuna canoe which was discovered in Dufuna village, Yobe state, by a Fulani Herdsman in May 1987, while he dug a well. Various radio-carbon tests conducted in laboratories of reputable universities in Europe and America indicate that the canoe is over 8,000 years old, thus making it the oldest in Africa and 3rd oldest in the world. The discovery of the canoe has completely changed accepted theories of the history and sophistication of marine technology in Africa.
Wow. I remember reading about this fact in JS class.

Nostalgic memories.

PoliticsRe: CBN Cancels N100 Monthly ATM Maintenance Fee... by Tinyemeka(m): 12:41am On Mar 30, 2013
PHIPEX: I believe the question we should ask is how much are banks in other countries charging for using ATM? Nigeria can't be an exception. To Nairalanders in diaspora, are you guys charged for using ATM?
Another question you should also ask is how much do those banks declare as deposits and other liabilities? What is their balance sheet profile?

Since you wish to compare UBA, FBN, Zenith and co with RBS, Barclays, BoNY and Mellon.

You can use Google while you wait for those in Diaspora to respond.
PoliticsRe: CBN Cancels N100 Monthly ATM Maintenance Fee... by Tinyemeka(m): 10:29pm On Mar 29, 2013
Banks are expected to pay interests on deposits, pay staff salaries, settle general running expenses, purchase ATM machines for approx N6m apiece, settle their carriage and installation costs, pay for UPS, inverter purchase and maintenance, etc. Yet are expected to declare mega profits and bonuses to investors year in year out.

If Nairaland has roughly 500,000 unique registered members, I'm sure not up to 80% of that number, regularly maintain above N50,000 as savings. Extrapolate that to the rest of Nigeria's banked population.

If banks incur such costs on ATM installation and maintenance and people expect the services to be free, what makes the survival of that business model any different from those of NITEL and NEPA?

Me I'm patiently watching.
