I won't lie, I'm laughing hard at ur post. But op throw the snake away, it killed the gecko with venom not mere constriction. Hope you know antivenoms are rare. Don't kill itself bro.
I'd beg to differ sir. It's non-venomous snakes that constrict. Not the other way round. OP's Simba constricted the gecko.

Was shocked to read the same news on Sahara Reporters just now. sad

Sad how it all turned out at the end of the day.

Leave flying for those that have been certified officially and 'supernaturally' fit to fly.

Rest In Peace. sad

Sahara Reporters has learnt that a former Governor Dambaba Suntai of Taraba State who survived an air crash at the Yola Airport in Adamawa State in 2012 has died.

Suntai died at home where he was undergoing rehabilitation for brain injuries arising from the plane crash. A former commissioner of information in the state, Emmanuel Bello confirmed the news of his demise to SaharaReporters. He promised to provide further details later.

Yes. it would get you back on track. I worked in a bank for years in the UK, but the amount being offered was very low compared to my previous earnings back in the UK so i returned to my first love i.e Engineering. I had to go back to school though as my engineering degree from Nigeria was hardly recognized.

I met a naija bros in University too back then. The bros had lots of SAP professional certificates from nigeria. He has a PMP too, but still returned to school to upgrade. Some very few are lucky though by getting jobs at their level of expertise without upgrading at a college or uni...
I'm currently facing a similar quandary. Have spent 9 years here in a Nigerian bank but I feel like I've only been wasting my time. I'm strongly tempted to fall back on my first degree (B.Sc Applied Microbiology) and pursue any of the 2yr After-Degree B.S.Nursing programs in Alberta or Toronto.

Did you consider age being a factor in your job prospects after going back to run another school program? Should I be bothered about that?

i followed a friend to SGI for his drivers test. In sask, all drivers test, insurance and registration are handled by a government agency called SGI. He is about to complete is Msc from the University of Regina. To get engineering positions without a drivers licence in Canada is tough. The license plus good drivers abstract (record) makes one a suitable candidate. He booked his test in a smaller city, and unfortunatly still failed. His 3rd attempt actually. He finally agreed to attend brush up classes.

Imo, the easiest way of passing the road test is to take up brush up classes at a driving school. Some of these driving schools know the exact routes the examiner tests people on. In alberta, calgary to be specific, it cost around $45 to 50 an hour for brush up lessons. It might be cost saving to attend brush up lessons and pass the test once or twice than relying on experience from Nigeria and failing the test more than 3 times or more.
I'm just curious. What is it exactly, that makes people fail driving tests? The roads seem wide and free. Pardon my naïveté.

CelebritiesRe: Mercy Aigbe Attends Widows Event In Her Hometown Despite Her Husband's Warning by Tinyemeka(m): 6:05pm On Jun 26, 2017
TunezMediaTV:
Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has trumped up more support for the widows in hometown in Benin City, Edo state where she recently attended a summit of African widows.

The actress was at the event in her capacity as an ambassador for a foundation which is bringing awareness to the plight of maltreated widows.

This comes after her estranged husband, Larry Gentry, complained bitterly about her involvement with a foundation for widows when he was still very much alive and well.

Larry had said in part, “…Makes me wonder why someone will take up being a widow ambassador when her husband isn’t dead.”

But Mercy Aigbe doesn’t seem to give the slightest hoot about her husband’s concerns as she expressed delight with her role with the widows.

She wrote on the gram, “Glad to lend my voice to this cause….bringing awareness to the plight of so many widows in our community…. Show love , support, care and empathize with them.”

if you are not too chossy and can do any job you can find in the first 3 month including construction then you have chance of getting a job before the countdown of your visa
put your mind on 90k to100k naira up ward for a start because what matters with tourist visa is the race to get employment before it runs down ...
and lastly it all depends on the favour of God because last month someone shared a testimony here that the day he landed he went for an interview and got employed and some after a month and some after 3 month like kaynine59 who got his job after the expiration of his visa and had to renew..
my brother pray hard and consult your pastor or imam for special prayers because you have different hurdles like....

HURDLES TO CROSS

1.getting the needed money for your travels starting from 800k which is not easy for a hustling nija guy who doesn't have a benefactor.
2.getting a reliable travel agent which is the most important and crucial step in your travel plans because if you fall into the wrong hands it can derail your travel plans or set you back many years because what can you do if your money is tied down with an agent who refuses to render the services he was paid to offer.
3.nija immigration which depends on offering them a little bribe for smooth passage except ones head doesn't want to travel.
4.getting a job before the 3 month visa elapses which i 've explained earlier

fast and pray because the success of your travel plans depends on your luck and destiny....
peace !!!!
My brother left for UAE Nov '16 and secured a 2 year contract same month. AED2,500/month, free accommodation and transport. The company also secured a 2-yr work visa for him, free. I guess he was favoured.

Read the interview and saw zero innovative ideology or presentation befitting of a national leader. Perhaps I might get to see a more concise interview later on.

When I read about countries such as Singapore, Cape Verde (Independence 1975), the city of Hong Kong, Monaco, Lichtenstein, et al on Wikipedia, I wonder what miracle will transform the country into a developed nation. Many times I still come to the conclusion that nations are better managed as smaller entities. Smaller conglomerations of highly educated, highly productive citizens, equally governed by intelligent, innovative, firm and upright leaders. Not deep-pocketed administrators with nothing positive to offer. No offense.

Oga you sound very confused. Had been ignoring your exchanges with the other fellow until you posted this one.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were bombed because Japan attacked Pearl Harbour. Were any of those attacks carried out because of religion? About the Korean peninsula you mention, has any religious issue been mentioned anywhere?

You seem to view the US as carrying out a religious agenda.

The treatment combined with prayers. The deepest respect I have for her, came more from how she understood the need for discretion, even at home. Nobody knew we went to the hospital that day. Wonder what my siblings would be thinking to this day, if they'd been told.

During that first 3 months, I slyly avoided sharing stuff with them but they didn't know. If we went to the barber's shop, I'd insist on my brother having his haircut before mine. It just wasn't funny.

No offence pls, just shocked that you kept it a secret.
PEP works when you start within 72hrs of exposure
Didn't trust the staff on confidentiality and discretion because I'd seen the kind of discussions they'd had about patients. After telling my mother, I commenced PEP. Within 72 hours of the needlestick. Depression and disappointment with myself made me hold it in those first 2 days. I was 18+.
