Religion / Re: Why Donโt Jw Fathers Sit For Their Daughter Who Gets Married To Non Witness? by tjadeba(m): 10:13am On Sep 24, 2023 |
Guys, it's been one hell of a ride for my sister who married a JW man. My sister made the error of getting into because we were indoctrinated by our Christian values to believe humanity comes before religion and that JWs believe in Christ. Alas! This has been the wrongest move. The JW doctrine is anti-christ. The husband doesn't allow my sister and the children to join us in family celebrations (Christmas, birthdays etc). The doctrine is too rigid and draconian. Our Lord Jesus never discriminated. They are not tolerant of other Christian sects which is bizarre to me. Like someone said, they have been warned not to collect Christian tracts but can freely distribute Awake 2 Likes |
Career / Re: I Am Approaching 40 And Am Scared My Dreams Are Not Realistic by tjadeba(m): 5:02pm On Apr 28, 2023 |
Don't overflog things because you will turn 40 soon. 1. You already have a clear plan to improve yourself by training on how to become a software engineer. You now need to dedicate more of your resources to this cause. Avoid excuses around what you need to invest in this i.e no data 2. You don't even need to have more kids. 2 is just fine and you will appreciate having this number in the long run. At 39, I had serious debt and so many other challenges and in-between I got married. 6 years down the line, the story is just opposite of that. There is still time. Just be focused on your plans . Ikjosh04: Yes, it is worth it. I studied engineering in Nigeria and topped it up with another UK degree in IT. That laid the foundation for my career path, although I proceeded to study for MSc in IT. You do not necessarily need to have a degree in IT to have a career in IT. And to your Canadian ambition, i will advise you always speak with the admissions department of the intended University and to avoid fraudulent claims on the internet, but if you think it will benefit you more to go through an education agent, there are very genuine ones in Nigeria too. You may need to google them too. I hope this information is helpful. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Rhymeyjohn: Hi yes, you can do that to...that's what I did. I had a degree in Nigeria too. I was in Portsmouth uni but many other universities offer such. Check the admissions portal of highly trusted universities (use that phrase in Google search) in the UK and there should be more information regarding that. You may not need to go through any agent now, but during my time, the university referred me to their agent on Allen Avenue Road, I think Glory Education. I hope this information is useful. |

Mine was a long and tortuous 10 years. First arrived the UK as student in 2009 on a 1 year visa for top up degree. I renewed the visa for another 18 months to complete my Masters degree. Then renewed for another 2 years on post-study work visa . After, this I had to renew my residence for another 3 years under the Entreprenuer visa. After that period, I extended the Entrepreneur visa for another 2 years. It was in the middle of the 2 years visa that qualified for PR. I am now in the middle of processing my citizenship/passport. Wow.. it wasn't easy but it is worth it. 39 Likes 3 Shares |
Travel / Re: 10 Places To Visit In Nigeria During Christmas Holidays by tjadeba(m): 12:39pm On Dec 26, 2019 |
I went to Obudu in August 2016... it was looking desolate. My wife and I appear to be their only guests, nothing was functioning, the cable car etc. Also, the restaurant was lifeless but we met another family who came to have dinner, perhaps they didn't even lodge in the chalets inside the ranch. Has anything changed since late 2016 to warrant such claim that is a must visit during holiday season? |

Where in the post did the poster refer to his/her location? hucienda: Do you know the number of people who have taken this illegal opportunity and successfully integrated into same country over the years? It was an opportunity and like every opportunity in life, its expiry is in sight. The socio political situation in Africa will always fuel this type of bad scenario. |

So are you telling me if there is an opportunity for immigration, people shouldn't take advantage of it? How is it an abuse if an opportunity is open to a multitude who are ready to use it?? |
Car Talk / Re: End Of Discussion Mechanic In Ibadan by tjadeba(m): 9:55am On Oct 11, 2018 |
temmym4: Thanks and I am in your school of thoughts... That's why I am looking for a properly grounded mechanic who will properly scan the car to diagnose what it is. Yes I think it's the steering pump but will still like an expert diagnose and recommend before I repair. |
Car Talk / Re: End Of Discussion Mechanic In Ibadan by tjadeba(m): 2:33pm On Oct 10, 2018 |
autologic: The car may need to be diagnosed really. It makes a funny sound when the steering is turned full lock to the left or right. Also, there is a sound coming from inside the engine and the local mechanic thinks it is the water pump. Finally, the local mechanic thinks there is an issue with the injector as the car does not respond quickly to acceleration. You now see why I need a trained Honda mechanic to check for me? I live outside Ibadan so I don't have much information about the city. The car is in Ibadan |
