If i say Muslims and Christians serve the same God or better still, serve same God but understand HIS modus operandi differently, does that make a muslim Christian ?
I think what qualifies one to be called a christian is that he/she believes that Christ the son of God came, died on the cross for the sins of the world, resurrected after 3 days and was ascended into heaven and start to live the life of Christ by the help of the holy spirit.
And I also think a muslim believe that Christ is not the son of God,HE is not the messiah as HE claimed hence never died for the sins of any one,did not resurrect from the dead since HE didn't die in the first place but will return to the earth to...... ! huh
If the two have such a vast contrasting views of The lord Jesus Christ, how then are we to believe they serve the same God,where the bible God said Jesus is HIS only begotten son and the quran God said HE has no son ?

Your opinion please and no insults !

God help us
what makes you a christian is your desire to live a life of christ. Christianity meanns "christ like"
it doesnt depend on your belief or your view of God.

Hence, many of us who parade ourselfs as christian arent really christian since our life action doesnt really reflect christ.

Similarly an atheist , a muslim or a pagan may intentionally or otherwise live a life with much similarity to christ..
Such person is a xtian irrespective of belief

Tgirl4real: I would like to inform us that Seun is not bound to appoint anyone nominated here. This is an exercise done in good faith, hopefully, a moderator will emerge from it.

I don't wanna give false hopes.
why should we nominate someone when our nominee might not even make it there

when seun may impose one on us

wont it be a fruitless excercise

Is anyone interested in moderating this section? Before answering that question, you might consider this

a)ur personalityy ;are you emotional?can you control your temper? Have you heard experience in public service? If you are insulted , how would you rreact

cool competency ; if you are going for a job interview and you are told the previous staff , a proffessor was sacked for incompetency, woulddny u reexaamine urself

c) can u take insults, humiliation, embarasment ; a common trait of most one man buisness

4) wont you consider the muslim -xtian wahala in this forum, how do you intend curbing it so u dont repeat predessor mistake

5) can you take orders, commands to do or say what you hate

6) are u willing to defend the management decision with ur life whether it makes sence to you or not

7) are u an extremist?

Moderator , its obvious no one likes you here, how then do you want to start an election when your name is stained.

Must you moderate the election? Y cant you transfer it to someone else ? A judge cannot rule his own case. Its better someone else from this section or another mod from another section..

Your name is not wanted here
Islam › Muslims, Is This True? by tobechi20(op): 12:10am On Aug 11, 2013
THE FOLLOWINGis a list of twelve odd facts about Islam — a list I found at IslamRevealed.com:
1. It is a sin to pluck your eyebrows.
2. It is against Islamic doctrine to have pictures in your home.
3. If a Muslim wife refuses to wear a veil, others will see her as her husband's slave rather than his wife.
4. The punishment for having unmarried sex is whipping with a hundred lashes and then being exiled for a year.
5. Getting into Paradise is usually not a sure thing. Your good deeds must outweigh your bad deeds, but who knows for sure if they do? But there are three things youcan do toguaranteeyou'll make it to Paradise: a) killing a non-Muslim in battle, b) if two of your children were killed fighting for Allah, or c) memorizing the ninety-nine names of Allah.
6. Allah not just allows, butencouragesMuslims to deceive non-Muslims if it willfurther the goals of spreadingIslam.
7. Women are not allowed to wear hair extensions or a wig.
8. Wearing the color yellow isforbidden.
9. A Muslim must avoid yawning. Mohammad said,"Yawning is from Satan."
10. Dogs should be killed. All dogs.
11. Mohammad recommended women breastfeed young men. Then the men are considered family and would be allowed to talk to the woman unveiled. However, once she breastfed him, he would not be allowed to marry her.
12. It is a sin to lie on your back and cross your feet.

Seun, since ure here...plz there has been lots of aggitations by majority here to divide the atheist and christian group.

They should have same favor d muslims have....that christians dont result to violeence doesnnt mean we like it when atheist make certain remark. Dont take xtian friendloness for a weakness. Saperate atheist subforum and saperate christianity subforum
Nairaland General › Re: Has Manmustwac Been Sacked? by tobechi20(m): 5:22am On Aug 09, 2013
Seun: After reading manmustwac's so-called explanation,
I am now 100% sure that I made the right decision.

He's not a good fit for my e-team, at the very least, &
it seems that he's deliberately trying to start a civil war.
THIS IS BECOMING CLEARER

mmw is a mod and should have acted as a poblic relation officer.he ought to defend the management decision even if it is against his personal ethics. Mmw should have in a way, tried to justify mac's action to christkid. Instead, he chose to join d masses to protest to nairaland management.

Seun has been observing this but decided to ignore. He saw mmw message and intentionally ignored it. Instead, he harboured grudges to mmw for not defending d management instead of joinin d masses to question certain managerial actions . He has therefor been looking for a reason to sack this " mass friendly" moderator.

Mmw finally gave him a reason by making a stupid comment which broke d rules. Seun didnt bother to ask him to explain himself,, he instantly sacked him and began searching for "christian" mod .

Manmustwac...hope uve learnt ur lesson.

Never chriticise ur oga at the top

always defend her action publicly

never use threatning words....

Since u can hide ur atheism and pretend ure christian publicly, this should be a small thing
Nairaland General › Re: Has Manmustwac Been Sacked? by tobechi20(m): 1:22am On Aug 09, 2013
I havent been actively involved in nairaland these days, just briefly as a guest

am realy carried away by this thread . I have opened the first to this page and read every detail . I must admit , i have learnt a lot

1) buisness is buisness ;never mix personal emotion with buisnes else.....manmustwac took his role personal and ovvereacted

2) seun..is not as matured as i used to think,

3) no condition is permanent...u can sleep and wake up just to discover that ure sacked

4) ogas at the top who make hasty decisions make mistakes they end up regreting. This is y i like jonatan....he may be sloow, but he takes his time.
however, i got few questions/clarification

1) i belived mmw made d remark once out of annoyance. Was there any warning?did u point out his wrong doing behind doors ? Hw was mmw reaction afterward?

Or did u just take a hasty decision .if yes, then it is obvious that u have haboured d intention to remove him for a long time patiently waiting for him to make mistake

2) mmw and mac have been cat nd dog for a long time. Werent u aware? Isnt it ur duty to reconcile the two? Is there no direct link b/w u andur mod?

3) u were very quick to search for replacemant.......two born again christians.....do u tink we have a problem with religion of the moderator? Or u expect the xtians here to praise u for that? We dont mind if d mod is a pagan, cultist or satanist.

Though i have had prob with mmw in d past, d guy is a better mode than u are

remember, wrong actions happen out of good intention.... U belive u are taking a good decision but only time will tell

lest i forget, dis is ur personal buisness. U have every right to act like abrahimovic.....sack seven coaches in ten years only to hire one of them back

Chibuebem: doing good doesnt qualify you for heaven, philanthropic activities do not qualify one for Life. Believing and confessing gives us salvation. Its simple you see, God made it that way, no one can boast of doing good to enter heaven. WE DO NOT GET INTO GODS KINGDOM BY DOING GOOD, WE GET THERE BY ACCEPTING JESUS SALVATION BY FAITH. Inspite of his good works, if bill gates is perfect and free from sin, both by nature and in life, he should contact me, lets talk. grin
faith alone will take us nowhere......faith witout goodworks is vanity.

because

1) Jesus came for non belivers.....doctor come for sick

2) atheist have always being wanting to meet God. This should be an oppurtunity

3) there are probably more pastors iin heaven and no atheist.so why add to d number

4) the devil u know is better than angel u dont know..trust me,pastors are unpredictable, support one issue today and kick against it tomorrow

Foreign Affairs › 89 Year Old Mugabe Contests For Seventh Term...why Does This Old Man Want Power by tobechi20(op): 12:19am On Aug 02, 2013
HARARE (AFP) – Zimbabwe’s veteran leader Robert Mugabe once quipped that he would rule his country until he turned 100.
It may have been just another witty remark from the notoriously sharp-tongued leader, but at 89, Mugabe shows few signs of flaggingas he bids for a seventh turn in office.

A new constitution approved in March could see Mugabe serve another two terms — until he is 99 years old — but he could not hide his age on the campaign trail.
His trademark walkabout was dropped in favour of a wave to supporters from the back of a van and as he harangued his enemies from the podium, his elbows leaned heavily onit for support.
Mugabe’s health has been a topic of much speculation in recent years.
He makes frequent medical trips to Singapore — purportedly to treat cataracts — and a 2008 US diplomatic cable published by Wikileaks mentioned he had prostate cancer.
But Mugabe retains an iron self-confidence, telling the New York Times in a rare interview ahead of Wednesday’s election: “The 89 years don’t mean anything.”
“They haven’t changed me, have they? They haven’t withered me. They haven’t made me senile yet, no. I still have ideas, ideas that need to be accepted by my people.”

He has also taken aim at homosexuals, calling them “worse than pigs and dogs” and even fellow freedom fighter Nelson Mandela has notescaped his invective, being branded “too saintly, too good” to South Africa’s white population.
