I have come to learn from experience that even a lot men who claim to love and want independent women really can’t handle them, leemao. And then of course, there are the ones who vehemently and openly abhor us, leemao. In whichever form they come however, they are one and the same. Shine your eyes sis!

A lot of men would argue that they don’t want “liabilities” as wives, and they want women who can hold their shit down, issokay (I’m trying desperately to not loose my home training in this post��). Howeverrrr, these men really do not want you to blossom and shine. There are the ones who do not want you to have any type of independence – in your finances, in your choices, not even with your body!

And then there are the ones who are okay with you having your own money, as long as you do not earn more than they do, so long as you transfer ownership of your life (in whatever degree) to them. These men love their egos greased so love it when you reduce yourself to accommodate all that unhealthy amount of ego they carry around.

So even if you can sort yourself out, collect upkeep money from them, fuss about needing to get a new wig or dress, make it seem like you’re dependent on them, make them feel good.

A lot of men, because of the way unhealthy masculinity has been touted, would want you to shrink yourself to accommodate them – shrink your earning your accomplishments, your personality.
