No. Proof of payment and your registration details are okay.

Not a lot to share... Australia has been good to me financially, but I am a married man living single and watching my daughter grow up over Skype. Not to mention bodi dey catch my Mrs, not to mention me. And the reunification process is taking too long. More importantly, though, the govt policies here seem to be turning their backs on legal immigrants, and the people in my experience have a way of seeing every black man as a refugee by default. Never mind that I wear my shirt and got to work everyday for one of the largest funds in the country. I have been following this thread and I see all the support systems the Canadian govt has in place to help serious, hardworking, qualified immigrants, and it is astounding. But since I got to Australia, I have had to do it all by myself. I haven't heard from the govt except when it was time to file my tax returns. I don't mind doing it all by myself, but if there is a place where someone wants to help me succeed, I see no reason not to take the chance. And then finally (and most importantly) Australia is not multicultural enough. There are very few nigerians and black people here, and many are from the refugee system. I do not want my daughter to grow up the only black kid in her class and come home one day asking me why her hair is not long. So I guess, in summary, I am leaving Australia because of my young family.
This is very interesting and your reasons are extremely cogent.

Thanks for sharing and all the best in your desires to relocate.

We have observed that some Nigerian graduates abroad and
sometimes in their NYSC usually have difficulties in getting someone
to assist them in processing of their transcript or academic
documents. We have decided to fill in this space and assist you in
your transcript processing. For now we are only able to assist
University of Benin graduates.

You can be rest assured this is safe and legit as we are only here to
offer a helping hand to fill in this gap and with security improving in
Nigeria daily, you can easily trace us with our number, so we won't
default in anyway but constantly give you updates on the transcript
process for only a small token.

Australia hasn't been all that, so here's hoping Canada will be more rewarding...
How long did you stay in Australia and in what city? Care to share your story?

I was wondering when i read it. Because, for instance you're in traffic and going uphill... Driving a manual in this situation without rolling back is what differentiates the learner from the driver.

ndcide:
Reading number 4, it's obvious the Op, drove manual in a long while or drive only new cars.

If so, you are not an authority.... Some times, no 4 is inevitable.

Wow... Lol... I would advise people to practice for listening using their head phones and speaker, that way you are prepared for anything that comes during the test. On my exam day in ph centre, so many head phones weren't working, they suggested we use the speaker, u needed to see how people screamed like were... They immediately suggested we begin with reading test while they go fix the head phones. We did the listening test second with head phones eventually.
Lol after picking BC because of headphones they'll now say use speaker lmao. Trust Port Harcourt/ SOuth SOuth folks. I'm sure if its Abuja we'll be too busy forming to scream or protest.

Thank u jare. All these speaker headphone brouhaha sef. Coman ask those of us that started this IELTS journey since 2013-2014, na speaker for National Theater, Iganmu hall British council dey use. When did British council upgrade to headset sef. Early 2015.

Apart from the MOD/IDP cost of EOR/remarking, I don't think there's anything wrong in using speakers. Just focus and concentrate.

Wish everyone good luck.
Even the remarking though expensive at least you don't have to wait weeks for result so it's still advantageous. British Council sha their shakara is just too much.

hahahaha so i have mature enough to call someone JJC. Check page 0 there's a link to abbreviations. But PUM means pick up mail. Fastest way to learn is to read page zero and follow all the links.

MOD is an organisation that coordinates IELTS, just like British Council (BC).

Omo, I just got cancellation mail from them today o; retards!!! even after I made same day payment after registering and sent them the required mail with all my details immediately. Things just cant work seemlessly in this country sha.
It's not too late, go to their office this morning or have someone go for you. Hopefully you still get your original date.

Things can work seamlessly in this country, BC are just basically inefficient and insensitive. I'd advice anyone who doesn't have time for manual processing to go for MOD.

Exactly the same thing happened to me I was forming busy and almost lost my date. Meanwhile refund is technically impossible.

Please that number never goes through o, or is there any other number I can reach them on?.
Im even considering cancelling totally and getting a refund and using the MOD IDP since they have closer test dates
Please go to their office with your details and proof of payment or have someone go for you. Don't let them cancel your test date.

As for refund, you can try sha but long thing. It takes 40 days and there are terms and conditions attached.

I had the same issue with mine and even got a cancellation mail and naturally, I became really worried and tried to contact them to no avail , I eventually got a confirmation mail from them a day or 2 after that, so if you've sent proof of payment to them, don't worry, by the time they do their reconciliation, they'll send you a confirmation mail.
I just experienced this same issue, fortunately my test date wasn't changed. I sincerely regret using British Council. All they do is collect fees, no customer care, they're unreachable on phone. If i could turn back the hands of time I would register with MOD and save myself all this unnecessary drama. Customer care is more important to me than headphones during exam.

And now see how they're grading everybody poorly in writing test. It is well o.

I don't know if you are serious about this or just sarcasm. Anyways, I'm looking for a partner so could take the risk together. If listening is the only problem, we could apply for remarking, its also stated that a refund will be made should your band increase after remarking. I have sent you a mail please respond
I've responded to your mail.

Thanks dear, I sha wanted to use them because they're new in town and less people know about them, talking about the speakers, people who have used them said they got better scores, I guess with less people it might be fair. I don't know if they are licensed by ircc and if I can use the result for express entry.
Interesting. You actually know people that used them and got better scores? Please tell me more.

I just checked and their fees are same with BC, but they have a closer date available (March 24) which is very tempting to me. BC has no free dates till April.

However :

Thank you for contacting MOD IELTS Contact Centre.

Please be informed that the cost of EOR at our Centre is NGN46,124 ( Forty Six Thousand One Hundred and Twenty Four Naira Only).

Payment for EOR must be made at the time of application for Remark and Candidates will be given a full refund if there is an increase in band on any of the test component.

Best Regards,

MOD IELTS TEAM

I've really enjoyed this thread, thanks to all the gurus making the place happen. I prefer Australian weather and employment opportunities to Canada, but due to uncertainty of not getting 189 or even 190 because social science is not favored on SOL list, I hereby give up my aussie dream and port to the Canada thread. AUD1200 assessment fee is not beans at all.

Good luck to everyone here and may this year be your testimony!

"First set".
My point exactly. It isn't a common course in Nigeria.

There's this clause on AASW "The AASW can only assess your qualification/s as eligible if you have been specifically trained in social work and you are eligible for membership or registration in your country of training (where such a body exists)".
This was in response to the question about related courses like sociology and co..

I also saw that there's a social worker association in Nigeria. Even though the website looks tacky as anything, you might want to contact them and see if they have any information.
You never know.
Thanks for taking time to respond. I found the association, there's also an institute. I'll contact them both this week.

The whole thing has been giving me headache. I'd already settled for social professional nec with NT nomination, but vetassess wahala and POF will make this social work route easier.

In the interim I think I will start applying for transcript and register for ielts.

Please I heard UNIBEN is now doing online transcript, even saw a website to that effect. Had anybody used this option before?

Abeg make nobody refer me back to read thread, I'm already at page 110 abeg eye dey turn me.

Thanks to anyone who has info on or contact for UNIBEN transcript.

I believe the person will get positive assessment.
There's no social worker course in Nigeria really..the closest is Sociology..so package well and it should fly..
Thanks for the encouragement. There are social work courses sha o, diploma and masters and I think UNN offers BSc. It is well.

Apparently AASW is even saying they are now able to access people with qualifications lower than a degree.
This is good news for those of you who studied 4 years social work related courses in a tier 2 university.
What of someone who studied sociology buy has more than five years experience as a social worker? Is there any hope for positive assessment from aasw?

This whole thing is quite tough for social science folks sha.

Hello everyone and good morning. Thanks to all who are making this thread a lifeline.

Please I've read as many pages as I can, but have not seen the answer to my question.

How much should one budget for this whole process?

1. IELTS
2. Vetassess
3. EOI
4. Medicals
5. Police report
6. Balance needed in account to apply for visa
7. Visa
8. Ticket
9. Realistic amount needed in account to tide over your first few months there.

Please estimates are okay, but if anyone just finished a payment and has fresh idea kindly share.

Thanks a lot guys, abeg no jump me pass.
