The selection of Tunde Bakare attracted me to Buhari's candidacy and nudged me towards wanting to know more about the man. There have been a million articles saying why he cannot be the man and interestingly enough those reasons made me more resolute. He ruled with an iron fist, trampled on human rights, he's a fanatic etc. I see it this way: I have owned a generator for 12 months and that same generator has given me one headache after the other, i keep fueling it, keep calling mechanics to come fix it, keep changing one part or the other but the generator in return emits smoke that kills my pets, prevents plants from growing in my garden therby discouraging neighbours with seedlings that germinate into beautiful flowers from giving me any more seeds, rather the neighbours uproot the grown plants earlier given to me before they die off completly. With all the destruction that this generator is wrecking in my environment it doesn't even power my house! It makes such horrible noise and powers one electric bulb with the dimmest of lights and stays on for the minutest of minutes. Please my dear friends do I continue using this accursed generator or should I buy another brand that has been tested and trusted? Though some people say the brand works too hard, doesn't tolerate nonsense from any of it parts -not even the tiniest bolt, does the job it was purchased for, releases minimal noxious fumes, my pets live, my plants grow and by the time its engine wears out I'd have other sources of power to choose from. What am I to do? |
The situation does have a nasty stink to it and I'd rather do some digging before further comments. I'm sure there's a rational explanation. |
All Nigerians are corrupt but some are more corrupt than others (adapted from Animal Farm) It stands to reason that if we have so many corrupt individuals in the country then one cannot help being surrounded by them. Where I would have a problem with Buhari is IF any corruption charge can be brought against the man himself, or it can be proven that he defends, tolerates, wines and dines with thieves. If no such thing, then these propagandists should go sit their a.sses d fuckx down. |
Awon eleyii won madt gaan. |

Thank you Modath :-) |
Thank you so much Crystal, This is a start though i'd like to see more protein intake n less eba. It doesn't look like a table designed for weight loss so I'd make some modifications, see how it looks and also sound u guys out. Thank you babes. |
Here's another thing, i'm one of those people who like regiment. Been trying to come up with a food plan but the thing looks boring so far. Perhaps when I get back home, I'd put it up for y'all to see. So the koko of all the story is dat I need a food plan based on naija foods so please, please and please can anybody be kind enough to put up a food table for me. Your reward is dat it wld be followed religiously and u'd also have my eternal gratitude. Please nobody should tell me to search cos dat has been done n d few tables i saw were horrible. Either too many eggs or too little substance. My current stats This time 2 yrs ago I was weighing 70 kg and complaining bitterly NOW It's at an annoying 75 or 76 whole kg! I'm just 5"4 What else am i supposed to mention? People would be like " you are not that fat and bla bla bla" and my response to them is "fat is fat". Orobo is orobo n I wan leave that category cos me never even born pikins dem. Anyways, I dont wanna become lepa shandy oh. So I figure 65kg would do just nicely and I also wanna get a start on healthy living and maintain it for life. Thanks people. |
@HG, dat current worry of yours is one thing that gives me major headache. Weight loss makes the bre.ast smaller and softer since it is made up mainly of fat. There are bust firming exercises one can do but even the professionals would tell you that if there is any significant weight loss you might not see the difference. Rest assured tho dat the muscle behind get stronger as you work it so once u acheive your desired weight, your bosom can come close to before - in terms of firmness that is. The size is gone forever. Congratulations on the weight loss. @topic I was doing fine until a weekend away with my friends came up ( dat was upper weekend) We ate rubbish n drank heaps of alcohol and for the week after i was just like "aw, fuckx it!" Glad to report though that i got back on track this morinin with an hour long walk. Will be taking it slowly and start to post my logs from tomorow, i promise. |
sewa36447:His comment is just like saying the sun is hot, he stated the obvious. We all know that no political party owns Nigeria. What has he done to make the lot of the common Nigerian man better? Burying his head in the sand. He's in a position that can effect massive change and yet all he can say is obvious things. Tunde Bakare, na you biko |
The problem is most of these men of God would rather sit on the fence than come all out and speak up for what is good. He said Nigeria is for Nigerians! Really? |
Hour_Glass:Thank you HG and thumbs up on the achievement. GenBuhari:Thank you GenBuhari. Just so you know I'm for BB all the way. @ Modath, let's just say I'm looking to lose abt 10kg. Will b back with stats and logs soon. Thank you |
Signing up! Been a distant observer for a while, like what is going on and just decided to join y'all. Lets see how it goes ^^^ @ Hour_Glass Been observing the 'cups' you usually mention, you mentioned once that a cup equals 1 evaporated milk can. Please is it the regular evaporated milk or condensed? |
What is all the racket about? The man said "if PDP rigs" not "if PDP wins" and ppl are spewing 'inciting violence' theories. If PDP can win fairly then no kain but if what happened in 2007 repeats itself, let there be violence oh cos Nigerians cannot remain complacent. Enough is Enough |
PANIC MODE! Can't find my 'music n me' CD!!! |
Nate Dogg is about to make some bodies turn cold. Now they dropping and yelling, it's a tad bit late, Nate Dogg n Warren G had to regulate. I loveeeee this guy, dis is so hard, i'm so sad. |
Is anything wrong with that? |
As far as I am concerned, dis Ribadu is just a dilution. A good number of votes that would ordinarily have gone to Buhari would be coming his way and as d saying goes, "united we stand, divided we fall". Fine, the CPC doesn't have a 'structure' so to speak. Why don't we vote in Buhari as president and well meaning ACN card holders on other levels? |
andrewsega:Right. What's love gotta do with it though? |
@ damas Word. Hear hear, the man wants to inspire our trust by the way he lives? Then you need to change your lifestyle clueless mr president. |
Jarus:Hmm do you tend to procastinate too or just reading the book cos it's available? @ Topic The Inheritors - Harold Robbins |
12? Looks more like an 8 to me |
Chai! see manifesto! I just wish the BB team could be more visible i'm sure they'll swing people their way. I don't care whether they are dictators, thieves or whatever as long as we'll be trying a different formula. Let's see where this takes us cos a nation can't be having same leaders year in year out and expect differences in its standard. |
boriswole:The suggestion was not that St. Nicholas should raise the funds but that the monies be paid into the hospital's account or maybe one approved by them. I don't know how possible that is but there has to be a way for this to be somewhat official. |
Almost everything. We don't share a plate though, i don't like eating meals with anybody and for some reason he likes my toothbrush. |
@ Boriswole If you are a moderator here, y didn't u use your main account? That might have lent your post some credibility. You should understand that whoever wants to give on this forum would be sparing their hard earned money and nobody wants to be hoodwinked. Again. I like Justwise and Aisha2's suggestion abt getting the hospital involved. Please give this appeal some creibility by at least showing it's not going into getting someone a new car or whatever. |
obinna5000:THAT! especially ![]() |
^^^ That is one thing they are good at. There would be a resolution and adequate compensation. You might need to rake small sha |
AjanleKoko:With gini? Will holla at u |
Oh Lordy Lordy! |
Sorry about that OP. I actually use Swift and the only issue I have is the 10gig limit on my preferred plan. It might just be teething problems though. What part of lagos do you stay? Call their customer care lines over an over again, it'll be resolved and like a friend of mine, you might even get one xtra month free once it starts to work. |
