Family › Re: Is There A Limit To Making Love To One's Wife? by tpiah: 2:39pm On Jun 10, 2009
shades:
nairalanders, i need your candid opinions on this issue.i just got married to my wife.although i knew she was not a virgin, we never had pre-marital sex due to her new found faith and religious beliefs. now we are married and my wife complains that i demand too much sex! frankly, i dont ask her for it more than three times a week, but she feels am demanding too much. this is not minding that she wont allow me to do it more than once on the night. besides, she is not romantic at all, though i know she loves me and we so much compliment each other.please i need to know how many times one can make love to his wife and if i actually have a high libido by demanding for sex three times a week. it will be right to let you guys know that we dont have a kid yet, though she is 2 months pregnant now. i beginning to think of extra marital affairs because of this issue.
demanding sex wont put her in the mood. And its not only pregnant women who get tired of sex every now and then.  One of my friends refused her boyfriend once, and they werent even married at the time.

Like people pointed out, good sex isnt always about fast wham and bam. Sometimes you have to set the mood during the day.

but since your wife is pregnant, her hormones may be acting up.

Are you asking about her feelings and doing other things to make her comfortable and happy? huh

and no, dont forget the art of toasting. You dont have to stop just because she's your wife. No be the same moves you go use when you're scouting for other women?
Culture › Re: If The Proposed Jewish Origin Of The Igbo Is Because Of "self Esteem Issues": by tpiah: 1:51pm On Jun 10, 2009
I dont really see why this issue is such a big deal.

Jews of today are a mixed bunch, just like the Jews of ancient times. They arent the original Hebrews of the bible (who were also mixed btw).

They've always been mixed ever since the relocation to Egypt. Likewise, they got more admixture during their stay in Babylon. By WWII, many were in Europe and most looked exactly like Europeans. Why? Because they were Europeans.

Olaudah Equiano obviously included that part of his narratives because he heard it from somewhere.

The reason the Jews always stood out in ancient times was because they rigidly stuck to the worship of one God, no matter where they were. At least outwardly. Back then that was unusual (and very stubborn) since 98% of other nations were idol worshippers.

anyway, to each his own.
Politics › Re: See Who Delivered The Parcel That Killed Dele Giwa by tpiah: 1:33pm On Jun 10, 2009
all these personal problems shouldnt stop people from doing their jobs.

This is why I fear politics- its a dog-eat-dog situation and also a dirty game.

btw, i thought two army officers confessed to delivering the parcel?  Or do I have the wrong version.

Sad Dele Giwa had to die in such a manner though.

lord help us.

Romance › Re: Pls Everyone Am I Anti-social Or What? by tpiah: 12:41am On Jun 10, 2009
more people are keeping to themselves these days for various reasons, including the lack of privacy and invasion of personal space which is very common abroad where every tom, d*ck and harry is all up in your personal business.

However, it could be a phase.

Easy internet access doesnt always help matters, I'm afraid. grin if you're not careful you get used to being either on the computer or staring at the tv for a good part of the day- time that could better be used resting or doing some other activity.

You can also look for some kind of club that does things you're interested in or would like to take up.

No man is an island, but I think you'll probably perk up after a while.

Look at the belt loop. is that the kind of loop u have on your green trouser[/quote]oh, you mean the belt holes.

ok, you've convinced me.

However, I'm sure I can buy the required outfit should I need one.

And my main question still stands:

Is corporal punishment a part of Nigerian culture or not? huh

what other forms of discipline do we have in that country?

Politics › Re: Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) military training (pics) by tpiah: 6:25pm On Jun 08, 2009
I'm not even saying the OP's claims and photos (minus the last one) arent valid.

However, Nigerians as a whole tend to go overboard with corporal punishment.

parents flog their children, teachers flog the students, tribes flog each other and so on ad infinitum.

So someone who didnt go to the NDA at Kaduna wont experience any of these things pictured here, in that Nigeria?

yeah right. Can I have another story.

Speak of the devil. Does this michelin person have an agenda or is nairaland policy against people relating by state.

On this list of hers, she didn’t even include any state besides Abia and Anambra but only mentioned the tribes.

And if that’s an oversight, then why is she going around discouraging people from interacting by state?

This Michelin is Igbo crazy I swear.

A lot of Nigerians have serious identity issues. Smh.

Sunny Bobo, do you have any evidence showing that last picture is related to the thread title?

Your signature alone has given you away.

And you want to prove Nigerian disciplinarian tactics are found only at the NDA, right?

No Nigerian has ever been punished in their non-NDA school or at home.

Corporal punishment isnt part of Naija culture, abi?
