No offense but is this what you saw growing up? I've logged back in after goodness knows how long and I've come across at least two of your posts and they've been misogynistic; unless you're just trying to get a rise out of people and then...

k2039: It's an understatement for me to say, I was surprised. I saw this coming, when you see old athetes like Tyson Gay (30 years) with a long history of injury hitting personal bests, it only takes time to decipher the truth.

You've written nothing but truth.

davidylan:

I wonder why "she" is any business of you folks who cant help urselves telling us how good your own lives are. Live it and stick your nose out of that of others.

My preference is strictly what it is . . . mine.

Depends . . . many of you read stuff on the web posted by faceless goons and lap it up with no sense of reason at all. No shocks there.

pointless. Exactly what was this meant to convey?

1. that it is WRONG to "search hard"?

2. That it is better to pretend like the "independent, strong, black women" here and not search at all?

Oh YEAH i did search hard but it wasnt on here so i wonder how it was "painfully obvious". I've been barely a regular here since June so exactly when was it "painfully obvious" to you? And why was it "painfully obvious" to you? how was it your business?

I'd rather her than the morons here. She can look like the moon for all i care . . . the irony of it all is that none of the loudmouths crying here look 10% as good as she does. IF she were in a line with you and the others i'm sure 99% of the guys would pick her.

Enjoy your miserable lives.

Oh, see baby cry! I don't know or care about what others say but I do live a good life because I work hard and deserve it. Is my life always a bowl of cherries? No but whose is? The irony of you saying people should mind their business when you're quick to interject in the matters of others. You're obviously butt-hurt right now by the comments in this thread but I never imagined that you'd come sobbing and wheezing like a girl going through PMS. Take a Midol and just hush, sweetheart.

As for my comment about you looking hard, I didn't want to come right out and mention you coming off as DESPERATE for a mate. Your own comments convey how pressed you were to find someone, anyone to call your own. There's nothing wrong with that but you've got your heckles up; I must have struck a nerve, eh Davy? You must really hate women (I've already mentioned to you that you can be disgustingly hateful towards certain groups) to keep going on about "independent, strong, black women". Let me stop before I say too much; you've exposed yourself more than enough here.

As for picking your girl over the women here, you should pick her over us. "She's" your girl, doofus!  cheesy I don't care what a line-up of NL men (*PAUSE* Not everyone cares about acceptance from a group of 'faceless goons; we're not all like you, David the Desperate.) think as I already have a man but you'd have to take me word for it.  grin grin I'm not so hard up for attention that I'd post his picture on NL to just to prove a point.  grin grin

I don't know about others but you're very hateful/hostile for a Christian; you must be a CHINO. I genuinely wished you happiness and you say I should 'enjoy [my] miserable life'? Tsk, tsk! May the 'joy' you wish upon others be your reward tenfold. Let the church say 'Amen!'.

Rules and Regulations mean little on NL; even some Mods are keen on breaking the rules they've been entrusted to uphold.

I'm sorry but I'm confused: you are Ghanaian but have a Nigerian birth certificate? Are you saying you were born in Nigeria to Ghanaians or that you are Ghanaian through and through but possess a Nigerian birth certificate because I'm not sure how the latter is even possible. If you're Nigerian born, I don't understand why you'd need to naturalize; did you parents not file the proper documents when you were born? Either way, I hope it works out for you. Why not just get an ECOWAS passport?
Nairaland / General / Re: Davidylan and Spikedcyliner! by Travelista(f): 7:37pm On Sep 02, 2010
Spiked, no you did not call that girl Fiona! Wrong, wrong, wrong! She looks like she's eating good (real good) but if he likes it, you should love it.

So, David likes his girls thicky-thick?

*looks at other thread*

Ah-hah. . .Spiked busted you WIDE open, son. grin Hi-lair-ee-us! Either way, I'm glad you've found someone to share your life with; it was painfully obvious you were searching HARD. Love is a lovely thing; enjoy it and her. Whether she looks like Fiona, Rose Red, a linebacker, Queen Sheba or Grape Ape, she's yours and that's all that matters.

^^^^ Chicago has a lot to do wit it. Your heart is very hard.

You are using the barometer of America for African issues.

We have culture. We have shame.

How many of our women in America are sleeping around, unless for necessity?

The Africa culture in Africa, demands people to where their humanity and have shame.

While the greed for the green in this United States will make people lose their humanity, it is rarely the same in Africa, until you copycated the people who are shameless. please go exchange your heart for what is more humane, instead of the basic quality you have displayed so far.

You're typing jazz and you know it. You're talking about African 'humanity' and 'shame'? The same 'humanity' and 'shame' that enlists child soldiers, embarks on unrepentant genocides and loots federal coffers? Just think about what you're saying. If you really think African women aren't sleeping around except for necessity, then you are terribly naive. The sex trade isn't an 'African issue'; it's a global one and there are millions of men and women that are legitimate victims of unscrupulous people. On the other hand, there are people that have lower moral standards that see turning tricks as any other job and are happy to ply their trade.

Where I am right now, I can name two women that are well-known restaurateurs that were sleeping with the same man; that same man was respected in his own right and lavished gifts on them (and other thirsty birds). The story only broke because the man recently died of HIV; now, tell me: what forced these married women to spread their legs for an outsider? Was it because their light was about to be disconnected? Or they needed money for medical treatment? No, they were loose and wanted the baubles they could have easily purchased themselves. Hookers come in many forms but that doesn't mean they are all victims. Visit a Nigerian university; I'm sure you'll find girls and boys that sleep around because they like the fast cash.

@4llerbintu and the travelista in Chicago: There is no single person who is born, wanting to do evil, eg Prostitution, if there are other choices and the society that they are personally living in and experiencing do make it seem okay, acceptable and no personal shame in it.

One of you is a woman; the traveler in Chicago is, between death and prostitution, even a morally upright person may consider prostitution.

What has been reported is that each of the women did not say that they consciously chose prostitution. It becomes a necessity for them.

For me, I pray that God Almighty extracates them from this, and gives each of them something better. Amin.

I have females in my family. I am a very jealous man. I would be heartbroken if any of my blood is in this condition. This is similar to the cases of Chinese brought in to USA and forced to work in "slavery" conditions. And there are evil people out there who will lie to anybody, especially woman in need.

Travelesta, I cope those horrible things that Chicago are known for hasnt clogged your Nigerianness. You seem to be loosing it. I dont think 4llerbintu for a man knows reality. Bintu is a woman's title man. it is a daughter unless you are gender bender, then it fits you. thats worse than straight out prostitution. And not all victims yell out, chicago woman.

What does Chicago have to do with any of this? I'm not hard of heart but I like to call a spade a spade. Not everyone that turns tricks does so because they have no other avenue. Do you know how many girls turn to sleeping with men/women for material gain and do so because they like the fast cash? Go visit your local university; you don't need to be in need of money to become a hooker. There are girls/boys selling their bodies when they don't need to; they have parents that easily and happily foot their bills. They sleep around and get paid for the thrill and because it's easy. As I said before, some hookers ARE victims but not all of them. You'd be surprised at how depraved mankind can be; imagine, I know girls from law school that were high-priced escorts. Do you think these women can be considered 'victims'?

I believe that a man should be able to support his girl but this girl is all sorts of extra with her demands. She's going to find herself 40 and alone if she doesn't stop with the 'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!' attitude. And isn't the same one saying she's becoming celibate until marriage? Good luck with that one, hun. She really has nothing to offer it seems, yet is demanding the world on a golden platter. How old is she?

Travelister you lack love and compassion for your fellow man.
Women that are corporate love-peddlers. Those are the real love-peddlers. Those that have and want more.
I am talking of the poor girls caught up in the viscous circle of poverty and despair.
These girls are only victims of a callous society.
I wish we had more love for our fellow men that would go a long way.

You need to explain the bold; I really hope you aren't headed in the direction that I think you are.

I have compassion for my fellow man, so get off your soap box. You make me really nervous. I swear, you flip-flop like a fish out of water. One minute you're wanting to practically burn hookers at the stake and the next you're their Mother Theresa. Really, what's good, Mutter? Not everyone is a victim; some just see hooking as easy money because they are too lazy to earn money any other way. Are some of these girls victims, yes. Are all of them? Not even close.

It will indeed be harder for many nigerians to be forgiven for what they did to the country than for a camel to pass the eye of a needle.
These girls bodies are being sold but some people out there are selling their souls.
A country where no one is guaranteed their fundamental human rights and needs.
Nothing surprises me any more.
I shed at seeing a sister being reduced to this state of decadence and hoplessness.

Travelista when a human becomes desperate he throws caution to the wind.
A woman that love-peddlers to survive is a victim. She deserves help and respect for what she has to endure.

Spare me. There are some women and men that turn tricks because they want to; not everyone is a 'victim'. I'm sure they aren't screaming 'Victim!' when they are paid for their services. Quite frankly, some people are just plain harlots; might as well get paid while you're at it.

I couldn't imagine not knowing what my fiance makes, talk less of a spouse (and vice versa). I don't understand this need to be secretive; when you rush to hide your pay, it would make me feel you're doing something you're not supposed to be doing. @Travelista: Its not so difficult to drop american citizenship at all. Many whites, showing their privileges do drop her as a country, for all sort of reasons; always because of disagreement with her momentary value directions.

There was a wealthy american who felt that he felt taxation is a bother, he renounced his citizenship by become ambassador at large, in USA, residing in Florida, for a south american country.

that does not mean you cant take it back, again. All you have to do is to go to the embassy of america in the country you are residing and declare that you are no more a citizen. Its that easy.

You're very right. No matter what he says or signs, the fact that he's born on US soil, he is American until death. They did nothing wrong and basically came after a citizen.
