be careful with your choices if your intention is to stay after finishing the Msc.

UK is a no go area.

Can you expantiate on the money in account for residency permit? I am hearing this for the first time.
You can apply for a one-year job seeker permit after completion of your studies, but must have over 200k ( can't remember exactly, but its definitely not less than) of their currency in your account over there. Law was passed last year.

cool I thought I have gone through the thread. Anything to show me? embarassed
Germany: Residency after completion, few jobs for skilled immigrants, good schools, free tuition in some parts.

Sweden: Residency after completion, jobs, good schools, expensive tuition.

Norway: Residency after completion (based on money in your account), good schools, free tuition, uncertain job availability (is based on course).

summary: no where is perfect, and because you studied there doesn't mean you'll start your career there. Have a two option plan. There are Nigerians who studied in Europe and ended up getting lucrative jobs in Asia. keep an open mind as you apply.

For those who may want to stay back, Norway just like switzerland does not give permanent residence after student visas unlike countries like Sweden and Germany.

Also the admission entry barrier is second class upper unlike other countries.
Read the thread from the beginning.

I think its possible to do that. The strike only affects Acedemics Staffs, and transcripts processing is handled by non-academic staffs.

Went to my school today, and was able to get my certificate. I also successfully applied for my transcripts, although to a local destination just so i can have a personal hardcopy of it because my school no longer issue transcripts by hand.

PS: why is this thread so dry now, are people no longer interested in Norway or it is because the admission process has not started?
its the later bro. This strike is something else sha. was planning on using my juniors to run the transcript thing. Hope they call it off soon, too busy to travel.

You're right about it only affecting academic staff though.

What it means is that 3rd mainland bridge was FG Project. Why cant the FG do same in these places blessed with oil wells instead of handing cash to chiefs.
Good question.

Speaking from experience, any company intending to exploit any natural resource pays and signs agreements at the federal, state, and community levels.
This picture is one of several that shows the stupidity of community leaders.
Visited one recently in another part of the country, very rich in resources, no tarred roads, dilapidated schools, a total shitty place.

imagine my shock on learning that the community leader gets paid 100mil by any company working there. The fool lavishes the thing on his concubines leaving his people to suffer.

We are not serious in this country.

One love bro! I don't get your "as long as you gave the cash, anything is possible" comment
as long as you have the money to send your transcript to several Norwegian schools, anything is possible.

@trilobite Any comment on this reply from Tromso University?
Meaning it must have been explained in your transcript. Your transcript should contain your CGP and an explanation of the scale used. in your case a 5.0 scale.

Elder Bandeco!!! You emphasize ooo. Am quite aware my GPA is low, my inquiry was based on my working experience. And it seems that factor wouldn't count
Its me again, one love brother. lol.

don't know about work experience, I know of someone who got admitted with a second class lower grade though.

He tried his luck in less competitive courses and God answered his prayers. There are a lot of courses often ignored by applicants, that schools go all out trying to fill the space.

As long as you gave the cash, anything is possible.

Lol! Its alright my comment cracked you up, though I wonder which part got you laughing hard. Kindly elaborate why I should forget about Norway (my school used the 5.0 scale). And I don't get "find out from your school or former mates"
so you know the answer to your question?. interesting.

2.0/5.0 is too poor for Norway.

good luck. Ain't responding again to you.
TravelRe: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by trilobite: 10:46am On Aug 09, 2017
My apologies if I was harsh on the last poster.

Majority of Nigerian universities use a 5.0 scale to calculate their CGP. Although I can now recall some schools use the american 4.0 system.

So which one did your school use. If its the former, forget about Norway. sorry bro.

find out from your school or former mates.

Thanks for cracking my ribs, never knew it was possible to laugh this hard.

Hey people! When i inquired from Tromso University about my chances of securing MSc admission with 2.0 GPA (and with over three years working experience) this reply followed "If it is out of a 5 scale, your CGPA is too low to be considered". Please can someone tell what this implies? I thought they work with a 6 scale and is there any formula I could use to check if my GPA is out of a 5 scale?

cc. Olujastro, Bandeco, Starflex & Co.

Thanks again for ur promt response...

The online transcript method doesn't give me any access to the transcripts, it only allows me to just put-in the name of the school I want to send it to, and they will just forward it to the school directly.

Also, since i am looking at applying to more than one school, its means i will be paying the transcripts fee times the numbers of schools i will be applying to since the online transcript portal allows only one school per request. Really want to know if there is a way around this?.
Thanks.
skarlett!! chop knuckle!!

Now about your transcript issue:

You can apply to have it sent to your office, or any organization you are close to, then you get it sealed before anyone opens it.
she's right about being able to afford the transcript fees for all the schools though. It will drain your pocket, but having several admission options is worth it.

ayxmania:
Bros, the whole thing started in 2008. That particular protest, Kay Bello was not there at all. The protest was led by Plato and Timi Olagunju. The ogas at the top are just being uneasy because of his relentless spirit. How come UI didn't expel him? They obviously didn't have any reason to do so. Although he could be radical in reasoning, he would never be violent physically. The Law School authorities have failed abeg.
"uneasy because of relentless spirit". hmm...

This case is based on one word " reputation".

put yourself in the shoes of the ogas in the law school:

you have been informed by your fellow colleagues that one of your new students has a bad reputation. This by fellow colleagues that you know and respect!!!

When said student now goes ahead to prove this statement via senseless acts of insubordination in your school, what will you do?

The young man was not wise. UI was his past, he should have worked on erasing whatever bad name he had by earning the respect of his colleagues and superiors in the law school.

A true freedom fighter is respect by the people he fights for and those he fights against.

this young man is not serious at all!!

His write-up is about his university, when the current issue is about his law school studies.

You were issued query, you were invited to defend yourself, why didn't you show up?

He is a fake Mandela. All freedom fighters follow due process, which is why both friend and foe respect them.

You're capturing the part you like. However, I wish you can understand the theme rather than a paragraph. Let me help, we had many break-ups only because I tried to have sex with her. Meanwhile she's already sexually active. That's the problem not the stillbirth
Your are pissed because your woman was sexually active away from you.

were you guys dating at the time? No.

were you sexually active yourself? Yes.

what is the problem?

Listen, I have witnessed a lot of retired olosho weddings and must say you are a lucky man.

For a woman to take the risk of loosing her dignity and open up like this she deserves credit.

Manipulation or not, this girl make sense. Marry her and what you will get is a lifetime of respect and honor because you have seen her unclothedness and stuck despite.

90% of guys who approach me first always ends up wanting something more than just friends... So do I date all of em? Of course not. . some of them have to be friend zoned.

they are free to leave whenever they like but they choose to stay and some become really good friends. My best friend is a guy who was previously interested in me as a lover . 7 years down the road we are still best friends and we have never got down together in a romantic way. My family even knows him

Being friend zoned ain't that bad.. Am sure my best friend would tell u that.. Lol
Be careful. its fun and exciting when young, but the lines get blurred really fast as you get older.

Been there done that.

1. Cut every form of contact. Social media and all. Delete her number

2. Get very busy with work and set work/career goals to achieve.

3. Go on a punna chase and score as many as you can. Some people will advise against this but tell you what, this is the most effective of all the steps.

4. Stop stalking her on social media. Get a life!

5. Do more fun stuff. Like learn a hobby (learn a new dance, learn to swim, pick up an interest in foreign languages; preferably French)

6. Go on a holiday.

7. Avoid romantic music and stop visiting places you both used to go together.
agree with all except No 3.

Just get one or two women who know their place and straff..
Believe me, there are a lot of women who will not care which style you want if you spend half of what you did on your ex.

many will be a distraction, get one or two, explain you're not looking for a relationship (they won't mind provided you spend) then focus on your career.

God will give you some one better. amen.

Undergraduate studies are mostly taught in Norwegian. Only way in is to register for a Norwegian course and pass the exam before he is considered for undergraduate study.

problem: you have to be a resident to apply for said language course.

Had a lot of time lately so here goes for everyone:

1. NTNU says: "A bachelor degree where the language of instruction is English from the following countries: Botswana, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Jamaica, Gambia, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Swaziland, South Africa, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe".

2. UiT and UiS make use of the GSU list so go to http://www.nokut.no/en/Facts-and-statistics/Surveys-and-databases/GSU-list/ and search for nigeria. we're marked "nei' (no), same with other english speaking countries like U.S.A.

The lady was right about oslo though, they changed their english requirement to 'Yes" for nigeria.

anyone here who has gotten in touch with the schools personally on this issue can please shed more light.
