Biaso: Let's not get ahead of ourselves.. Because you chose to believe the story doesn't mean it's entirely true.. I really don't like to put everything out here for reasons best known to me.. I'll make this as brief as I can. Let's just say I know a lady, we all grew up together, we are what you'll call family friends. Last week, my own immediate elder sister called me and told me about how the lady I mentioned earlier was keen on buying a slot in DPR for one of her younger brothers, someone I also know. She said the slot was available for 4m, she also talked about FIRS, etc. CBN was going for about 5m or so.
However, NNPC wasn't even in the mix, there was nothing form NNPC, no slots for sale at least. Anyone telling you that he or she got in through the backdoor at NNPC, at this moment is probably pulling your legs. However, you can choose to believe whatever suits you. Cheers! I never said what the person said was true. I didn't even mention anything about the truthfulness of the post. Just like any other government recruitment, NNPC was available!!! The issue for many was accountability. The organization is so secretive unlike other bodies you don't really know who is who. Some bodies have a clear command structure or pattern, which makes accountability possible. NNPC own is just crazy!! See how the protests from contract staff for instance scattered everywhere like world war. Tell me which junior officer in some other body in the midst of recruitment can wake up one morning and start talking rubbish?!!! I know some who tried and got shutdown with one phone call!!! God help Nigeria. |

[q1uote author=Aremolomi post=85870910] The claim is true. DT collected the APL for her. It's not funny!! She shouldn't have told him in the first place. He is the reason why people use "na God do am" to answer questions on their success. I advice other backdoor recruits here to do the same. I can't wait to hear the actual story of this recruitment. that of the paramilitaries is beyond hilarious!!!! "Na God do am" indeed!!! God help our country. I knew there was going to be a little merit in this recruitment!! Probably because it's the oil industry!! Any other sector and I can guarantee there's no hope. I am looking at these customs, prisons applicants with pity.
I'd advice anyone to still apply again in the future. Because in Nigeria, provided the recruitment is in the oil sector, and it was advertised, there's definitely going to be merit, no matter how few.
Any other recruitment, don't bother if you don't have anyone on standby.
No matter what happens, hustle and grind hard, so that your kids do not face this madness. |

Politics › Re: Can Bakassi Peninsula Be Retrieved From Cameroon? by trilobite: 2:53pm On Jan 12, 2020 |
giftedben: Bakassi Peninsula was sold by General Yakubu Gowon to Cameroon in 1968. Yes, Yakubu Gowon in August 1968, had been requested by Ahmadu Ahidjo, the then President of Cameroon to sell part of Nigeria, especially the Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon as the condition for supporting Nigeria to win the civil war against Biafra. Recall that before then, Bakassi was used as the outlet to the Atlantic to bring in food to the Easterners. The then Finance Minister, the very Obafemi Awolowo had asked Gowon: how long do you continue to feed your enemies?
Rattled by the question, Gowon, Murtala Mohammed, Olusegun Obasanjo, Martin Adamu, Theophilus Danjuma, Hassan Katsina with the tacit approval of Sultan Mohammed II and Ado Bayero, the Emir of Kano swung into action. Gowon wanting to score a point did not even discuss this with the then Supreme Military Counsel, though they quietly approved of it.
He contacted Alhamadu Ahidjo, and the Meeting was scheduled in Marua Town of Southern Cameroon in August 1968, that day Gowon, using stone, standing on Cameroon side “threw a stone” saying that wherever the stone landed should be given to Cameroun, west ward to the Peninsula. The stone landed at the very point of entry of the Peninsula called Reo Del Ree.
Hence, General Yakubu Gowon, on the advice of Obafemi Awolowo, used a stone to sell Bakassi Peninsula to Cameroon. Others is history. Very interesting!! Thanks. |

Due to people like you who blab without facts. The Syrian rebellion was orchestrated by America to thwart a Russian boil pipeline that was to pass through Syria. That was the reason 3y wanted Assad out. Following the rebellion the United States armed a number of groups who they tagged as moderate rebels to fight the Syrian government. These groups were nothing more than affiliates of ISIS and other fanatical groups but this was of no concern to the US so long as their goals were realised. It was only until Russia and Iran stepped in that the tide against ISIS was achieved. Till date the US still supports a number of so called moderates against the Syrian government leading to continued instability in Syria which suits them fine as it prevents the building of said pipeline. Please read and listen to non western media and be well informed rather than espouse western propaganda. I state that the greatest current cause of instability in the middle East is the United States in quest for total global hegemony.
Syria. Orchestrated by U. S. Kids and their hatred for Christianity. This is another beer parlour and news paper stand false news propagator
Syria had always had silent ethnocentric divisions since the 50s that saw the current president's father seize power and handle. It by a fiat transferring the problem and the silent wars from one generation to the next

chronique: You just talk like someone that doesn't have sense. You don't have adequate info on what went down in Syria but you are quick to call Russia a hypocrite nation. I bet you were not alive when Obama was giving arms and ammunition to a group of rebels who America described as moderate rebels, to fight the Syrian government. Those same rebels turned over those arms to Isis and were using it to destabilize Syria. It wasn't until Russia and Iran came into the picture and joined forces with the Syrian government before they could quell the attacks from those rebels and Isis. Romance › Re: My Wife Is Emasculating Me by trilobite: 2:58pm On Jan 01, 2020 |
Majority of Nigerian women are not raised to be submissive to their husbands. No parent raises his child to be dominated by another human being.
What happens is they are raised to strive by themselves, then once getting to the age of marriage assume a submissive mentality to get a husband. This mentality didn't exist in the first place.
What I advice men during relationships is to pause on the need to dominate their partners into submission and allow her breathe. Let her show you everything she was was raised with, not what you or society want her to show you.
I have seen successful wives stand by their less successful husbands, and all say (when I ask why) is because that was how they were before they had any need to have a husband. They were raised to care and support the people they love.
This is your wife's true nature, only thing you can do is to double your hustle and bounce back financially to get her to reset her mind. Goodluck, you need it. |

Women cheating just before they get married is the norm these days. Back then in the university it was completely normal for girls to come back for goodbye sex days, weeks to their wedding.
Among girls (I'd dare say over 90%) who did it in my set, only one got caught. She's divorced now. Her offence was doing it in her future husband's base.
I remember beating my chest that a good friend of mine was the exception to the madness, only to find out she too was getting the D durring her final year while engaged.
I have long given up on najia women, just date with an open mind. If she wants to be stupid, let her be. Don't kill yourself. |

hafeezsemzy: By who and how? Everything in life is competitive even the spermatozoa that forms everyone of us was competitive.
There is no difference between the EH competition and the GT competition except that they are experienced.
For 2 EH position we can have 50 or less competition because of the stiff requirements.
But for a single GT position you can have 1000 competition because GT is open source When I say "competitive", I am not talking about the competition you can see. EH recruitment politics in the civil service is normally on a totally different scale compared to GT. Unlike GTs (most of whom depend on outsiders), EH applicants are usually personally involved. |

Sirvingeo: Young man Nigerian government don't care about how sensitive a particular position is. Our government are selfish and mediocre. Is CBN and FIRS not a sensitive organisation. When last did they employ ? Lets not deceive ourselves . It is only God that can employ a nobody in a lucrative government organisation like the ones I enunciated. If not God my dear they are ready to share the whole slot within themselves. Have you ever ask yourself how many government organisation is productive ? They will never be productive because most people get there through the back door. You are right, but as someone who as been to the other side and back , this one is looking like it will spring a few surprises. It's why among all the recruitments, I have been entertained by this the most. The others (other bodies) were just too hopeless!!! You'd want to cry for the poor clueless applicants. |

They don't have a choice really!! The reason they made it public is to get a motivated workforce. Many civil service bodies are complaining of the laziness of the highly connected new recruits.
You can't discipline or fire them, because they all know somebody. I believe the NNPC might be facing the same issue (evidenced by the baseless contract staff imbroglio). And another factor is their international standing, they cannot afford to backslide and be left behind by currently lowly ranked NOCs.
You guys should chill, by January it will be over.
Just pray to be among the selected merit applicants, and leave the backdoor struggles to others. |
