I hope this this is not a gang up against efficiency. knowing the work ethics of the average public servant, one must be cautious in blaming the CMD. |
APC new Poster Gov for Change. we are with you in prayers. sir, don't forget the masses. |
ChrisOD:His position is recognized as Primus Inter Pares. He is the De jure leader of Govt Business and de facto prime minister of legislative mobilization. |
Imokay:I am a practicing Catholic. Marriage is honourable among men and the bed should be undefiled. for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. the real issue is fighting for normation of clearly hazardous sexual practices. it is insensitive, callous on the account of children 'experimemtism'. I do not oppose your choice on religious or cultural grounds but I just cringe at the implication of your choice on those who may accept it as an index of intimacy matrix to the detriment of their well being. sexuality is in any connection a slippery slope. why make it disastrously steeper through "liberalization"? are we so sexually consumed that we are prepared to accept the consequences of our action as "whaRever"! Whatever that means! |
Change2015:Being sexually challenged is not "Who you are" it is a biological/psychological accident which created emotional contradictions in you. Nature abhors vacuum. "who you are" must be completed with "what you need" "strictly" to be "Who you are" . in the event that nature fails to provide you with "What you need" to be "who you claim to be" your claim to some "visible" extent is at "variance" with the "order of nature". As a human being you have the capacity to "conquer" nature in the areas where it left you a little "shortchanged". You find ways to fill the "Vacuum" of nature. When the "normal" is not desirable then the "abnormal" becomes a "natural" necessity. Because we are talking about modifying nature here the process comes with inevitable consequences. The majority are too self-preserving to collapse under the yoke of sexual right blackmail. |
Change2015:'Drunken' 'beer parlour' in a 15 word sentence as a response to a point of view containing no vulgarity. It is futile to expect dignity of intellect from a people who are irredeemably stuck on literal filth - no pun intended. it is your preroragative and the justice of your crime is also a societal prerogative. Happily the law does not proscribe homosexuality, so you can do it only on the pain of imprisonment QED. |
ROSSIKE:Everything that involves intrinsically perverse facets in Africa is unAfrican. By perverse I mean (1) not widespread (2) dirty. (homo) philia is natural but (homo) sex has no anatomical basis. as it is unnatural to walk on my hands, it is also unnatural to subject non-genital organ to sexual use. The question is what happens if we do what is anatomically unnatural? When it is about sex the consequence is multidimensional, sexual meltdown as we have in Western countries. This places a greater burden on health and social fabrique. can poor African countries permit this as a sacrifice for homosexual minorities. the answer is no. will Africa evolve? not likely! heterosexuality supports gender separation. when you mix things up the current system will collapse and it will be bad for all. |
Literally being on your toes at the instance of a man that suffers no fool gladly |
tpiadotcom:valid question. She (presumably) needs God first. Mimiae, don't be led astray. volunteer for good social causes even without money, you will find fulfillment very soon. |
efilefun:And what is 1986 in Nigerian politics? Senior? if it is by the year of birth only 1950s above can debate, 1960s can discuss, 1970s can question, 1980s...? I guess cheer. if you look at nairaland we have more cheerleaders. Your composure in the proceedings determines where you belong! |
In the fullness of time! May God grant FG the fullest speed |
Just a publicity stunt. the guy is sitting on a frame inside his jeans and attached to the box. check out the logo on the box and the guy's shirt. |
Omenka, this post has simplified the confusion of Hero-worshipers. Unfortunately, no amount of economic terrorism can shock the conscience of a prejudiced people. Thank God, we have Change through democratic revolution. |
A revealing letter. I hope GEJ has realized how fatally wrong he was for using less than 40% of duly vested power. that philosophy could work in a country with draconian decrees. However in democratic societies where powers are granted through rigorous debates and public hearings, using 39% can only breed all manners of corruption and terrorism. |
aguiyi:@"crowed" it will surely reflect in the fullness of time |
May God grant him eternal repose. May God make this great sacrifice worthwhile as we seek to keep peace. |
The first car I know, Hillman minx (right hand)1960s/70s. I won't demand respect but patriotic objectivity so that we all can learn through civilized debate.
|
This and many more are the whys and wherefores of a United Nigeria. Let An Alhaji provide finance and let Ajayi &Co do the documentation! |
Verdict:- We thank the Rt Hon Speaker for this personal Token of Faith. Having said that, we urge him to now take up the institutional responsibility of providing SUSTAINABLE means of livelihood for poor Lagosians. This is the ONLY Work that gives credibility to his Token of Faith. |
This is pretty sobering! May God help us to lead our kids to the path of honour and greatness. |
Lovesdaisied:Good job. I hope the hungering are satisfied by your statistics. |
Lovesdaisied:I have been reading this thread and I am quite amused how young Nigerians debate issues of poverty with glory. Your equation 1.5 = 1 is the most fascinating. The question is are you guys quite convinced about your assertions or it is all about who blinks first. Next time when you want others to give you benefit of the doubt avoid arguing with figures. You will see that your argument will move people and at the end we can all unwind over a cup of cold cherry. cheers |
Those who ramify every twist in the polity with Tinubu will be shocked when realize that the Gentleman is just a philantropist of established social movements. once there is a groundswell in any direction Tinubu knows where to dump his money. |
PMB: What do you think is on Wike's mind?
NER: Whallahi, Baba, Rotimi alone can answer that questio. |
cktheluckyman:In 2000, the US vote came down to a precint in Florida called Palm Beach. Why? palm beach was a swing state and the weak link for electoral college votes. Although PMB lost Ekiti, but his 40% in the state added to his 2/3 column. In any event, the joy is always in the strength of your weak link not where your raw power lies. If you have no weak link, then you are always good to go. PDP had no prior weak link until the emergence of APC that turned the West to swing states. As for Sen. Tinubu, he was a fighter, he is a fighter and if need be he will remain a fighter without any sense of regret over beyrayals. NADECO is his middle name. I take exception to some of the activities of his party but the fact that PDP detest him singularly makes him a force to contend with. if you doubt this, form a political party and see how many headlines that will make. |
ChaleeBendel:let the end justify the means - no bloodshed. |
idu1:Don't worry, this is the moment for internal realignment that PMB strategically stimulated whilst using the phrase, I am for everybody. Now PMB has seen those that are opposed to unity of the Change purpose. Govt will proceed without PMB owing these individuals anything but the stark application of justice. |
Obiagelli:They saw it even before you. However, no amount of economic terrorism committed by GEJites can shock their good conscience. Some of them erroneously believe that PMB was just out to deny a minority the right to rule for eight years. kudos on your objectivity in spite of the odds. |
IsraeliAIRFORCE:The reason given was crash in oil price and burden of subsidy on national budget. nowhere was refinery mentioned as the reason. NOWHERE AT ALL! In fact 2016 was the target date. this date has always been shifting since GEJ settled down. his time was the longest period in history when all refineries were down and oil barons were smiling to the bank. in fact GEJ time occupied 100% of the total time all refineries will breakdown since we have them 30 years ago. no country in the world with far older refineries has ever achieved this decadent feat! |
Whynotthetruth:1) It is also paradoxical that the 'fantasists' for GEJ are the realitist against PMB. 2) It also puzzling that it took 2012 'subsidy saga' to make GEJ lose sizeable admirers but it took winning election after failing 3 times to make PMB lose his right presumption of innocence. His enemies were waiting for him from day zero. 3). it is amusing that those who believe Jonathan needed more time after five years could not give PMB five hours in office without one slander or the other. 4) We had 'fantansies' of fresh air also but we became realists after GEJ became overwhelmed and the country headed south (free fall). 5) What is wrong with fantasy of Change, why is it religiously impossible for you to allow a policy to thrive for six months before you come out. 6) Go to any intellectual debate where issues affecting economy are discussed you will never see any objective person argue against 'NOTHING' I mean what exactly is the real issue in your debate. NOTHING. your anger is about time and seemingly lack of policy direction. 7) unfortunately, this is subjective because you have no examples to show the practicality of your viewpoint in the Nigerian context. Without cabinet in 3 weeks, we have made progress accountability wise. I know this as a prosecutor.9) What did you say about GEJ in 2011 when he hadn't form cabinet in 3weeks. (research the fact.) 10) as a serious minded person, check the word 'disingenuous'. You know there are better things to debate about PMB/APC than all these kindergarten pokes. See Soludo's article. Govt is currently trying to address the concerns raised by the eminent Prof. 11) As for the fatal obtacles. it is on need to know basis. sorry about that. but I guess you have always been content to judge by attitude in the case of PMB. the self confessed attitude that spawned insurgency, kidnapping, unemployment under GEJ was never questioned though. 12) By their fruits you shall know them. wait until the appointed time of fruition. 13) you have accused PMB. let him open his defence and proceed before you jump up for incessant objections. it makes an attorney look real bad and prejudiced. 14) if you don't consider yourself as trained in art of prosecution, then you are permitted to bring the court down before hearing. how fair is that? never mind. |
Whynotthetruth:You ought to find it paradoxical that we have similar monikers relating to truth. but when we address the same issues in politics, we are poles apart. PMB promised to hit the ground running, but late submission of hand over note made it impossible. Be calm, the state ship is operating in a stealth mode for now and vital agencies of govt are roaring to life: Defence, Police, EFCC, Accountant General, EFCC, refineries, etc. The policies are being retooled to reflect the facts and figures given by GEJ admin. once the MDAs get their briefs through their ministers, many corrupt desks will be cleared for fresh ideas to have breathing space. let this be enough for now, fellow Nigerian. |
We cannot begrudge ur expectation in a nation plagued by crushing poverty. However, take nothing for granted. the 12million people who voted against PMB did so in spite of the very calamities you are expecting PMB to address. He is now the President of foes and friends alike. He must be careful. it was not a revolution that brought him in but democratic evolution. the millions who voted against him are praying daily for him to fail so they can be vindicated. some of these people will clog the wheel of progress once you are gaining momentum so as to deraill you on speed. At this moment Mr President is neutralizing the FATAL obtacles to a successful takeoff. Very soon we will all have access to the opportunities of a new commonwealth. |
