PoliticsRe: Islamists To Yar’adua: We Want Total Islam - PM News by tunene: 3:54pm On Jul 29, 2009
Its time to divide this country in any amount of pieces that can be formed just like the soviet union because YOUR A DUA will certainly not do anything about this. The crises in the north is not based on poverty or anything it will be senseless to say so. If we are poor, is the solution to kill ourselves. it is better for this people to kill themselves since they can't survive or go after the government officials who have failed to provide them with infrastructure. The NORTH has always being a war zone, its either they are killing Igbo today, Yoruba tomorrow or total christians; the terrible thing is that the government will do nothing. JUST LISTEN TO NEWS TONIGHT WHAT YOU WILL HEAR IS SOUTH-SOUTH MILITANCY, north - you will hear nothing. It is only things that is economic to the government that they address any other thing it doesn't concern them since it doesn't bring money to their pocket. The best is for Nigeria to divide

North - Nothing
South East - eating
South West - wasting
South-South - chopping

If other non shariaed states decide they want their own, they can go.

ppls.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Pipeline Engineering Jobs by tunene: 12:15pm On Jul 28, 2009
monogees:
Look i know how hard it is coming from back home to school in the UK, loads of questions and uncertainties, but one thing is that if you get into school the suffering is just for 12 months, you aint gonna die in 12 months.
Concerning the course itself, alot of the lecturers (in all about 15) only 4-5 are actually university staffs, the rest are people working in the industry hence you get to learn about the latest happenings or changes in the industry. Field trips were organised during my time there to places like Advantica and PII (couldnt make any of the trips cos ur bros was working to pay school fees).
Some asked about the level of difficulty, everything in life could be easy or could be hard depending on the amount of interest you have. Personally, pipeline engineering is a great course and anyone with half an interest would enjoy it greatly.
Am placing some links here for information purposes only for those who want to know more about the course and the school.

Pipe Enge main page:
http://www.ncl.ac.uk/pipe.eng/

Penspen integrity page: This page has alot of information for those who can download and read, it would be good because it would give you some background information of what pipe eng is all about.

http://www.penspenintegrity.com/

For those who have questions of a personal nature and dont want to post you can either email me or email any of the people below:

me:
gomonoji@technip.com

Dr Julia Race: She is the program director for the pipeline engineering center.
j.m.race@ncl.ac.uk

Also you can contact fellow Nigerians who are schooling there right now and am sure alot of them would be willing to help.

Thanks for this, but can you intimate us how possible it is to work and study in the UK fulltime studies I mean, and does the school allow you to pay your fees in installments. also what kind of jobs do you do, pls help us with info. cheers man.

RomanceRe: Could U Date Or Marry A Girl Practically Of D Same Age With U Or Older.? by tunene: 4:01pm On Jul 27, 2009
hmm. I seem to have the same problem. In my own case, the girl is even older by about 1yr, 8 months, I really love her and I don't mind the age difference but my problem with her is this marriage obsession, while i am planning to go for my masters, all that she, her pastors and even my pastors are asking is marriage, when, when, when. I must confess I have a good paying job but I am not just ready.

CareerRe: IT Professionals' Salary In Nigeria? by tunene:
You guys amuse me, you seem not to understand what is happening in Nigeria. One thing is sure, there is a wide gap between the rich and the poor in Nigeria. As for the salaries so far quoted I don't think there exist any exaggerations. Imagine in Nigeria Oil Industry, some entry level graduate earn between 7-10 million Naira per annum. My friends I am not exaggerating, I am in one of the companies and I know what our competitors pay. So I know what I am saying. cheers.
EducationRe: Secrets Of First Class Students? by tunene:
the five points given by ife-eco are almost very true and all you need. I fall in this class of people and I must tell you he nearly said it all especially the issue of the calculator.
One important fact though is they are other students that have this trait that might not make a first class, probably due to situations beyond their control, departmental lecturers, mistakes in the first year and several others, but such students end up with very strong 2-1; such as 4.4, 4.35, 4.47, 4.3 e.t.c. Now tell me, if some courses had been in their favour, if they wouldn't have made a first; afterall 4.5 is first class.

dear shellites,

na wa o, its unbelievable that you guys just threw away this forum just like that. I was thinking that peolpe preparing for their resumptionshould share with us how it has been.

well for its been work, work and work, you wont even believe that I am yet to resign now. anyway by April 1 I must be in Edjeba whether or whethern't.

I was contenplating how the resumption was going to be especially for us coming from Lagos, so I mailed Ifidon, I must confessed that was the fastest reply I have ever recieved after sending an official mail.

His reply, we said there are people waiting for us on April 1, and not earlier, and they will be there till late in the night. I think that clears the issue of whether to resume two days before or seven days before or two days after.

FOR BEHOLD I HAVE TOLD YOU HE WHO HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR.

SEE YOU IN EDJEBA.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria - The Next Generation by tunene: 6:51pm On Mar 03, 2008
i still don't understand why u guys are bothering about NLNg posts. we can not get there, believe me we can not. the reasons are plenty and i have some of them.

the number of people invited for shell test were less than those invited for NLNG

shell had few stages, after the the test we had only about 300 people left to go for the interview, while more than 50,000 made to the second stage of NLNG

the post for NLNG stated earlier, therefore s many people were involved, the people that were involved in that of shell are not even up to 300 from SITP and the may 200 for HR and finance put together.

as at when the tread started most people had been given bad news and were no longer interested in anything shell.

NLNG was still posting people, and people still believed there could make it so they were always in the tread to get info and contribute.

there were a lot of hocuspocus on NLNG tread, especially at the middle of the tread. in shell we were focused.

I alone know a lot of people that believe the NLNG recruitment process was flawed, i mean a lot of malpractices, so everybody would want to complain. unlike in shell.

u can imagine receiving a posted letter probably from DHL or PANALPINA STATING that you were not successful, isn't that a subject of discussion.

these are some reasons that i can adduce to that but i believe there are other reasons.

may the good Lord be with us all. those going to Edjeba, those waiting and those that will soon be in Mobil, Chevron, Addax, Panoceans, Schlumberger, Haliborton, Saipem, e.t.c > i wish you all well.

CHEERS

EducationRe: Post UME Has Been Cancelled In Nigerian Universities by tunene: 6:36pm On Jan 30, 2008
if post-UME is cancelled, good for all Nigerians, my brother score 234, 11/13 in English, 13/20 in maths, for unilorin admissions. he was denied even though we were told that the cut-off for the post-UME was 5 and 6 respectively. we heard later the university only admitted enough students from Kwara and Kogi. what manner of federal university is that. I think that is the first Kwara state university while they are thinking of creating the second one this year.

NO MORE POST JAMB!!!!!! huh huh

robbie lex, nobody in my group has been contacted so far to the best of my knowledge. these people contacted from your group, how many days was it after your interview, and is that to say that the remaining people are successful. also which people have been called for medicals, please clarify this.

as for u 2good, if you have been given the bad message that they are sorry they cannot continue with you, too bad, but if no mail as been sent to you, feel calm, you will still be called, i think the interview will run till mid-december or end of nevember, so still be hopeful. cheers.
