Don't know much about the US citizenship processes. I heard once Nurses pass the NCLEX exam, they will be issued green card with their family.

What law permits this? This isn’t Nigeria, there are explicit legal processes by which you obtain a green card, regardless of your degree or occupation.

Point to consider... They're willing to do everything and anything to get me across the wife is a retired social worker and the husband works as a gm in a restaurant.

I applied for a visiting visa alongside my family in December 2022. Got appointment date for January 6, 2023. VISA APPROVED with no document requested. Grace followed me sha. I’m on a student visa in the Uk. Though I’ve finished studying but my BRP is still valid. For another 2months.

Go to the US site. Apply and include a genuine purpose for travelling. Get a date for appointment and get in touch. I might help

You had a valid UK residence permit, you were a shoo-in for a visiting visa. It's like a British passport holder getting to enter the US without a visa and saying grace was the reason.

It was never going to happen. Trump talked a lot but never made an attempt to coalesce support in the house and senate. No one took him seriously. If at all immigration laws change, we are likely to have something close to the "gang of 8" bill of 2013. That bill would have given any foreigner who obtains a Ph.D. in the US an automatic green card. Sadly it failed in the house at the last minute.

The folks you quoted might be correct since the H1B visa is very competitive and also a lottery. In there, H1B is listed as an option, but very unrealistic. So, the majority get a green card immediately they enter for employment.

If you review step 7 in your link, it lists the process, exactly as I laid it out.

If you gain employment in the US to work as an RN, you have two general options:

a. Get a temporary visa and move to the US to work while your application for a green card (I-140/I-485) is being processed. If you're Canadian or Mexican, you can work with a TN. All other nurses will need to obtain an H1B.

b. Have your prospective employer file an I-140 application right away. While this is in progress, you cannot travel to or work in the US. Once this is approved, you then file for a green card through consular processing. This process can take 2 or more years. Why would an employer wait that long when they can bring you here faster on a temp visa (option a) while you're waiting for the green card process to run its course?

Yes the H1B lottery is highly competitive but is not impossible. Being an RN does not change the process... you are just like everyone else. No special exemptions.

The latter is a US government memo on how it adjudicates H1B visas for nursing occupations. Obviously the US government has seen nurses on H1B. This is what deters folks like me from posting here as often, running into garrulous malcontents who have nothing to offer beyond disgraceful abuse and objecting to everything you say, without offering anything intelligent.

That doesn't make sense. They still have to go through the process. They will need a form of work authorization before they get green cards, which could be in the form of an H1B, TN visa (applicable to Canadians only), etc. They then have to get an employee-sponsored I-140 immigrant petition sponsored before they can apply for an adjustment of status. What part of this is wrong?

Depends on age. You can enlist up until 35 and you must be commissioned by the age of 31. It's not difficult to enlist (almost every city has a recruitment office you simply walk into), it's harder to get into a military school if you want to be a commissioned officer. But not impossible.

There are a lot of benefits to joining the army. You can retire fully after 20 years of service and you are entitled to a pension and healthcare the rest of your life. The GI bill allows you to go to college for free. Many home mortgage lenders reserve special offers for active military or veterans... you are basically a god here.

There was a program that allowed foreigners to join as long as they had certain skillsets e.g. specific second languages. You were guaranteed a green card if you were picked... The program has long since closed.

It's quite easy through nursing... As a foreign nurse, once you're employed in the states, you'll be given permanent residency(green card) once you get there..
And to be honest, nursing and other medical courses are the best bet...
I see you emphasize most on physical science and engineering courses, but these has limitations on their own side...

This is not true. The path to permanent residency is relatively the same across the board. Your employer would first have to keep you on an H1B/or some sort of job visa, get a permanent labor certification for you from DOL and then apply for adjustment of status through the EB1, EB2 or EB3 routes, whichever is applicable to you.

They didn't specifically point to one thing. They sent the generic mail they send if a result is cancelled. We have told them to provide evidence but I think it was because he had 6.5 the first time and had 8 the second time (he wrote the 2nd exam less than a month after the first thus was because of his passport expiring at the time) prolly they think its impossible to have that leap less than a month.

They did point to a specific point - reasonable evidence of fraud and this is not a generic mail at all. It is highly unlikely that they will make this claim without going through a painstaking investigation. It is incredibly hard to go from a 6.5 to an 8 within a couple of weeks on a language test.

But someone said i shouldn't have written on my ds160 that my sponsor lives in the US and advised i put her nigerian address which i feel will be misrepresentation. I even declared that i dont have an immediate family memeber in the us but i have other relative in the us (obviously my sponsor). My question is -Should i get another sponsor here in nigeria and request for a new i120 (will be pretty hard tho) or should i just go ahead with what I've submitted?
Also, i used the sane passport photograph for this new application but i plan on going with a a new one. Will it be okay?

Like others have said, what is the cost of your MBA? If your MBA costs $40,000/year (theoretically), it is not feasible that your aunt will be financially capable of sponsoring you despite having an $80,000 bank balance. She has a family to support and will not be in a position to put all her funds into just your tuition.

I honestly feel this post is here simply to let people know you’ve made it into Canada and your child has a Canadian passport. Other than that, I cannot understand why you haven’t simply called Egypt air to ask what Covid rules you need to worry about or at least checked on their website?
