Somehow I try to discourage relying on others for POF. Anyone moving to Canada without having a support system will need the funds or even more than the requested amount. If you are getting help with POF also ensure that you are able to raise your own funds before travelling because arriving without money is the beginning of some people's struggle. And I'll explain why.
One reason people struggle with hardship in many developed countries is due to their inability to access credit. Ability to access credit makes it easier to buy a house, a car, pay for tuition, rent a house and raise money for many other things. The credit report/score is more valuable than account balance in many instances. People arriving without money likely to default on some of their financial obligations which gets recorded on their credit report. Once a credit score drops, it usually takes a long time to get it back up. Even when credits are extended to an individual the interest rates are lower for individuals with higher credit scores.

One thing i learned the hard way is, western countries work excellently in your favor if you are disciplined with money.

There is never free education or healthcare anywhere. Societies pay taxes to socialize costs. Too many Nigerians want to waltz in and take advantage of a system they did not provide for.

On the other hand, I viewed you as conflicted. You aren’t sold on leaving for Canada when you can see opportunities in Nigeria. Everyone’s story is not Canada, yours may be in an AU country someday. You sound thoughtful and willing to look at both sides. You are doing due diligence to count the costs before jumping the gun. Take your time, pray about it, discuss with your spouse. It may be where you are is ok. Don’t kill your self over a dream that clearly isn’t yours. At the end of the day, you are answerable to your own family, not your uncle.

Perhaps I wish I had left when I was much younger. I would have had more opportunities open. That said, I am more than satisfied with where God has placed me. Absolutely no regrets.

Is unfair for him to do this but the truth remains that you hardly see a man who don’t cheat but that doesn’t mean they don’t love their wife , men are wired that way. I will advise you to trade with caution and stop listening to anyone with information that will destroy your marriage. Make sure you be with your husband as soon as you are done with youth service. If possible don’t discuss anything like you are cheating on me etc it will create impressions for him to start suspecting you. 2. The only person actively destroying her marriage is her husband.

I understand how you feel about your visa refusal and I can totally relate. It may be easy to judge from the whole transcript you wrote here and the I-20 you presented, however, I believe there is much more to it than that. Factors like how confident you were when answering their questions, maintaining eye contact, giving the right information based on what you filled in your DS-160, and much more. Another thing is, did you get a chance to attend mock sessions or ask the intellectuals here to test your level of preparedness before setting out for the interview? Did you practice your response with people and genuinely ask for their input on your performance? Also, did you get help with filling out your application form correctly? These are just a few things I can point out, and I hope you get your approval on your next try.

Yeah, that personal statement is poor. You say zero about the program, what particular disciplines interest you and why. Nothing about your background and how this prepares you for your course. Rather seems that this us just an opportunity for you to get out of your country.

Too many people make confident statements without having a clue what they are talking about. A ~$15k monthly gross pay is about ~$180k per annum. It isn't bloated and is typical for folks in the tech industry, depending on which company they work for. Police officers in NYC can earn more than that.

At best, we can only speculate as to why the VO denied his application... we cannot "maintain" anything, nor is it incontestable, as we were not there.
