bamiDee1: Quick help on this scenario please
I-20 letter came with the below: Personal funds: 24k GA: 10k Family funds: 5k
What I submitted to school: SOA, Uncle: 25k Personal: Approx 3m, eqv 6k
For DS-160 form filling, should I write the school to change family funds to be 24k while personal, 5k?
Or please how do I best complete this part on my DS-160 form?
Thanks in anticipation... You might want to explain why your uncle will essentially set aside what amounts to his entire bank account to fund just one year of school for you. |

Gamesmart: Who said there were not always Jews on that land? But you told us they were imported from Europe no? Gamesmart: Who are you trying to spew Israeli propaganda nonsense too? There you go again, claiming that easily verifiable history is merely Jewish propaganda. Gamesmart: "Always Jews on the land" equates to "Jews owned the land"? What crap phrase are you hiding not answering the questions behind? So explain to me why those cities like Hebron, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Galilee are all Jewish names... but not arab names, even though arabs allegedly owned the land. Gamesmart: So the land the Jews are on today and building settlements on were owned by Jews pre-1948? The answer is yes... you should read your history books rather than listening to Hamas. Gamesmart: Answer all those questions! I already did, in my post you quoted. Note that none of your responses provided any proof whatsoever that my assertions were wrong... other than the typical Islamist belligerence. Gamesmart: Then "familiarize" me with the Balfour Declaration! I thought you knew the history of the land... find out for yourself. |

Onlyonebuhari: Even Wikipedia don't dish out this thrash. Hitler cleansed them and British relocate Israelis on Arab land and since then they have been killing Palestinians including Muslims and Christians but idiot like you don't even know the percentage of Christianity in Isreal is 2% 1. You don't really care about Christians... you have simply inserted them here as a red herring... a way to pretend that this conflict is anything more than Islamic intolerance to the Jewish people right from the days of Mohammed. 2. Britain did not "relocate" Israelis on "arab land". It is funny that what you call "arab land" has so many historical Jewish cities that do not have arabic names - Judea, Samaria, Hebron, Galilee, Jerusalem... which one of those cities on so-called "arab land" are arab names? 3. Again Britain did not "relocate" Israelis... there have always been jews in Jerusalem for centuries. 4. Don't get your information from Wikipedia... you make yourself sound sadly ignorant. |

Gamesmart: Tell me you point, my friend!
Explain to me why Jews should be able to take Palestinian land from 1948.
Make sense. No they didn't. This is a tiresome falsehood that arabs have successfully perpetuated. There were always jews on that land. The entire land of Palestine was divided into 2 - 75% is Jordan today, the remaining 25% was for Jews. The Jews took their portion in peace, arabs decided they wanted 100%... here we go today. You should familiarize yourself with the Balfour declaration. |

Aishat89: I have applied 4 times for an F1 visa to study in Houston community college ( liberal art and science) and got denied all through * though I have a bsc degree in biochemistry.
My Previous experiences in the american embassy have been heart acheing because I am yet to get approved...
I seriously don't wish to get denied again. It's why i have questions for the my people here it seems i was doing something wrong or it was just the system that wasn't helpful. Regardless whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well..
My questions are 1. Is it advisable to apply again since my last visit was in 2019, but now requesting for a visiting visa (looking into conferences) is this okay.
2. I have always been denied on the basis of "not proving enough ties back home" what do i do to get through this. Plus I intending to sponsor my self ( presently employed as a scientific officer in a federal hospital) and i am currently in year one out of a three years Midwifery program here because i believe it will count as enough ties plus my personal funding... How much more do i need to do to get approved... Plss anybody's knowledgeable advice will help me out of this dilemma. I am married with no kid yet... Anybody's guidance will be highly appreciated thank you You have a BSc, why would you want to go get an associates degree which is a level below what you already have? Should explain why you've been denied 4 times. |

QueenRebecca: Some Nigerian Christians think only Muslims are suffering from the attack made by the Israel. Majority of you don't know that Christian Palestinians and Jewish Palestinians also suffer from the brute Force attack of Israel. You all comment out of emotions. The believe of present day Israel is that if you are not 100% Jew, you are not worth of human, you are a GOYIM to them. I refuse to be an ignorant. You are indeed ignorant. 20% of Israel's population are arabs. They enjoy freedoms in Israel that are non-existent in any arab Muslim nation today, including Gaza, Egypt, Jordan etc. None of them will swap their Israeli passports for anything else. They are fully represented in Israel and even have a powerful political party that represents them in the Israeli Knesset. Permit me to ask... how many Jews are permitted to live peacefully in Egypt, Jordan, Gaza, the West Bank, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Qatar? |

IjapaTiroko: Israel VS Palestine is a dicey situation. I can't support either party. Israel is hell bent on collecting all their ancestral land. Palestine is hell bent on keeping their country. I'm trying to see things from Palestine angle but: Palestine has never existed as an Arab “country”. This is revisionist history. Until 1949, the term “Palestine” referred to Jews. Palestine isn’t he’ll bent on keeping their country, they are hell bent on killing Jews. It’s just that simple. 75% of historical Palestine became Jordan in the 1940s, ruled by Saudi kings… why aren’t Palestinians he’ll bent on taking back that land too? |

Lamideyy: It now seems like getting full undergraduate funding from US universities is a real struggle I feel most of them are going broke I dont even know anymore I applied to 8 different schools 1360SAT 102 TOEFL Received a full funding from none The schools aren't broke, full funding for undergraduate degrees are hard to come by, even for US citizens. Most of the full funding opportunities are in research PhDs. To get full funding at the Bachelors level, you need to have a stellar application... at minimum, in the 1% of applicants. A 1360 SAT is unlikely to get you full funding where there are people coming with perfect scores. |

My problem is the 2nd interview I want not given any opportunity to explain and this one they are saying home ties now I was thinking maybe I use a sponsor that had the same surname with me to help prove home ties
But any advise you give me will be appreciated abeg............... Do this and you will be denied a 3rd time. How can you have 3 separate sponsors? |

chrisadigwe: First interview
VO: Good morning and how are you and pass me your documents Me: I am fine and I passed him my documents VO: Is your funding a full tuition waiver Me: I said yes VO: but I can see that it’s not a full tuition waiver Me: I replied it’s a full tuition waiver and I have a letter to prove that VO: no I don’t need to see that but I can see there differences in your estimated fee and actual tuition fee Me: I replied I don’t know probably might some insurance fee not covered VO: he went on and asked why is my company sponsoring me are they so generous Me: I said because I have been working for over five years with the company and we have a policy of rewarding staff to allow them go on study leave but before I ended VO: are you married I said no VO: have you travelled out before and then I said no
Before he said sorry you do not qualify for the visa. He even emphasized that I reed the green slip 2 problems here: 1. Your I-20 is the official document detailing your cost of education. If the VO thinks that you don't have full funding clearly stated on the I-20, then you do not have full funding. You should have reviewed this in more detail before your interview. 2. In your first interview, you said your company was sponsoring you for study leave as a reward. In the second interview, you reverted to your uncle. If indeed your company was sponsoring you the first time, it is extremely unlikely that they would withdraw the offer just because you failed the first interview. The VO now assumes that you were lying the first time. |

FutureSenator: Hello,
May the best person win in court.
It depends on your I-20. If your program start date is different from the first day of class, then you may arrive not later than the first day of class. Now if that date (first week of July) is later than the first day of class, you should contact your school (international office) and ask for written permission. In some cases, a new I-20 might need to be issued.
In summary, if you are arriving in the US after the first day of class ( start of class on I-20), you might need to show additional documentation at the point of entry, that you have permission from your school.
Regards. I will rephrase that - "you WILL need". |

kastgeraldino: I don't understand. You say one does not need anything else to stay in Canada within 30 days if you are in the US, but you also talk about mailing in an application for visiting visa. You need a visiting visa to Canada - which is easy because you won't be expected to leave your education in the US to live illegally in Canada. You can request the visa by mailing your application + passport to the Buffalo office - I think this is still the case (you get your stamped visa and passport in the mail after a few weeks). What you don't need is a visa to return to the US after your visit. Say your F1 visa expires after 2 years, you can re-enter the US after a visit to Canada or Mexico if you were away for less than 30 days. Comes in handy if you don't want to have to return to Nigeria every year or 2 to renew your F1 visa. |

Disgraceful. We are basically admitting we have no capacity to provide security to our citizens so the US should come set up a base here and fight Boko Haram... while our military officers continue to get paid millions just to pose in uniforms. Why did we even bother to fight for independence? We should have remained a British colony... Nigeria would have been far better of. |

US Visa secured now Canada can go and rest I guess i start saving up for the rainy days cos US VISA no be the endgame..
My humble advice to future candidates 1. Always answer your questions simple and clear. Long answers are a turn off for them 2.No need to fake accent, cos it would just put unnecessary pressure and you may end up saying what you wish not to say 3. Always be relaxed, don't do like you having a job interview. see it like as if you telling your friend about your goals and achievements 4. Also don't allow those touts to exhort telling you to print unnecessary documents, the documents you need are stated already. Those guys chop up to 10k from me Once you get to the US and settled, mail-in an application for a Canada visiting visa and go have fun. You don't need anything else to travel to Canada and return to the US, provided you do so within 30 days. Congrats! |
